The Champions just did that last piece of business. Chelsea have won the first double in their history. Carlo Ancelotti completes a dream season despite a premature champions league elimination. Some could be a bit disappointed with the thin scoreline. Let’s remember, Chelsea have just won the premier league last week. They may not even be done with their celebrations. It’s bloody hard to keep your focus when you’ve just become the champion and if you’ve to play a domestic final the next week. Also add the upcoming world cup in the mix, it’s a tough challenge.
Special mention to Pompey. They played well. Unlike Chelsea, for many weeks this is the only thing they had to play for. Having long been relegated, they had been preparing just to win this cup. They were many grades below Chelsea, in terms of ability but they showed real desire to win the match. Credit to Avram and Pompey.
What made it more difficult for us was also the quality of the pitch. The ball didn’t seem to roll properly. The pace and bounce of the ball was not true. Every now and then, our passes didn’t reach the destination because the weight of the pass had to be more because of the poor pitch. For a fantastic stadium such as Wembley, the pitch is such a shame. With a better pitch, we could have raced into a comfortable lead in the first half.
In the end, Chelsea were very deserving winners. In the commentary, they sounded as if a Boateng penalty would have won the cup for them. It would have given them the advantage but remember, they are playing the champions. If Boateng had scored it, you never know, a rampant Chelsea might have upped the gear and decimated Portsmouth. Also, before Cech saved the penalty, Chelsea might have been already 4-0 up, if we had finished better. I can’t play football to save my life but I think I could slotted in the sitter that Kalou missed. It’s so hard to miss that and he did the impossible.
Lampard’s been so good all season that he has do stuff like missing a penalty just to show that the law of averages does exist. He played well enough to have got a brace by himself but he had contend only with the FA Cup trophy. I thought Malouda had a poor match and Anelka too. Alex and Ivanovic had my heart beat go up every now and then with their positioning. Drogba from that range and angle was always going to score that free kick. This weapon of his is something that his rivals don’t have. I hope Ballack’s injury is not a concern for his world cup plans. Ashley Cole, the six-time FA cup champion, is my man of the match today.
John Terry is now the captain of the team that has won the double. He is the captain of the champions. He is in fine form. Rio cannot even make the team on his form and fitness. But still, John Terry will not captain his country at the world cup. The whole affair and the subsequent world cup axe are really very difficult setbacks. I’ve my full respect for JT to have come back from these downs and have championed twice this season. If I were the coach of the England team, I wouldn’t look beyond John Terry for the role of captaincy.
What a season this has been! I’m very very very very happy! If you know me, you know that I rate the premier league much much above the champions league. Which is why I’m very very very very happy. Now I can watch the rest of the football season at peace – la liga, serie a, champions league, world cup – I can watch these at peace now. In this kind of form, how do you think Chelsea would fare in the world cup? Okay then, relax, have fun, enjoy, celebrate, run around like mad people because . . .
We are the champions – my friends!
And we’ll keep on fighting – till the end . .
We are the champions!
We are the champions!
No time for losers . .
‘Cause we are the champions – of the world!

