Ross Turnbull Signs For Chelsea!

turnbull

Yippee – we’ve made a signing! I’m absolutely delighted with the free signing of Ross Turnbull! He is a decent young keeper and if he’s coming for free, there is nothing better than that. As I said before, we needed a goalkeeper who is decent and also willing to wait for his first team chances. I think Turnbull fits the bill rather well.

John Terry has responded to the allegations from Makelele. I wrote nothing when that Makelele news broke out because I thought he was trying to sell more copies. Now Terry has refuted that claim and has also added a few more witnesses for his claim. He says that he was the one who along with Lampard and Drogba gave a phone call to Roman at 2am in the early morning to convince him to keep Mourinho. I believe him. In the process, he also reiterated that he has never had a better manager than TSO in his career. So let’s put that to rest.

Meanwhile, City have bid for John Terry. They wouldn’t learn. Would they? Meanwhile, we’re all set to give one back to City. Daniel Sturridge has been out of contract and since he is a 19-year old, Man City have a say on how much they need. News is that Chelsea have taken it to the authorities. In such cases, mostly the decision would favour the player and in this case Daniel must be waiting to move to Chelsea.

There is nothing much happening from Chelsea’s side. There are still rumours that Ancelotti would succeed in persuading Andrea Pirlo to join Chelsea. The Pirlo debate has been dividing the house for sometime, which makes it a perfect topic for a poll.

Do you want Andrea Pirlo to join Chelsea?

The only player i want from Milan is Pato. Our targets are too expensive.Roman must pay so much for players like Aguire/Pato/Ribery/Ibra.
We dont have Real Madrid Crazy Money. We must buy some great talents. If Roman want to suprise us,He must bring one of those Expensive stars to Chelsea.

Turnbull has signed for chelsea is a normal course of business for Chelsea, so nothing to get excited about, but a signing nevertheless.

From the way cech has been keeping for chelsea recently I believe that turnbull has a very good chance of dethroning cech from his position, provided he himself has the potential and proves that he can do that. But honestly I dunt think he has enough quality in him to command a starting position for any premiership club, let alone chelsea fc. And thats precisely the reason why he has decided to come to chelsea to play second fiddle to cech cuz he knows his limitations. You see some things are so evident and self explanatory that one does not need to elaborate it any further….

Now as per the terms of his contract, ancelotti is to resume work on July 1 but he still on vacation and so are his players and would resume work only on this cuming monday……this lethargic attitude would concern any football supporter (only a true one)…..there seems no seriousity about this at all….I mean I know its just a matter of a few days but it is not about days over here but it all about the attitude of the person…..Its all about being principled in life and if you are not principled then your life is a waste…..

On the contrary he should be resuming his services on July 1st itself and should have instructed his squad and his staff to make themselves available on those dates……it wiould only help him quickly assess his players, have a look at them, see who he wants and who he wants to see exit the club….strike a smooth communicative language with terry and all other players…….also coming back quicker would have enabled him work on his transfers quickly enough and ensure that he gets all his transfers in time (or as quickly as possible) before they leave for the pre season tour to the US….these things will ensure that the new players get an opportunity to play in pre season which would enable him to see if they gel together and what is the best 11 that he has as his disposal. But Mr ancelotti thinks otherwise.

The only thing that Mr. scholari did right was the statement that he made just a few days back, which was that ” chelsea fc is a fc where the players have more authority than the head coach and it is they who decide what is to be done and what is not to be done”. I just cannot disagree with scholari on this one cuz these statements are so fucking true and reflect the real picture at this club and I have this feeling that things will remain the same under ancelotti as wellll.

This is one of the reasons why chelsea fc will always be chelsea fc and will never become a great club like manchester fc cuz at the grassroot level it is a just a wealthy club with bad elements and spoilt brats (around it) and with no vision and no idea about which direction it wants to go in….

I think Pirlo is just to old he is a bit like Beckem he can cross and take free kicks well, but hardly any stamina.
Chelsea’s new kits suck look at Cech’s!!!!!!

