Not sure how many of you got to see the ‘message to the supporters’ from John Terry. It’s a couple of weeks late but it’s still relevant. So here it is:
Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you once again to every single one of you for your support this season. Each of us in the dressing room and behind the scenes fully appreciates the lengths you go to all year round to support the team, whether it be at the Bridge, or at away games around the country and in Europe. I would also like to say a special thank you to Guus Hiddink, who has been just brilliant since he arrived here in February. He came at a difficult time when things looked like they were slipping away from us, so to lead us to an FA Cup Final and within a whisker of the Champions League Final, is a great achievement.
That said, third place in the league isn’t good enough for Chelsea anymore. It’s our worst finish since Mr Abramovich bought the club and we all know we need to do better. It is fantastic to win the FA Cup but we want more and that’s the way it needs to be for us these days. We will all enjoy the time we have off now and come back for pre-season as determined as ever and of course looking forward to achieving great things with the new manager Carlo Ancelotti. This year we are off to America for four games in the summer, and we’ll be hoping to see some big crowds against an impressive line-up of opposition. Enjoy your summer and see you next season.
It’s interesting to see that JT says third place is not good enough and it’s worst we’ve finished under Roman.
Surprisingly, still no transfer action at Chelsea. No one’s come in and no one’ gone out. You hear that Roman has bought the most expensive yacht (£300m or something) in the world. Things must now be better for Roman who was rumoured to sell Chelsea to buy a yacht. He was seen bidding world record amounts for Kaka sometime earlier and I just hope he did not dump the Chelsea transfers in the sea.
With Real Madrid in a rampant mood, as always, off the pitch, they tempt evey football player. Lots of pluses playing for Real Madrid. They are the biggest club in the world. Their record is unparalleled. You get to play in sunny spain. You’re in the Spanish capital. You get to play in the team where Kaka and Ronaldo play. You’ll get all the money you want and more, unless you’re name is Robinho. Players like Ribery and Villa are all just probably waiting for a call from them. Who wants to play for Chelsea FC when Real is calling?
In a way, I’m happy that Real is spending big bucks. Last season, we saw from Man City and Tottenham that money spent has little to do with where you end up on the table. Let Madrid spend £200 million in this summer alone. I’m still waiting for more poisonous comments on how they are killing football with their money. If Man City took the limelight off Chelsea last season, Real Madrid has wiped us off the bad boys map. Good for us.
We should forget these 5-star targets whom the Madrids, Barcas and Milans are after. Enough of this Kaka, Villa, Ribery nonsense. I’d love to see them here but it appears completely improbable now. There are some good 4-star and 3-star targets. Players like Tevez, Podolski, Schweinsteiger etc. These players are all young enough to be called next generation players for Chelsea. As in, they can stay here for another 4 or 5 seasons. There’s a rumour that Ancelotti called Tevez and offered to take him at Chelsea. I’m a big fan of Carlos Tevez and I’d love to see him in Chelsea colours. Also there is this great Real Madrid sale that seems to offer gems like van der Vaart, Sneijder, Robben, Huntelaar etc.
While I can come up with a wishlist of who I want to see in Chelsea this summer, I’m still not sure what system Ancelotti wants to play. That would be very crucial for our transfer business. If he is going to continue our 4-3-3, we are well off already and a little bit of strengthening would help. If he is going to play his 4-3-2-1 christmas tree, then few of our players would become redundant, say Malouda, Kalou, Di Santo etc. The rumours about Malouda being offered to clubs is worrying. I have always like Malouda and with his resurgence, I simply don’t want to leave him. Also this means we could very well be changing our system for this season. With offers flying from Kaka to Ribery to Tevez to Zhirkov, I just wonder what is that we want to do? What’s the vision that we have in mind?
We don’t have to be Real Madrid. Let’s buy players for football reasons and for football reasons only. Let’s look at what system we want to play. Let’s look at whether we have the right players to play that system. Let’s look at what and who we lack and go for the roles and not for the players. Exactly, we should have roles in mind and find the players that would fit that role. When we bought Shevchenko and Ballack, we went for the players and not for the roles. We should not commit that mistake again.
What are our priorities now?