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Besian Idrizaj, who left this world much too early.
Congrats Blues, you guys have done a great job this season. You guys have proved yourself to be heroes. I finally have the peace that i was looking for since past 3 years after Jose left. Keep up the spirit buddies, and there will be more silverware to come next season. Hats-off to King Carlo for doing this incredible job in single season. You made it rain goals this season, and broke records after records. EPL was a tight race this season, and you did great job winning double over our rivals. So build up a team for next season that can challenge Manures, Barca and RM(in final) in CL. I´m almost sure we´ll face these teams. RM vs Chelsea at final, because Mou will rule Spain at RM and its our destiny to meet him again and again.
I was reading funny comments today, and came across few. This is what Catania coach had to say:
“Catania Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic: I Would Rather Die Than Coach Milan Or Palermo “
And of course Jose: “What is that “Boredom” by Ranieri? I know only “The nausea” by Sartre.” (Never mess with Jose!
)
We won another title. We should be EXCITED beyond belief. This idea that we didnt win the BEST tournament is a joke
We do not have a rich, rich history so we should be VERY happy to continue adding on to our titles number
United fans laugh at us being happy at this yet they will then turn around and claim that they are tied with Liverpool….um, can you take out the non-important titles in that list please? Nah, of course they won’t
This has been a very successful season. Well done to Carlo Ancelotti by making this managering look so easy by establishing some targets within the Chelsea fc camp and successfully reaching their goals. To have won the double over each of the big four was an amazing achievement by the team. Well done Blues on winning the FA Premier League and FA Cup (the double). cheers!
we are champions….double in the bag…next season treble all the way…good work BC..more grease to your elbows next season….KTBFFH
I knew it BC that you’ll add Queen’s song at the end.Anyway, this has been a historic season
Well we won the cup but it was such a shabby performance from chelsea fc against a hapless portsmouth…………..maybe they had not got over their EPL hangover…alex was sleeping on the pitch cuz he was not defending…terry was wrestling players for fun….obviously kalou can never put up a string of decent performances at a stretch….anelka was roaming on the pitch with no objective until carlo substituted the lost frenchman….maloudas performances sizzled out in the last couple of games….
I still feel that chelsea won the league just because of the shortcomings of united…..had they kept their players at the start of the season we would have just yet again deserved to pick up the FA cup or maybe not even that…..there is still a lot of junk and incompetence lying at this club and until that is not cleared we can forget about retaining the EPL title let alone winning the UCL….
to afro:i totally disagree… portsmouth played well…chelsea didn’t play their best but still deserved the win.chelsea could have been 5-0 or even more…chelsea totally deserved the league and fa double…nt becuz of man u but becuz of chelsea’s hardwork, determination and true champion mentality…
Quoting afro
it wasnt shabby did u see first half we hit cross bar 5 times we could have won 4-0 atleast and chelsea deserved to win and remember we played half of season without essien and still won where would united would have had rooney not played 2-3 months i think 4th
we deserve to be champs nothing else u should celebrate now we won agaist all rivals with only 1 goal conceded
What a fantastic season. The Double, The Golden Boot, The Golden Glove, Most ever scored goals in an EPL season and Ashley Cole the first ever player to have won 6 FA Cups and a double Double. I’m sure I have forgotten something, please remind me.
With that a new personal record for none other than our leader, BC. Seven posts in one week. A resounding average of one post/day. Congratulations, and hope you keep the momentum for the next season and ofcourse with some transfer updates in between. For now, its ‘Denver’ time, lets look for various ins and outs linked with Chelsea with our very own technical expert or scouts guide.

Guys,
I think it is the beer/wine/whiskey effect because we have all forgotten to say a word about our new kit…i just love it, especially in comparison to our 2009-10 season kit! But 2009-10 had done us marvelous things….i am chewing lots of gums now!!!
One of the most entertaining seasons ended with our success…. ??????!!!!!!
I know it is too early to step out of the celebration and ask about season 2010-11, but i wanted to share this knowledge badly:
My enquiry was:
Next season against whom should we be playing the Community Shield since we have won both the EPL and the FA Cup?
http://www.wikipedia.com:
If a team wins The Double (both the Premier League and the FA Cup), then the Double winner plays the Premier League runner-up.
So bring manure early on! I LOVE IT!!!
This Injury news to Ballack just makes me realize with more certainty what a useless player Kevin-Prince Boateng really is. Not only did he use one of the most impotent techniques to try and score a penalty [Not that I'm complaining much] but he also rid Germany off one of the country’s most talented and influential players. The World Cup will surely miss him ! There goes any hope that Germany had of winning the trophy.
In other news, did anyone see the Chelsea Parade ? Was extremely glad to see the Chelsea boys happy and jovial, even King Carlo had an opportunity to sing to the crowd ! I did not even realize how much women’s undergarments suit Didier Drogba
[If you saw it, you'll know what I mean!]
Good way to end the season !

