The Blue Champions Club - Fantasy League Football

You know, I have a poor track record in fantasy leagues. Invariably, my selection would screw me royally which makes me lose interest and quit within a few weeks. That’s strange because, I’m generally very successful in Football Manager/Championship Manager. Now, I’m entering fantasy league again, hopefully with you guys. Now I have a plan that can work out well for you and me, with your support.

SquadGod.com has come up with a new fantasy league for the 07-08 Premiership season. For people who are new to fantasy league, it is a highly simplified version of football manager, where you’re given a budget and you’ve to choose your playing XI from any team. Well, you can’t choose more than 2 from any single team.

This is how my team looks:

According to the performance of these players in real football week-in week-out, they’ll earn you points. Every week or so, you’d also be given a chance to replace a player. The one who ends up with the highest points, will naturally be the winner. There is some science behind how a player’s performance is measured in every football game, such as 20 points for a goal, 10 points for an assist and 5 points for a shot on goal and the list is long. Who’s going to keep track of every shot taken? Certainly it’s not you or me. That’s something SquadGod.Com will take care. We will just play fantasy league and have fun.

fantasy-league.JPG

I’ve signed up for this fantasy league challenge and what I’ve done here is that I’ve created a new group for all the BlueChampions.Com fans, supporters and visitors. The name of the group is The Blue Champions Club. I repeat, it is ‘THE Blue Champions Club’, check the word ‘THE’ in the title. That’s because I created two for seeing all the options and settled down with one of them.

ftsofar.JPGAll that you’ve to do is to sign up for this fantasy league here. And then apply for joining ‘The Blue Champions Club‘. This would trigger an email to me, which I would approve and you’d become a member of this club. And, if you’re new to fantasy league and if you’d like to know more about this, you can get that here or in particular how the scoring etc of this fantasy league works, it’s here. On the left, you can see the list of members who have signed up so far. These are the guys you’ll whom you will be competing with for becoming the fantasy league champion.

We all can compete against each other and we’ll see who can be the champion! Don’t you love this idea?

Joeblue - The scoring system of squadgod fantasy league is far superior to that of official premier league. In the end, squadgod will have a more accurate reflection of actual performance of players than the official premier league site. That’s my view!

Do you agree?

i dont really kno much abt the squadgod thing BC , but i hav played fantasy football on the official site for 2 years and let me assure u its amazing , the group administration even has forums to discuss topcs related to the fantasy league and the site has a thorough representation of the players , yes squadgod does hav a detailed approach at scoring but my advise wld be the official site!!!

a suggestion though u can check it out by making ur team and generating a group at the official site , if u want i will give u my team , password etc on that site and u can check it out , whatever ur decision be either way i wil be with u mate!!!

Cheers

Hey mate joeblue! I did register in premier league fantasy football and also in few others. I was more concerned about the scoring system. For instance, in premier league fantasy, if a player plays for more than 60 mins (however bad his contribution was), he earns 2 points but if another player comes in at 80th min and provides an assist, he gets only 3 points. I felt that the scoring system in the premier league fantasy, is to some extent unfair. If you visit the links in my comment#19 above, you’ll understand.