It would be really nice if we can get Tevez in…he is so hard working and fast!
My choices:
Out: Deco (totally useless), Minero (we wasted money, show him the exit door), Sheva (giving another chance would be wastage of time) Pizarro (Bundesliga is far below EPL), Beletti (not needed and getting older), Fereira (we have better players), Quaresma (i think Malouda and Joey can take care of the flanks), Kalou (not so impressive), Riccy (more likely to leave albeit i would love to see his partnership with our beloved JT)
In: Tevez (to add more depth, he will shine with Lampard’s assists), a left back and a goalkeeper each!
My first 11:
Malouda………….Drogba/Tevez………….Joey
Lampard……………………………………Essien
………………………Mikel………………………..
A Cole…….Terry…….Ivanovic…….Bosingwa
Super Subs: Di Santo, Anelka, Ballack, Alex, Hilario/new goalie
Chelsea needs atleast two young strikers and for this, realy they should go for Aguero and pato or even teves.
Second is the wingers where by since the departure of Robben, nobody has replaced and played like him and
Duff, that is when chelsea used to known as the “Unstopable blues”So we should go for either Ribery or bring
back Robben or the other option and who can play on the flanks and was actually ours had it not been a drama on last
minutes of the previous transfer window, lets get Robinho.
I think we need to forget big named boys for now and concentrate on upcoming stars. Perez is the person getting the playas not da coach. We should offload Deco, Sheva, Minerio, belleti, loan Di santo, and bring playas like Mancienne, Woods, into the first team. Buy Tevez, for ribery, get Zhirkov, aguero, porto’s right back and the Middlesbrough goalie.
I would say Lukas Podolski will do the job as a striker, or even Schweinsteiger as a winger (he likes playing winger although he often plays midfield). As far as I know Bayern is leaving Podolski on the bench every time they have the chance.
The guy has lots of potential, he’s not THAT expensive and can be resuscitated, specially with the support of Ballack.
Plus they have the winning mentality, they are silverware thirsty and that is what it counts!
With Ronaldo at RM, Robben could be on his way out. Unlikely, but a move back to the Bridge where he played some of his best football?? haha. Left fullback to warm the bench for ashley cole and a young striker is all we need. I’m not convinced Anelka can play well under Carlo. He did well for Scolari but looked to have struggled a bit for goals with Guus.
Our debut match is Hull at home…wow, we are going to strip their stripes!
Malouda………….Drogba..………….Tevez
Zhirkov……………Essien………………Lampard
A Cole…….Terry…….Alex…….Bosingwa
………………….Cech…………………..
SUB:Anelka,Di Santo,Mikel,J.Cole,Ivanovic,Hilario..
We are at home to Hull City in the first match. New fixture is out. The first 5 matches are easy i think. We can build up a winning run in the first six matches before facing Liverpool.
I think the team that can seriously leave manure and liverpoo behind next season can be:
Bosingwa……….Alex……….Terry……….A cole
J cole………………Essien……………..Lampard
Tevez……………..Drogba………………Aguero
Out – deco(5M), Carvalho (10M) ,
Out – Sheva +Pizzaro +belleti +Freira+Kalou+Minerio = Roughly 25 – 30M
money made from out going players = Between 35 – 40M
In – tevez+agureo = roughly 70M
total spent = 35 – 40M for tevez and aguero…..hmmmmmm..i think thats pretty dam good looking at the line up and the fact that we would have the most backed up defence..most ruthless and dynamic midfield..and the power or drogs, workrate of tevez and the touch of Kun…ohh..and of course the shot stopper that is cech…wat do you guys think??
@9….i love the line up…joecole can act as the creative midfield chelsea midfield needed…we still got ballack and mikel to occupy the role if joecole cant provide it…tevez and aguero is a must buy…if we get zhirkov and sneijder/vdv that will be gr8…but firstly zhirkov need to be loyal and nt think abt barca
J.Cole doesnt present Chelsea level, as well as Malouda. We should drop both of them, and also Drogba, Deco, Carvalho (that would be sad) and Kalou, as well as of course Beletti, Ferreira + Mineiro, stupid LFS’s transfer.
We would earn some seroius money, which we should spend on young central midfielder (Sessegnon would be great but he will play in Arfrica cup of nations, I also heard some rumours about some russian central midfielder) because Lampsey and Ballack are getting old, than we should go for two really classy strikers – Tevez and Aguero are my primary choices. Wings arent so bad, whether we have Stoch who’s really great in my opinion and also Kakuta? But I didn’t see him.
I don’t think if there is a need of a fullback, maybe some young block from youth team but I don’t know if we would find a good replacement for Bosingwa/Cole there. He should get some chances against poor sides (something which never happened in our club?;)
Defensive is just great, but I think Ancelotti should choose Branko ahead of Alex, than we have Mancienne and few other CBs on loans (Rajkovic anybody?).
We should also buy Hart, a great goalie treated badly by the Sheikhs. Perfect for us (but should play not only if Peter has an injury)
Cheers!
IBRA, VILLA, AGUERO, PATO, RIBBERY – Im just gettin sick and tired of Chelsea being linked with these high profile names, which will cost us £30M+ each atleast. Roman wants to bring one high profile name to the club this season and to some extenst I can understand why, but rather then spending £50-60M and go crazy like Real Madrid why don’t we do the smart business and raid Madrid instead. Believe it or not but we can land ourselves VDV, Sneijder and Huntelaar for £45-50M and lets face it that is one hell of a bargain for these 3 gems. Huntelaar is a goal scoring machine he’s got a jaw dropping goal scoring record and he’s yet to hit his prime as he’s only 26 and we can bag him for £25M rather than spending £45M on Villa. Villa’s now gone on to say he will only play for Benitez in the Premier League, so let him join Liverpool, why waste time and money on someone who doesn’t even want to play for us. VDV & Sneijder can both be bought for £25M and again they are young talented and have years ahead of them for maturing at Chelsea.
I don’t care what people say but one thing is well known about Ancelotti, that his man management his brilliant. Italain League is the most defensive league in the world and yet with a squad full of players aged 30+ he has got the most out of them. If he’s given younger players to work with then, Im sure he can develop them into a brilliant talent for the future (Pato being a good example). Zhrikov was the one player I was sure we will see in a Chelsea shirt next season but now he keeps on going on and on about how he wants to join Barca well I say good for you and go ahead join them, we don’t need players at Chelsea who want to play for a different club. Tevez is another brilliant option we should consider, a work horse, treat him well and he will play his heart out for the club, good eye for goal and already has 3 years of EPL expereince. Players I would like Chelsea to go for are VDV / Sneijder and Tevez / Huntelaar.
I am very happy you guys are taking an interest in Lukas Podolski and Schweinsteiger thy are two players I really love.
But Podolski fell out with Ballack in one of there (Germany’s) matchs.Snijder is also a player I love.I dont care how much they cost (as long they its over 20m).i Also would like VDV / Sneijder and Tevez / Huntelaar at Chalsea.
Malouda…….…….Drogba..……………….Tevez
Schweinsteiger …Essien……..…………Lampard
A Cole…….Terry………..….Alex…….Bosingwa
………………….Cech…………………………………….
.
Cech
Bosingwa Alex Terry A. Cole
J. Cole Essien Lampard
Anelka Drogba Malouda
Subs: Turnbull, Zhirkov, Ivanovic, Mancienne, Mikel, Ballack, Stoch, Kalou, Sturridge, (TEVEZ)
During his interim stint as Chelsea coach, Guus Hiddink put the proverb ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’ into practice. Out of the woodwork came the real Didier Drogba, finally forming that long-awaited on-pitch bond with Nicolas Anelka. Branislav Ivanovic came to the table; Ashley Cole, Alex and Florent Malouda found a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
If new boss Carlo Ancelotti can sustain some of that momentum, add a couple of choice signings and cut the right stragglers loose – as well as get his point across in English – then surely this revitalised outfit won’t need major surgery.
There are more building blocks in place than most realised before the late resurgence at the tail end of the season just ended. Much depends on how much cash will be floating around. Many hot talents have been credited with Chelsea interest on the back pages, thus much depends on the ambition of the club beaks.
IN (3):
Daniel Sturridge (Manchester City): The youngster isn’t going to be a bargain, despite his expiring contract – a £10 million ‘development fee’, or compensation just below that would be necessary. Then factor in his £50,000-a-week wages and he looks like a ‘real’ signing, and not the can’t-lose gamble he appears at first glance. Nevertheless, he’s shown fleetingly at Eastlands that he’s going to become a quality player, with more than enough power and subtlety to succeed in the Chelsea front line.
The other option is, of course, Alexandre Pato, Milan’s outstanding rising star, who could be tempted to follow Ancelotti to west London. The Brazilliant forward would work out four times more expensive but without 400 per cent more chance of success.
In terms of grandstand signings, Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery obviously pops to mind. The current crop perhaps has one more spin in its record, though, and Chelsea could do without a demoralising battle with Europe’s current big spenders, especially when the current squad can easily stay in contention until January, by which time the gaping holes will have been exposed and the chequebooks of Chelsea’s rivals a little more tattered.
Yuri Zhirkov (CSKA Moscow): The left-sided ace would be a popular choice amongst the Blues faithful, and a signal of intent. Again, I don’t know if big money signings are completely merited this summer, yet Zhirkov would be a fine capture if Roman Abramovich and Peter Kenyon wish to make a statement.
Ross Turnbull (Middlesbrough): A genuine challenger to Petr Cech’s jersey he may not be, but the shot-stopper produced good runs of form at the Riverside and is clearly an ambitious character. Stocky and reactive, he’s a completely different ‘keeper to Cech, but that’s probably a good thing.
PROMOTED (2):
Michael Mancienne: Highly rated by many, with others wholly undecided, but that’s to be expected. With only Championship level performances to work with, it remains to be seen whether he’s good enough to make the breakthrough in the Premier League. He’s probably worth the risk, though, as he’s generally composed and can play in several positions: centre-back, right-back and defensive midfield.
Miroslav Stoch: The pint-sized Slovakian striker can play wide right in a front three, or as a second striker. Comfortable with both feet, he’s someone who can’t resist taking on defenders.
OUT (8):
Deco: Got off to a stunning start at Stamford Bridge, but things quickly went south and it looks as though the Portuguese midfielder will be one of the first out of the door. Inter have been linked, thus the only worry for the Blues faithful will be ‘has Jose Mourinho spotted a top-level use for the would-be playmaker that the rest of us have missed?’
Ricardo Carvalho: Is in the same boat as countryman Deco, and – already taking parting shots judging by quotes attributed to him recently – the defender could also soon be rescued by ‘The Special One’. With Alex looking useful and Michael Mancienne waiting in the wings, though, it’ll be best for all concerned to part company.
Claudio Pizarro: Will be ditched if at all possible, but it looks as though Werder Bremen, where he was on loan, can’t afford him.
Paulo Ferreira: We’re not picking on Portugal, honestly, but another who could do with a fresh start is Paulo Ferreira. He signed a new long-term deal in 2008 but has since been hampered by injuries and it’s unlikely that he’ll be able to force himself into Ancelotti’s starting XI.
Andriy Shevchenko: “Oh, hello again,” Ancelotti will say as he sees his accidental Ukrainian striker-cum-stalker walk through the doors. “How do I get rid of you?” Goal.com doesn’t know either, but his wage packet is unsustainable for a fringe man, to say the least.
Juliano Belletti: The attacking full-back, has quality, and has actually been a decent impact player at times. However, he can excel elsewhere and has never really been the right fit for the Blues.
Franco Di Santo: Has been linked with Blackburn Rovers and a new beginning for the young forward would be wise for all concerned.
Scott Sinclair: Is likely to be loaned out one again, his first-team chances remain slim, despite his promise.

