We’ve drawn Liverpool again! Make no mistake. We’re gonna thump them. I’m sure Rafa would be worried. For once, in a million years, they are in the title race in the month of March and they’ve got a very tough draw in the champions league quarters against Chelsea. And I just loooove the fact that the second leg would be played at Stamford Bridge. Take that, you suckers!
Man Utd and Arsenal have got easir draws, no matter what the old men say. I wanted Barcelona to draw Arsenal so they can rip them to pieces. I have high hopes on Villareal now. Bayern and Barcelona would be a fantastic match too.
Let’s talk about the weekend match. Tottenham Hotspurs at Three Point Lane. They just defeated Aston Villa at Villa Park. That’s no indication of their form. They’re fully capable of getting annihilated this weekend. They are like Joe Cole. When they play well, they’re a fantastic team. When they don’t they frustrate their fans to no end. Sadly, they’re playing well very rarely these days. The match at Villa park was dominated by Villa. Spurs got their chances and they converted them. It was Villa who were calling the shots. With a little bit of luck, they could have sealed the match in the first half.
I feel that this Tottenham team lacks characted. Against them, you take a lead and the game is yours. I don’t see them coming back with vengeance. Of course I remember the dramatic draw at the Emigrants stadium earlier this season. That was possible because it was against their fiercest rival Arsenal and also because it was Arsenal they were playing against. I must talk about that little brat Fibreglass. For whatever reason, he has been one of my most hated footballers and he’s given me another reason with that spitting incident. And then he comes out saying that he has never spat before in his career. That’s a load of fabregas. We have all seen the video clipping of Mr.Gas spitting on Michael Ballack. I hate you Fabregas. You’ll be fined and stoned.
I would respect Tottenham as an opponent because they have pacy, talented players and they can play great high tempo football and punish us if we are a bit late. But we are on a high, aren’t we? Successive wins in premier league. Progression in champions league. Guus Hiddink has turned into a real magician. Essien returns from injury. Drogba returns from the dumps. Cech is slowly getting back to his best. Chelsea have started to show more command and control on the games.
Actually, I’m mad enough to say that we will win all the remaining matches in premier league. When you put confidence and momentum together, anything could happen. I think Guus would play the same playing eleven that played against Man City except for Deco who seems to be out for the season. Quaresma may come in to replace Deco. Other than this, I don’t think Guus would change the team.
I see a 0-2 in Chelsea’s favour. Drogba and Anelka.
P.S: My internet problem seems to have been resolved after more than a week. Thanks for the patience.

@BC
I know that you are quite confident. But you need to remember that this is a over-hyped club and these idiots got a point from us (could have got pointS) last year when they were playing for nothing. If at all they score,I think it would be that agin over-rated R.Keane.
They are actually a bad team now but we have to get the killer goal in this game which we havent done.
Hope to get all the 3 points.
KTBFFH!!!!
we will defo destroy liverpool and please chelsea trade pizzaro for diego
Yep, we are on a high, but that’s exactly what can turn against us in the matches like this one. Tottenham is down and has been down for most of the season. However, they can give a good match to anybody when they have their day. I fully appreciate Guus for what he has done with the club and that he has not been beaten yet, but actually – that’s exactly it.
What will happen when we lose? That’s another dimension of the season and Guus has yet to prove that he can manage it and motivate players for the next match after defeat so that they will tore the next opponent into pieces. I am almost sure he is the right person to deal even with this situation. I also hope Guus is able to hold the players with their feet on the ground. But we have yet to see that; now it’s only a few matches under Guus and many more still to come. On the other hand, we definitely can enjoy the turnaround that has happened under Guus.
Aren’t we supposed to talk about Arsenal – Chelsea Fa Cup match here?
did u guys know that if we win liverpool, we will either have to face barcelon or bayern munich, mmm not too happy about tht
Replying to Chelsifan:
Be very happy buddy, we have been dating these buddies (Liverpool and Barcelona) since past 5 years. So lets flirt with them one more time!
