Chelsea were robbed. The referee simply hated Chelsea FC. In match terms, he just refused to give penalties to Chelsea. There were at least three of them by my count. You even had Gerard Pique admitting on TV the handball that he was involved in. There was a handball even in the last 10 seconds of the match. Going by his reluctance, even a goal-keeper like save by an outfield player would not have been called hand ball. In the first half, you had Malouda brought down very clearly inside the box and being given a free kick. The referee was a complete joke. Either he is the worst referee in Europe or he is the most corrupt.
By the way, Chelsea played a fantastic game of football. They attacked and created several good chances, they defended resolutely and is terribly unlucky to be the losing side. We simply played Barca out of the game. They had a lot of possession but did not have even ONE shot on target until stoppage time. Meanwhile, Chelsea had so many chances to kill the game.
I say Chelsea were robbed because there were at least three stonewall penalties that were denied. Jose Mourinho has always said how referees and UEFA favoured clubs like Barcelona and Milan. I believe him. Chelsea deserved to win tonight by a margin of some goals. The only ‘thing’ that was between Chelsea and the champions league final was that Barca-supporting referee.I’m backing and supporting Man Utd to win the champions league. Barscum must be beaten and put where they belong to.
Is the champions league jinxed for Roman? In 04-05, we were eliminated by the ghost goal by Liverpool. In 05-06, Messi playacted to get Del Horno sent off. In 06-07, we went out in penalties in semi finals. In 07-08, we could not win the finals due to an unfortunate slip. And now, this game.
Anyway, Chelsea will be back next season. With probably a new and improved squad and probably a new manager. We must thank Guus. He’s done a great job at Chelsea in such short period. He was just terribly unlucky not to reach the finals.
It’s so depressing like the Moscow night but once again, I’m proud of the Blues!

