Am I the only person who thinks we lost to sign Giovinco .. I don’t know why Juventus sold him . Now he will play for 2 years in Arsenal and commanding a 30 MM euros

Tomorrow match, I think a 1-0 win would be good as we have players coming from duty and an emotional alan shearer at Newcastle.

drogbas footinjury dont seem to be that bad, I think he will be fine for liverpools game. Replying to bookcengham: I wish we could do that as well, but I dont se that happening though. jt lampsy ashley and ballack havent really have had any rest at all.

Sad. Drogba won’t be in the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Newcastle. Hope he is okay on Wed night against Lpool. Bosi is injured.

I would give a rest to my important players like Lamps, Terry, A.Cole, Ballack….. We have such an important game coming up next week so it should be fair enough to rest the players who deserve it.

and Ballack..I saw the highlights of both Germany games..he was brilliant..I dont know but i get a feeling he’ll be crucial against liverpool..

Ashley Cole was decent against Ukraine. I would say the whole team played poorly in the second half. I wouldn’t single out Ashley as being that bad. The fact is he couldn’t burst forward as he would have liked to due to the cover up he had to do for right footed Gerrard. I would say Glen Johnson was very poor on the other side. Despite controlling the game they couldn’t kill of the game and that almost cost England 2 points, hadn’t been for JT´s winner. I think Rooney was the star man, and I consider him England´s Most valuable player, so in order for England to go far in the WC he needs to stay fit and healthy.

Ballack is a great player, but that’s why we expect him to show his greatness on a weekly basis. He may not be playing in his favorite position, and that probable stopping him from shining the way playing a holding midfielder is doing for lampsy, but we cant really excuse him for his sloppy and nonchalant play he have displayed recently for Chelsea. Its not only the fact that he is not scoring but dude be giving away the ball every other time. Now that he´s got his Ballackish confident back hopefully his best of the season is still to come in this crunch time we are in.
As for JT, well opposing fans can say what they want, the bottom line is if they would have a chance to get JT they would kill to have him, for his leadership and the fact that his a winner!

Did Jose B. injure himself playing for Portugal? Well as some pointed out I am going to feel confident if Guus plays Michael Mancienne in his place.

added to my list of pet hates are those who hate ashley cole, we have the best wingback pairing in the world, we have conceeded less ronaldo goals then any team thats played ronaldo and ashley has been that reason, fergie plays him on the other side of the pitch because he knows this, evra has never had to deal with such a threat quite rightly pointed out by jaz
ashley plays every match for us and almost for england, he is consistent and is flourishing for us far more than arsenal, rooney has more bookings than ashley already, anyone care to slate him?

every player makes mistakes and gives away the ball now and then, just because it is high profile doesnt make him poor
argentina lost 6-1 to bolivia, but does that really make them rubbish, do you see them not making the knock outs of the world cup?

on the ballack saga, we had it just right last season but then again he was playing a box to box role most of the time with makelele behind him, i guess a big thing is the players confidence in going foward. As a good example, england vs croatia 2-3, the wingbacks wouldn’t advance because carson was oh so wobbly so in comparison, would lampard and ballack roam free all the time with mikel behind them? we cpuld play essien in the holding role but we wont get the best out of him in the holding role so we need to decide who should flourish, essien or ballack
personally, id say ballack as his attacking prowess is what we need right now

i like cj’s comment about the captain of england, i laugh at how other supporters will sometimes chip in and say terry shouldnt wear it, but just like the lampard being rubbish argument, there are no justifiable reasons

looking ahead over the next week, we have a ‘rejuvenated’ shearer flavoured newcastle
bosingwa has some sort of bite shaped hole in his leg so he wont be playing, i think mancienne should start here and then we can consider belletti if necessary. Newcastle have alot of injuries and are playing very poorly, nonetheless, they can pose a threat, but we should be relentless against them

for our scouse encounter, i think mancienne should be given the nod to start, he needs to start building his confidence up and there is no better time to do it
