Scolari’s prayers for signing a dribbler have been answered. Thank God for that. I thought we won’t sign anyone in this window. Ricardo Quaresma signs for Chelsea on a loan until the end of this season. I like Quaresma. He could just be the change that we need now. And Chelsea could just be the change Quaresma needs now. It’s a perfect marriage, isn’t it? Chelsea are hovering around champions league spot and they go and get Quaresma who himself is struggling to make an appearance at Inter. I also know that he has generally failed more than he succeeded. He was adored at Porto but his stint at Barca and Inter are less than impressive. Jose bought him for Inter at about 12m. He played him for about 10 matches and then went back to Inter’s old formation because 4-3-3 did not work for Inter and he was not happy with Quaresma. This is what he had said on Quaresma:
He is a great talent, but the joy I have at seeing the way Ibra works for and with the team I do not yet have with Quaresma. He will have to learn, otherwise he won’t play, and I am sure he’ll change and become more tactically disciplined. He likes kicking the ball with the outside of his foot, but if you ask me about him in a few months’ time we’ll be talking about a different Quaresma.
TSO would be the last one to help his champions league rival. That’s why it concerns me instead of comforting me. Is this like Fergie letting go Silvestre to join Arsenal? I know I’m taking it a bit too far. Or may be JM genuinely wanted to help Chelsea while he can give some first team football to his favourite man. Quaresma can be good. At 25 years, he is at the right age to unleash his talent and realise his potential. Scolari has worked with Quaresma as you would expect him to do with anyone of Portuguese or Brazilian origin. May be it was Scolari who named him, who gave him a debut and was the priest in the church where he got married. There seems to be a strong connection between Quaresma and Scolari.
Quaresma is coming on a loan deal until the end of this season. I don’t think there is an option to buy at the end of the contract or such stuff. JM would want him back. If Inter win the Serie A, expect JM to make Inter play 4-3-3 with Quaresma and Mancini or even Messi! He wouldn’t try that this season because, he wants to win the title no matter what. So I think Quaresma would go back to Inter. So that means less than 20 matches roughly. Quaresma must be fit and raring to go after making just over 10 appearances for Inter. Probably, he could be the fittest first team Chelsea player after probably Cech or Anelka.
I would bet my house on Scolari starting Quaresma at every single opportunity as long as he can stand on one foot. That’s because he ticks too many boxes, especially the ones like ‘nationality’, ‘language’ etc. At least, Quaresma would put an end to the 4-1-4-1. With an out and out winger like Quaresma, I would expect Scolari to play an orthodox 4-3-3 (may be we should have got Amantino Mancini too!). The guy has got skill and he is a dribbler. As with any naturally skilled dribbler, his tactical discipline is a worry. As it is we are congesting the final third so much that it sometimes feels like we are playing with 15 men. I’m curious to know if Quaresma would be given a freer role to roam around with his dribbling skills. I’m curious to know what role would Scolari assign to him.
I know we’ve got a poor man’s Robinho. But this is Scolari’s last trump card.

I’m really happy with getting Quaresma, but will he be eligible for the Champions League?
It may be time to think about the future. And although Chelsea may not be able to sign him at the end of the season, putting him on the pitch with Di Santo, Kalou, and Stoch may add a sense of hope for next season and enthusiasm for the rest of this one. Here’s an idea, if Quaresma turns out to be a benefit that we can’t keep, get a talent scout to get some kid that is very close in speed and skill. Then again, maybe he can get the new Turkish kid in gear for first team football. After the awful match at Anfield, darn near anything can be a glimmer of hope.
Quoting True Blue in L.A.
Yes, he will be available for champions league. TSO did not name him in his champions league squad for knock out stages. He left out Balotelli and Mancini too.
Oh ok, because he played in the group stages in each game for Inter, I thought if you play in any game in CL competition then you are cup-tied but I guess I was wrong. In that case I’m even more excited about him, he should be a huge boost for our attack. Another thing that makes me more excited is that as well as Mikel plays in his position, once Essien returns then he can be more involved in attack.
He isn’t eligable actually because he’s played for Inter in the group stage, thats what Team Talk said anyway.
Replying to True Blue in L.A.: Damn, did he play in the group stages for Inter? Are you sure? If yes, he is not available then
Yea he played in all 6, 3 of them he started the other 3 he subbed on. I researched it online, looks like he won’t be available unfortunately. =/
Prepare to be disappointed my fellow Chelsea fans. This guy is Ronaldo with all the attitude and none of the end product. He was behined even Nani in the portugal team. Dont expect much from him.

