It’s that time of the year again. Champions league night at Anfield. When the draw was made, one thing I was hoping for was a second leg game at Stamford Bridge. My hope is that we would get a draw, preferably a goal draw at Anfield. I guess that would be a great result to take back to London. But matches at Anfield do suck big time. They tend to get unjustifiably lucky at Anfield. I’ll be pissed if they get another one of those 98th minute penalties.
The club website reminds: “Chelsea haven’t won an away game in European competition for over 16 months ago while Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield in 10 European games.” That sounds a bit scary but what is hidden there is the face Chelsea have certainly drawn away matches in the last 16 months. And Liverpool have been held at Anfield in the last 10 European games. That’s all I need. A draw, a goal draw at Anfield. 1-1 is my score.
Good news around for Chelsea. Didier Drogba is back. He’s so important for the big games, especially the champions league games, especially the ones against Liverpool. He’s got this knack of pissing off the scousers. He loves playing against them and scoring against them. It would be great to see him score a brace tomorrow night and make his crazy celebrations to annoy the hell out of Benitez.
We’ve got a very capable team to reach the semi finals. See the choices for Hiddink. Cech in goal. Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, Terry, Alex, Lampard, Mikel, Essien, Malouda, Kalou and Drogba. And probably, Quaresma for 30 mins . . just kidding. I know he’s cup tied :-) There is still no news about Carvalho yet. Would be great to see him walk into the pitch tomorrow night. Hiddink did indicate that he wants an away goal and he does want us to sit back. Well, that’s the popular thing to say ahead of a crucial away game of the champions league quarterfinals. I think we must play 4-3-3.
Liverpool are only missing Mascherano due to suspension. For two reasons, I’m happy. One, he is a good player and two, I just can’t stand the sight of him. There are very few players that I hate as much as Mascherano. I’m surprised that Gerrard has not picked up his customary injury ahead of this match just put minds in doubt only to reappear on matchday night. He does that all matches against Chelsea. Cheap mind games.
I must admit Liverpool are a different animal now. They now attack. They are not the tactical machine. Nowadays, they attack from the word ‘go’ and they are reaping rewards. They create loads of chances. They have Torres and Gerrard to finish some of them. What’s worrisome about their attack is the pace at which they hit teams. They are always fit and pacy. It will be interesting to see if Rafa allows Liverpool to play the same game against Chelsea. They had some fantastic big results against Real Madrid, Man Utd and Aston Villa. But Chelsea are a different animal too. We have a strong midfield, world class defence and one of Europe’s best keepers.
I can’t wait for this match. This is my script. 15th min. Gerrard sent off for diving. 20th min. Drogba scores, one nil to Chelsea. 25th min. Torres red carded for offside. 30th min. Super Frank belts one in, two nil to Chelsea. 40th min. Terry handball. No penalty. 45th min. Carragher handball. Penalty to Chelsea. Super Frank scores again. Three nil to Chelsea. Zero added minutes. 3-0 at half time.
Rafa hits the referee in the half time and gets sent off to the stands. Local police alerted. Gerrard absconds.
Second half. The whole Liverpool team is yellow carded for arriving in late. 55th min. Di Santo comes in and scores with his first touch. Four nil to Chelsea. 75th min. Xavi Alonso scores an own goal. Five nil to Chelsea. 90th min. Goal kick by Cech straight into Reina’s net. Six nil to Chelsea. Zero added minutes. After final whistle, Liverpool players surround the referee and all of them get their second yellow.
Peace.

Its funny bc…
Its 2-2
Manu holds porto on..!
(yeah , i wrote it correct)
just count the no of goals they conceded in the last few games….

Sent on a phone using T9space.com
Porto s front three looks too handy for manu…especially that hulk,he was incredible..created a hell lot of problems for the united defence…i just gets a feeling that we will win the pool game…2 -1
Drogba and Essien/florent(yeah..the same malouda)

i must say, after liverpool thrashed manures last time, this was the first team who made it look as if scoring against manures is child´s play. Porto are too fast and too furious, and their counter attacking is one of the best i´ve seen recently.
I’ll predict a 1-0 away win for chelsea. Gerrard own goal… I remember his own goal about 3 years ago against us in the carling cup final…. I hope gerrard will do it again.