yes the ref was blind. but we certainly should have finished it off. we all the good chances of the game, and played so much better than barca. it’s a real waste. and so tragic, especially since they scored so late.
but oh well. chelsea did well. they can keep their chins up.
Absolutely spot on. I leave the final comment to didier drogba who clearly said what we were all feeling about this ref to the camera as he went off.
He’s a disgrace, he’s a ****ing disgrace. As are uefa.
But my count it was 5 penaltys..altought last one from Ballack kick could have been forgiven if it wasnt for the fact that Etou clearly wanted to stop the ball no matter what so he even raised his arms.
My consolation is that his wife must be crying now, seeing his husband lost his balls…
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKK REFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOB :@:@:@:@:@…
Yes the referee screwed up BIGGG time… but what about the chances that Chelsea didnt take? Its all their own doing by not playing attacking football in Nou Camp. An away goal would have saved them.
Drogba is a cheat. He has no right to blame anyone. He dived and posed many times even today.
This was the most unfair game i´ve ever seen in my life. There should be a replay of this fixture. There were atleast 5 occasions that happened right in front of Ref´s eyes, and he didn´t even give 1 penalty. And in the end Barca wasted atleast 2 minutes after they scored, and chelsea didn´t get the necessary extra extra 2 minutes. fuck you ref, he must be taken action against.
the ref was complete blind, my count was 6 stonewll penos turned down
he should never ref agen and is the poorest ref ever in this game
if we had another ref we would have had them given but he had no knowledge of the game tonight
he bottled it in the big game for the final
This is, to no surprise, not the first time this ref has made terrible mistakes:
http://msn.tv2sporten.no/article1987090.ece
Why he continues to get big matches is a mystery in it of itself.
It doesn’t matter how many chances we had, the fact of the matter is we should have at least been given one clear penalty. If Barcelona resort to using their hands in the outfield defense, then I guess it speaks more to our own ability than anything else.
All that talk about anti-football and negative-football goes out the window when looking at today’s game. I’m proud of the way Chelsea played, and they have nothing to be ashamed of. We showed an attack-only team how we score our goals. Drogba should have had put away two goals, but none of that matters in the grand scheme of things.
Never thought I’d cheer the Red Devils in my life time, but here’s to hoping they keep football at least somewhat respectable and bring home the title again.
In my eyes there are four penalties and 2 of them were should..okay Drogba should have scored …but cant call him a cheat i want him to stay…I know the players are disappointed as much as we are …did u see the reaction of michel Ballack for the last penalty appeal….Well what i seen the game is Barca and messi are too hype…come on united run riot them
ref was a fuckin disgrace 3 times he should have given a penalty stupid fuckin prick
i wouldn’t blame any of the players for going mad with him ,they were to win and were robbed by a dumb fuckin idiot
Replying to JoeBLUE_ M:
this was supposed to be a football match mate, and not handball. Pique clearly touched the ball with his palm. That was a penalty, even Pique told in his interview it should have been a penalty for chelsea.
and if you call the way barca played today is a beautiful football, then many would stop watching football.
thanks BC. you did the right thing by erasing that comment.
usman akmal drogba is a lone striker putting himself physically into every tackle for 90 mins, he takes more kicks than anyone anywhere what planet are you on get off here and go back to your own planet you muppet!!!! The anti drogba brigade would buy him in a second. And as for not taking theyre chances atleast they created them the so called best team in the world couldnt for 93 mins funny that maybe spanish football isnt what its cracked up to be eh maybe you should get a flight there cos you sound like a spanish muslim am i right?
Good picture BC. It makes me spit on my monitor. He is very poor and thats the fact. Its absolutely injustice that referees who cant handle this kind of pressure are asked to officiate such a crucial match. He might have had the Norwegian referee of the year award, but who the fcuk on the face of earth watches Norwegian football or considers it competitive. I am awaiting what action does UEFA take on his poor performance. He should be suspended for a season.
No matter the amount we cry, its true that we are not in final. Lets win the FA cup and end the season with success.
I am scared that I dont have much to do till this month end FA cup. Its the most depressing thing. I hope my team in IPL performs well. I atleast have IPL to kill my time. Rohit Sharma got 4 wickets today , who is a part time bowler. I am sure that there are good things round the corner.
BLUE IS THE COLOR. CHELSEA IS THE NAME.
heart breaking….mind numbing simply grief sticken…….end to a match….we claerly deserved to win….i dot know WHT TO SAY….
BUT ONE THNG i want make it clear…
BARCA WINNING THE GAME IS NOT A FREAKIN VICTORY FOR FOOTBALL….THEY DIDNT DESERVE TO WIN IT. THEY ARE NO THE GREATEST TEAM IN THE WORLD…!!…..THEY SIMPLY HAVE NO FREAKING BRAINS TO ADAPT…!!…IF NOT FROM EXTERNAL HELP LIKE THE SON OF b****H referee they wouldnt be able to score a goal against chelea for another whole 180 minute…s!!!…
platin and the uefa are a disgrace to mankkinD!!!!!.
MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO ALL THE BLUE FANS HERE……OR ANY SANE NEUTRAL ….WHICH EVER BLOG U SEE WHICHEVER NEWSPAPERS U SEE…WHIC EVR PUNDIT U SEE TELIG THT WE DERVEDTO LOST…..VERBALLY RIP THEM APRT.!!………….
AND MARK MY WORDS ……WEHN WE DO WIN THE CL …..THE WORLD WILL BE AT OU FEET!!!……………….NOTHING CAN DENY TRUE GREATNESS…..WHICH IS WHT CHELSEA IS ALL ABOUT…!!
should have won the the game referee was a disgrace
I dont blame the players for reacting if it was anyone else they would of to our boys are true blue I would of loved to of seen them let drogba go would of given us something the ref then, like a chance to see him ko`d hahahaha
fuck you refer you are a fuckin noob .. you are a really big shit
UEFA robbed us :@ fuck you
platini what a player but he hates the english game so i must agree with michael all he wants is continantal teams in it the ref was on abung
I agree trevor funny how an obviously anti english nut can be in charge isnt it he should be sacked andf whoever voted for him should as well platini should be made to explain why the ref was so biast !
So the ref is to blame for Chelsea not taking any of the countless chances?
Or for Hiddink’s decision to sub Drogba?
im in the a foul houmor Zolla so im off to bed but we WILL THE FA CUP and i hope that ref DIES of shame but i think hes SHAMELESS goodnight all blues
This is going to be a very long comment
first and foremost, we were robbed
the team was set up differently this time, Lampard had a clear idea of what he was doing and got foward very well
I would like to applaud our defence, we did so well that even though we ‘parked the bus’ last week, we played more offensively and barca had only one shot on target. Bosingwa had a very good game, some people may have been thinking where was ashley cole at times, the answer is on top of lionel messi, alex and terry played their heart out, they threw their body at every through ball barca attempted
essien’s goal was a cracker, kind of a hit and hope but it is still in contetntion for the best goal of the competition
malouda had a very good game, I knew he would get the better of daniel alves today who came very close to getting the red I predicted
Time to slate the ref
Barca had a ridiculous decision put against them, abidal did absolutely nothing to anelka and was very unjustly sent off
But we were on the end of some ridiculous refereeing
I’m not sure why alex got a yellow, you could see him try to get away from messi and messi turned his run
We had 4, thats four, very very clear penalty cases and not one was given
They weren’t hard to give, they were the kind of penalties that are given worldwide very often, we ourselves conceeded a penalty against juventus for belletti doing exactly what eto’o did today and one against liverpool for shirt pulling and grappling the box
but today, we had a huge shirt pull and 3 very clear handballs
the first, we see malouda make a run into the box, take the ball away from alves and then when he attempts to run away, alves blocks him
the ref whistles, it looks like the game is over, where as the standard referee would show a red card to alves and point to the spot, he gives a yellow and points to the outside of the box even though malouda is still on the floor in the penalty box
we see drogba through on goal and abidal(or keita) grabs his shirt, then trips him, nothing given
we see a ball come into anelka, who uses his first touch to beat pique and put the ball in space, only for pique to slap it away, nothing given, pique and guardiola themselves admit it was a penalty
and finally, at the point where I really expected to see the winning goal, a stunning strike from ballack is saved by the stretched arms of wait for it…..samuel eto’o, nothing given
guus had the formation down to the tee, it was perfect, our players were perfect
I can fault but one player today, Drogba
Drogba’s reputation of going down easily, did him no favours, and his lack of urgency hurt us more, Drogba seemed almost reluctant to shoot at times, I don’t know if it was confidence, or not wanting to risk a high profile miss, but the fact is, as I and many others predicted, Barca’s lack of defensive ability bit them time and time again with Drogba being put through on goal 3 times and each of those times, sending the ball into the keeper, the fourth time he sent the ball into his own foot! When we needed him to shine most, when we worked hard, he let us down, just like he did in the final last year, yes the ref was unhelpful but drogba has more than enough ability to play through that
and his reluctance to play well cleary led to his substitution when we clearly needed him, just having him on the pitch instead of belletti would of made a world of difference
tactically we were suberb, we built on the draw in our last encounter. Tonight we forced Barca wide, denied them the space they dwell on and forced them to put the ball where we wanted it, Barca looked threatening once and that was the iniesta goal
However, the only dispute I have with Hiddink, was his refusal to bring in mikel, Hiddink knew come extra time we would defend for our lives, I knew it and I really expected either mikel or ballack to be subbed, avoiding needless bookings and injecting fresh legs into the defence, I can see why he didn’t risk it, but I in his shoes, would of made that change
I also would of brought on Di santo, anelka was running wild on the right, especially after abidal was sent off and drogba was not exploiting his extra space, di santo was hungry enough to have taken the shots drogba wouldn’t
I felt let down at the end by ballack and drogba, yes we are angry, yes we were treated so unjustly but that is not a professional way to behave and he did in fact award another 3 minutes of time
it will be interesting to see how uefa deal with the aftermath of tonight, I do feel at least an apology from the ref tonight needs to be issued
as for barca, guardiola’s reluctance to change anything really did bite him, Iniesta clearly needed to be in the midfield and bojan needed introduction earlier, fairplay to iniesta, it was a cracking goal, but for a mixture of reasons, that should not of made a difference, we should of won tonight, by numbers
yes I thought Barca would win this year, but over the two games, they have been completely outplayed, out-thought, they will not change next season, they might sign some more defenders but nothing will change overall, they really are a slightly older and spanish arsenal
we can take some solace in the idea that is is very improbable they will beat man utd in rome considering they will be missing 3 of their starting defenders, I will say well done to the team as the kept a 3-3-3 and kept pushing for that goal, but they in no way deserved it
in light of tonight, I think our team will look very different next season,
tonight I really missed joe cole as he exploits the poor positioning and defending we saw tonight and I think he truly would of brought around the second goal
the fa cup is our consolation, we must win it, if we lose to everton now, we truly would of had our most mocking season I can think of
Scolari ruined our league aspirations and carling cup hopes, fiddled our team needlessly
a ref has ruined our champions league chance that we were desperate to win
we need that trophy
Well done Barcelona on a very well deserved win!
They came to win and set out their stall to do so. Chelsea defended for the whole game and gave the ball away continually without stringing any passes together.
The ‘penalty’ descisions were at best debatable, the referee had a decent game. Why didn’t Chelsea keep the ball in the corners and try to kill time? I’ll tell you why, they knew Barcelona would just take it off them, draw them out of position and score anyway.
The best side won, unlucky Chelsea, there’s always next year…
PS I’m laughing HARD :-)
Hiddink – when he was announced the coach of Chelsea, I started to spend some time reading about him. He is called as lucky Guus in his native country. Spare a moment for this fellow
His Netherlands lost World Cup Semis in 98 on penalities, His South Korea lost World Cup semis in 02, his Russia lost Euro semis in 08 , PSV lost Champions league semis 05 on away goal and now chelsea. I feel sorry for him, but I feel like crying when I hear he will not be with us next season..
What impact he would had have if he was with us entire season is unimaginable. Sometimes, I feel we are not destined to win the Champions League. And the press and TV, they just love to hate Chelsea. While watching the El Clasico on Gol TV, the commentator were cribbing about chelsea, the press is all over and just now I read the Goal.com CL comment it says – Barcelona victory is a victory for football.
Nothing more to write . Hope that Roman can convince Hiddink to stay .
Yeah the ref was very bad but you can’t say he was biased – otherwise he would never have sent off Abidal
Guus won’t be there next year mate so get the Kllenex out
I think that refereeing in all cmpetitions this season has been at best, inconsistent and at worst a downright disgrace!!!! There have been far too many occasions, where the referee’s inability to take complete unbiased control of the match, has been what everyone talks about….. Not the football played!!!! I love Chelsea, but it’s not just about tonight…. Last night Darren Fletcher, a wrongful penalty given against Spurs at Old Trafford….there are far too many to mention….. It’s really depressing to want to watch some fascinating football and to end up shouting obscenities at the ref!!!
@Mike:Just shut the f*** up.
Heartbroken.Cant sleep now.Looks like we arent destined for the champs league.
I just dont know how long is this bad jinx going to continue.
still a proud BLUE.BLUE until death.
I agree, Fletcher and Abidal were hard done by. Both missing out on the Champions League Final because of refereeing errors.
Shame.
Oh well, roll on the final for the Champions of Europe.
‘trueblue’
No abuse please, I’m just stating what my opinion.
The world hates sore losers
it was men agaianst fvckin women. chelsea out plyed them and really showed they are the best team in the world. this massage goes to the ref. i hope u will understand that this will be the last game u ever will watch again. be carefull. this is a dissgrace to fotball.
i’ve just been doing some stat studying, barca did not complete a single pass inside our penalty box
cech did not have to make one save or parry in the entire game, well apart from the goal
I pray we get the chance to take on barca again next season so we can tear them apart, their reaction to the 0-0 draw was disgusting, they are a team of narcissists, minus bojan
im rooting for man utd, barca have no chance
tom henning ovrebo is on my list of untimely un-natural death to cause