I wanted the opinion of you guys on a certain topic.
I am a big admirer of Yaya Toure, and he hasnt played much this season in barcelona and there is this rumour that he might want to leave camp nou.
Yaya Toure could fit in well as a defensive midfielder in our team, ithink. He strong, quick, good dribbler and good passer. do u think chelsea should make a bid?
I would love to see him at chelsea next season

Jose Bosingwa, Nicolas Anelka, Ricardo Carvalho, Deco, Salomon Kalou and Paulo Ferreira.
3 players out of this as replacement is a joke.
.
If they say Carvalho,Deco and Ferreira then it should be okay but even if one of the other 3(Bosingwa,Nico,Kalou) is part of the deal then I am not game for it.
And anyways 40 M is too much for injury prone player like Torres.
Best deal for us is definitely Aguero …I just cant believe Roman is so much interested in Torres to bid for him with such ridiculouly high amount.

Why wast money on KAKA… he wont peak anytime soon. and how can you even wish Anelka away? I mean he is probably the best ball player in the EPL. Aguero is nice but if I could pick I would take pato, he would be cheaper (I think) and he is much bigger and that would make his transition to the EPL easier. BUT really I dont see us buying lots of ppl.
Is it me or are we all so damn eager to see what Kakuta will do on the next stage. he surely have to get involved more next year. I hope we get one or two good young signings and getting Jose and Essien back will seem like a new signing.
@Kuhulai
Nice to see you back. Always looked forward to your inputs.
I think Kakuta will have to wait, he hasn’t really been that great an influence in the reserve team. Matic has proven himself and is on another level to his reserve mates. The player we should be looking forward to is Stoch, the Dutch league medal along with stats reading 10 goals and 9 assists are impressive. Ajax are already looking to buy him out. Leaving him on another loan year at Twente could backfire, he might get used to the Dutch league and starting games. A luxury he cannot afford at Chelsea.
I don’t think we should sign Torres unless the fee is any less than 30m. He doesn’t fit into the system along with Drogba. We play with one targetman and a floating striker. Torres has long been playing for liverpool as a targetman and he doesn’t like playing second fiddle to anyone nor as a winger. Secondly, a player who has better physio friends than teammates doesn’t justify an amount > 35m.
I believe buying a creative Midfielder should be the highest priority. If Lamps gets injured, he would leave a big void to be filled. Anyone in the mould of Modric (Unlikely, considering Spurs CL qualification) would be great. Where is Denver when you need him the most?
If we can spend so much on Torres, it is much more wise and better to spend a little more (even if we have to) on Aguero! Torres had self-acclaimed that EPL is too tough for him…we don’t need this beautiful player who is too expensive. Here is my shopping list (need only 3 players):
1. Kasper Schmeical;
2. Aguero/Di Maria/Hamsik; and
3. Higuan/Dzagoev.
I would fancy a swap deal of Mikel with Yaya Toure!
Quoting Karma CW
Aguero will be a good buy but at the right price not 50m diego from juventus and swangstiger joe cole wan if to replace belleti, ferrera deco and joe cole wants to stay price
I think deco, ferera out and belleti who is out of contract. Joe cole can leave if he wants. We do not need an injuiry prone player at a 120k a week player that will play 15 matches in a season. I think it is time chelsea draw a line cos these players hold the club to ransom… That is what lampard did last summer although lampard helps the club but joe spends half of his season on the treatment table like Robben, we need quality signings…. I will say swangstiger, diego,Aguero . Carlo said diego was a good signing for juventus last summer and he his creative… Yaya toure for Mikel will be a good signing for chelsea cos that Mikel guy is not improving,I am a Nigerian but just don’t like that bloke hope he improves next season keep the blue flag flying
My out list:
Deco, Ferreira, Belletti, Ballack, Joey (if he wants to), Kalou (if we can get Di Maria), Hilario (if we get Kasper), and Nico (if he wants to).
Call me crazy or whatever, but I think we should cash on a big name like Anelka , DD or A. Cole. This is the chance of us to sell some to the sheikh and get some profit. I am looking forward to talent like stoch, borini, matic , van anholt etc for next season. Selling one of Anelka,DD with kalou and buying a young striker like pato is the best move.
Anelka in a swap deal with Aguero or Pato?
Kalou to Arsenal for some cash?
Cole to RM for mega cash?
Essien to Barca for mega cash?
hehe how would you like that.