PS: Mourinho is coming back to chelsea in the summer. Daily Mail
with macherano out, i think we are about to make history
rafa is going to want to release gerrard but subdue lampard and essien so he’ll probably play lucas leiva and xabi alonso in midfield and give gerrard the left flank, probably with torres on the same side
true say bc, liverpool’s front 6 have learnt to run, to pass quickly and run quickly, im hoping we track the movement, i can visualise mikel making a killer interception and pass to drogba who scores, away goals are crucial, i don’t want to lose, but id be very happy to draw 5-5 knowing about the huge away goal advantage we’d have
4-3-3 is the only formation we should think of playing, a diamond formation or even 4-2-2-2 will leave enough space in the centre to be taken over which is where we need to control most
one thing we need to do in this game is assert dominance, let liverpool run stupidly, outmuscle them, outpass them, outplay them
mascherano out changes alot, liverpool don’t have another player like that and rafa would not put gerrard in defensive midfield i think we can steal a 2-1 victory
id be oh so very happy to see mourinho, BUT for some reason, i now have reservations of the idea
LOL BC, what a nightmare for liverpool. GO BLUES
This was the one draw I did not want but I still believe was Rafa stated.. He said this game is 50 – 50. a 1-1 game would be a good result for sure.
Interesting champions league evening. I was surprised of Villarreal’s great first half, but arsenal dominated in the second and can be happy they were only down 1-0 at halftime. A fair 1-1 draw.
United seem to have lost their swagger. Porto seemed to have played well (from the highlights). But I wouldn’t count united off.
José Bosingwa will miss out due to a hamstring strain.
http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~1616166,00.html
Am starting to feel the heat, Liverpool was the team I feared the most before the quarterfinal draw, but to go to the promise land we have to beat them and so we shall, come on Chelsea
/k
I will be optimistic so long as we don’t start Anelka out wide. Leave him on the bench and start Malouda with Kalou on the other side. The width is crucial if we want to get anything here.
without maschareno liverpool are a completely different beast. leiva will get his arse handed to him by essien and alonso wont be able to cope with ballack and lampard. Still liverpool have torres and gerrard and they make shit happen. i predict a 1-1 both goals from set pieces
Some of my scatterbrained thougts
If Chelsea can hold out for the first 20 min ( usually we’re slow to rev it up ) we have a good chance.
With Mascherano out Chelsea can go 2 routes aerial and passing and that means Gerrand can go flying around all the time
With their fans demanding a Real Madrid type slaying of Chelsea and a Attacking game for 90 mins the counters are gonna be nice.
Also I hope Essien can power himself into the heart of the Liverpool defence and cause pandeminum. That will be important. We sure will need him to be at his best. If I remember correctly , the last 3-4 games with Liverpool were without the “BISON”
It will be interesting if Quresma is unleashed against his countrymen in red jerseys.
I think if the Bison, Quresma , Drogs and maybe Anelka/ Santo/ Kalou can threaten enough or at least get one goal we’ll be thui to the semis !
BTW where’s Joe Cole ?
r u the real joseholiday?quaresma is cuptied and joecole is out injured for the season.
First of all, thank you BC for the jocular script! You started my day on a jovial mood, thank you once again. I hope as much as it is funny, it would be a real script for tomorrow.
On a serious note, i foresee a very tough game but feels that we will draw them at 2! It would obviously lovely if we could draw at 3 or more, but the teams being equally strong, we should be satisfied at 2 each. 1:1 could be probable too.
My team selection is:
Cech; Ivanovic (if Bosingwa is injured), Alex (if Riccy is injured), Terry, A Cole; Essien, Mikel; Lampard, Ballack, Kalou; Drogba.
Subs: Hilario, Belletti, Malouda, Anelka, Di Santo.
Scorers: I hope Kalou will net one, he always scores important goals for us. And the second goal could be a Lampard free kick! If we are to win then i think Drogba will score the third.
I hope we’ll go out and attack and play with the same attitude as Porto did in their brilliant game against manure. Porto really exposed manures many weaknesses. Walking away from tonights game with a 2-2 would be our pass to the semis. Essien is key player tonight.
How do u feel before the match everyone :
1. Frightened
2. Apprehensive
3. Hopeful
4. Confident
5. Uber-confident
6. Nonchalant
7. Prayerful
8. Fearful
9. Fearful but ready for anything
10. Already one hand on the CL and spitting ticker-tape out of your mouth
The only thing running in my head right now “is would Jose come back at the end of this season?” Reports suggest there is suddenly a very high probability.