4. KarmaCW - 3rd Jul

Welcoming Turnbull but i want to close the door to Pirlo!!!

5. kuhulai - 3rd Jul

I hope Mr Ross get to play a few games and that way pushes cech to the limit and make him be on his toes. and I hope he gets to play in the coca cola cup to rest cech. All in all I good signing but to be honest I know not a damn thing about him. hopefully will be superbly.

BC, I wasn’t able to vote Yes/No on weather pirlo should come or not. dunno why. anyway I don’t want him to come but even if he did he is way better then deco. and he would fit our team better then deco did. Deco is arrogant n lazy. Only way he can be effective is when everything goes through him in offense. and the problem wit that is lamps and the likes get clueless on what to do. plus he was to weak in the long run. N ways I think Pirlo would do so much better then Deco, having said that I hope we can leave him in Milan and if we are gonna get a midfielder, lets try for a younger version of pirlo or the likes. Am still mad we never signed Yoann Gourcuf. I don’t know if we even were interested in him but he should have. he got crazy talent.

Good Buy! Bring in the rest. We need a striker and a more creative midfielder, they both must be young. Go Chelsea

Signing No.2 Daniel Sturridge

10. Jaz - 3rd Jul

Turnbull has solved the GK dilemma and with Sturridge and Zhrikov deals almost done we are half way there in strenghtning the squad already. In my theory all we need is 2/3 more players a Midfeilder(s), Winger and a Striker(s). I want Chelsea to raid Madrid and take some their star players, which are being treated as second class at the moment, either VDV / Sneijder / Dzageov / Ben Arfa / Young would be brilliant addition to the midfeild and either Huntelaar or Pato would be superb for Chelsea and if we can get Aguero for a decent price then even better. Hopefully we will make some sensible singnings and not spend millions on waste of time and past their prime players!!

STURRIDGE SIGNS

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to confirm that Daniel Sturridge has agreed to join the club on a four-year contract.

He will join the first team squad for pre-season training next week when the players return from their summer break.

The 19-year-old previously played for Manchester City, where he first burst onto the first team scene in the 2007/08 season, scoring twice in four days in January for Sven Goran Eriksson’s side, including an important equaliser at Derby County to earn a point.

Within months he was well known among Chelsea supporters, scoring City’s goal in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup Final, a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Absent through injury from the second leg, Daniel saw his team-mates eventually defeat us 3-1 on the night to take the trophy.

A nephew of former Derby forward Dean Sturridge, Daniel arrived at City’s Academy in 2003 from Coventry, having previously trained with Aston Villa.

He graduated to the senior squad at the beginning of the 2006/07 season and after injuries hampered his speedy progress, a hat-trick in the reserves prompted a debut in February 2007 as a late substitute.

Last season he was a more regular fixture in and around Mark Hughes’s squad, netting four times in 26 appearances, 10 of which were starts, and was voted City’s Young Player of the Year.

Daniel has also represented England up to Under 20 level, where he has played alongside our own Ryan Bertrand, Jack Cork and Scott Sinclair.

Good on the Ross Turnbull signing, a young english player is a good move by carlo
I’m ecstatic over the signing of Daniel Sturridge.
I’m a big fan of James Milner, Ashley Young, Daniel Sturridge, Micah Richards, Michael Johnson, Jack Rodwell and Joe hart. They will be key to England in future years so it is good to know that Chelsea will be able to brag contributing a good striker to the England squad come euro 2012

On the whole Andrea Pirlo saga, Im not against his signing
Okay, hes getting on, he’s aged, he is slow, he is not as strong as our players but wasn’t Makelele? When we needed him, he was there time and again, Id say no to gattuso but Pirlo, he can offer another deadball specialist, another captain, experience, maturity. He gives us an extra option in midfield, I think signing him AND sessegnon would be brilliant

I’ve come to decide I do not want Ribery playing for us, talentwise he was the best option but he was never my preferred one, I think Ribery has shown alot of disrespect, unprofessionalism and greed lately and I am not happy to see any more of that at Stamford Bridge.