first off guys, i have been behind the scene reading yours post, i love them I have much to say, but i have been busy with work, so with my few minutes ….
Quoting chelsito
illl try to do it in point form:
- Modric wont happen….. he is doing well at spurs… plus they have CL now.
- Torres the guy is good but he is injury prone, cost would be through the roof, a little issue of him playing for pool (not that big a deal.. but its there).
- remember the youth will be given chances this season.
- stoch I cant really say.. we might just sell him.
- Rajcovic we might just sell him.
- people have been suggesting Yaya Toure… I rate him.. dont think we are looking at him… he is much more skilled than mikel.- please note we would have to sell mikel to make space
- Matic I want see how he develops.
- Kaka im not for players who have been rejecting chelsea… just in the same was i said give up on Ronaldino…
- my vison is to bring up unknow stars… instead of buy talent/developing stars mixed with or own… and getting robbed.
INS: (you know my views)
i would like to see Bastian, Gonzalo Higuaín – both feet (a stronger alternative to Torres- please note if Torres is around 30 mil… we could look into it), Podolski – incase Higuain deal does not work out (watch the world cup guys), Aguero( turn him into a right sided attacker-like a robben). Guarin (Porto).
we need a keeper, and a defender – Subotic!
the thing is we dont want to mess too much the team chemistry, because they have a fromula going.. we just want to strengthen it.
my idea is to have a few formations to rotate, depending on the competition a certain team is used, however a core is maintain especially for the EPL and CL, but for the FA cup and the especially the CC (young players).
alot of things depend on who goes and the direction carlo wants to go… so when we start to see which players are leaving… we can have a better idea whats up, Joe cole.. i dont see him in anyone’s plans….
key areas for reinforcement: defenders, Mid field, Strikers (i guess all departments) this is the season to integrate a player to replace drogba
remember yuri is a left sided player.. and will need to get games to remain happy… i wouldnt want to upset him!
please note Gonzalo Higuaín can also play wide as a winger.
the key signing for me would be Bastian