I wish I had your optimism, but considering what torment this season has been to date, I’m of the opinion that even Messi would play like a headless chicken if he was left for a few weeks in the very incapable hands of Scolari. But to finish on a positive note, things are so grim at present that it can only get better. I hope I’m not proved wrong after the next game.
even still, quaresma is a very robust player, i had hoped we would have netted him before mourinho, if ricky q adapts to our 4-3-3, mourinho will be more than happy to call him back, if we attempt to keep him at the end of the season, you can be certain droba will go the other way
im excited but i dont want scolari to burn him out with overuse
if anyone gets the best out of him, it will be scolari
hopefully with bosingwa and quaresma on the right, he can energise our attack, maybe drogba will put in effort now he has support

if scolari cant win a title this year he sucks. this is a great team on paper.
To 10,
I agree, but what do we want? A paper cup or a silver trophy?
great signing… always liked Quaresma… it’s a shame he has never found his feet abroad though. I think the English game suits him though while the Italian league is 95% tactical prowess. He’ll do a bit of justice for the loan deal I’m sure. We’ll let him go back to Inter and Robinho will finally be brought to us as it should have been.
he is exactly what we needed. We have to play player that are eager to prove themselves as Belleti and Stoch have proven. We need to play Di Santo more.
Yeah good article. Quaresma is a great deal for us. The guy can dribble, beat players, cross and score goals. My only concern is that JM bought him to replace Figo and unless there is a sell on clause then we would proberbly have to pay alot to get him. We shouldnt get to worried about that though because I see him as the one player we are really lacking and really need. I think he will do well considering he wont be in anybodys shadow (Portugal-Ronaldo, Inter-Ibra) and our attacking style and surrounded by prtuguese players he should do well for us. Really pleased that we have got something done. But this isnt something its a great deal where we cant lose.
Dont understand at all why any of you want Robinho. This is the deal that made us look stupid. He made his bed so now he should lie in it.
i have always adored Quaresma, but Quaresma at this time in chelsea? i don´t know. this guy was in a terrible form in Inter. Besides his stamina could be a big question. We play normally 2 games a week, so players normally don´t get to rest. will Quaresma be able to handle that? we´ll see, but i´m not that excited with this signing. he could turn out to be another malouda. But i wish for good. May he be exactly that what LFS wishes he would be.
Big question is if he does really well then could we tempt them to sell? I think we could
i don’t know why you guys like him, he’s a horrible diving ronaldo clone as far as i’ve seen. When we played him in the champions league he stopped whenever anyone challenged him for the ball and went into a huff when the ref didn’t give him what he wanted… the last thing we need is another prima donna. Maybe jose has knocked some sense into him or he’s just grown since..
he does look good though, and is almost the perfect fit for what we’ve been looking for..maybe i’ll fall in love with him when he starts winning us things!
Quaresma hmm I liked him in Porto, but I doubt he will turn around our season. If he would have played anyway near to his potential then we wouldn’t even have been talking about him wearing a blues shirt now.
We need good and positive thing to happen now that our season is doomed. I had practice yesterday so I did miss the second half of the game and oh boy was I glad I didn’t skip practice…
From what I understand he won’t play in the CL and that’s all we got to look forward to now. This is the first time I kind of given up on the season. It kills me to say this but now I even lost any kind of hope I used to have. AND the upcoming matchups against Juve, well I will sit down bit my nail and pray we get through to the quarterfinals. Notice I said “pray”!!!
Looking to our squad I still don’t agree wit some saying we can’t compete wit the best of them and at the highest level. We haven’t used our resources to the fullest that’s for sure and we have only our self to blame.
Man u are the champs and they are on their way to the title again this year. Congratulation to them, they have set a high standard. Let’s learn from our mistakes and give them a run for ALL the trophies as soon as possible.
I hope coach makes the CL the priority now and uses the EPL as a learning experience to the younger lads and to try different formations. I hope he can stop being stubborn. I´ve lost ma believe and am left only wit hope. I dont expect that to happen but u can always hope for it to happen. I´ve got this horrible empty feeling for the moment. But hey I guess this part of being a fan also. Plus when you’re waiting for something good you never wait to long. Come on YOU blues.
And more importantly, Ricky Quaresma, WELCOME TO CHELSEA FC, Feel free to express yourself on the pitch only the way u can. Good luck and as soon you put your Chelsea shirt on, we will cheer for you.

perhaps the may transfer could be robinho, but as long as it’s someone with a bit of pace and a good cross (as young as possible while still maintaing the level we ask for)
That is an unstoppable team right there, i know we say it almost every season but if scolari (or god forbid, someone else) can’t win with that team, taking all injuries into consideration, omg. hehe, i know some may consider it a bit early for this kind of talk but yah know, i’m not in the mood for thinking about chelsea’s present right now.
Replying to cap123:
I know were your getting at, but am hopeful that havin his old nationalteam coach will make him work hard and earn his min on the pitch. PLUS now LFS got what he wanted all a along.
But lets be fair lets not expect him to do wonders. but if he can have a decent run wit us and if that can give the rest of the team a lil lift am happy.

Thinking of yesterday, what a day I had.. Roger Federer loses in the morning in the 5th Set . Chelsea lose in the 88 minute and Arizona lose with 40 seconds or so remaining.. Having said that , the positive is that a day can’t go worse than that
..
Richardo Quaresma – Atleast chelsea got someone on loan or else it would have been a transfer window with no inward action.. I am only hoping for the best, but my worry is two among the best coaches of this decade ( Frank Rijkaard and Jose Mourinho ) couldn’t get the best from him .. Hopefully Scolari can ..

