Not enough time for a new post for the Wigan match. There is one interesting update though. Adidas have sent me a football. Not just ‘a’ football. It’s the official champions league final match ball. Not just the official champions league final match ball. It’s a ball signed by a Chelsea player – our goal machine Salomon Kalou!
Here are the pictures. Click on them to see the enlaaarged versions:
Just had some kick about with the ball today. Felt great kicking the official champions league final match ball. Can’t help but think the players are gifted to have the opportunity to be playing on the pitch, and be part of great occasions like champions league finals. Hmm . . . I’m back to my playstation football . . .
Quick words on the match today. We don’t normally play inconsequential premier league matches in the month of April. Looks like this season, we are. To Fernando Torres: Care a damn about the result, just go get that goal man!

BC ,the chance that chelsea may not touch that ball is killing me.
Your photo makes my pain new again!!!
That ball is sexy…
You have nice balls.
I saw that coming. LOL!
They’re all calling it an ‘ugly’ win.
A Win is a win. That is all.
PS: Nice ball, BC !
I hope you practise hard as the team might need you with the way it’s going…..well in football anything can happen and I hope it does for us….but realistically we have been out of the league for months and I suspect in the CL we are lame ducks not only on how we played but the spirit shown unless there is a 180 degree turnaround……in the league we did not defend it adequately or with any fight but went out in a meekly ages ago…we got knocked out of the other cups just as cheaply which was further embarrasing for a club so rich in players…..in looking at carlo’s record with milan he won only one scudetta in the 9 years, yet had some great players and an owner who was supportive with cash…yes he won 2 CL’s but again in any year of the competition for the last 20 milan would always be in the top 8 to be considered a big chance…….what I’m saying is that he is a good coach but not one who is going to challenge on all competitions or with consistency…as for the double, well looking at his playing roster he had a large squad who were very experienced while a squad with much more diversity of styles..but the past is the past and the present is not good enough….it was interesting what wilkins said about the manure performance as a former insider he said it was a gutless performance by the players…agree…and that he was hugely surprised that carlo opted for the 4.4.2 which would benefit manure rather than sticking with our successful style of 4.3.3…in his view we could not play any worse in the return…..well we will see but for me this team has been lacking many things for months which as yet no solutions found…there was an snippet in the media that there is a whiff the sporting coach is being linked to chelsea. Interesting as he did work for mourinho as a former assistant for some time and in a short time has achieved some good things….for us we need someone who is young, still adaptable but obviously a football brain in the gudiola vein who will be creative and bring in newer trends and thinking rather than just work in narrow paths which then makes the team predicatable or jaded in the way they play which to my mind we have been doing for ages…under carlo we are going to continue like this but with the opposition pulling away from us evenmore.
sturridge 6 goals now in 8 games…but with us it was a different story…why?