Dear Mike, which game did you see .. Barcelona did not even have one strike on goal till 94 min.. Debatable penalty decisions ..
mike just shut the fuck up
yes we will win. weve had awful luck in the champs league, but we have to win it eventually.

there is enough evidence here to merit a penalty
Can’t you all stop crying and take it like big boys!
I’ve been checking my stats too and it says Barcelona scored a legitimate goal and are in the top two in Europe (ahead of the final – might even be #1).
Ref had a good game, just made some decisions that you don’t agree with.

dear mike, did any one deny that barcelona scored a illegitimate goal.. The referee was culprit .. us taking it like big boys. I thought one week earlier , entire europe was crying because chelsea did not play an adventurous game
Today barca did not play well at all . scoring 100 goals in la liga means nothing in champions league .. Lyon has won french league 7 years in a row, does that mean anything in CL..
Correct my knowledge please – if a player removes his shirt , should he be given yellow card. Did Andreas Inesita get one today after scoring the goal..
What’s up Mike? You are crazy men? Fuck you. You see the game??? You are stupid, it’s a scandal, and the referee made on purpose. If referee made a good game, you don´t understand football. I’am portuguese, and i never see a game like that. 4 or 5 penalties in a game??? It is surreal. And don’t tell me that the referre it did not make on purpose. He is a son of bitch, and he never do game again . If football it’s like that, i prefer never see a game again. Did you see that boy cry? It’s sad see things like that. Because Tom Henning decide steal, a boy cry. Tom Henning FUCK YOU.
And Mike, read a book that explain football to you.

Lol! you are putting your comments , but they hurt ppl here. You are not supposed to say anything at will at all the places. Its like you go to palestine and say something about holy prophet mohammed and just give a reason that you are giving your opinion. Ppl will kill you there. Atleast we are giving respect. I am not saying about your post on penalties , but on the “PS” thing that you have written. Get the fcuk outta here.
And more. In 90 minutes, Barca did ONE/1 shoot to beacon. And chelsea? See the game, and talk.
The hand of Pique, is unbelievable the referee not see.
mike
you are in an argument you cannot win
the penalties were not debatable and if drogba or ballack is challenged over their conduct, you can be sure overbo will have an investigation sparked by chelsea fc
I dont know what game you watched mike, but tonight I saw abidal get sent of for running next to anelka
I saw abidal shirt pulling as the last man back
I saw pique take a step towards a ball evading him and slap it away from anelka with his hand
I saw eto’o raise his hands at an oncoming ball and they were not to protect his face nor croth, but rather the goal net
for those reasons, although you may have an opinion and I respect the freeness to respect yourself
you, like that other guy (blue m i think) who pulled out some racism and attack moyo on here not long ago, are talking rubbish and need to understand so
what you have effectively done is walked into a church and said I like Jesus, but I can sympathise with Satan
It is shame that politics rather than football prevailed. With 4 clear penalties not given one has to begin to seriously wonder if there really was a decision taken against Chelsea to ensure a non-English final. The game certainly gave the impression of definite corruption in football.
mike, when you get a minute have a look at these