Drogba banned for 6 mathces, Bosingwa for 4.Chelsea fined 85000 pounds.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1193710/Drogba-handed-match-ban-Chelsea-fined-berating-ref-Barca-Euro-exit.html
yeah, heard about the bans, does kind of fuel the fire burning on the drogba and bosingwa out pile
i dont understand why guys think we need strikers
we had a better goal difference than man utd who won the title
we conceeded the least goals in the league
drogba’s fitness has been an issue since his operations, if losing him meant gaining ibra, i would be happy
anelka is this season’s top scorer and played alot of matches as a sub or on the wing, so he cant be that bad
dont forget di santo hardly played and we have strikers on loan
priority is a back up left back, when ashley cole was banned, we were screwing as we had no replacement, if bosingwa had that injury during the barca tie, we would of had serious trouble
kalou out and a good winger in
and the team instantly has depth and cutting edge
I expect to hear nothing on transfers until the end of the month when ancelotti officially takes the reins
alot of you guys are getting panicky about the lack of activity, but Im sure Kenyon would of let the relevant players know of Chelsea’s interest and subsequently, none of our targets have moved clubs so whats that saying? That they are staying put until carlo comes in says exactly what he wants
so pirlo, gattuso, pato, zhirkov, ribery, bosingwa, drogba, maicon, ibra, johnson, ashley young, and van der vaart are all players that will stay relatively tight lipped until next month. They will neither say come get me, nor i won’t sign, they will wait
Obviously real have dibbs on anyone in the market, im hoping they do sign clichy because instantly marcelo and drenthe become available
let real finish spending, that way we can assess the state of the team, who we can sign from them and the rest of the market
Bayern’s coach has said he will not stand in the way of ribery leaving, I know zz wants him at real, but I think we do have the leverage as we can offer kalou and bosingwa in exchange
podolski is my favourite up and coming youngster, I think he is 22. Built like a horse, very fast and with a clinical eye, plays on the wing for germany, i think he’d do a good job for us but i doubt a move for him
the first thing a manager does is bring what he can from his old club, so that is pirlo almost guaranteed. the itallians have the best young fowards, lavezzi could be a good buy
but anyway, lets just be patient
We don’t need and want Pirlo…he is old and he doesn’t have a place in our squad!
ancelotti wont see it that way just as scolari didnt when he bought deco
ancelotti wont see it that way just as scolari didnt when he bought deco
Yeah, this is exactly my fear too! And is it true that Ben Sahar has been sold to Espanyol…..just want to wish him goodluck!
replying to karmacw
Thats what running through my mind as well, Scolari forced Deco in when he couldn’t fit into any position he was placed. Pirlo is quite strong though so I could see him and Ballack fighting for that right central midfield spot
It seems Bayern have officially bid for Jose Bosingwa, Bosingwa was purchased for roughly £16million, he should be worth over £20 now
if Bosingwa was to leave, we are losing a very very fast player, he can cross, takes on defenders (not always successfully) can use his left foot acceptably and can finish, in the box and out of it
the problems jose brought, were his defending neglection. He is also not as strong as other defenders, I remember watching Bendthner outmuscle him horribly for the goal in the 4-1 at arsenal
replacements
the name being thrown is glen johnson, i think this is a bad move, glen has excelled because there is not as much need for him to defend at portsmouth as they play with a back line of 5, so he can attack freely, but if he was placed in a regular 4-4-2, i think he would struggle. He has come a long way since being with us but he is not chelsea material. He may be Englands best Rightback, but that means nothing to me as in my opinon, he is the only rightback, but Hargreaves can and would do a much better job for club and country
Maicon seems to be unhappy with Inter for some reason. He is a brazillian so wouldn’t have too much trouble. He is ahead of Dani Alves in the national squad, he is big, very strong and very quick, I haven’t seen lots of him but if we lost Bosingwa, he’d be my ideal replacement
forget everyone else, just get Ribery and a goalkeeper. Thats enough for our transfer season this half-year.
We need a striker, winger, goalkeeper and maybe a midfelder or full back.
I am not thinking of Turnbull as a goalkeeper more Rob Green he is young and good for a sub goalkeeper I don’t understand some of you Cech is THEE BEST GOALKEEPER IN THE UK!!!I hope the message gets into your head.
I think 16 | Jaz is a good formation but can Huntelaar play on the wing.

