Quite a decent win. After a poor first half, Chelsea picked up momentum in the second half and Didier Drogba was there to clean up Brondby. More than anything, at the end of the pre-season friendlies, key players stayed away from injuries as much as possible.
Are you back to your senses after that defeat last week? Cool it. Let’s treat a friendly like one and give it only what it deserves. In our last pre-season friendly, we meet Brondby on Tuesday evening. In other news, even the new french-beard of Benitez has not impressed Jose, and some bits and pieces [...]
First defeat of the season. Luckily for me, the internet stream was so screwed up that I ended up playing Winning Eleven with my mate, after the first half. No one likes to lose but I’m not stupid to get worried for a defeat in a friendly match. With what little I saw and what [...]
There are ways of describing this result - from the optimistic ‘we continue our unbeaten streak’ to ‘we were held to a draw’ to ‘once again we couldn’t score more than a goal’. Anyway, we got a good friendly match, we had a very good opposition, who did not surrender and allow us to walk [...]
Chelsea travel to The Netherlands for the friendly against Feyenoord on Wednesday at 18:00 UK. So, they can stop playing soccer and resume their good old football, european style. Feyenoord will be easily the toughest of opponents for Chelsea this month. We’ll talk about this and also I’m sure you want to know how Man [...]
Short post today. Some quick news roundup on how Jose Mourinho wants to change his personality, on what Terry thinks about moving to/playing in USA, why Khalid thinks Jose made a mistake and some ‘positive’ developments at Man Utd, Liverpool & Arsenal. Also, my second thoughts on the LA Galaxy game.
If you wondered why Chelsea flew to the USA for a (world!) series of friendlies, Blue Winner has the answers. No, the answer is not that they can party in the hollywood with Paris Hilton and other babes. Blue Winner makes end to end review of Chelsea’s US tour without talking too much what we [...]
Disappointment. Now that’s a goal difference of 3 in as many matches in the US of A. I’m not sure what objectives Jose had for these friendlies. May be, he wanted everyone get some match practice, gain some sharpness and come out without any injuries. If so, Jose would be happy, but I’m not.
Last match of the US tour today or tomorrow depending on where you are. David Beckham may not play and I don’t think his participation is really going to matter for the Chelsea fans. I’d still get up early in the morning to tune into Chelsea TV to watch us win the match. No, I’m [...]
1-0 for Chelsea at 80′. Didier Drogba. That’s pretty much the story. We were the better team by some miles but typical pre-season rustiness meant we would win the match by just one goal. Yes, there was motivation to win the match, you could sense that when you see Jose getting upset ‘in his own [...]
Chelsea FC has come up with a new campaign titled ‘It’s in the blood‘ to show the growing passion of its supporters. This phrase will be used more frequently and widely in all things Chelsea. This is something in the mould of ‘KTBFFH’ and ‘YNWA’, so you should start seeing more and more of ‘IITB’.
Okay, so we start with a win. After allowing a goal even before feeling the grass, we just continued from where we left last season by knocking off the opponent with a couple to late strikes. How much ever Jose says about his indifference towards the result of this match, I’m sure he’s got this [...]