if these do not help you change your opinion somewhat, seek the advive of your local general practioner
With Drogba due to get a ban, we need another striker – Tevez ..
ballacks last short would hve been goal, if eto is not blocking the ball wth his hand
snd this fu…ing managar home
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
As long as pen and paper / the internet exists : this THIEVERY & WHORE- PIMPING INFAMY will be remembered
well, wat can u say, we are not destined for it, i don want to blame anyone for our mis fortune, we didnt take all our chances, they had one and they took it, well, they are not the free flowing barca everyone is talkin about, one shot on goal,, well, thats wat matters in football somtimes, forget the referee, useless talkin about it, and i am proud that we showed as a football club, we can play any sorta game, if its attacking or defending, accordingly, i am proud to be a blue and we will return, we will be back wid more determination and i think we should all say a big thank you to Guss Hiddink, who is a genius and win the FA cup for him. sad day, but a proud day to be a blue.
Mr Platini : Hey where’s baldy Ovrebo ? Mon ami ! Have a drink……. Join in the celebrations…… Don’t worry about Chelsea players comments Ha ha I will silence
them with bans ha ha ha and if their fans make threats I will disqualify the team for next year… oh for 5 years if I handle it right……… Ah last
night ……excellent footbal …..just excelent ……… But why the fuck did you red card the Barca player ? , it should have been Anelka who was to be
punished for diving ……
Blind man Ovrebo : Please forgive that little mistake sir, you see last time it was Chelsea who were wearing yeallow… got mixed up a bit…
Mr Platini : Let it not happen again….
Blind man Ovrebo : Yes sir……….But sir , even Pique admitted I was dumb-blind and Guardiola said they were “little bit lucky”, why are even Barca
ganging up and shifting all the blame on me ? What if the 3K Bamboo gang come after me, gouge me eyes out ,cut my testes off and shove them in my
eye pits ?
Mr Platini : Ovrebo you little man, why do you think of yourself only now after taking the pay packet. And compared with the welfare of the great continental
teams you are nothing ……. Oh….. Barcelona, AC Milan , Real Madrid ….
Oh… the names roll off my tongue…… oh …. I want to shout out their names out loud for pleasure like they were doggying me…. , ,and anyway
your eye pits are where your balls should be when you referee according to my instructions .
Blind man Ovrebo : Yes,master…
Mr Platini : And if some crazy fan of whatever team torches your house in the future, you have insurance don’t you ?
Bind man Ovebo : Duh …..of course… boss …… but what if I am in it at the time ?
Essien- 6.0 An absolutely phenomenal volley for the opening goal, but as great as that goal was, his botched clearance that led to Iniesta’s strike could seen to be just as awful. Tough fall from the heavens to the doghouse for the Ghanaian midfielder.
Ballack- 7.0 Strong in the defensive midfield throughout the match. Was constantly helping the back four to disrupt the Barcelona possession once it approached the area. Should have won a penalty in the 96th minute.
Lampard- 7.5 Opportunities sprung from the English playmakers foot all match. He sent Drogba through for two golden opportunities and was involved in Essien’s first strike. Not to mention the handful of times he won possession back for his side by retreating to the defensive end.
So when tallying up the refs controversial decisions you are left with…
1) Barcelona receiving an incorrect red card (Abidal) and having to play a man down from the 66th minute.
2) A missed penalty for Chelsea when Pique clearly handed the ball in the area denying Anelka a direct scoring chance. This evens up for the red card offense.
3) And another missed penalty for Chelsea on the Ballack 96th minute volley off Eto’s arm.
This clearly points to Chelsea getting the short end of the stick in this one. You have to feel for the Blues in the referee’s decisions, but they obviously have themselves to blame too.
So the dream final is in place for Roma on the 27th of May, Manchester United vs. Barcelona. What many consider the two best clubs in the world this season, will face-off for the right to be called Champions of European club futbol. It is sure to be a classic.
The 96th minute was Chelsea’s last gasp and effort as Michael Ballack smashed a volley that struck Eto’s upper arm as it was blindly stretched out in the penalty box. Ballack was incensed by the referee waiving play on, and I am going to have to agree with Ballack in this one. It’s questionable, but after the last clear penalty claim was denied this one had to be called in my opinion. Ballack got face to face with the referee and chased him down the pitch in rage.
WTF is wrong with this?
Yes,
we’re a club that made some big success in a short time (becoz’ of Abramovich),
we dont’t have the most glorious history,
we may be made some high big(in terms of money) transfers earlier,
we have a russian owner(but why can’t have him, he’s so pledged to club, that i like him so much),
many ppl don’t like drogba’s style of play(but not majority of chelsea fans).
But,
Why we can not have the CL?
Why we can not be a most popular team in the world.
Why we can not be considered the best(i for majority of last 6-7 years thought we are the best).
Why ppl support lame Barca so much(becoz’ of their “fantastic” football, f u, fooo, i’ll always hate them after today)
This club, board and it’s players try so hard to achieve it that we should’ve got 2-3 CL trophies already.
Lampard is the best, i don’t care what ppl think about Gerrard.
Terry is the best.
Essien is the best, i don’t care for that mistake of yours.
Drogba is the best.
…
Chelsea is the best.
This loss is not right, it’s very hard to take.
Anyways, i always hated ManU more than Liverpool sometimes, but this time i’ll support them like it’s Chelsea, so that they’ll have +1 die hard supporter for one single match against Barca.
Hope they get revenge for a fellow English team that was robbed of it’s CL final(and a possible CL trophy) and beat them like 5:0.
GL ManU.
We’ll get what we deserve in time… I’ll be one of the most happy ppl in this world after we’ll get it.
bluez for life.
I can’t believe this. I can’t help crying. Where is justice? Chelsea deserves a Champions League title, it surely deserves, why can’t they get it??! I’ve had enough of football – I don’t enjoy watching it. Stupid journalists praise clubs like Barca, but I hate this kind of glory. With such a big face. JT congratulated them – they wouldn’t have congratulated as if we had won. They bitterly defeated my beloved Bayern Munich and now they eliminated my beloved Chelsea with little luck and a lot of press interviews. Why?!
I was strangely calm after the fnal whistle…… asking myself
what if such blantant foul play was committed and allowed amidst my family, friends and work ?
If fairplay was so non-existant
If honor was discarded and defiled for the sake of advancement….
I am not naive……. I know these things exist aplenty in this vicious world…..
But I am more suprised when people say, ” it’s only a game” , It’s a cruel game” so on and so forth……
Because these so-called ” games ” that are not supposed to matter in the ‘ real ” world , really do matter….. to kids ….
The kids watching the game with me were in tears and I knew they had not just been heart-broken but scarred, yes scarred…..
I hope the kids realise that what happened last night is not the “right ” way to conduct themselves and go about their lives….
I had taped the game and showed them the bits where Barca players were celebrating …. and asked the kids …. do they look like theyare celelbrating whole-heartedly ?
in joy ?
the ref with a frightened face being hounded out of the patch ……..needing guards…..
I just hope the kids do not APE Barca and the ref and become “disgraces” to their families, families, and workmates…..
I dont want english clubs dominating…platini
i wont complain about the ref after the match -pep
read between the lines..
Fcuk the Norwegian Twat……………..we deserved the Finals moreso than that Worlds Dupposed Best Strike Force.
Proud to be a Blue.
UEFA DOESN’T WANT 2 ENGLISH CLUB PLAY AT ROME, BARCA AND MAN IS BETTER THAT WHY THEY PICK THE REFEREE FROM NORWAY? NOT FROM ITALY, SPAIN, FRANCE, GERMAN. FIRST REFEREE GIVE A RED CARD TO BARCA SO NO ONE WILL COMPLAIN WHAT HE WILL DO LATER ON SHAME ON UEFA
YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU DESERVE TO GET NEXT YEAR BLUE.
Yes,