GO CHELSEA YOU ARE CHAMPIONS ..!!
hiddink + essien + drogba in CHAMPIONS
I think as fans (and the media as well) we live in the now. 2 months ago it felt like we were “the worst team ever” and now it feels as though we are “Invincible”! Truth is although we have momentum now we are far from our best performance and as a betting man if Liverpool brings their best game I don’t think we are consistent yet enough to beat them. I’m desperately ready to be proven wrong but I see this line up as the most difficult of climbs.
Here’s to beating ManU in the final
We will thump tottenham and any any other opposition we will face this season. Something tells me this will be our best season ever!
Froma TrueBlue.
KTBFFH!
The most difficult of draws, the closest of matches, the drama and sweat, the skill, courage and determination needed to be shown.
And Victory and Glory for Chelsea !
Replying to Satuso: The Chelsea vs Arsenal game is on 20th of April..
Hmm…. I’ve got a gut feeling of getting the Pools for the draw on last Monday and I thought that by not mentioning it, we might jinxed past it. Well guess not. And you know what, it was not that BAD at all… mainly because Liverpool just trashed ManUnited and their fans arrogants can be heard throughout the entire dotNET media and if there is a chance of proving who’s most worthy in ENGLAND (if not in EUROPE), this is the chance. With Guus leading the team, with the very HIGH morale we are having, with the excitement of our players, NOT even the referee or linesman can deny us victory at this moment.
Btw, spot on BC on your valuation on the Spurs game. I think we will get 3-points with a tight scoreline, unless they decided to bench Cudicini as I don’t regard Gomez as a Big game players. KTBFFH!!! Lets paint London Blue!!!
If we beat Liverpool, then all of the eyes as the favourite for the Champions League will be on us.Liverpool is more dangerous than MU and BARCA in the CL . We got a bad season vs Liverpool and they double us badly. This is the best time for revange and a hard work for HIDDINK.We need to play far better than what chelsea played VS JUVE.We can beat liverpool with intelligent of our players and a little luck. After that ,Barca is piece of cake.
If Essien is playing as awesome as last game, we can win any game. He sets the new found standards and it looks like its rubbing off to the players. A solid 3-0 win over spurs today.
I think Chelsea has a good crack at the Champions League and FA , ( MaNure hafta negotiate the FA and Champions League too and it will be interesting if they can be that single-minded when everyone else is ready to wallop them all the time ,in th league too instead of picking up points they hafta make sure that they dont lose points , so psychologically thats bad for ‘em )
Anyways with Essien in , Deco out, Drogs and Lamps ready and the back line steady with Ricky and JT and with Guus the ultimate tournament coach, there’s no way we can do that bad against Liverfool. Hold them at Anfield , battering-ram an away goal with Drogs and its done !
I expect fame, fortune, the bounce of the ball and a fanatic determination with Guus’s realism to get us past Liverfool ! Why not ? they dont actually see Chelsea as a rollover ! They are human and one injury to Torres and they’re gone.
In The FA . ManUre are gonna be of two minds , go for it 100% and stand the chance of injuring (a) key player(s) or focusing on the league ?
So while they’re dithering about that Chelsea can go on a single-minded quest to bag all that’s there to bag.
There is no way back for Chelsea , some players are getting creaky in the bones and this year might be the year to get their hands on the Champions league .
So this mat be the year guys ! The year we take the Champions league and FA . And if ManUre fall down the stairs i the league all the better ! ( about 2 % chance of that but that’s better than mathematical impossibilty ain’t it ? )
Twisting and turning the road will be to get our precious powderd hands on the Silverware but as long as we get it I dont care if we hafta ram the ball down the gullets of Liverfool and Barca instead of daintily facing Porto and Aresy !

