Im still here guys. I’ve not abandoned the blog. It’s just that I’ve not been able to spend time on/for the blog ever since I landed in Singapore. I’ve been watching the matches though. I haven’t yet found that perfect pub to watch football but that hasn’t stopped me from watching Chelsea play.
Today’s match is of great significance. Any premier league match is important and more so if it’s against a top 8 team. But this match is a bit different. Chelsea has been flying so high that the you see experts saying that Chelsea will run away with the title. Mancini says Chelsea will win the title easily.
Our thus far superiority in this season is also helped by the fixtures draw. Not playing any of the top teams very early in the league has helped us not only to amass points and goals but also match fitness and confidence. Today’s match will be our first test of this season. If we win today, we tell the league ‘we are leading the table for real’. If Chelsea wins today, suddenly our rivals will feel that the points difference is bigger than it actually is. A win today will cut the odds by s great deal.
We should win not just because there are 3 morale boosting points at stake. We should win because the pain of the defeat against Man City at Stamford Bridge still stays in our minds. It was such a key match from a league table point of view and also because the world was bothered about what John Terry does in the bedroom. That was one match we should not have lost. And we lost heavily. In a match where Man City was invisible in the first half, we humiliated at home.
The time for pay back is here. We might be missing Lampard, Kalou and Benayoun but so what? We have Anelka! Really, we have some red hot youngsters who are waiting to make the best of these opportunities. Wouldn’t it be great if Sturridge stabs one back at Man City?
I think we will win 3-0. What arrogance? What do you mean?

GipsyBlue & All – BC Shout has been cleaned up. Enjoy the match!

chelsea 3-1 man city just wait and see.
Chelsea will win this game revenge time and payback time
The clash of the billions its been called in many news papers. It will become a classic. A 3-1 win for Chelsea. McE will score his first EPL goal.

We sure missed lampard, cos is replacement was not good enough “RAMISES”
OK I will say it if most guys won’t !
Yesterday we needed to play Jose Mourinho style especially in the final 30 mins.
1. We needed to bombard the City with long balls and win the aerial fights which Drogs and Essien and Ivanovich and Co
could’ve won.
2. We could’ve /should’ve feinted them a bit and brought their midfield out….. Our defence is/was good enough to
withstand some attack … and counter attacked ( btw : that’s where Zirkov & Sturridge would have done best )
3 We should’ve changed plays ( already memorized by everyone ) used against lower lower opponents.
4. It was a tactical game by all accounts but not too tactical enough for some of us old timer Chelsea fans.. because we
didn’t really GRIND city down.
I concede I am not a super fan of CA and more of a relic from the old JM days but I have been around long enough to know that Yaya Toure and Nigel De Jong are not pussy cats….. and need to be met force with force… boot to boot…. and whcked up the arse to win a match like this………. I don’t say these things in retrospect either coz was screaming at bar… after the first Header went in and the ManCs new luck was on their side….
Anyways as I said earlier…. Learn and evolve….. and smash em next time around !