As for today´s game, we need to slow down liverpool. Not play pacy game, simply because we don´t have pacy players and we can´t compete them in terms of pace. We need to play a sort of counter attacking game, tactical and defensive. i may sound paranoid, but i´ve a feeling that we we´d win 0-2 against them tonight lampsy and ballack scoring them in 3rd and 29th minutes.
LOL..
Loved the script BC…!…something right out of any Chelsea fan’s mind!!
Btw…where is Ballack in your first team selection???
C’MOOOOOOOOOON BLUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES.
ivanovic is a more dilligent defender than ivanovic but bosingwa adds alot to attack, we should be careful going foward but should we be wary of being reserved
tonight our striker and wingers need to be as aggressive as possible, i want them to use tricks on defenders, i want us to force them to make bad decision, liverpool have to go 4-4-1-1, rafa is scared, he is not confident because he knows his tactics don’t work against english teams generally
we are a defensive team, our players all add to defence, clearing balls of the line, outmuscling the biggest players, swatting aside attack is what we do, so why should liverpool, the team who can’t win the premiership, the team that is successfully written off season after season, be any different?
i want liverpool taken apart tonight and hiddink is the man to do it, go blues!
————–Cech————-
-Ivanovic -Alex -Terry -A Cole-
-Essien -Lampard -Ballack-

Great Script BC, if it is a Movie, it will be an Oscar winning one. :p
I’m so hyped up now and I’m giving up sleep for it, the matched will be aired 3AM (M’sia time). I said this before and I will said it again, “If there is a team that can give a real tight slap to L’pool right now it will only be CHELSEA and none other.” Let’s paint Anfield BLUE!!!!!
- KTBFFH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The lights are on, the stage is set, its Chelsea vs Liverpool, its the big one baby, feels like were playing the final, there is so much hype going into this match, but the outcome will most likely be the same as it has been the past 22 times lol, quite tense and boring. Why you may ask, well reason being is Chelsea and Liverpool are denfensive teams, the first 20 – 30 mins the teams like to feel each other out (no homo) and then finally go at it with limited breaks on each side and the goals usually come from set peices. To be honest as the time comes closer im getting even more tensed. If Chelsea were to go and play this game the same way Porto did last night against UTD then hands down we will win this game something like 2-0 but fact remains we dont have pace and that fire and hunger in our team as of late!! Bosingwa misses out this match with a hamstring, in a way its a blessing is disguise because lets face it as good as his forward runs and crosses are most of the time, his defending is equally poor, so Ivano stabalises the situation a little bit. Our defense need to play their A game tonight because we all know what Liverpool are capable of as of late. I just hope we dont come out of this match something like 2-0 down because that will put immense pressure on us in the second leg. A 1-0 win or a 1-1 draw suits most of us, hopefully our dear blues will not bend over in this match as they did under Scolari and teach Liverpool a good lesson. Go You Blues!!!!
Can’t wait to see the game
A few things to mention
Malouda must not start. Anelka must be benched. Ivanovic should play as a right back ahead of Essien and Mancienne. Guus must not waste Essien’s strengths playing him as a right back. Ballack has to play. Give Lampard a free role to express himself and to make those runs tirelessly to the box. Drogba has to be on his own. Kalou must play on the left as a winger. Mikel has to do man-marking on Gerrard. Carvalho has to start if he can walk ahead of Alex. Cech must be on top of his game.
1-0 to Chelsea
—————————————–Cech—————————————–
——-Ivanovic———–Carvalho————–Terry—————-A.Cole——
——————————Mikel—————–Ballack————————–
——————Essien————-Lampard—————–Kalou—————
—————————————-Drogba————————————–
I think Guus will play his favourite away tactics – “all in the middle” and dont’t get rid of the ball too quickly. So it could look like this:
—————–Cech——————
Ivanovic–Carvalho—Terry–A Cole
——–Mikel———–Essien———
–Kalou——-Ballack——Lamps—-
—————-Drogs——————
What we really have to be aware of, that is the pace of Liverpool counterattacks. I think Guus is pretty concious about it. So he will try to dominate the midfield and not allow opponent to make up too many attacks during the game. If this work, we should be able to open their defense as well, if they start being nervous and so. But we simply have to be active and control the game – otherwise the pace and combination ability of Liverpool will kill us.