C’mon CHELSEA
IT’S FUNNY HOW EASY THE ROAD TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL WAS FOR CHELSEA LAST SEASON. 4/5 IS PLAIN LUCKY!! george bush IS A TERRORIST!! CHEERS
Im glad with drawing Liverpool yet again, I know it’s becoming a boring clash because both teams have a similar style of football which makes them highly defensive and with limited breaks on each side, but then again its time for redemption. Liverpool have done the double on us this season and now its time we teach them a lesson over the two legs and then its most likely going to be Barca, well we have beaten them before and we can beat them again so bring em on cause if Chelsea wish to win something this season then we have to be fearless, as they say to be the best you got to beat the best and that is exactly what we would have to do!! The match today will be interesting, I think it will be a 2-0 victory for us with Drogba and Lampard scoring a peice each. Chelsea Rulez!!!!!!!!!
Team for today
Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Alex, Terry, Ashley Cole, Essien, Ballack, Lampard, Belletti, Drogba, Anelka.
Subs: Hilario, Ivanovic, Di Santo, Malouda, Quaresma, Kalou, Mancienne.
Breaking news:
Tottenham v Chelsea will not not start until 1530 GMT because of “unforseen circumstances”.
I saw the villa vs. spurs game and i have to say I dont agree wit you bc. spurs played really good. and villa dont look like they belong among the top 4. and remember that spurs beat liverpool at home held man u to a goalless draw. I am not sure how the game agains arsenal went but I think it was a goalless draw to. so they have quality.
so lets not take them lightly. and we have drawn agains them acouple of times.
But if we score early on them it make our lives much easier.
I know deco wont play, but he is featured in the team that will play agains sweden in the 2010 WC q. So maybe he aint out for the season.
the CL draw, well guus and the second leg at home will help us. and not that sure of barca advancin wit ease over Bayern. I wouldnt be surprised if bayern beat barca.
Replying to cfc:ARE YOU G-MAN?

they always do lol.
but oh well i’m in a negative mood at the moment anyway.
hopefully we win!

tottenham score
modric :(
manure losing :P
guys fcuk no!!!
we lost! luck wasn´t our side. But credit to tottenham, they were better most of the time. Its another opportunity wasted…..
liverpoo’s turn to be one within a point of manure..im sure they wont miss this chance like we did…
just one of those days at the office….i dont think there is anything we cuda done to score…it was just meant to be….we were never gna score….
neways…hope Newcastle game we’re better..
Replying to cfc:ARE YOU G-MAN?
what do you mean ?
Today, Chelsea decided not to take any points from White Hart Lane, no disrespect to Spurs but they did not need to fight hard for it. They wanted the win more than us, much much more, that’s why we lost. You can blame fatigue or a very poor Ballack, but to me, the entire team needed to shoulder the blame including Guus. With ManUtd losing today, it might be the only consolation we have as no one anticipate a Fulham 2-0 win, I expect Arsenal and Villa to do the damaging… but nevermind now as we have a problem to solve at the Bridge. We were awful and we need to know why. A very sad week for the me and the rest of the Blues faithful… real sad.
But nevertheless….. KTBFFH!!!!
I want liverpool to win to put pressure on Man U .. What about others ?
We lost because like most people on this website, the players just showed up expecting to get an easy win. They can’t play with this mentality, they deserved to lose. This game should be a wake up call for them, even though man utd lost, the Chelsea players just didn’t see the importance in winning today’s match. They should have come out blazing, they came out flat and gave away possession cheaply. Nobody should say anything about luck, the way Chelsea played in the first half, they didn’t deserve a positive result at all.
I want liverpool to win to put pressure on Man U .. What about others ?
It really doesn’t matter at this point as the plan was that we win all our league games and hope ManUtd self-destruct, they started… we join in the suicidal plan… sad…. very sad… But I do hope Villa wins, not becoz of keeping Liverpool at bay but to keep Arsenal out of top four.
Sad game actually. I think Tottenham were really good during their attacks, their build-up play was all around Lennon, Modric, Keane and they worked it off well. Unlucky for us that we didnt get the hand-ball decision our way, Alex’s header hit the cross-bar and Drogba missed one/two good heading opportunities. I think the fact that ManUre lost gives us some relief, I dont think the season is all over yet but its gonna be difficult from here..God, am i the only one to notice that in every of our season since ’06 we’ve dropped points at some crucial games (last season Spurs away, Everton and Wigan at home)..this cant happen…Oh well, lets hope Fernando Torres can help Pool pile some pressure on ManUre with a win
KTBFFH!