I LOVE McEachran !!!
None of our rivals took advantage of our loss! Arsenal lost to West Brom 3-2, Man U drew 2-2 with Bolton! Our rival fans say that we can’t win against big teams but they can’t even beat the not so big teams!
I almost cried over the poor performance against Citeh. We knew they would play like that. Why weren’t we up for it then?
Then later on I started laughing and I haven’t stopped yet. Arseanal beaten by WBA and Manure drew against Bolton. Weekend saved and we have time to re-focus.
The loss to Shitty was hard…
but as Dana said.. it was awesome to see arsenal lose and man u draw against bolton …( btw it was hard to see manure draw.. they deserved to lose 1 – 2)
but.. i jus want to bring something out.. to capture the bizzare consistency among the top three…
1. Are we witnessing a surge in the performance and solidity of man shitty.. if yes… how much shud we worry abt it..
2. Its all right to say the way we literally trashed the first 5 teams we played…. but dont u think the no. of crunch matches in which the result really has a bearin on the title winning chances has gone up from 5 – 6 to 13 – 14….
3. I most certainly think.. we would NEED to buy in january… and it shud probably be not a player who is cup-tied with either of the knock-out competitions.. FA and UCL
No sense crying about football matters; too much serious stuff going on in the world today. I understand we all have a love of the game and a deep passion for Chelsea in particular. I always try to find something positive to focus on during the rare weekends when we lose or draw. This weekend the Arsenal-WBA game was broadcast here in the States immediately after the Chelsea-Citeh game, it was a real treat watching the Gooners struggle so mightily against a promoted team. Anyone notice how Arsenal are just garbage without Fabregas? and he usually struggles against the very good teams. Manure can only draw with Bolton; Marvelous, just Marvelous!
KTBFFH
Fantasy Note: Keep an eye on Odemwingie from WBA; he could be the bargain of the season.
The fact is that we are still at the top of the table, that is what champions do! So, friends cool down and be happy. For me i am impressed by Villa’s right winger, Albrighton? He is a real something!
On Saturday, i was playing an away match some 60 kilometers away. Sped back home only to catch the last 20 minutes of the game. It seems Lampsy was terribly missed, Zhirkov underperformed. But one thing i don’t get is why Drogba was subbed (with Sturridge)?!!! Carlo said Sturridge would bring speed, i would never trade one foot of Drogba for 10 Sturridges!
Ok guys, my take on the game with city. I think we were out fought last saturday. People accuse us of always being physical but as a long time observer of our game i think our boys are naturally powerful but dont play physical. I think were naive against city. City were told by their manager to play it “hard”. It was so evident their game was to engage the Blues in a physical battle to throw us off our game. You could see this from Kolo and yaya toure, the worst culprit boyata and even tiny silva was kicking and punching his way thru. I think we were naive because i thought we should have matched them but rather u could see Mikel and even more blatanly Ivanovic pulling out of tackles.
It seems Carlo didn’t learn from last season’s second defeat to city at the Bridge. What city does is play deep frustrate our players with rough physical play and then when they have the ball pass to Tevez who would then b with an isolated defender. It happened at the Bridge and it happened on Saturday too. To stop tevez the marker would have to be robust and dogged as tevez himself. That’s why i thought Carlo got it wrong. I am not a football manager and i will never claim to know better than Carlo but i think Carlo should have varied his game to neutralise tevez cos we had the better attacking options to cos havoc when we got the ball. I just hope he has learnt his lesson now although i think this has again put an edge on the return encounter which city want anyways. They like to play us when there is controversy.
The strange coincidence though is that lat season we lost to city after getting dumped in the Carling cup and then went on to draw in the champions league match after that. I just hope it’s not repeated this week. Though i wouldn’t mind it going as it did last season, provided we win the double again.
Anyone noticed how Andy carroll won the penalty for newcastle on sunday, Andy Gray was on sky claiming how it was a stupid foul by Huth. Yet the same Andy Gray was on praising boyata for putting drogba in his place, for clatteing him without going for the ball. I guess if they hate u , they hate u. These guys r not pundits , they r supporters of teams who wish their beloved manure will win everything
good to lose now. an eye opener. lets all come back to reality and fight it out till the last game..forget abt winning the cup by january..aint gonna happen..lamps, get well soon plz
Had Lampard played this game then the score would have been different. It was a good game for both teams but city won because they explored our weak point and capitalized on it. Ramires was totally rubbish. He was actually our main weak link and concedes possession to easily. He should’ve gone off at the break but i was surprised he played till the last 10 minutes and why must Drogba go off for Sturridge. Josh should get more playing time, say 30 minutes, he’s just a delight to watch. I believe we’ll bounce back with Marseille. Go Chelsea!!!
Hey guys who would have thought that it would be manchester city to bring the oil rig to come toppling down. Hahaha in all honesty chelsea deserved to lose that match. That is what I can tell from the highlights. We only created half chances for ourselves while manchester city capiltalised on our inequalities. We played pathetic. cheers!!

Three things i do not understand dude..
1. How can anyone write “we played pathetic” and “Cheers” in the same line.
2, your blatant and sadistic submission of chelsea “deserving” to lose the match
3. And manchester city..brought the “oil rig toppling down”… i mean tht remark is as snide as one can get…
From your comments…. i can infer tht you u really took pleasure out of us losing the match dude…. and how can u forget that even after not gaining any points we wud have been a point clear even if the others wud have won theirs…( good thing they did not though..) … so where the f*** is the question of toppling…
I too am of the opinion tht .. yes.. match cud have been won.. provided we had been more physical in the center and retained the ball more than we actually did…
but.. seriously dude… ur comments or rather the manner in which they are framed… are completely uncalled for… u better chk if your loyalties are in the right place…..
Lez all hope we beat marseille…
KTBFFH… :)

We need to buy in Jan. Looking at our bench, we don’t have one person who could have changed the match.. That is why I regret selling Stoch.. He was the only youngster to every come from a chelsea bench and create an impact.. He has all attributes of Sturridge ( fast ) .. Good thing about Lampard not being there is people will realize we have to plan gradually before he leaves. Need to buy in Jan a bare min is good back up to cech.
I also regret having sold Stoch…i have expressed my surprise and disapproval already.
Friends,
Bosingwa had featured for 70 minutes in the reserves against l-pool; we won it 3:1!