Lol BC, that’d be the ultimate now wouldn’t it ?? Would love to see that happen.
I think Guus will know how good Gerrard and Torres are combining and now that Makelele has left us, Mikel Alone can NOT take on both Torres and Gerrard. Im Guessing the ideal formation would be so:
—————————–Cech———————————–
–Ivanovic———-Terry———-Alex/Riccy———A.Cole—
——————-Essien———Mikel—————————–
—————————-Ballack———————————
——————-Lampard—————————————-
————————Drogba—–Anelka————————
It will neutralize the Liverpool attacks if both Essien and Mikel take control of the holding role a bit. When we attack, Essien can join in the move, sending Ballack a bit further back at times and vice versa from time to time. If we play with our hearts and souls and can contain them and stop their pacy counter-attacks, we can come back with something good to play for at the Bridge. I say 2-0 to Chelsea (only because I’m feeling positive) with Drogba and Lampard on the scoresheet.
KTBFFH!
CHelsea will win 0 – 1 period .
its goin 2 be 1-1
Next Season Line Up:The best I can think of
Cech
Bosingwa—Terry—-Carvalho—-Zhirkov
Essien
Ben Arfa—-Lampard—Sinclair
Tevez——Sahar
Sub:Stoch, Mikel,Di Santo,Kakuta,A.Cole,Mancienne,Ivanovic,Taylor.
Pacy, Strong Defence, Swift dribbling midfield and an excellent goalscoring forwards.
Hopefully, lets get Kakuta involved in more of FA, league cup and in Premier league after his injury.Greatest prospect in our team.
Chelsea 2-0 liverpool today.Cheers all of ya and also be patient no heart attacks until it is over and even if things don’t work out, fine
Jehovah knows best.
todays starting line up is
Cech, Ivanovic, A Cole, Terry, Alex, Essien, Lampard, Ballack, Kalou, Malouda, Drogba.
yyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! chelsea won 3-1 come on
GREAT WIN….. GREAT NIGHT…. BLUE is ALWAYS the COLOUR!!!!
Ivanovic should be the Headlines…. Guus did his magic during HT. Our CL Revenge is done…. KTBFFH….very high tonight…
Amazin….I knew ivanovic was gr8,,,,
Liverpool r dead and gone
I predicted 2-2, but a 3-1 win will do nicely. Fantastic match, best in a long long long time. Ivanovic finally shines. Essien rock solid as usual, in fact everybody was fantastic. Guus has really reignited the real Chelsea. Can’t wait till tuesday next week, let’s demolish them completely.
..I been to hell and back=)
what a great start for liverpool, but after that all chelsea, and we could/should have scored more….
JT will miss the next game, but Ricky seem to be on his way back.
am happy but I wont get carried away cause anything can happen and we have still a touch one up before we reach the promise land. Everyone was writin us off…whos having the last laught now ******!
aite have great great evening/night
/K
The CL most entertaining game and we must focus on Messi and Olimpico stadium.
wat a game,,, they did the double over us ,, we shut their bloodddy mouth and pritty much every pundits in UK, for goin on and on about liverpoool, maaaaaaaaaan, did anyone notice malouda,,, lol, seeems like some one gave him some drugs, every single player deserves credit, its job done. barca be afraid, here we comes …
well, it was worth to bunk office for watching the match. Liverpool is gone.
GUUS, job in head. We should start looking to shutdown Messi.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
what i liked about todays game was the tactics. to be loserpool, you need to play wide with the wings and GH got it spot on with albeit half-performers in Kalou and Malouda and they sure did put the pressure on them.
then the defensive organisation at the back was splendid. everything they threw at us was neutralised and GH is a fantastic coach not only in tactics but motivating the players. LFS nearly made one curse the creation of football..lacking management abilities, tactics and of course cannot motivate.
lets not get carried away. forget about the 2nd leg for now and lets think of the next match on saturday……
Keep the Blue Flag flying higher and higher
hahahahhahah I’m so damned ecstatic! I never thought I’d witness another bonfire at Anfield in my lifetime.
@bc
Its better than your script son…it could have been 7-1..how good ivanovic is ..not just score those goals …he was rocksolid at the back…Essien absolutely shut Gerrard…
Drogba presented 2 on a plate opportunities..