If we can secure Yuri Zhirkov and Sessegnon, Ashley Young is the missing piece

13. IwasMissingJose - 3rd Jul

I am really happy that Chelsea has signed someone who can compete with Peter. Good signing, and Turnbull “welcome to chelsea”.

With Di santo looking for Blackburn loan move, signing Sturridge is a good move. They both have potential to replace DD and Anelka when they retire. So another good investment Carlo. My double thumbsups to you.

the most wonderful thing is that we got them both on free transfer. So applause to Kenyon!

I am absolutely delighted. Now all we need is a winger zhirkov and we should be fine. We play as a team, so there is no necessity to sign a phenomenal CAM, unless RA is still going for so called wonderful football. Save money, earn trophies Roman. we all love you. Save money for future. Lets win CL this season with Carlo.

14. nikhil - 3rd Jul

@ TruePlatinum

You are right dude . Let Ribery go to Real Madrid . One doubt can A.Young play on right?? cause we anyway have malouda – joe cole when he is present and zhirkov when he signs up for us who can play on left . Dont we need a right winger/striker . Actually as many pointed out Robinho was the missing link and he would have solved most of our problems .

And getting VDV or Sneijdar for good prices may help us. Cause we know Real want to offload them we can bargain and get good prices .
Pirlo might be a good asset depending on how CA uses him . problem with scolari was he made all players to run around pass beautifully and try playing the samba way .
the thing that GH changed was that he made players play what they knew the best . Ballack was told to just stay put in midfield and outside d and supply which he does best – lampard given freedom to roam, and whenever in doubt whenever you want goal just put the darn long ball to drogba and he ll do the rest .
thats wat changed the season . so as long as CA lets players play to their abilities i dont think we can be beaten

15. Zaneeb - 3rd Jul

I would love to see pirlo in the Chelsea shirt for the following reasons..
(if we can get him for not more than12mp..)
1-let Ballack fight for his place(Ballack wasnt that good)
2-he is not gonna be a lazy player as deco
3-he can give us an extra dimension in midfield
4- his accuracy is deadly
5-Mikel,Essien will be going to anc
well he is 30..but you know another italian called some gianfranco

Chelsea formation for next season:

cech/turnbull

—–bosingwa/ferriera —– alex/ivanovic —– terry/mancienne —– cole/zhirkov—–

—–mikel/essien—–

—–cole/kalou—– —–lampard/ballack/pirlo—– —–malouda/zhirkov

—–pato/sturridge—– —–anelka/drogba—–

17. cfc - 3rd Jul

Guys – but the price for Pirlo is 20 Million.. that is what is driving me crazy.. even if deco was flop his cost was only 8 million..

18. cfc - 3rd Jul

BTW, fergie has signed michael owen . interesting signing ..

19. TruePlatinum - 3rd Jul

Nikhil
Ashley Young is right footed, and would do well on the right, he used to play there before villa signed james milner
what we truly need is a two footed winger
kalou is not a true winger, joe cole does not want to be on the wing all the time and he isnt that quick, malouda is not beating defenders like we need him to, zhirkov may be constratined to leftback, what if ashley cole breaks a leg? Then we would be in trouble so yes, I think a winger is necessary
and you are right, although Real can seemingly afford it, their players won’t all be happy to play second fiddle so wesley sneijder would be my choice if I wanted to take someone from madrid

Im sure we’d get Pirlo for less than 20million. And lastly michael owen to man utd
you guys remember how much we get slated day in day out, our team is too old (somehow a young player will instantly bring success), we are boring, our players are rubbish, we give nothing to england. Man utd has 2 players that start for england, chelsea has 3, man utd have no young englishmen, chelsea now has alot
today we have made alot of ground, man utd signing owen and us signing STURRIDGE and turnbull is saying alot

Ashely cole rejects Chelsea new offer..