i hope we buy ,but there are no quality players in january i hope we buy cos we dont hv a bench like u said..we should hv bought a striker and a midfielder during the summer but the board decided to buy 3 players …
Yeah Kaz, Michael definitely cannot be a Blue and delight in our demise.
I am sure that we will thrash Marseille tonight, our players are hurt with two recent loses and is going to bounce back strongly. They will have the desire to give some good feeling back to the fans after the recent hiccups!
My starting 11:
Malouda………….Nico………..Kakuta
McEachran………………………Essien
………………………Mikel…………………
Ashley…..Terry…..Alex….Ivanovic
……………………..Cech………………….
Subs.: Hilario, Zhirkov, Ferreira, Aanholt, Bruma, Ramires , Sturridge
Ramires and Sturridge to come on for Kaku and Josh if the need be! After leading with many goals we can put Zhirkov in for either Ashley or Malouda.
Kaz I am just as dissapointed with the result as millions of blues supporters around the world. In my honest opinion Chelsea could have won the match. Have you been watching any of Manchester Citeh matches. There is absolutely no continuity. They just kick the ball around the park and hope for the best. They are a rudderless ship.
Matblue if you had to ask me several years ago had Chelsea losing hurt I would have given you a big yes! Now that I am of a more advanced age I simply don’t care. To the owner, board members and players that’s there lively-hood but to a supporter its just a game. cheers!!
3:0 for us, at the least!

I don’t agree , Shawn.. Look at the players we got durin Jan – Ivanovic & Anelka.. United got Evra & Vidic. Arsenal got Adebayor. City got Adam Johnson for just 6 MM from middleborough, last season.. Only problem is they are tied to champions league, but we should make sure to use these player before CL games so that Drogba / etc can be rested
We need a player maker, because we are still facing the same problem we had against Inter in the second leg or City where we could break the defense..
The list of people in our sub bench is just not convicing if we have to win trophies.
Interesting team –
4 left side players.
Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Alex, Cole, Essien, Mikel, Zhirkov, Kakuta, Anelka, Malouda
Nico is the coolest penalty taker.
Nico is the coolest penalty taker.
agreed (:
which sadly reminds me, IF ONLY he couldve done that during that night in moscow…

Yeah, i remembered that too!
Turnbull has signed for hselcea is a normal course of business for Chelsea, so nothing to get excited about, but a signing nevertheless. From the way cech has been keeping for hselcea recently I believe that turnbull has a very good chance of dethroning cech from his position, provided he himself has the potential and proves that he can do that. But honestly I dunt think he has enough quality in him to command a starting position for any premiership club, let alone hselcea fc. And thats precisely the reason why he has decided to come to hselcea to play second fiddle to cech cuz he knows his limitations. You see some things are so evident and self explanatory that one does not need to elaborate it any further .Now as per the terms of his contract, ancelotti is to resume work on July 1 but he still on vacation and so are his players and would resume work only on this cuming monday this lethargic attitude would concern any football supporter (only a true one) ..there seems no seriousity about this at all .I mean I know its just a matter of a few days but it is not about days over here but it all about the attitude of the person ..Its all about being principled in life and if you are not principled then your life is a waste ..On the contrary he should be resuming his services on July 1st itself and should have instructed his squad and his staff to make themselves available on those dates it wiould only help him quickly assess his players, have a look at them, see who he wants and who he wants to see exit the club .strike a smooth communicative language with terry and all other players .also coming back quicker would have enabled him work on his transfers quickly enough and ensure that he gets all his transfers in time (or as quickly as possible) before they leave for the pre season tour to the US .these things will ensure that the new players get an opportunity to play in pre season which would enable him to see if they gel together and what is the best 11 that he has as his disposal. But Mr ancelotti thinks otherwise. The only thing that Mr. scholari did right was the statement that he made just a few days back, which was that hselcea fc is a fc where the players have more authority than the head coach and it is they who decide what is to be done and what is not to be done . I just cannot disagree with scholari on this one cuz these statements are so fucking true and reflect the real picture at this club and I have this feeling that things will remain the same under ancelotti as wellll. This is one of the reasons why hselcea fc will always be hselcea fc and will never become a great club like manchester fc cuz at the grassroot level it is a just a wealthy club with bad elements and spoilt brats (around it) and with no vision and no idea about which direction it wants to go in . 2