we may be made some high big(in terms of money) transfers earlier,
we have a russian owner(but why can’t have him, he’s so pledged to club, that i like him so much),
but why a lot of people hate Abramovich?
why manchester united, real marid, barca, inter, a c milan and so on can use million of million to buy the player for them but when chelsea do, a lot of people complain, why tell me why please.
i cant believe it !!is there any refree in the field !!!beside the penalty that we never saw them (why i dont know )there were more red card for barca!!!nad i think barca’s hand ball team was in the match!eto’o trying to fly or catch the raned chicken ?well done guss u did a gr8 job u win the match but refree change it !well done drogba 4 yelling at refree:Pi do the same even worst if i were u !and mike FUCK U !!!!!!!!!
For the first time in my life i want MU to win the CL by 3 goals.Barca didnt deserve to be in FINAL.Why always something bad must happen to prevent us to win CL champions. When our time will come? This is not justice. Why all of the CHELSEA FANS must take a hearth attack.?
A GHOST GOAL—A FUCKING SLIP—-A FUCKING BLIND REFEREE.>>>>>When this things will be over.
I AM ALWAYS PROUD TO BE A CHELSEA FAN AND LETS HOPE FOR A DECADE OF CHELSEA SUCCESS AND GLORY.
The next generation of Chelsea will rise.
sorry for frank lampar, michael ballack, drogba, john terry and all the player that almost 30, they don’t have much time to get what they deserve to get.
go to uefa website and post a commen please, they done a good job to pick a stupid ref to stop chelsea. hope blue will be back next year
The ref has been pathetic, he was clearly blind as he missed the clear handball by Piqué. JoseHoliday, nice account on that meeting with Platini and Orebo, enjoyed it.
Still Drogba should have scored when he was given chances, and when he cannot, he just flings himself on the turf and complains…and the way he flung himself last night saw him getting injured as well, a real wuss if u ask me. Lampard looked in another world, not the same player he used to be some time ago, with his long shots on target. Barcelona didnt deserve to qualify, but its the mistake of Chelsea players, who else, who didnt capitalize with the chances, and the ref is a wuss as well no doubt on that.
Come on ManUre, skin these overhyped Barcelona players and do us a favor bring that cup back to england!
Im sooooo f—–in angry did Platini pay the guy off or what ??? This just stinks of foul play and the ref being swayed. That was our game we played them at the real game of football and they had nothing. Fair play they got their goal but how many pens should we have had?? The flick over by Anelka was so blatantly seen by the whole stadium I mean it just cannot be that he didnt give it. Im sooo sad and angry at the same time. Im PROUD to be Chelsea at this moment and I truly hope our boys will take heart and lift the FA cup for themselfs as a consolation. I love this club and we deserved to be there in the final again. Chelseqa I luv you till I die………
Forever
Jools
Why are we talking about the ‘missed chances’ and ‘finishing the game off’? These are independent of the poor refereeing decisions!!
why did they become ‘chances’? because we created them, we played, we played well.We had 7+ shots at the goal, it was robbery, blatant injustice, unfortunately it was not the first leg or group stages hence those decisions were monumental, we don’t have a second chance to prove ourselves, that hurts, it may take a while for us to pull ourselves up, we were never babies, we never will be, We just have to take it in our stride, we definitely wiil, We have gotten used to taking things in our stride, fighting against all odds. If we were beaten 3-0, hell, with their ‘Beautiful’ game we would stand up and applaud and support them for the finals(for obvious reasons), It was not a fair game & we just need to whine for a little while, that is all we are doing here.
Whats’ next for Chelsea? What’s next for Drogs? And Guus’s comments..after the game… Imagine a certain Rednose & Whinger after such a brutal game, Guus is the man, Total class. but a part of me misses Jose, he would have gone bersek!!! brings a smile imagining what he would have talked at a press conference after such a game, UEFA Ban? ‘I don’t care’ he would say :).. he would probably say that the referee was playing PS2 game after picking Barca as his side… Jose, would have calmed down Drogs for his display of emotions, only he could control Drogs..but, Guus did it too in all fairness to him.
my only gripe is..Guus didnt do anything after 92 mins to slow down the game with some sort of substitution..why Guus,..why? but that man is sheer class, he wanted to play a fair and tough game, didn’t want to resort to such tactics I guess..Kudos to the man, Absolute class Guus.
PS: And all those commentators and experts comparing Manure’s Fletcher’s behaviour after the red card vs Drogs… take a walk, I think Rednose would have been th one doing all intimidation of the referees.
Stop hating losers – the best team won!
maybe the better team because they have hit form this season, but not over the two legs
man utd will destroy barca no doubt, they will defend exactly how we did and attack in numbers
mike, im not taking the mic, but pick up a newspaper today, have a look through the sports section which will show freeze frames of 4 clear penalties
im not sure how you can hold this opinion especially when pique says he handballed, guardiola said his team were lucky and there is not a honest fan of football that will tell you barca played like the so called champions over the two legs
our so called anti football team kept them completely quiet in the first leg, yes they may have had 70% possession, did they get a goal with it? no
they came to stamford bridge and got schooled, we scored on the first possession and every time we sent a ball into the box, we were threatening, can you tell me that at one point in the game, barca actually looked like they had a clear chance? i dont think you can
fact is mike, you are entitled to your opinion, but you are wrong, the evidence points against you and you honestly need a think about it
man utd adopted the same tactics as us in their tie with barca and no-one slated them, and whats this, with a full team of defenders, barca gave away a penalty.
Replying to Mike:
hey Mike ; olo u !
@mike
even pep admits they were lucky…then who care about your comments…
Its looks like Chelsea fans want manu to win than their fans…
Come on manu ..dont beat Barca…rape them….5-0
F**cking disgrace indeed!! SHAME ON YOU REF!
guys UEFA didn’t want CHELSEA on the final…they didn’t want a repeat of the last final they wanted Barca in the final that’s all… We must have finish the game with a second goal we didn’t and now we are out of the final….next year again..!!!!!
I WILL WEAR A CHELSEA SHIRT AT ROME FINAL AND I WILL BACK MU FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE TO BEAT THOSE LUCKY BASTARDS BY 4 GOALS.
the final depends on who has more money to buy the referee. at least i know that on da 27th im gonna have a good nights sleep not giving a shit what goes on en roma. wembley, here we come!