Both wasted..Anelka would have finished it…but if Anelka had played instead of Drogba this might not have been the result…thats where Drogba s worth is…

Chelsea silence Anfield!! What a win, I’m in the best mood ever! Credit for the boys in blue for sticking to their game after going a goal down, they put on a fantastic reaction. I’m ecstatic!!! BLUE IS THE COLOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BC, you almost got the score line correct. The man that made the difference is Hiddink.
liverpool got owned?
you don’t like masch? he’s the best DM in the world, fucking ignorant inbred islander.
i think ivanovic has secured his place as a starter…
IVANOVIC SHOULD PLAY EVERY GAME!
I knew guus would come up wit something special, just like he did for russia agains holland in the EURO2008. But Liverpools recent play have been impressive and we havent really played superb. and now this… credit to GUUS, Ivanovic and the rest of the lads.
Drogba was wasteful, but on a day like this.. we will forgive u.
IVANOVICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC!!!
YEAHHH CHELSEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chelsea vs Barcelona *-) ???????
BC Wheres ur match recap. I’m waiting for it. Do u still ailve man.
typo from earlier, i meant bosingwa adds more in attack than ivanovic…well….hard to argue after today but the goals and play are different
im ecstatic
i predicted 1-1 or 1-2 so with a 1 -3 im so happy, 3 away goals…at anfield, who thought it?
every goal liverpool has scored against us this season has either been a wonder goal or due to a huge mistake
so justice has finally been done, we have taken their record, pride, and the semi final spot, go blues!!!!
points on the game, i was very happy with the team selection, guus avoided the temptation to play two strikers and mikel and it paid off
our defending was perfect and id like to take this moment to commend alex for the challenge he made to the torres goal which came out of nowhere, not many defenders would even bother trying to make that kind of block
ivanovic, wow, just wow, he played so well, i cant say he’s my first choice but now i see what he does i have a sudden confidence boost
he was absolutely solid at the back even at awkward moments
we closed down the spaces very well today, we kept shape at the back
zaneeb raised two very good points
drogba wasted sitters, you could tell he wanted a goal but we grew so impatient, especially after he missed the first sitter, never go straight at the keeper, im pretty sure that is the basic attack rule of a striker
but he contributed so much more than just shooting so he redeemed himself in that respect, i particularly liked his movement, did anyone see that drogba had at least two defenders behind him for all of his chances and the other two had no idea where he was?
a problem i did detect today was a communication issue with lampard and drogba, i think it was because of a tactical change from hiddink
but i notice drogba and lampard seemed to be in eachother’s pockets alot, occupying one space instead of two and when they were separated, seemed to have no idea where the other one was, this is slightly worrying considering those two are the spine of our attack
last year at anfield, dirk kuyt scored when lampard dawdled near his own goal, this time, it very nearly happened again, simple mistake, could of cost us dearly, other than that, faultless play, yes that includes alex but not terry
for all the effort jt made, he decided to rush into reina, i dont know if he thought reina would parry it, but it looked like pure misjudgement from our captain, not handy but carvahlo looks set to return so im not too worried
our next game will probably feature mikel and anelka in place of essien and drogba to switch things up and rest them, we shouldn’t worry too much, liverpool need a 3-0 win now, they can’t get that so as oh my blue says, we should concentrate on stopping messi, i shouldnt say this but even now they are without ronaldinho, i don’t think even we, can stop barca
pluses to take out of this game, chelsea are a capable squad regardless of age, our bench looks strong again, we feel invincible again, scolari is tactically inept as opposed to hiddink, drogba is back, ballack is improving, liverpool has not changed
theres more i want to get out, i need to rant
after all the fuss that was made, all the proof that was given, benitez stuck to his zonal marking and it undead them like it always has, 2 goals, one defender, pure humiliation
im also laughing because avram grant seems to get very vocal every time we achieve something, he tried to get torres, kaka and ribery at the bridge? what next, benayoun is his son? he scouted ronaldo personally? jokes
i dont know why critics write us off so quickly, but they always do it and we always prove them wrong
i said earlier it is interesting how bookies are saying the odds favour man utd and chelsea to be in rome, at this moment in time, i can’t visualise either but i’d love it to happen so we can show those mancs who the real boss is
This was the most fun Chelsea game to watch in nearly a year. (and the best part was watching in a Pub full of Liverpool fans)! Oh how they danced and taunted me after the 6th min. Then… we put 3 down thier throat at Anfield as they sat there with thier hands in thier heads.