Hey, where did malouda go? he did not move to italy or spain yet. if malouda is not playing then i feel that its a must to see disanto/stoch and probably joey playing on the left. (he can play).
Replying to Oh My Blue:
I think Chelsea should start a new way of transfer business. Zhirkov said his preferred destination is barcelona. I don´t like such players because they don´t feel chelsea is the best and if we won´t win CL next season they´ll find a reason to leave citing the same reason. I´d love to have players who would think it is possible with Chelsea, so no zhirkov, no Ribery, no “Everyone dreams of Madrid player”, no “Man U/Barca is the best” Player. We just need a Chelsea player who have faith that we can win everything. That means we need our own youths, fuck the stars off (except those who want to dream with chelsea). May be getting Robben back, players like Sturridge and english players is a better than those over inflated players.
And i am not for “Let Real Madrid have all and yet fail badly” group. Let Real madrid beat Barca home and away and everywhere they play together. But if Real should see Chelsea in any competition, i wish we would win heavily against them with our own legends. Then the world would know that likes of Kaka, Ronaldo and Ribery are nothing to what Chelsea has produced. We have been proving that since the Mourinho era, we did it this year against Barca, and we´ll do it again and again the so called “press-made” best teams.
Replying to IwasMissingJose: its not a matter of wishing my brother.. we will kick their galactico ass!! i promise u that!! we are just a damn super power!!! not because the press dont want to recognize.. doesn’t mean its not true!!!
Replying to TruePlatinum: i agree if we loose bosingwa… Macion would be my only replacement, so lets use Ricky and deco plus money to get him.

How abt this?? We need a balance in the team. Above looks like pretty attacking line up but we can always change it to our very own 4-3-3 bringing on Mikel for either Drogba or Tevez or even Joe. I am pretty sure Chelsea are after Ribery. We might not be his first choice but u never know in football there is still a big chance for us to sign him up. The fact that Bayern trying to get Bosingwa may be something to do with the Ribery deal. I dont mind trading Bosingwa plus some cash for Ribery. We can go after Maicon who for me is the best right back in the world.
The bottom line is we need a designated second striker to act as a affective partner with Drogba. The big man is the best in the world with his back to goal and can do well on his own in holding up play, leading the line and keeping defenders at bay. And with a player, in my view there are only three ideal strikers in the world for this in Tevez, Aguero and Pato, we can again stretch the defense with their pace, technique and goal scoring abilities. And if the opposing defense chooses to commit to them, then Drogba can cause a whole leap of damage himself and then become the vocal point of our attacks.
Not to mention we have our midfield maestro in Lampard, making those classic bursting runs through the middle to create yet another option or drag another defender with him, in turn opening up space for attack. As far as Malouda is concerned, he was marvelous with that late spell he had under Hiddink and looked rejuvenated! But in my opinion, Zhirkov is the missing link we need in this squad. A player that can jink in between two to three defenders (and more just in case you didn’t catch his CL goal against Hamburg!) and make additional things happen. He is also a brilliant supplier of the ball and quite literally is a beast in terms of fitness as he himself can patrol the left flank without a LB. Just imagine him and Ashley together… like having two LBs yet at the same time having the ultimate combination being the Zhirkov brings that pinnace to the table.
Lastly, we are in need of a back up keeper for sure. Preferably someone who is ready to hang under the wings of Cech and push him to become yet again, THE BEST KEEPER IN THE WORLD, UNDISPUTEDLY! I know of no options available to us as I don’t really pay attention to keepers all that often.
NO NEED FOr A RIBERY OR 50 mil pound signing unless we are attracting the likes of an Ibrahimovic which obviously would see Drogba leave in my opinion… but instead just three signings are a must.
ZHIRKOV FOR SURE!
A KEEPER
…AND ONE OF EITHER PATO, TEVEZ Or AGUERO
IWasMissingJose
just blew everything out of the water
guys just imagine coming up against the new galacticos team and messing them up with modest, and home grown players, ultimate achievement i think
Denver is right, the media will never respect chelsea, yet if man city suddenly broke into the top 4, they’d say nothing
Although I am all for raising our youth, i like our prospects, they all look promising, I have to be honest, that cutting edge we desperately want will cost us at least £20mil, Ashley Young seems more and more perfect, and we can send kalou the other way to minimise costs
guys im gonna be honest, im getting bad vibes about the drogba situation
Denver
doing some studying, I think Rajkovic is going to be brought into the first team. With Maldini coming to coach and reminiscing over his style, looks likely
In addition to backup striker, left full back and goal keeper, I think we need an attacking midfielder. We had a fit lampard last year and he scored 20 and contributed another 10 or so.. At 31, we should look for a backup. Ballack scored 2 goals last season, Essien – 3 and John Obi nothing.. Essien and John Obi would be out for African cup.. VDV should be available for around 10 million and would form the playmaker role in christmas tree formation..
Ranierri brought Glen Johnson – 8 MM
Jose brought Paulo – 15 ++ MM and Belleti – 3 MM
LFS or grant or someone brought bosingwa – 16 MM
now we are back for glen johnson – 18.5 MM
60 MM spend on a right full back position over 6 years ..