I don’t agree with you on Ashley Cole and Essien (these two are irreplaceables)!
Quoting Karma CW
Thats the point here, buddy. There are two ways of strategy, 1. short term success 2. long term stability. When Roman freshly took over the club, then everyone has only one thing in mind. Short term success and we bloody hell achieved it!! We are not debating if its good or bad. We wanted it and we got it. There are many teams like real madrid, manchester city who also wanted the same and did not get it. Thats why we are successfull. If ppl come and say we brough the championship, give a shit to them and say that there are many teams and billionairs around that cannot buy the championship.
Now coming to the present day, the focus is on long term stability. If one say someone is irreplacable, then ideally its bad tactics, management and vision. But there are exceptions. Terry, Lampard etc . The problem with us is that the exceptions are more than rules. In a ideal time i would say atmost 2 or 3 needs to be irreplacable. For us, DD, Terry, Lampard,Essien,A Cole, Malouda, Ivano (?) some time back you would say Mikel, Carvalho and bosingwa. Who thought that Ivano can be a super hero in place of bosingwa? Same with Alex. I think we shold sell one in Lampard , Terry , Essien,A.Cole because of pure business reasons. They bring in mega cash and can provide the much needed long term stability. If you sell belleti, deco, ferreira etc how good is that from a business view?
Enough of business, anyway lets look at the replacements. I think the absence of Essien is easily covered this season? Matic is there in the stands . Then how badly you need Essien next season. Think about the unthinkable? Do you really need Terry ,
oops ( he is my avatar he he and the icon). But think, do you really need? How about Lamps as captain?
Are you getting crazy, aint you. realx kid!!
oH mY bLUE,
I agree with you but right now i think getting into “business” is not at the forefront, especially after the generous Abramovich made us self sufficient. But on the other side if we can cash in on some mega players, then we can indeed be able to spend on promising talents than to hold onto the ageing ones. But i think “stability” can be assured by keeping hold onto the great (not irreplaceable) players like Terry, Lampsy, Drogs, Essien and Ashley Cole. It will also confirm continuity at teh club because we still have the money to buy new talents, young talents without having to sell big names. And bringing in young talents would be a good way as they can be the understudy from our super players.
Moreover we don’t need many new faces except three (1. Kasper Schmeical; 2. Aguero/Di Maria/Hamsik; and 3. Higuan/Dzagoev) because we have promising talents in our academy. Aanholt can be a perfect understudy to Ashley Cole like Matic can be to Essien. But i get your point that these super players can fetch mega cash right now (while they might be almost worthless in a couple of years) which we can spend on buying younger but equally competitive players. But it would be better to keep these players and have fruitful seasons with them than to sell them and buy new talents who may not necessarily fetch success. i am not resisting to change but i feel comfortable by holding onto the talents we have known than to sell them and buy talents which may not work or promise success. Take the following scenarios (i took Ashley and Essien as examples since we are discussing on them):
A.
We sell Ashely for a mega cash…..Zhirkov is the first choice at left back……Aanholt covers him whenever necessary. Similary, we let Essien go and we are very rich…….Mikel takes on the Maka role……..Matic covers him whenever situations demanded!
B.
We keep Ashley……..Zhirkov is sold for a pretty good sum…….Aanholt is Ashley’s understudy and covers him whenever needed to.
In the similar way, Mikel leaves us and fetches a good price……Matic learns from and covers Essien.
Without a doubt, i would go for the case B because:
1. We don’t need too much money to buy few players;
2. We have seen all Ashley, Essien, Zhirkov and Mikel play and the first two have been greater players by miles apart than the later two in their respective positions. So, we retain quality and also ensure that understudies like Aanholt and Matic learn from exceptional players than from great players!
About buying and selling, it wouldn’t do us much good economically by selling Ballack, Deco, Ferreira, Belletti, Hilario and may be Kalou as well but all these small businesses joined together can fetch enough money to buy either Aguero or Dzagoev! Selling them at a lower price would be better than keeping them (their handsome wage). And for another two players, Roman Abramovich would be more than happy to splash his fortune.
And don’t forget our own Kakuta, Stoch, Sinclair, Cork, Bruma, Mancienne, Di Santo, etc.
I am not going crazy, i am the cool cucumber because i love to discuss and learn and widen my view. Thank you.
@Denver
Bastian as a creative midfielder, I doubt it. Isn’t there any better option?
That said, its the same me, who was skeptic on your suggestions of an out of favour Sneijder at Madrid and the injury prone welsh, Bale
@oH mY bLUE (i lIKE yOUR sTYLE)
I am not surprised by your suggestions, considering your reverse thinking style. But this is no bankrupt Liverpool or Portsmouth we are talking about, ain’t we? With Roman again looking to open his cheque book, I don’t see any reasons to sell good players to fund the purchase of ‘possible greats’. So I would go with Karma’s non-existent option ‘C’ : Keep all players except Deco, Ferreira, Belletti, Hilario.