I never thought I would ever feel the way I did after the horror in Moscow, but I guess I proved ma self wrong yesterday. I haven’t slept a min since and I can’t really erase the game from my head. I skipped school today and everything feels meaningless. How are you guys managing? I keep asking my self if it’s worth it to be a passionate supporter of CFC, because when things go bad it affects me to the degree that I can’t really think straight. Knowing what happened last year in the final I tried to prepare ma self if we didn’t go through. I tried to picture the different scenario which would lead to us failing to qualify for the final in Roma. But what happened yesterday, I couldn’t even in my wildest dream picture it. I was so uptight during the game that even after Essien scored I couldn’t calm down. I was telling my self we have to score a second. The longer the scored stayed 1-0, the nervier I got. Our best player let the team, himself and the fans down. Yea I am talking about DD. He did it in Moscow and he did it yesterday.
We can talk all day long about the ref, but the bottom line is we should have scored at least a second of all the chances we created.
How on earth could Essien miss to clear that one out? How hard is it to beat Valdes? Normally he is like fourth or fifth choice for Spain. We really made him look good. Why didn’t Anelka try to score or at least have a go for goal wit a shot? Shouldn’t they have known that the ref wasn’t going to give away any penalties? Why was DD so soft instead of blasting the ball into the net like he did to Liverpool last year?
I was mad at Guus for subbing DD, and put in Belleti, whom also had a chance to win it for us. Why cant lamp hit the target on free kicks? But I guess he did the right thing Guus. DD was not helping himself or the team.
Overall, am really proud to be Chelsea FC. We played well we defended superbly. We showed the world that we can adapt and adjust to what ever obstacles are thrown at us. We beat Euro powerhouse Juve, we beat the one of the strongest side in Europe (Liverpool) and now we actually outsmarted, outplayed the so called best team in the world.
I can’t find enough praises for our lads, especially JT, Ashley, lampsy, Ballack, Essien, Jose, Alex.
Malouda was awesome; he worked his socks of even helping out in defense. Cech didn’t do much thanks to our defense and their poor outside shots. Anelka worked hard but he needs to score for us. I am very disappointed with DD!!!
Finally, what Guus have done for this franchise is unbelievable. When I look back to the good ol days of Mr. clueless (lfs) and se how far we have came, it’s amazing.
He gave us the belief and something to cheer for. Thanks for that GH. As much as I want him to say, I am glad he is leaving to finish what he have started. I hope Russia qualify for the WC. They are a good team and I wish him and Russia the best.
Last but not least, thanks to BC, for this blog. Without it I would feel; “me against the world”. Now I feel like its US AGAINST THE WORLD!!!

Great post!!!
Last Night was even more painfull than Moscow last year, specially because I was watching the game live at the bridge and at the final whistle I was in tears. Just could not beleive what I saw, Drogba and Ballack had all the right in the world to confront that fucking sell out reff, I don’t think he would of given us a penalty even if Barca players had beaten our players up with baseball bats. What a shame for UEFA, how can they let something of this magnitude get away and instead plan on taking actions against Chelsea. The players acted that way because they were running high on passion and adrenaline and when decisions like that go against you all night long their is only so much you can take. I was furious at the bridge and now after watching replay’s im even more pissed off with that bold fat fuck of a reff, as Drogba said it was a disgrace, besides the penalties there were many occasions when the reff turned the blind eye on other fouls and that is just not acceptable. UEFA simply didnt want another english final and they acheived what they wanted, im just so hurt its unbearable, we should of had atleast 3 goals (with penalties) before Barca scored and because of that we were robbed of our glory. Barca were shit to be honest, they had one shot on goal, they had all the posession but we had all the fire power and we would of gone through easily had UEFA NOT FUCKED US OVER. In the final we would of beated UTD with a million pound garuntee because I know our players would of played the game with the heartache of last year but in a blink of an eye we were robbed of everything thanks to the unjustice of that sell out reff. I just can get over this, its killing me every second to see our dream shattered in such a disgraceful way. It is a FUCKING DISGRACE – UEFA ARE A FUCKING DISGRACE!!
The game last night was THE most awfull referee display I have ever seen, Chelsea was definitly robbed, I don’t know what FIFA should do, I think they should investigate the whole matter because it smells very bad.
That was awful. The worst performence from a referee ever. If he didnt go into that game with the intention of giving favouralbe decisions to Barca then Im a dutchman. And if that is the case then I hope that french twat Platini is happy, He succeeded in making the champions league a complete and utter farce.
They are going to ban Didier for him outburst? Well maybe they should take into account that he was right. IT WAS A F*CKING DISGRACE
How on earth can they let the man get away with that? He has quite simply CHEATED us out of a champions league final. Its almost like Platini has selected him to make sure we didnt get to Rome. I know alot of fans dont like conspiracy but come on if he wasnt against us on purpose then he must have been blind, deaf and incompetent.
remember this is the same ref who disallowed that italy goal in the euros against romania because some guy was in front lying down injured… i want his blood.
FUCKING DISGRACE!!
well done hiddink but for that substitution you made. even that, it should have been kalou and not balletti. drogba was terribble. in fact should the next season commence with didier drogba still in squad, i will count myself out of the honourable chelsea fc supporters spread across the globe. it is about time we get a striker with the calibre of kaka, zlatan, torres, adriano, raul, bernayoun, rooney. i mean serious strikers. we mean business. roman, thank you for how far you have brought chelsea and thank u for hiddink. i pray we dont miss him or essien. a big well done to essien and malouda. ballack and lampard were so exquisite as sweep the ball away. anelka should continue possessing the 10 position but he needs to be paired with the striker i talked about. god bless essien, god bless roman, god bless chelsea fc.
Chelsea are a great club. QPR are shit.