Real disappointment.
Belletti shouldn’t have started. The game plan clearly was not working in the first half. At half time, Guus should’ve brought Quaresma and Kalou on. His subs are too late. I don’t why Guus is keeping Kalou on the bench. Kalou was on such a fine form in Guus’s first couple of matches. So was Mikel. He is much much better than Ballack is in that holding position. Ballack has been absolutely poor in as many as matches he has played this season. I can’t remember the one single game Ballack played beyond our expectations. Mikel was not even on the bench today and don’t know why. Anelka is a good finisher but he is finding it extremely difficult to score the goals he wanted to. The way we are playing now is not the one that suits Anelka’s game. We started 4-1-3-2. After half time Guus switched to 4-3-3 with Anelka & Belletti providing width. Guus was right to change the formation but i didn’t like his decision to keep both Anelka and Belletti on the pitch when there were enough signs those two were struggling in the first half.
Essien was invisible today. I can understand why. He is just back from injury and worked tirelessly hard in his 3 games. I didn’t see real Essien today who was so energetic and hungry against Man City last week. He may be feeling the tempo and pace of the game. It may take a few games for us to see his best.
The goal is down to poor Bosingwa. He should’ve cleared the ball much better and did risk his teammate. A.Cole was good defensively against Lennon but I think Uncle Harry outsmarted Guus. He might have told Lennon that don’t try too hard to beat A.Cole, just try to put the ball in box whenever you have the chance.
It was also one of our off-days. Everything was going against us. We upped our game only after we conceded. I thought we deserved a point knowing how many chances we created in final few minutes. Alex was unlucky hitting the post. Gomez was outstanding in goal making some terrific saves.
I just think PL tittle is out of our reach now even though ManU lost. I am going for Liverpool to win the tittle this year even I hate them as much as I love Chelsea.
This is deja vu. Manure leave a door wide wide open and we can’t even fucking walk through it. It happened last season and the season before. How many helping hands do we need from other teams before we really start pushing for the EPL title. It was pathetic today, despite having a reasonable resting period everybody looked tired and worn out. Please explain someone!!!!
i was gonna call this a 1-1 game, simply because no matter how well we play, tottenam seem to come back through some un-naural goal, alas, we’ve lost, and i put it down to gomes actually refusing to make a blunder
we’ll pick up from this but we do not want liverpool to win tomorrow
this game completely slipped my attention because im angry at wat I think is the fifh match up beween chelsea and liverpool on the uropean stage and the upcoming fa cup fixture
GUUS’ Mistakes:
1.) WHERE IN HELL WAS MIKEL? not in the game… not even on the bench!
2.) Why the fuck did Belletti start?
3.)Why the hell didn’t you bring in Kalou and Quaresma at the beginning of the second half?
4.) How in hell could Anlka play all 93 minutes? He didn’t make a pass all day!… not to talk of make a shot off target? (not on target)
5.)Why is Ballack still in the frst team… Why is he not on the reserve’s bench team!
6.) Why bring in Malouda with only 15 minutes.. why not kalou? Malouda has definitely had his chances; he has failed thre managers already. Kalou scores in big games (remember against manure)
You all can blame Drogba all you want but I think he was fantastic today; he was our best defender. He stopped two gaols from happening and and he had 5 on target. Anelka was crap. Essien started brightly but faded very fast. Belletti flopped bad… Ballack was a tottenham player… Bosingwa forgot he was a defender and never went to the back. Even during corner kicks! Terry was nowhere… We were left with Alex, Ashley cole, a tired lampard and drogba. This is where we needed Mikel.
You cansay what you want about him but whenever heplays, the gamealways goes according to his tempo. If he plays brilliantly, we can’t lose; if he flops, we get hammered. Now G
i think 2and 3 week of april is decisive if he com throghh unbeaten still in ucl and fa cup then iam ready to sacrifice epl
I dont want MU to be champions ,i like to liverpool to win.We are like arsenal.