chelsito,
Plan C would be to keep Essien and Ashley as first choices, Mikel and Zhirkov and second and Matic and Aanholt and understudies.
Plan D: Sell Mikel and Zhirkov…..if in case Essien and Ashley needs to be substituted and if Matic and Aanhold under-performs, we have dynamic players like Lampard and Ivanovic who can cover these positions. I am talking solely based on the current squad.
BC,
Photo caption: class and modesty.
I hope carlo buys soon, before all the top players are bought…..
Quoting Karma CW
Plan C is always the safest. We seem never to get out of Plan C and do a Plan A,B or Plan D. This is all to acheive self suffiency and to have academy talent getting promoted. Anyway, these are various options, and If I am the manager I would defenitely go for plan D atleast if not plan A.
Looking at the way Farcelona is going for players like Villa and Fibreglass, I think irrespective of the plans, we need to go for a marquee signing this summer. I hope it happens before world cup and for me the ideal replacements are young stars like pato, aguero etc. We shall also like to add a backup for Lampsy. Milner is a good choice (onlyl if Aston Villa lets him go). Torres is a good signing, but can burden the finance and a little ego problems would come up as well between the strikers. Benzema has been down this season and can come cheaper. I would not think twice to sigin Benzema.
If the above players come out of the sellings that we do, i would be delighted. if we ask roman to open his stash again for these kind of players, i would just be happy. But as some one said, we are not in grave situation like loserfool or manure, so we may look at roman for one more season.
oH mY bLUE,
We are almost sure whose backs we want to see soon but about the new signings, these are my choices:
1. I prefer Aguero over Pato and wouldn’t mind spending as much or more than what we would on Torres!
2. Higuan would be great if Aguero doesn’t come; so will be Dzagoev.
3. Benzema can come cheap and i am sure he will deliver but if we get Aguero, we need no one!
4. Milner is great but Villa might keep him at any cost (mancs were denied for 20 million pounds). So we can go for Hamsik or Christian Eriksen (Danish).
5. And a goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeical or Manuel Neuer (German).
I wouldn’t mind paying big on the above names (all are young) and any other similar signings would be good unless we pay over the head on someone who is 28 plus (barks on Villa).
What i don’t want to happen:
1. Torres (fragile and very expensive).
2. Ribery (too expensive although i would fancy Malouda, Nico and Frack connection (FCUK) upfront). Moreover Joey is doing well (Gerrad tagged him alongside Ronaldinho and Messi).
3. Kaka (28 while he would cost as much as Aguero or Higuan if not more).
About Villa and Fibreglass going to barks: barks is becoming a Spanish team, not a club!
Young talents like Yoann Gourcuff, Luis Suarez, Alexis Sanchez, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria and Marek Hamsik are on the list of many top European clubs meaning they would be costly. So we can evade them and go on the following that are equally talented but not as popular on the shopping list (meaning lesser price):
Christian Eriksen (Danish, attacking midfielder)
Or
Toni Kroos (German, attacking midfielder), as an understudy to Lampsy
Eljero Elia (Dutch, winger cum striker), if Joey leaves!
And we must get these boys before the world cup which means we get them cheaper but we risk their injury in SA, but worth the risk (and money).
Dear Blues, The news that Barcelona have just signed David Villa from Valencia has just given me a little scare. I completely agree with Denver. Look at the team Barcelona want to assemble for next season ! Despite the fact that they won the La Liga again, they were clearly disappointed that they missed out on the Champions League and had no trouble in splashing the cash to ensure that they put up a stronger fight next season with the acquisition of Villa !
I just wanted to compare our current team with what looks like Barcelona’s team:
———————-Cech———————- ————————-Valdes—————————
-Ivanovic——–JT——–Alex——-A.Cole– –D.Alves——–Puyol———Pique———Maxwell–
——————-Essien———————— ————————–Busquets————————
—Kalou———Lampard————Malouda- ———Iniesta————————-Xavi————–
————-Drogba———-Anelka———— —Messi————–Villa—————–Pedro———
GoalKeepers:
I would definitely rate Cech a country mile above Valdes so we have no problem there.
Defenders:
Ivanovic is slightly better than Alves in that he knows his defensive duties unlike the Brazilian but is not as fast unfortunately. JT/Alex for me make a better partnership than Puyol/Pique although Pique is brilliant with his long balls and attacking. A.Cole is the world’s best left-back. Enough said.
Midfielders:
Essien > That lying cheat Busquets. Without a doubt.
Lampard may not have the passes of Xavi but surely scores more goals than some of Barcelona strikers ! [Ibra +Henry]
Malouda can be our midfield Maestro just like what Iniesta is to the Barcelona midfield. Kalou sparkles at times but really, is the weak-point you would say.
Strikers:
This is where we need to improve. Drogba on his day is the deadliest striker in the world and I know this. But he’s getting older and Anelka is not as potent as him. On the other hand, Barcelona have the greatest striker in Spain, the greatest player in the world and Pedro [lol] in their attack ! We need to fix this area soon !
Possible Buys for Us: With need for quality strikers, I guess we should go for Pato/Aguero and look no further than Dan Sturridge to deliver the goods !