I love my club so much, we were robbed of the finals by a stupid, cheating, unfair moron of a ref. i feel like crying even now im typing this. I feel like someone ripped my heart from my chest. but im glad the world saw us out play barsum, and we were denied our penalties…even at the death with that ballack effort. but as u can see if he didint give that Pique penalty he would not have given and thing else. It is quite same to listen the reports against chelsea like that when they saw for themselves how we deserved to be in the finals… and because of that ref we will not be. and to lable the Drogba like that, I wonder if any of them have ever been cheated like that before?? I hate everyone except chelsea supporters only we know our pain. this is the only time in my life i will support manure to be that fcuking barca team. i saw fuck the all to hell.
BC i beg you to kick out anyone on this blog who want to kick us when we are down,
I want know why some fcuking people want to turn this around on drog…. the fcuking man fought so hard and got cheated!!
I think we paid the price because we can killer the game, drogba was unfocused, thats the real reason why we lost, we cant blame the referee because the referees is a human and always have a mistake we must be prepaid to face the mistake and erase with goals…..I`m very sad but its our blame…..
I have always said we are a hated club. We just can’t seem to win any sympathies no matter the circumstance. However what people forget is in their subconcious mind they all wish they were like us. They all wish they have Essien, Lampard, Terry Cech even Ivanovich in their team. Fellow Blues, to all our haters we represent what they can never have. How many people bitterly lambasted us for Roman, yet praise Man City’s new- found wealth. How many insulted us for buying expensive players yet praise Manure for their strength in depth. No one complains when the second most expensive player in British history sits on Manure’s bench. Pundits go on about lack of atmosphere at the Bridge yet when there is support they complain Blue flags were fixed on supporters to create atmosphere. Any neutral who watched the game last night knew who deserved to go through. For all their possession Barca were toothless. Even before a ball was kicked all pundits including all four on ESPN gave us no chance, apparently Barca would wipe the ground of the Nou Camp with us. Tell me Barca would not have had at least a penalty called for them if they were in our shoes last night. or Madrid, Milan or even Manure or Loserpool.
But you know in times like these i am proud i am Blue!. I don’t wanna talk about the referee, i only hope he can take a hard look at himself in the mirror in the morning.
Does it really even surprise anyone that it is the British public lambasting Drogba and Chelsea for their reaction? I just wonder how Alex ferguson would have reacted if it had been Manure
dear julio yes drog should have scored but had any of those penalty given we could have won 3-0 or 4-0 even with abidal on the pitch
Replying to MatBlue: Mat you are so right…. everyone is blaming drogba now…. i know if it was barca.. they would have gotten the penalty calls. but as i said before the world saw the ref (blind ref) call against us many times
im glad im blue!!!!!! ilove chelsea fc

I liked Chelsea’s mass defense philosophy and it almost worked untill Iniesta’s goal. Guus, is an accomplished tactician and Essien is briliant, that volley was not easy to execute. Here are my other observations:
I have read all the calls on the refree from Blues fan, but I still think that there is justice in football. In barcelona, the refree , a German should have awarded a clear penalty against Ballack, but he waved it. Most of us have the benefit of a TV replay but the refree has to decide on a split second if the player intentionally handled the ball or the ball hit the player. In each case, another refree would have given a penalty, but you also have to realise that he had brought out his fangs wrongly on Abidal. Refs are humans and not robots, sometimes they compensate for their decisions.
As much as I praise Guus, I think he should have replaced Ballack and kept Drogba. Chelsea should have got a straight win.
I need to address the issue of shots on goal. Theshots count was a relection on the determination of the Chelsea team as a whole to defend and boy they did it very well. Some neutrals feel that Guus should have allowed an open game, but tha is fantasy land. In Rome expect ManU to play fromChelsea’s songbok and Ronaldo or Rooney to nick a winner. The EPL teams are stronger at defending minus Arsenal of course.

was inside the 18yd box.
yes you are a hated club

I dont really feel we should pay any attention to this fool. His is just a racist idiot who doesnt know what hes talking about nor has anything better to do with his time. Let him rot in his hole because his ignorance does not need to be responded to.
I have to admit I didnt like us defending as much as we did in the first leg but being the first team to stop Barca scoring at home is an achievement and one to be proud of I guess. Confidentgoner, You can say yeah Ballack should have been sent off but sometimes you get the benefit of the doubt. Like when he didnt book Alves and Henry for all their play acting. You cant really say it evens itself out because not giving a red card does not justify failed to notice any one of 4 stone wall penalties. People are saying there is no conspiracy but if he didnt mean to make so many decisions against us then he is blind and incompetant and therefore should never have refereed this game in the first place. Unfortunetly though I dont think complaining to UEFA and FIFA will get us anything from this. They have already said they dont comment on refereeing decisions so theres nothing we can do really. The guy is out of the country now though and I hope for footballs sake that he never comes back.
Joe13,
Read my post.
Ballack’s foul on a Barca player was a yellow but was inside the 18yd box, which deserved a penalty and was not given. The barca players were incencsed with the refereeing of the first leg, just as Chelsea are incensed with the refreeing of the 2nd leg. Seems like a balance to me.
The most important thing I take from the match is the way chelsea defended. Some call it negative footy, but you I think it is strategy. You formulate and play the game according to your perception of your opponent. Even with that defensive playing pattern, Chelsea had the better oportunity in the 2 legs. That to me is incredible and reminds me of Italian catalania soccer whch had seen them so successful in the world cups.