What a day to be a Blues fan!
CAAAAAAAARE FREE Where ever we may be!
That was an amazing win, great goals by Ivanovic, I think bosingwa isn’t going to start when he recovers. Pepe looked pissed after that third goal. Chelsea #1!!!!!!
..I gotta say this.. I know barca are lookin superb, but chelsea is not bayern. They lost their last demostic game 5-1. so am not surprised plus klose didnt play. lets finish of the scousers and then lets show we will show barca and the world what the blue army is all about!!!
yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Revenge is a dish best served cold, and it was a fucking cold serving.
I was shocked that Guus played my custum made formation in Fifa 09 today with 4-1-2(wide)-2-1, and it seems it works not only in my PC but in pitch as well! I still can´t believe that we played so well, with so much aggression, with so much passion, and hats off to tonight´s hero Ivanovic, he´s got a fucking great head!!!
wow 1-3 at Anfield, and that too when they were at their top form! Who´s the daddy Benetiz? Guss is.
Ktbffh
What a great result. What all the commentators missed was the point that both teams played well but – we finally played to our ability and that was enough. Surely though the essien gerrard battle was desicive??? and given drog wasnt at his sharpest it shows the spirit in the team and the impact that gus has made

Should anyone ever question Ivanovic’s quality, let them be reminded today of his absolutely stunning performance…
I hope he starts from now on, if nothing else a rotation going.
Can’t wait till next game at the Bridge.

Hahaha u’re so hilarious dude.. anyway Bane is our next hero.. hopefully he’ll stay in Chelsea thruout the years..
57 chelsea absolutely mauled liverpool in terms of quality possession. We dominated the midfield by quite a margin. Chelsea was very lucky that maschareno wasnt playing today since lucas isnt half the player he is, last year maschareno was the biggest problem for chelsea cause he broke up play in midfield and slowed the game down to a halt. Chelsea could have been 4 or 5 goals up if drogba wasnt as wasteful. Malouda i have to say has really stepped up these last couple of games.
Who does Chelsea get next guys ?
Replying to JoseHoliday: we still have the second leg at SB. then hopefully we can nuke barca. all this talk about barca..they are doing great but they still havent played a great side like chelsea…
/K
guys am happy JT got the yellow today. I dont think his challange was maliciously enought for a card but am glad he got it now. We really need him for the semi-finals if we take care of business in the second leg. its awesome to take 1-3 lead back wit us to SB. hopefully Ricky can stay healthy and be the general we will need next week. and am all confident he will.
:)
Barca Oh that is just perfect ! What a prospect ! and as underdogs again ! that will be excellent !
Messi & Co. Here we come . and guys Barca aint that good defending against set pieces either. And probably Chelsea are probably the only team in the world that they fear !
Brilliant it was last night . Totally ! and if Drogs gets his shooting boots on at the Nou Camp it will be orgasmic !
(Please BC just include your usual pictures)Well, all said and done…first I congratulate Guss for a good job,cos when a team fail is the coach that fails..Then Ivanovich for seeing us through, that is why is the captain of serbia.I hope Ricado Gavalho will be fit for next game, cos I am not a fan of Alex..Hope we qualify next week, cheers guys…..
Sourced from http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2009/04/09/carlo-ancelotti-set-to-take-over-at-chelsea-this-summer-115875-21264630/
Why him. I want the EPL ?? AC milan has just one the schudeto once in 7 years..
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Carlo Ancelotti appeared set to become the next full-time manager of Chelsea last night after claims he had agreed a three-year deal to take charge at Stamford Bridge.
According to sources close to the AC Milan boss, Ancelotti has told Roman Abramovich he is ready to leave the San Siro for SW6 in the summer.
Under the terms of the outline deal, Ancelotti will receive £5.8million per year before bonuses.
Chelsea were remaining tightlipped last night but the news from Italy signals that Abramovich has completed his mission of attracting his prime target to become Chelsea’s sixth manager in five years.
As Mirror Sport revealed when Luis Felipe Scolari was sacked in February, Ancelotti was always Abramovich’s preferred choice, even though the Italian had turned Cheslea down last summer.
Abramovich promised Guus Hiddink when he took temporary charge that it was only until he could find a permanent replacement and has spent the past two months seeking to persuade Ancelotti to leave Milan.