RAFA BENITEZ’S pursuit of England full-back Glen Johnson has stalled – after Portsmouth accepted a rival £17.5million bid from Chelsea.
Liverpool boss Benitez had an offer accepted for Johnson, 24, on Monday.
He was hoping to tie up the transfer this week only for Chelsea to have now matched the Reds’ approach.
Johnson has told friends he favours a move to Merseyside after a miserable time at Stamford Bridge between 2003 and 2007, where he made just 35 league starts.
Yet Chelsea are hoping to tempt him back to the capital with a more lucrative wage package.
Johnson’s departure from Fratton Park remains inevitable though.
Pompey executive chairman Peter Storrie said: “The matter will come to a conclusion at the beginning of next week. I do not have a preference over the move, it is up to Glen.
“The deals are almost identical so it really is down to him and what club he prefers, which one is going to pay him more money.
“Glen wants to play regularly in the Champions League, he has got himself back in the England side so I understand that. Sometimes you have to be fair to players.”
Johnson’s performances for Pompey last season elevated him into the position of Fabio Capello’s No 1 right-back.
And with the World Cup in South Africa less than 12 months away, he is conscious that unless he is playing Champions League football he could miss out.
Storrie added: “It’s a big year for him with the World Cup coming up.
“Playing Champions League football will make him an even better player than he is today.”
Also on his way is Pompey defender Djimi Traore, who is joining French outfit Monaco on a free.
The ex-Liverpool full-back was on loan last season at Birmingham and has failed to land a new deal at Fratton Park. He had a Monaco medical yesterday and is set to pen a three-year deal.
Replying to TruePlatinum:
Yeah, Pirlo can be another Deco…and might make Ancelotti another LPS if he at all brings Pirlo in and does what LPS did with Deco. But i pray nothing as such will happen!
Jose Bosingwa is great going forward and making crosses but he often forgets his primary role, i.e. to defend. Yesterday, i saw Maicon – for the first time – and was impressed, he is a better defender than Bosingwa…and i loved his free kicks, inch perfect!
I don’t want Glen at all…..even if he is coming for free. With the likes of Maicon, Ferreira and Belleti…who is Glen? And Portsmouth is simply incomparable with Chelsea…We also have Mancienne and Ivanovic who can play full back at the right if the need arises. And i am assuming that Bosingwa will be leaving….what we need is a left back, a striker and a goal keeper. May be Ashley Young can come in and make Malouda compete for the place…competetion brings best in people!
Tevez, Young, Zhirkov and Hart would be best buys for us this season!
And we can get some cash from selling Deco, Bosingwa, Riccy (if he wants to leave), Kalou, Ferreira, Sheva and Pizarro.
My line up:
Young……………….Tevez…………………Joey
………Lampard………………….Essien…………
…………………………Mikel………………………
A Cole…….Terry…………Ivanovic……Maicon
……………………….Cech………………………..
Subs: Malouda for Young, Drogba for Tevez, Ballack for Mikel, Alex for Ivanovic and Hart.
Other possible subs: Anelka, Zhirkov, Alex, Mancienne and Belletti.
last time Glen Johnson was at Chelsea, he was sloppy and sullen and had a horrible Afro I think , he moved to Portsmouth cos David James had an Afro too !!
At least if he comes back this time he won’t have that silly Afro !
Why buy worse fullback?
we must be after ribery
Why buy worse fullback?
we must be after ribery
i dont think he is worst full back he is england no 1 rightback and he has improved a lot
I wanna make a point here regarding the right back position at chelsea.
Whether it is bosingwa at chelsea or johnson at chelsea frankly the right back problem still persists at chelsea.
They both are good going forward but defensively they both are always left wanting….
So technically it makes no difference.
The best solution to this problem is that chelsea shall stick with bosingwa and not complicate the situation further……..chelsea should not waste time on the right back option and shall beef up its attacking options upfront.
I have been ridiculously tired of this David Villa and his antics and villareal as a club.
These guys are behavin as if villa is the best striker in the world ….as if there can be no life without him for anyone….
As a matter of fact he is just a decent player who is ageing and someone who has had the best years of his life well behind him….
So villareal as a club should come to terms with the basic facts of life and be well within their limitations..
And one message for Lorente (the club president).” Please f**k off….
not saying he is the worst, he is the best english recognised rightback, im saying bosingwa is better
just like when papers were saying we would get adebayor when drogba is better, it made no sense
KarmaCW, the formation is inch perfect BUT alex is better than ivanovic, no questions asked and tevez cant play the role of a loan striker, drogba is better, tevez for us needs to be a right winger, that is the only space for him at chelsea
We are close to signing Mexes to replace Carvahlo. Great Buy. Great buy.
Replying to TruePlatinum: well just heard that FC twente will be allowed to keep Rajkovic for one more year.
Im glad someone sees Hart as a class player good enough for chelsea.
just heard we are after Mexis!! of Roma… a replacement for Ricky.
Chelsea now in for Philip Mexes to replace Richardo Carvalho. The deal is to be 12 million. So here we go 30 million to shore up our defense, which i thought was Ok.. we don’t seems to reinforce what we need the most.. without drogba and lampard, we will struggle to score goals..
Carlos Tevez has Officially left Manchester United after no agreement was reached regarding his future. I do not agree with you all, I think Tevez can fit into almost any formation given that he is such a hardworking player and now that DD has gotten that ridiculously long UEFA ban, Tevez will be soo useful pairing up with Anelka; we all know Tevez can set-up the goal, and Anelka can finish.
Really hoping that some deal can be reached.
KTBFFH !

Yes , paying 50 and 60 million for villa or aguerro, with half that amount we get Tevez.. He may have scored only 15 or so goals, but you got to know that he was rarely started and never enjoyed the long run which rooney enjoys..
Still no takers for midfielders..
Tevez has left, NOW is our chance.

Replying to Mike Ayad: he is a good play but it is if we are looking in his direction.. heard carlo called him.. he wants CL football, we are a big 4, the thing is we are also linked with pato (we could get them both), Kun… villa wont come (affraid of the EPL). I personally would have gone for Santa Cruz. so lets sum it up. tevez would e cheaper than kun…. but salary would be similar. pato would be a bit expensive… slary would be manageable. i would go for Teves and Pato….. i dont want Di Santo to be left out though…… he is a good lad i like him!! we must allow him to mature……can you imagin a Pato /Di Santo combo!!! my God!!

LETS GO !!
for the last F*^king time, Aguero and Tevez CAN NOT PLAY ON THE WING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Replying to xerxesk: i dont know why they dont suggest to buy natural wingers.. and stop trying to convert strikers…..look at kalou….. the guy is a striker.. and when he plays a bit off everyone is on his back. buy a striker and play him as a striker.. simple.. we will go for pato!! (stiker)
guys didnt pato have some injury problems(knee) first season at Milan
confirm please….. because this is a tough league… the last thing we want is a soft boy.
pato can play on the wing and as a striker. pato zhirkov and giovonco would fit great in chelsea.
Pato has never played on the wing.

you got some things right but others wrong…..like the pato up front…. no to glen….. Maicon would be the best replacement to bosingwa, why replace bosingwa any way he did very well for his first season…. so he will get better ( we wont sell him just like that we are not that type of club). i like that kid giovinco.. keeper i say Hart, a german keeper (neuer) or the russian keeper Igor Akinvee