Heard about it, but the Sun are the only source reporting this, therefore I’m gonna dismiss this as bullshit until I hear this from a legitimate news source.

22. Zaneeb - 3rd Jul

Well ..ashley s proposed contract only worth 70k a week..(it is said that zhirkov will be given 80k a week)i think thats too low for ashley as he is the best left back in the world..if we will give him a 100k iam sure he will sign…

24. kris - 3rd Jul

lahm is the best left-back….we want to buy him…

25. IwasMissingJose - 3rd Jul

we are going for Dzeko. he would be a good add, but guys now we already have dd, anelka, kalou, sturridge, di Santo and adding one more means SIX strikers !!! not bad for long long seasons we usually have. but Is it going to keep our players happy is completely another question.

26. kuhulai - 3rd Jul

The club would be nuts to let JT go to man city and even so Ashley. JT is the last person I expect to leave us. Ashley, well I do understand that he wants to be played wit the best of em in the team. You can think what ever u want about him, but he is one of the best in the world in his position and he was one of our best player last season. I know Ballack came in as a free agent, but damn he earns more then most of the lads in the team. I can think of a couple of players who should be get equal wages.

27. heyjose - 3rd Jul

no way jt will leave blues

28. blueboy - 3rd Jul

Amidst all these transfer rumours, gossips and lack of transfer success on Chelsea FC’s part, I would like to moot a point here regarding CFC’s buying policy and officials involved in it.
I would like to remind all CFC fans that Ribery and Pato, two players we are seeking most, were also on our radar when they switched their clubs last time. Pato could had been easily grabbed with 20 odd millions…Munich bought Ribery with 23 millions. Today we are ready to offer around 50-60 millions for each. I just can’t understand what were out transfer officials doing at that time. These were not one of those players who have great potential but have great risk factors. These two had greatness written all over them. Ribery has always been tailor made for EPL. Pato was destined for big things. We let them go, then they do big things and then we are ready to cough out double or even triple the. In fact we were also in for Torres and I have no doubt we could have got him with 30m.
Is there something wrong with our transfer officials or they are just incompetent?Who could allow Ribery to go when he was ‘cheaply’ available.

29. BlueChampion - 3rd Jul

Guys! The poll problem has been fixed. Go ahead and decide Pirlo’s fate :-)

30. DanaBlue - 3rd Jul

Man C is not letting go easy as to JT. So its crunch time JT, are you Mr Chelsea or are you yet another Mr MoreMoney? Makaleles book has made me questioning some of JT’s motives at times. I hope I’m seriously proven wrong as I would love to believe JT will become an OAP at Chelsea.

31. jabi - 3rd Jul

what if whole thing with makelele’s talk and Terry was set up to make Terry go to Chelsea. Well this kinda sounds fantastic. But still i’ll share with my thoughts..

32. jabi - 3rd Jul

lol, i mean Terry to go to MC.

33. CFCIR - 3rd Jul

John will be always our Captain. He will deny every Bids for him.He wants to be a legend of Chelsea. Its is too late for him to start a new Carer at new team .He is a smart lad.
I always enjoy young signings .They will be chelsea Energy. It to sad that we couldnt buy Arshavin when he was at Zenit. We missed him because of that fucking Brizilian Fat twat.Chelsea must sign some Mid players. We need some younger mid players. We need a Future player for Lampard/Ballack.We must do it from now.

34. True Blue in L.A. - 3rd Jul

Milan would not big higher than 23m for Dzeko, and Chelsea have their opening bid at 23m. Wolfsburg rate him at 30m, so maybe we can agree on a fee around 27m or so. Dzeko is unhappy because he wanted a move to Milan.. but money talks, Dzeko was making about 600k a year so we show him the money and I think it’s likely he’ll agree to the switch.

Ballack signed an extension plus even though Alonso is a good player there is no way in hell they (fools) would sell him to us. plus we already have Mikel essien whom I rate very hightly. Wat we need is a creative midfielder a la Gourcuf. hopefully we can snatch sneijder from real.
