I pledge allegiance to Chelsea since they won big in most of the game at the start of season.. I have a memory of a gold fish so i cant remember which season, which team they beat and who's the manager. During that time i was just choosing a team to support just to have a lil bit of joy in watching football with my mates whom i had a crush with one of 'em. But then I start to really fall in love with the team. There have been ups and downs and I start to enjoy riding the roller coaster life with the team. I googled the player, the manager, the owner and every single thing about Chelsea. I may not remember every game, every legend Chelsea have or every single manager they have hired. People say if you're a true fan, you need to know you're team through and through. Well I beg to differ. All i know is my day at work is spoiled when Chelsea lose. I refused to talk to anyone when people makes fun of Terry when he made a couple of mistake that caused us to lose to Arsenal. I'm living in the moment. I refused to look at the past whether on their victory or their failure. It doesnt matter if one player goes, because a new player will come. If a manger is sacked, a new one will be hired. But Chelsea will always be there! From his year onward, my blood is pumping blue fluid. I'll be with them through good and bad time. All hail Chelsea!

Absolutely brilliant post. I just felt an instant connect with whatever the author was trying to say, maybe because I became a fan in nearly the same way. Just that in my case it was FIFA 2000 (Thank you E.A. Sports!) which twisted my mind totally and made me completely football (and Chelsea) obsessed. And I am still mystified as to why I chose them as my team (maybe it was coz of my favourite colour blue?). But here I am, 12 years on, and its amazing to believe that even though I am only 20, I have spent more than half my life supporting the blues. Whether we win or lose tonight won't matter, I am just proud to see that my team is out there, at the Allianz, and they will do everything possible to make us all proud. Next year, we may not even be in the Champions League, but if the blood is true and blue, that's hardly gonna matter! Hell we will conquer the Europa league then ;) ! Chelsea forever!

P. S. Really really glad to come across so many of you blue folks in India. It sure is lonely and frustrating being a Chelsea fan surrounded by idiots dressed in red all the time. :D

I Love your story on how you became a CHELSEA Fan! I have a similar story, I had been watching Football (Champions League) because nothing else was on, and I was really enjoying the moves and ball control. After a few matches I realized that the easy part was striking the ball, and the hard part was blocking it. Petr Cech was the player who stood above the rest in my eyes. He was so intuitive and in symbience with the movement of the ball and players. CECH is the very reason I am a CHELSEA supporter.
AWESOME save in the2012 FA Cup CECH, right Carroll

Thats when they shut it up! But yeah-The guy Chelsea fans have ALWAYS been supportive. It gets tough when you have to prove every single time that your not JUST another wannabe fan. I know the game-the rules-the history-the chants-the jersey codes! So yeah- KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGH !! :D

hey, i am 15... i have been a Chelsea fan since that 2008 Champs league FINAL loss.... i am from India and here, it's all ManU and ManU.... in my school.. there are 1000 manU supporters and a 100 Chelsea supporters. That's bad. I used to follow football since I was 10. Watched the ones which telecast on Star Sports (no ESPN, and it's Delhi). Then I watched the UEFA CL final. And I don't know why I got really pissed when Chelsea lost. At that time, I didn't even know any Chelsea player. I was all Barca! Barca! But now, I have not missed a single Chelsea match in the last 2 seasons, either watching the streaming or listening to bet365 commentary. I maintain an Excel worksheet of the stats of each player. No. of matches played, minutes played, goals scored, match highlights, bookings received... i have them all. I LOVE CHELSEA!!! Also I ahve my own superstitions. When there is a set play for either side, I will close my eyes and mute the sound coz i fear if i see or listen the play, Chelsea will concede a goal. That's my superstition. Also I have begun to write a blog about our UEFA CL matches. Check it out everyone and please tell how it is:

Hi, I'm Elif Nazik from Turkey. I'm 15 and I have been a Chelsea fan since I'm 13... It's not been a long time but easily I can say that Chelsea is my team, my all, my life. There's nothing to explain, just saw and love this team to death. I hate living in Turkey, I want to be in London, to go to my teams matches and to talking about Chelsea easily. The people around me are getting me crazy, asking foolish questions like "are you supporting Chelsea because of handsome men" or "are you supporting Chelsea just to be cool"... Even I don't know what they mean. It makes me feel more comfortable to know there're Chelsea fans all around the world.

At first i was a fan of none ... not following a team. It started with hating the red devil supporter from England in 2002. i was bump into this lad in my hometown .. started with light conversation with small thing and then suddenly football .... he was so proud and arrogant when telling me MU is the greatest club in the world bla bla bla ... Annoying but it was still OK. then he involved the country ... "You should be ashamed with your country, cant even shine in asia" ... wooooo that is over the limit .. Involving one country could start a war. Swore to myself ... No MU for me.

That was the beginning .... it was 2002 ... world cup ... and i support german. then ballack join chelsea in 2006. So my road to chelsea was Arrogant Man U fan - World Cup 2002 - German - Ballack - Chelsea ...
- a fan from Malaysia.

Have you tried contacting Chelsea through their website? They might be of some help. And Google, of course!

You are true by saying, 'It’s a form of a love – it’s about how we feel inside – the joy and the pain – that defines our love for our team/club.' I tried to become a Chelsea fan to follow some serious Chelsea fans, However it did not work!! For some reason my heart goes behind Man U. I don't watch or follow football that often but love to watch it every time they play...probabilities of me switching onto to a different channel is pretty less when they play! I think it started from Beckham days and then Ronaldo, Rooney & Giggs! I love them all more than Drogba or Lampard. I also love Gerrard since the day I saw him score against West Ham in 2006 in FA Cup final! However Liverpool certainly not my choice! When there is something which you love doing without anyone's push you keep doin it on & on & on & on....4 years is pretty less time...I believe this will go on until Chelsea exists :)