Yes, Maicon would be good, given that we are selling Deco and Richardo Carvalho to inter.. Giovinco is Juve’s jewel.. He will not be sold unless another scandalous offer comes :-)
I dont know if Essien can play Wide. Well he can, but he will be a wast at wide.
Denver
ends that theory then, lol
tevez can not play anywhere, determination cannot defy physics. He is a striker, would probably be acceptable on the wing, like anelka
but just like denver says, Chelsea will buy players to play them in natural positions
and for the argument, i’ve seen pato play wide right for brazil
I get the feeling ALOT is going on behind the scenes that we don’t know about
Drogba keeps giving strange interviews, pato can’t make up his mind
the only reason I could see Bosingwa leaving, is to acquire someone like ribery at a deflated price
ahh, football politics are so weird
Guys, I think Drogba is on his way out as well, things just aren’t adding up right now
anyway, i doubt we’d see tevez in the premiership as he’s turned down man utd
“We have been kinda slow in our transfers yet there is speculation about increasing our defence unnecessarily, which i hate.we need attacking options.miroslav stoch is our own raw giovinco in the making so he isnt needed.for a striker i would take PATO over aguero& benzema simply because he wants to play for us and the coach which is a rarity in itself. PODOLSKI is another option.good left foot, clinical & can play left wing.we lack versatility in attack.Anybody interested in HULK? At 21 he is a young striker in the mould of rooney.i would be open for Robben’s return or JESUS NAVAS.i still think QUARESMA wasnt given a fair crack at the epl,i would be open to a deco/riccy swap for him.midfield could use a van der vaart/sneijder or the turkish midfielder sahin,22 since gourcuff is untouchable. Lulina, taison, kerlon, renato augusto are top creative flair youngsters.hope carlo can use his brazilian connections to bring us the next superstar/zola!”
If we need to sign a CM, it should be Dzagoev as he is very young, and Ballack will be around for at least one more season. And Gatusso also is not coming here. No Gatusso, No Pirlo and No Seedorf.
Replying to TruePlatinum: that would be bad news for us if the Drog leaves….. i cant explain it but we are just a different team with the damn man .. and who every cant see that if blind and a fool! I agree chelsea is doing alot of work behind the scene they are so damn good at keeping secrets!! damn it man!!! but i pray we will strengthen effectively !!! because manure is now weak… but i heard they want benzema
Podolski sucks at club level.
I definately agree with u on Pato over the others.
Hulk is amazing but porto want over 35 mil for him.
Navas gets home sick and doesnt want to leave spain. Deco and Carvahlo should be traded for Balotelli.
Lulina and Kerlon are flops. Kerlon made shit all impact at Seria A.
Dzagoev is my dream signing. I would rather have him then any other player.
Queresma is on his way to Genoa.
———
Replying to xerxesk: no man saw the Pod a few times and he looked good .. but i think he is at Cologne now
This is the year to push for Premiership again ! I hope CA realizes that and RA spends a bit to strengthen the squad a bit , no more than a bit cos we ain’t in Real’s shape are we ?
ya he is which makes no sense for him to move right now. We should sign Ze Roberto on free transfer as a back up for Essien and Mikel now that we are releasing Minero.
WISHLIST : STRIKER – AGUERO/TEVEZ/PATO (ATLEAST ONE PLSSS)
MIDFIELD – ALAN DZAGOEV
WINGER/FULLBACK – ZHIRKOV
DEFENDER – MEXES/RICHARDS (MAN CITY)
GOAL-KEEPER – SERGIO ASENJO
I DONT THINK WE NEED ANYONE BESIDES THESE
OUT : DECO, FERRIERA, ANELKA, KALOU, IF WE SELL CARVALHO WE NEED ONE OF THOSE DEFENDERS.
FEEL FREE TO SHARE UR THOUGHTS
I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE TRANSFER ZONE WORLD WIDE AND IM HOPING CHELSEA DOES SOMETHING BECAUSE WE NEED YOUNGER PLAYERS AND DEPTH AS HIDDINK MENTIONED. ITS FRUSTRATING TO SEE US NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. HOPING TO SEE SOME GOOD NEWS. DESPERATELY NEED ONE OF THOSE STRIKERS AT LEAST.
WHATSAY FELLOW BLUES?

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/371532/Fernando-Torres-is-pound50million-Chelsea-target-Carlo-Ancelotti-ready-to-launch-audacious-bid.html
Jan Sebek is an awesome idea as a back up keeper
being young and czech has several advantages for us!!!
Tevez is either going to Chelsea or Man city
( fingers crossed)
how about the americans making it thru in the confederations cup? damn that was close. usa v spain on wedsday were going to get mutilated
pretty incredible how far USA has come. Need more support from home though…
Replying to denver:
we keep bosingwa but still we have to bring in some other defenders anyway. glen jhonson has been really good this season plus he allready have been a chelsea players so he knows the players and he is english. a great signing but he is a bit expensive
I just want to asl everyone a question
below is our team, based on what we’ve achieved and the problems we have, where are the trouble spots and how do you move foward?
cech
bosingwa alex terry a.cole
essien
lampard ballack
J.Cole Malouda
Drogba
Bench of Belletti, Mikel, Anelka Kalou, Ivanovic
Instantly I’d say Ballack is the weak link, we need to find a younger version of him, height, strength and passing ability are a must
we lack a 2nd choice leftback
we need a 3rd winger, someone capable of starting in any situation
those are the holes I see and with the right sales, £30 mil (or less) should do more than enough
but anyway, thats what I see, what do you think?
I’ve heard news that Essien might go…
I hope it’s rubbish!
Replying to TruePlatinum: personally i would replace the the good German with a next German – Tim Boroski, other options VDV, pushing Mikel there, dont have any more right now
VDV is Dutch Denver and also Boroski is sooooo bad he is being released by Bayern.
ibra to chelsea! he´s a great great player. i´d welcome him, unless he comes for the cost of DD.
Please don’t make an offer..