Awesome analysis…and Kalou problem would be solved by Joey! And a striker (which we will surely buy) would pair Drogba up front! Never forget that we missed Essien in CL matches!
how can u want anelka to leave is beyond my imagination he still contributes a lot to this team essien should always stay at chelsea
we need only 2 -3 changes thats all kalou is till good sub
Bruce Buck has confirmed that Carlo wants to bring in atleast 2 new faces, maybe even 3 if the price is right, and he has also confirmed that 2/3 players will be released. The players that i dont mind losing are Deco, Belletti, Hilario, Carvalho and Ferreira, i kno i’ve not included Ballack in the list but i personally beleive Ballack is not the problem in our squad, the problem is playing Ballack and Mikel together as they slow the pace of our game down. Therefore either playing Ballack or Mikel is not a problem and + ze klein geezer (Ballack) is still top quality and has real passion towards Chelsea.
The 2/3 players that are required at Chelsea consist of a Playmaker, a quality Winger and a top notch Striker, people who can fill the Playmaker role consist of Van Der Vaart / Yaya Toure / Dzagoev / Kaka (Risky option but none the less he’s pure quality and can only boost the image of Chelsea worldwide). For Wingers I would like to see Hamsek / Di Maria / David Silva / Ribery (Agian risky option but tricky, agile and creative, just what we lack at times). For Strikers Aguero / Pato / Torres / Higuain (All of them are quality players and any one of them can only make Chelsea more dangerous and a real force in europe. KTBFFH
The Spanish newspaper Marca has placed a rumour that Jose Mourinho will be the manager of Real Madrid next season. cheers!
What is this talk about Barcalona building a ‘dominant’ squad. What do you guys think Real Madrid was doing last season. Buying Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Benzema etc. I would be happy if we could get Fernando Torres in a blue kit. cheers!

GUY BE REALY…. benzema…lol we arenot looking at him sir… the reason madrid want the sell higuain is to give benzema games.
sometimes im wondering if ur just pulling names out of a hat…
Kasper Schmeical or Manuel Neuer … these two names cant be calling in tha same sentence.. neuer in a starter…. he is not looking to wait for a few games…
Lampard and the Blues… you hit the nail on the head bro!!!! (my striker for the future is –HIGUAIN)
for me Joe cole is out…! sube at best and kalou is a super sub….
Jaz ….good point!
afro .. i see you points bro.. the chelsea board can be slow to react i must admit .. but lets see whats up
guys it seems we wen in for YAYA!!!!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1279966/Chelsea-enter-17m-Yaya-Toure-race-fight-Manchester-City-Arsenal-unsettled-Barcelona-star.html
this would be damn good news… he would replace mikel… (i dont hate Mikel….but come on we all know) he is much more skilled…
but let us see guys…
guy i tell you if we buy this man: bastian schweinsteiger half the mf problems are solved, ….. the solved the striker issue (replacement of drog and anelka with youth) the you add a wow factor…. similar to what Barca has done. ….
does anyone know this guy: Diniyar Bilyaletdinov. (everton FC).. i think you should start researching.. ok
heard we want to fight for Milner with city. im not so sure about that
When will all the morons in this community come to terms to realise that chelsea will not bring any marquee player to the bridge…they would have done that (last couple of seasons) already if they really wanted to…
all this crap of players like aguerro, pato, ribery comin to the bridge aint gonna happen……all these players will cost a bomb and honestly roman cannot keep splashing the dosh for the rest of his life……it has to stop somewhere and this is precisely where it stops…those days are over for good and self financed has to be the order of the day…..
Instead of just dreaming of these big name players chelsea shall concentrate on getting rid of players who aint contributing to the cause of the club but are just eating into the wage bill….
deco and beletti are surely leaving the club…..other than that I dunt see anybody else going anywhere cuz there aint gonna be more than two new faces at chelsea and one of that will surely be pirlo……I wouldnt approve of that but sadly thats what ancelotti is gonna do…
Kaka is not past his prime –