We had plenty of chances to score. If you go for goal and get brought down in the box, or the defender handball’s, how the hell are you supposed to get the ball in the net? The referee should give a penalty in those situations. Chelsea would have easily have won 2-0, probaly 3-0, if the referee had done his job properly. Chelsea were denied the right to win by an evil/insane referee. Nothing more to to it.
Looks like Drogs and ballack are on the way out ?? I must pity Drogs man .. He is a emotional person and reacted.. what is the press all saying that he had an injury and was substituted and then came running back.. I thought hiddink sub him and he did not want to go off the pitch.
Hats off to the press, Instead of complaning about the referee, it is all about how chelsea did not control his players .. Graham Poll ..
Wish what would have happened if this result happened to Man U .. Fergie would be screaming at the referee ,worse than drogba. Imagine Rooney , Ronaldo and ferdinand ….
Shame on the press . My advice to Ancelloti next season is to garland the referee after such occassions and just walk off ..
Well we had a good run, there’s always next year.
i saw uefa cup ‘s semi final and i got really sorprised of what pizarro did i think he derserves another chance here .he has scored 27 gols wicht is importan and not only in germany and i know that some clubs want him so that but should give him another chance he couldn’t have many oportunities here but we shuld give more time to play…!!
Dear 13joe13 and denver,
The moron is so pathetic and he is squealing in pain because they are struggling and can never ever be like us, not even after aeons! This hard fact is too painful for Quagmire Pussy Reapers! Leave him alone in his Satanic realm!

dont hate us because your owner wont give you any of his money
bc, i would appreciate seeing this guy erased from the blog and blocked, racism as we recently discovered, is not tolerable
I forget the name of who brought it up, but had it of been Sir Alex Ferguson’s manchester united in our shoes last night, mark my words, he would of had a replay of the tie
everyone hates us, they hate our players unnecessarily regardless of their achievements
they hate our kit…understandably sometimes, lol
they hate everything we stand for, progress
the fact we’ve come in and established ourselves as a european elite force and upset the balance angers people, and they need someone to blame, we are a scapegoat team, all I ever hear is “lampard is a terrible player, gerrard is awesome” yet he scores 20 goals a season, does gerrard? eh neh, in fact, gerrard wanted to come to chelsea
“john terry is average” the captain of our country, even my copy of fifa 09 rates him over ferdinand
“ashley cole is rubbish since he left arsenal” thats why hes considered the best leftback in the world, still starts for his country unchallenged and neutralises attackers
there are so many of these, the world is out to destroy us
hold faith guys, because something is really going to change us this summer and the world will cower at what we bring
You chelsea fans are a joke…it’s as if you’ve never watched football in your life. Somehow the world got together and conspired against you sorry team and decided to not let you in the final. Completely disregarding the fact your coach decided to play defense for 2 games and was ok with the risk that Barca just might score 1 goal away eliminating your dreams. Well guess what you sore bunch of LOSERS…that’s what happened. Now live with it and go cry to your mama because the football world doesn’t care about your wussy attitude.
Absolutely spot on. I leave the final comment to didier drogba who clearly said what we were all feeling about this ref to the camera as he went off.

I just don’t understand why Ballack wasn’t acting like an idiot chasing the ref around in minute 8:35 when the ball bounced of Abidal’s arm in the box…oooh now I get it!!! it’s because it bounced right into the foot of Essien and then into the back of the net. If Chelsea was robbed why didn’t you demand and cry about the ref not stoping play and pointing to the spot???
because if a goal follows the ref doesn’t give a penalty………….you barca glory fans don’t stop creeping out of the woodwork do you?
Replying to Visca Barca:
until now i used to think Barca plays wonderful football, but now i know their secret why they win. they buy refs. Barca club is a fucking disgrace in footballing history.
Visca Barca
interesting how your glorious team had to use 3 goal keepers other than valdes to keep you in the game
fact is, by keeping you quiet at camp nou, barca is now frustrated, chelsea has a confidence boost, and they play the return leg at their home in front of their fans where they may not of had as much of the ball as they liked but they actually did something with it
barca completed one pass in chelsea’s area last night and that was to messi who laid it off to iniesta in the 93rd minute
you cannot say the ref was good because abidal was unjustly sent off
and you have to say, it is very suspicious the way the match went, I have never seen anything like it
had chelsea of won, all barca would scream is that we are a dirty anti-football team
fact is barca were outplayed and out-thought by chelsea and now they take their broken team to the final to be battered by man utd
Why didn’t Chelsea take any of their chances?
I don’t get it.
Blaming the ref is a cheap and understandable excuse though.
Sorry for interrupting your whinging.
Ballack/Terry/Lampard/Drogba…. these players deserved to touch The Champions League Glory.I can fully understand Ballack/Drogba actions against that fucking referee.
BUT OUR TIME TO WIN THE CL WILL COME
Eason….given 4 penalties ,do u think any team will miss all the chancnes

The most important thing I take from the match is the way chelsea defended. Some call it negative footy, but you I think it is strategy. You formulate and play the game according to your perception of your opponent. Even with that defensive playing pattern, Chelsea had the better oportunity in the 2 legs. That to me is incredible and reminds me of Italian catalania soccer whch had seen them so successful in the world cups.
I didnt say it wasnt a red card. I believe its you who needs to read my post because you clearly didnt take in anything I said. My point is that 1 wrong decision does not equal a CATALOGUE of errors. 4 penalty appeals turned down. Read what the players said. All of them know they were robbed and most of us know it aswell. I suppose its easy to say what you did because your not a chelsea fan but………..
Why didn’t Chelsea take any of their chances?
I don’t get it.
Blaming the ref is a cheap and understandable excuse though.
Sorry for interrupting your whinging.
Eamon. What exactly is the point of your comment? You dont even have the bottle to say which team you support welll McFergie would have slaughtered the referee and if some of those decisions had been given against Liverpool then their fans would have proberbly ran onto the pitch and attacked the ref. I wish BC would just ban ignorant fools like yourself