Where did you hear that Essien might leave
IBRA is the latest name being linked with us and according to some news he will playing for Chelsea next season, well I don’t know how much truth is behind those report and also lets just count how many strikers we have been linked with in the space of 4 weeks. 1: Edin Dzeko, 2: Marco Arnautovic, 3: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 4: David Villa, 6: Carlos Tevez, 7: Sergio Aguero, 8: Pato. Now that’s 8 strikers in total (maybe i’ve missed out a few names) but the reality of the matter is we are most likely to welcome Sheva back to the bridge then sign any of those names. Sheva wants to return to the club and honour his last year left on the contract. Dont get me wrong I’m a massive fan of Sheva but that was before he moved to Chelsea because since then we have never seen the player who at Milan had the world at his feet.
Also let me update you guys on a few things in case people don’t know this already, Marco Arnautovic has agreed a deal with Inter and will be joining them soon. Carlos Tevez is 95% likely to join Man City because they can afford his huge wage bill and some reports have also gone on to suggest Chelsea have made no offer for Tevez so that’s another striker ticked off the list. Roque Santa Cruz will be joining City in the next 24hrs aswell, Edin Dzeko wants to join Milan or stay at Wolfsburg, David Villa wants to join Real Madrid or Liverpool. Aguero wants £200K a week which automatically means a big NO.
That leaves Pato and Ibra as the only known strikers in the market that we can go for (if we do) well Ibra is an amazing player and a proven striker but he’s about to hit 28, so do we really want to pay something like £45M+ for a striker that has no garuntees. Pato is the only genuine striker I would love for us to purchase, 19 years old and has years ahead of him to adapt and to improve, but he will come with an expensive price tag aswell but one, which will be worth it in the end. Besides Pato another striker that Im really keen on is Jaan Klaas Huntellar, he would fit the Chelsea mould perfectly and can be purchased within the £25M region and he is only 26. But none of that is in our hands, and if I am to be realistic then lets face it Chelsea simply cant attract the big names or even decent names to come and play for us. As much as we are a team custom made to break the will of other teams and simply spearhead into matches, we still dont have the name and the reputation of the linkes of Madrid, Barca, UTD and Liverpool so it will be interesting to see what happens in the next 2 months, to be honest I dont have any high hopes of us doing some great business in the market, hopefully we just dont end up spending £20M on the likes of Pirlo.
Replying to chelsea=champions: its just his ASS HOLE agent trying to cause trouble.
Replying to xerxesk: he can get back his form.. that can happen to you when you are left on the bench … that is what happened to him…. I watched the guy in the 2006 world cup.. he is just like ballack when ballack was young ) and a few Bayern games and when he was at Bremen…. he was a key player there.. thats why Bayern bought him.. but left him on the bench. (guess they just needed depth)
Replying to Jaz: always look out for you thoughts man… i think your right we just cant pull anyone to ourselves.. its a shame… because we are really a bad ass team… anyhow their loss. I would love to see pato!! and Di Santo in combo!! not sure if Madrid will sell Huntalaar, see that they bought him in january. we missed out big time on Podolski i think. but as you said…all the rest lookim possible. between their cost to there wage demands!! but i would shell out on Pato
Please buy Ibrahimovic, I think he’s the best and most complete striker in the world. They want Deco and Carvalho, lets do a players plus cash swap. He led the Serie A in scoring, which is a defensive league.. just imagine what kind of production we could get from him with the best midfield in the world supplying him the ball. He can provide all the skills and flair that players like Ronaldo and Robinho can do, he’s excellent in the air, can score with either foot, from any distance.. we can devastate the opposition. He’s always been my favorite player outside of Chelsea, PLEASE BUY ZLATAN!!
Giuseppe Rossi is another name that has become available, and he can be purchased for £22M and will not turn down a move to Chelsea according to his agent. So what do you guys think, I mean he is only 22 years old and is quite a decent striker to be honest and if we can land him for below £25M and develop him over the next 3/4 years then I think we can turn him into a goal scoring machine and even if worse comes to worse then with the way prices for players are shooting up we should be able to sell him for £20M+ in the near future. Any thoughts from you guys on this matter??