denverblue,
I didn’t get you at 64.
I never said we want Benzema as a first choice, all i said was we can get him if we fail to get Aguero or Higuan or even Torres!
I haven’t pulled names from anywhere, i have shared the list only after being assured that they are world class players!
I said Kasper Schmeical or Manuel Neuer, not both…first choice is Kasper and if we can’t get him, Neur would be great (competition to Cech)
Lampard is my God and i don’t get what you mean by nail on the head!
For me Joey is in and Kalou must always be a substitute!
Just enjoy http://www.thechels.tv/2010/05/chelsea-fc-top-10-goals-200910/
You guys seem to be excited about the fact that we might just get Yaya Toure from Barcelona this summer if we bid the correct amount. While I think he is a brilliant CDM, who works very hard game in/game out and has brilliant passing movements, the reason he wants to leave Barca is because he is not getting enough playing time. I doubt that he will be in a better position at Chelsea when Essien is back to full fitness. I mean, with all due respect to Yaya, Essien is much much better in the midfield because of his Bison-like presence, his man-marking and his deadly accuracy from long-range !
denverblue, I agree with you ! We don’t need Aguero or Pato if their clubs demand such a high asking value [ 40 million +]. Higuain, on the other hand, is a goal-poacher, young, and will come at a relatively cheaper price now that Real have a plethora of ”star-players”.
I wouldn’t mind Joey staying but he’s lost pace and that is so important for a winger these days; tricks and flicks won’t get you past the rough-tackling defenders in the Premier League and Europe ! Kalou might not be as much a fan-favourite as Joey, but he’s got pace, skill and has proved that he can be a good super-sub.
KTBFFH !!
Thanks for the link, DB. Simply scintillating stuff. Boring, boring Chelsea indeed

yes Karma CW Neuer would. not the Kasper guy…..
the comment was for Lampard and the Blues…
you see what i do is to copy the person’s names…. to save space… in stead of copying everything that person said…
just that they are players.. chelsea probably are not even looking at….
dont think im against ur ideas…. just that we as fans need to start being more realistic about our suggestions…
some times i really wonder if chelsea has a scouting team…..
but as always good looking out with your stuff!!
Karma CW.. the idea though is not to force cech out.. but to have a very good back up
Øvrebo, you remember the wanker ref from Norway has retired from international reffing. So much celebration in a mere 2 weeks, it’s unbelievable.

I have to admit I haven’t watched much La Liga for a matter of fact. But I think that Jon Obi Mikel is a bit better than Yaya Toure. cheers!

I think u are entitled to ur opinion… But I will prefer Yaya toure in central mid field in place of mikel… I hope we buy soon. It seems chelseafc does not have enough to spend this time, carlo has not bought dince arriving at cfc he should be given money to compete for players
I think we should go for Milner – He is young, can play at right and center of midfield, english, premiership experience, very hardworking and cheaper compared to the stars we are chasing.
N’Zogbia also is an good option.
Torres would be a gr8 addition, but then any superstar forward coming in will have hard time. Drogba has major (and has exibited on pitch) attitude problem and can be sometimes very difficult to work with, like Sheva (and Anelka in beginning) figured out. Having said that, I believe, Drogba has still two good seasons and on his day, he is as good as any one around.
I am just praying that we keep hold A.Cole, Ivanovic, Zirkov and Bose. Full backs are very integral part of Ancelloti’s system and they were the reason we scored so many goals this season.
who is ready for the americans to run rampant in south africa?
anyone who hasnt seen this video yet, itll make your day. if nothing else will get you excited for the world cup, this will.

Two week since end of PL, no signings yet …
we could nic in a grab Snijder….
we could nic in a grab Snijder…. if jose goes the madrid..!!
yeah it’s only been two weeks since the end of the season, what did you expect? TFO will come through with his transfers, just be patient. the transfer window IS open until august.

I am suprised I think chelseafc does not hv money to spend without Roman. We need to make big signings not a daniel sturige type player. I hope we buy soon,we should be competing for the best players all the best players are going to the spanish league
Quoting Blue4Life
Agree with you, to some extent. Chelsea should look out to these cheaper & talented players in the EPL. But Milner won’t come for peanuts. Villa has already rejected a 20m bid by city. And N’Zogbia who has had a great season with Wigan (Most no. of dribbles and runs in EPL – 253 – courtesy sky sports) is not for sale according to Martinez plus he is left sided a department overcrowded in Chelsea.
@Churchill
General norm is to sign a player before wcup. Obviously, you don’t want to pay a fortune once the target plays well in wcup. ManUtd have already signed Smalling & Hernandez. That said, our 18m bid for Yaya (Rumours?) has already been turned down.
Oh gosh, I am suffering from Carlo’s ‘fantastic’ fever. In my case ‘already’phobia