Real Madrid were also keen on bringing Ancelotti to the Bernabeu, with likely next President Florentino Perez flying to Geneva last month in a bid to entice him aboard.
But Ancelotti declined the offer, with Real briefing they had been told the Italian had set his mind on a move to England after eight years at the Milan helm, which included Champions League success in 2007.
And the news from Italy last night suggests that Chelsea have now got the man who has the track record of success and club experience that a dressing room still haunted by the ghost of Jose Mourinho needed.
30 | heyjose ………wow, you picked up the exact 11!
65 | JoseHoliday ……..”Brilliant it was last night . Totally ! and if Drogs gets his shooting boots on at the Nou Camp it will be orgasmic!”……i like your last word in this sentence; it best describes me presently!
And BC, credit goes to your lovely script too, it had given a psychological boost to us and our heroes.
I got this one correct: If we are to win then i think Drogba will score the third.
I am glad that Terry got a yellow, because we would need him more in the semis than this Tuesday! I even doubt if he had done it intentionally to get the yellow. It was such a lovely game that i was blasting the volume of my TV at 3 a.m. …….. i have disturbed my 5 months old daughter’s sleep apart from other elder family members…but i loved the moment so much that i got late to office by watching the reply for 30 minutes! And i will watch it again if it gets aired later on.
Kudos to Ivanovic, a lovely surprise package delivered at the right place! Priceless brace for you, for us! HURRAY!!!
Well, we dont need to worry at all about JT’s yellow card, even if Carvalho is not back,,, we got Ivanovich, who is a CB, and with confidence high sky, we have enough cover, all we need to make sure is players get some rest and no one gets injured, Next up is bolton, which is a completely different ball game till now, but not anymore. I still have a sneaky feeling that both looserpool and MUppetUTD will drop points and we can pounce on that. DO anyone else smells a treble ?????? Usually teams come up and frustrate us and the biggest mistake liverpool did, they came out and attacked us, which is like digging thier own grave. barca will attack and esp second leg being at home, we have great chance of going through. Stevie whoo ??????????????????? whose the daddy nowwwwwww ,, lol
astounding how Mr. Roman Abramovich never learns! He opted for one non-English speaking coach to axe him mid-season and then opts to go for one Carlo Ancelotti? Not too sure about this choice here, but maybe he’ll bring Kaka with him to soften the blow..
Guss must make it 2:0 at Bridge with players like Stoch and Di santo,we can beat liverpool even with our U21.
@Bc… come on….put your post in…it is 25th time i am visiting after the game for your post…may be you are searching for words to describe our performance..
@vinton lindo…
Even if kaka comes i dont want ancelotti…it should be Guus or jose…..

I hope that Mourinho and Corvino were watching the game.He should leave Chelsea in June. These 2 goals were good to pump up his price and the interest in him.He scores for Serbian team more often than our strikers, he is great defensively and it took you so long to realize his quality?
Anyway after this match I do not think anything will change for Bane, and thats why I think that he should leave. Bosingwa, defender who can not defend to save his life, has an advantage over him. The same goes for brainless Alex and authoritative Terry and Carvalho.
Anyway congrats on the win.
Guys, watched a repeat of a match involving CSKA Moscow. And oh my God, I just thank God, we are linked to 2 of their players.
1.Damn, what on earth is a player like Zhirkov doing in Russia by now.His pace and trickery is too much for a left wing back who
can also play as a winger.Just extra ordinary, if we get him(of which i am sure of) he would really boost our attack and defense
much better than Ashley who now, is getting poorer each day.Commentator says he would cost up to 15 million to us.Cheap price
get him Abramovich please.
2.Alan Dzagoev:WOw, what a talent.I’m beginning to feel Russia is now producing supertalents in Arshavin, Zhirkov etc.Alan
an attacking midfielder who can also play on the wings. He is 19, pacy and a goal scoring winger just like Ronaldo.Sad story, if he
gets into our team, what will happen to Sinclair, our most special and greatest wing prospect and also Stoch.
I believe this is true.In the summer, lets hook them up into the team.
Villa story I wouldn’t believe. How many times has Villa said he wouldn’t leave Valencia.
‘Ancelotti “bullshit”.Sory for the term but this is ridiculous.Extend Guus contract rather for at least one more season Abramovich please
for God’s sake.