I think MAnu has the first buy back option on him and if at all we show interest then they may just snap him to be secure. It looks Manure desperately needs a star and they will go for anyone around.
Glen Johnson has signed for Liverpool for £18M, finally a good news, I was biting my nails over the prospect that we might lose Bosingwa over Johnson, I mean that’s like losing Ronaldo for Morten Gamst Pederson LOL. The only name I would trade Bosingwa for is Maicon, well atleast one of our worries is out of the way and Liverpool are £18M short of their transfer budget, which is always good news!!
Liverpool will be a better squad for buying johnson, a good keeper and right winger and liverpool pretty much are balanced
santa cruz has gone to man city
we’ve sold ben sahar (the young israeli international) to espanyol
I think the Ancelotti will wait until the appeal process is finished with until he makes purchases
As much as I love DD, Chelsea will be better off letting him go to Mourinho and taking on Ibrahimovic
Drogba is my favourite striker in the world, no-one is quite like him, a true lifetime talent, underrated by Chelsea haters but on his day he is untouchable. Problem is injuries (the same ones) and attitude. Chelsea will never be happy, the red card in moscow, the coin throwing, swearing on live tv, interviews about hating chelsea. Truth is he is giving the board a headache and I think they will act should his ban not be overturned
essien will never leave chelsea until he is about 30 something, then he might retire in france
tevez will not play in england anymore. Yeah there was that whole west ham thing, but he will never take that stance on his career again, I would not be shocked to see him at ac milan, after all, they have lost kaka, will soon lose pirlo (who i expect to sign for us at about £12million)
we could sign pato, but I doubt milan would let us buy him and pirlo
damn sheva wants to stay at chelsea.. we must sell him…. if he stay… he will just be on the bench.. but he is a good finisher.. could be used in CL
what do you guys think??
i thought he wanted to go to roma
Peaceeeeeeeeeee….. like some one said, you don have to have any limits on dreams ,,, why is everyone after all these expensive players ? Please take a look at the current squad and think,, do we really need to make too many changes and unbalance a team which is playing OK…
GOal keeper, Cech—We also have a young goalkeeper RHys taylor, as well as some huge bckups in academy why not give a chance for the lads, also hilario incase of emergency.. (3)
Defenders- Paulo, belletti(though hes been playing an advanced role recently), bosingwa, ivanovic, manciene, alex, JT, carvalho, cole. (9)
Apart from a backup to ashley cole we have enough covers for defence. even if paulo, belletti and even ricky leaves, which would be sad, hes still a warrior and JT is 200 percent better when carvalho plays alongside him. although alex has been doing very good recently in his absence, so we don need a defender at the moment. >>>>>>>>>> backup to ashley cole — No 1 priority.
lets jump forward and see the striking optons now and leave the midfeld for time being.
Drogba, anelka, kalou, disanto. jacob mellis(well i haven seen much of this lad, anyone any idea ??) (5)
i personally think, we are a bit weak in striking department, we can play drogba as a lone striker, or pair him with anelka, or even kalou, disanto and drogba can click as well, since we did have once an ivorian and argentine, playing upfront and boy didnt they produce some spectacular goals, one player thats all we need for that depth in squad, especially considering the fact both kalou and drogba are off to african cup midway through the season. Pato, villa, tevez, benzema, huntelar all would suit but do we need to spent that big ? If its upto me to choose one, no doubt i woul go for tevez, as hes proven in premireship and he would chase all day long, high quality work rate,,, others may cut it but always risky when u spent so much money. i would be more than happy if we get sturidge on a free transfer. we also have some strikers in reserves unless they are given a chance they would never get that experience playing for a big team on big occasions. I admire wenger for that, giving the lads a chance to prove they can play and perform, lets not talk about winning medals, but have a look at clichy, gibbs, fabregas, they are all young and brilliant, and wenger give them a chance to play. if we can bring in some players
Midfield. Well like BC said, we don need players for the sake of it, we need players who can fit to systems, who can do certain things, who are capapble of pulling thier weight week in week out, not jus when they fancy it. if we go for a lone striker system, we can hav a 5 man midfield, and if we adopt a strike partnership then we can go for 4 midfield players. our current squad have lota dead woods, but i am sure some of them have few more seasons in them
JCole, M Stock, JOM,Messien, Mballack,miniero, deco, lampard, malouda, s sinclair, quresma (11)
we can have all sorta combination from this choice. 4-4-2/ 4-3-3. or 4-5-1/ 4-3-2-1
In total we have 28 players at the moment which i think is too much for first team, somthing around 25 would be ideal which should include few young players. takin into consideration, quresma back to inter along with deco and carvalho it would make the squad 25 players. we could easily get rid of 3 more belleti, paulo and miniero, making room for 3 new faces, ideally a left back, a creative midfield player and striker, then i think we are set and ready to go for the new season.
we also have some players good enough in reserves and academy, unless they are given a chance they would never get that experience playing for a big team on big occasions. I admire wenger for that, giving the lads a chance to prove they can play and perform, have a look at clichy, gibbs, fabregas, denilson, song, diaby, they are all young and brilliant, and wenger gives them a chance to play. i know, they are not experienced and they lack that when they get on big occasios, but we have plenty of experinced players who can teach them, why sent them to some championship side where they hardly play at times ?? if we can bring in some players from academy and prove everyone that we do have talents in our academy that would be fantastic.
My choice of players would a versatile left sided player who can cover for both ashley and malouda some one like Zhirkov or roysten drente would be ideal. a playmaker who can pick passes and distribute it or some one who hav can open the opposition defence with sheer skill and pace . ashley young or rafeal van der vart comes to mind. pirlo is tp quality as well but bringing another pensioner is not very nice though. and a striker or some one who can play jus off the bigman. tevez would be ideal for that. he can also play outwide if needed.
Huntelaar, Drogba and Anelka our three main strikers for next season – send Di Santo out on loan, and call up Borini as our fourth. Malouda and Robben our wingers down the left, Joe Cole and Sneijder down the right. Central midfield of Lamps, Essien, Ballack, Mikel and Van der Vaart.
Personally, I never really had a problem with Shevchenko. I still think hes a classy striker, you just dont lose that killer goal-scoring ability by switching clubs. I think the real reason he failed to click with us is because Jose never really wanted him. As denver pointed out, he can be quite useful in the Champions League since Drogba wont be playing in the group stages, and he will be working under Ancelotti, who might not have used him during his loan spell but thought of him as his main striker during his earlier AC Milan days.
Now that Sheva is back, we dont really need any striker whose wage demands and transfer pull could cost us many millions. In Drogba, Anelka, Di Santo and Shevchenko, we have a very able attack. Coupled with our exceptional midfield, I think we can be the next EPL and CL winners easily. I wouldnt mind at all if Sheva decides to go to Roma and Kun or Tevez is brought in, but I’m telling you, Shevchenko is our man.
KTBFFH !!
Please not this …

FUCK ESSIEN WANT TO STAY !!! PLSEAS Dont GO :’(
I LOVE ESSIENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!(L)(L)
every lame (and i mean really lame in this case) rumour that comes in a lot of you start crying about it.
it would have to be some kind of twisted dimension for chelsea to sell essien to real madrid or barcelona?!
STOP READING THE SUN PEOPLE
I hope man city’s now even more overstaffed squad puts Tevez off
Apart from manures squad; Chelsea’s squad can give Tevez the best role to keep his game at the highest standard
Replying to Jaz: Rossi is a very kewl player but I doubt he would make our current squad. he is to small and EPL is different to la liga. Huntellar on the other hand, he would be an ideal summer signing for us. I think the best striker in the world is villa, he is just unbelievable, pure class. but I cant see him come to the bridge unfortunately.
IF we can ship over Jose b. to bayern to trade over ribery then we have to get maicon. or just a trade (Jose Maicon) is welcomed also.
malouda seem to have signed a 2 year extension. good news. Anelka played well so I think he will be even better next year.
Zhirkov will end up playing wit us, get pato or atleast Huntellar.
ibra, as good as he is, he will cost to much and there is no way we can pay his salary. and dude is not a winner, he chocks in big games. he have never scored in the knockout stage of CL, and for sweden either. He is the highest payed player in the world, but he is not even top three strikers in the world.

^^Im just hoping we come out with a better away kit ….Lol @ Newcastle
Danny Sturridge seems to have signed for Chelsea according to some news, City were originally asking for £10M for development fee but Chelsea have only offered £3M, which City rejected, but now the FA comittee will decide on the price but none the less Sturridge will be a Chelsea player. The kid is great and only 19 and scored some good goals last season for City, him alongside Di Santo will make a great combo, its good to see Chelsea paying interest in talented youngsters. Also Malouda has signed a 2 year extension, well good for him hopefully he can improve on his form from last season. In other news Zhirkov will be joining Chelsea next week according to a few Russian newspapers and last but not least Gatusso, Pirlo and Seedorf will not be joining Chelsea – finally a good day in the blues calender.
Its official, Malouda has agreed a new 4yr deal. He be at CFC till 2013.

Replying to T€ð®ø§ (kuhulai): right you are!! the damn guy never shows up for Inter…… drogba does for chelsea!! that is why drog is the best!!
Replying to Jaz: how do you know these things man?chelsea like star player.. sorry to say Sturridge is not.. chelsea seem more likely to move for Pato
Anyway, it would be nightmare to sell Essien.
Pato, Ibrahimovic, Maicon are great, but i would put club harmony before them and even trophies.
about Anelka, i think next season he will be even better.
strurridge may be good give him a good run in first team
essien will stay no doubt he will be expensive real are focused on ribery barca dont need him
So Di Santo to Blackburn (loan)
Sturridge to Chelsea as new 3rd striker
What’s the point? However it’s good to know that they want to maintain the English core unlike the club that starts with arse
