Jose Mourinho has said he will return to Chelsea one day but is not saying when. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7890621.stm
I voted for Slaven Bilic, Frank Rijkaard and Martin O'Neil.
Slaven Bilic has had some success with the Croatian national team and he could of easily got them to the final of EURO 2008, it was all down to luck really when he lost to Turkey. He has had some Premier League experience when he was playing for Everton and West Ham and he is a very good tactition. He is good at communicating with players and has a lot of charisma like Jose Mournho! I really think he can succeed at Chelsea and if he was put in charge, I hope he is given time.
Frank Rijkaard had some great years with Barcelona but he was extremely laid back. In his final season with Barcelona, he seemed to had lost control over the whole squad and there was a lot of speculation that he wasn't getting on with key players i.e ... Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto'o ect ... so I do have my doubts about him.
And Martin O'Neil has built something great with Aston Villa! He is calm and a good tactition and also good at getting his message across. However I doubt he would consider Chelsea especially the fact that he would have to work under Roman Abramovich and Peter Kenyon and could even face the sack within 6 months if things were not looking good.
I don't want Ancelotti - he hasn't been very successful with AC Milan
I don't want Mancini - His record is terrible in Europe
I don't want Zola YET - I would love to have him in the future but for now he needs some more experience with West Ham
I deffo don't want Avram Grant Back - He was a useless berkshire arse!

I can't believe so many people voted for Rijkaard. He is one of the most hated people ever at the Bridge, even more than Grant. I think he would be a divisive force when what we need is someone who can pull all the different camps together. I notice Ancelotti isn't on the poll, and it could well be him. We'll never see Mourinho again as manager at Chelsea I'm afraid. I agree he'll probably wind up at ManUre, alas. Whoever takes over the Chelsea helm is in for a rollercoaster ride. Anyway Scolari is gone and maybe now, things will buck up a little.

I can see all you passionate loyal fans are concern about where do we go from here and who will lead us there... so do I. Just would like to make a point that all managers possesses different characteristics in their management... some are good at picking the right combination of players available in the market (JM, Wenger, Fergie) and some do more with what they've got and motivate them into better players (Martin O'Neil, Moyes, P Brown, and of course Guus H). We obviously needs a motivator as the window is closed... but I'll be damn if we need to go through this pain again of seeking another "LONG" term manager at the end of the season...

p.s : "We currently owns the record of having the most short-lived managers out of the BIG FOUR. It is something that CFC need to fix if were to go to the next level but having said this, it is nobody's fault that we are in this position, it just means that "The RIGHT One" has not turn up yet".

Carlo Ancelotti is a very good choice (Especially if he can bring with him the best players). I'm not talking about the relics - young guys like Pato who on current form is bound to be the next best striker in the world. That dude is making an old geezer like Beckam look good. Of course Kaka will stay of course but (and I'm dreaming here) how funny would it be if he left w/ CA in the summer to come to the Bridge.

Oooooh those City Boys would truly be hopping ass mad.

Anyways back to reality - This is good news all around that GH is takign over as temp coach. He is known for not taking any Sh!t. If anyone can throw the hairdryers in the dressing room and get our pampered players back in the right mind set it is GH.

I mean come on... just LOOK at the man. Does he cry out to you.. "Hey I just want to be your friend"???

I think this guy is coming to the Bridge with a bottle of lube and a cattle prod.

and that is EXACTLY what our player's need right now.

Over the years, Chels should have eased young Academy players into the first team, players like Mancienne, Sahar, Sinclair etc, even as subs, or in so called "lesser" Cups, like the League Cup etc. This ensures continuity, team building, safeguards against the consequences of funds drying up (as now), & gives hope & encouragment to talented young lads---JT came up thus, & he's not been too bad, has he?

Good riddance to portuzilain rubbish.

Rijkaard doesn't want to come nw. At least try to read the previous posts b4 you start banging at your keyboard.
Jm will not come. He's having it good in Italy and Roman will have to stoop, I dnt see him doing that. I dnt wnt rijk, no sexy footie for me, I want function nt fashion, i wnt fucking pragmatism. I dnt mind Moyes at all.

I dnt want Mancini, nt so sure abt his man management. Plus, he never did well with Inter in Champions League, even though he had a sweet squad.
Like Hiddink though and the temporary thing is perfect for all concerned, we gt experience and tactical ingenuity, he gets away from boredom. Actuall, I think all National teams should follow this model, it saves money