“We won’t give on the title, but today was an ideal opportunity to close the gap on Manchester United and we missed it. These are the days you look back on and regret very much when you are in a title race. We cannot afford to drop two or three points in any game if we want to catch United, and today we have lost – it’s a huge blow.
“Still, we have two other roads to trophies and we must learn a big lesson from today if we want to challenge for those.”
Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink
essien need rest and he will be back to his best next week
rest essien for newcastle and then play them mikel and essien 4 anfield
This chelsea team is just filled with some disgusting guys with no ambition at all……they just play for money and nothing else…were they interested in winning today…..The answer is clearly that they just werent interested.
BALLACK: the biggest liability in the world of football currently……his presence on the pitch now just makes my skin crawl….he was absolutely pahtetic on the ptich today….its confirmed that he cannot do anything right anymore…..his passes were lowsy …never kept the ball…..cannot take advantage of freekicks and dosent have the legs to come back and help his players in defense….keeping this guy in the club for the next season might just ensure that we might not even qualify for the UCL forget winning the title….I would not even keep him in the team for a salary of 60k quids a week let alone 130k…….he should be sent for a flying fuck back to his disgusting homeland……his terrible performances have hurt us badly all this season…..he has no chelsea future anymore.
We dunt deserve to win the title as simple as that……at least this team cannot……neither will be as big as the united and liverpoll…….these guys have some strong history and as we are concerned it seems very soon that we would become history……most of these chelsea stars are nothig else but a bunch of overpaid, overhyped and aged players…..
The thing I feared the most happened, the over-hyped club took 3 points from us.I am happy in a way,a defeat under Guus had to come.So be it now.I am ready to sacrifice the league for the Champions League or FA cup.
I want to hurt Liverpool as they did us by resting 10 players in a PL game before a Champs-League semi-final at Anfield.I dont mind us doing the same but I dont think it will happen.
History is repeating itself. The opposition drops points ,we fail to capitalize on it.
Kalou should have been given a start. He hasnt played since a long time.Anelka should have been rested.
@BC
sorry to say about ur comment on Spurs’ stadium”3-point lane”.It was but not for us.
KTBFFH!!!!!!!!!!
Guus got his tactic wrong today. He played Essien as CDM and belleti as RM; where as it should have been the opposite. DD had lots of shots but i think they were all off-target, anelka did his job fine, ballack was good as usual( but the problem is he is always surrounded by 2 defenders) and was winning balls and free-kicks. belleti and essien tried their best they could, but as i said they were not in their usual positions. Quaresma was poor, and introducing malouda didn´t help much as well. It should clearly have been Mikel and Kalou. and we played longer balls today and therefore we kept on losing possession. I´d expected that that type of play would change in other half of the second half, but then there was quaresma and malouda and we had to play differently. I felt the best player on the pitch was Alex, and nearly even scored a goal.
The formation didn´t suited the chelsea style of play and that cost us today. But i´m not that disappointed today, we tried to play differently, and unfortunately we lost. Guus tried something new and it was interesting to watch. I´m sure he´s got more idea of player´s strength with this formation and this game will do us good in CL and league games to come.
On the other side, Vidic is suspended and now Paul scholes and ronney added the list. SO they might lose to villains. chelsea´s still got chance, though i feel now liverpool can do it this time.
Whatever happened today to Manure and Chelski…it is a FIX to let Liverpool win the EPL by a narrow goal difference but same point with MU or CHelsea. Just remember today when Liverpool win EPL in the near future. The Champions League too…is a fix for either Barcelona or Bayern to win.
ballack was good? he was horrendous today. sometimes I just don’t understand why he was bought in the first place.
History wins you nothing, and if you are a football fan (or possess any football sense) as you claimed, you should know by now. Want to support a club with history, go join Liverpool, Man United or even Everton for that matters. I’m tired of hearing the so-called fans like you screaming about history, Chelsea stared in 1905 and you think we have no history after 104 years!!! Just because you don’t know the history doesn’t mean it didn’t exist.