Such a great line, BC. You had me chuckling.
As far as Quaresma…I’m glad to see some new blood being brought in. Let’s hope he’ll make a difference. At the very least, I hope his coming acts as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. I don’t want to have to suffer the hurt of watching us fall further down the table.
its better than nth…at least nw we got a creative and skilful player…to replace joecoel who is out injured…if he perform well which i hope so…then we should buy him…seems like we got a ronaldo like in our hands…ineresting
I think he will get the no 7 shirt.he is cup tied .is nt he?

Great signing – RQ won the Golden Bin in his first season at Inter – a great achievement really. Top class player you signed *snigger* http://www.goal.com/en/news/1707/inter/2008/12/08/1002418/quaresma-wins-golden-bin-award
Italy is a very difficult place to play football.Henry didnt do very well there before moving to Arsenal. So judging Q by his little sting at Inter would be a little harsh in my opinion.Lets just be positive and pray that he would become what we all need.Cheers

Let’s enjoy the ride and hope ManUre stumble and Liverfool fumble and Aston Villa get to be the champions with us being a close 2nd.
henry also did trash in england till he was played as striker since as a winger he sucks balls, which is what juventus played him as. Quaresma is the king of highlights vids, does some nice shit but for every nice thing he does he does 9 things that make the work of the fullbacks harder cause he is clueless about what to do. As a free role winger maybe he can do decent but i would never ever ever play him on the same side as bosingwa, thats just plain suicide, add to it that quaresma was behind simao and nani for the winger position and that shows how much faith scolari really has in him. I wouldnt be surprised if he starts a couple of games but struggles, his end product is reall lacking, feels similar to c.ron from 4 seasons ago even though he is 1 year older.

Inter striker Ricardo Quaresma has always stated his ambition to win the Ballon d’Or award but he will have to settled for the ‘Golden Bin’ accolade this season.
The award is given to the worst player of the season by Italian radio station Radio 2.

Quaresma can dribble and cross so thats a big asset! Kalou and quaresma can try and take on defenders just like ronaldo and park
i believe he will change our season aroud. I hope he debuts against hull, its more thatn enough time to get ready!

worst formation i´ve ever seen, may wok good in fifa´09 but not in real pitch. lampard, deco, quaresma, kalou are all attacking players (bad tacklers, and defenders, some keep losing the ball in the pitch) and with this formation you have left lots of gaps in our defending areas, they´d bombard us with longballs, and not to forget we have carvalho injured, terry out of form, bosingwa never impressed me in defence……try some new ones mate! it would be like playing with only 5 players against 11 with this formation.

hey guys
Any word on THE MAN Essien yet? I had great hope of him returning mid jan, but I guess all that was paper talk or did he get a setback in practice? anyone know anything?
quaresma, got a few tricks under his sleeve but is that wat we need in our team? I really hope he gets a great start so he can go on a excellent run. If he doesnt ..oh boy its gonna be a long and cold spring…
but coming to chelsea will be like gathering wit the national team wit all the portugese players in the squad; hope that will be to his advantage
come on chelsea
I’m still having a laugh at all of these 4-4-2 formations listed above. LFS won’t play it. He hasn’t even tried it for 1 game.
and I also love BC’s title above where you post –

I’m thinking at this point that doesn’t apply to Chelsea, Roman or LFS. =)

He did play 4-1-2-1-2 once, against Southend and we won 1-4. That was the most convincing victory after LFS´s honeymoon period.
Ricardo, Quaresma, well at the moment, hard to say if hes gonna be any good for chelsea, time will tell, but hes a great talent.
With Didier and Anelka, its a shame chelsea cant play wid a 2 front men strike force, The problem with chelsea at the moment is trying to play the ball too much on the ground, and on top that way too many old players with no pace at all, to make the maximum use of all the players chelsea have, and to surprise the opposition, chlesea should adapt somthing different, at the moment, j cole is out, kalou is the only player wid some kinda pace and dribbling attribute, malouda is annonymous most of the games, in paper, chelsea hav the best midfielders probably in the world with, Mikel, essien, lampard, ballack, deco. but, the trouble is none of them are wide players, so its impossible to play a usual 4-4-2
With essien out for another few weeks, jcole out for season, may be chelsea should use their fullbacks as wingers, ashely cole and bosingwa are great going forward and crossing, LFS have played a 3-5-2 system with brazil, why not try 3-5-2 system with chelsea, At the moment ricardo carv: is out for few weeks, but chelsea do have solid defenders, in terry, alex and ivanovic,

Defence wil be solid with 3 defenders, and 2 full back, the full backs can bomb forward and help in attack like roberto carlos and cafu in brazil team, midfield trio of mikel, lampard and ballack or deco and CF’s Didier and anelka, when defending, it can be a 5-3-2 formation, and when attacing , it can be a 3-5-2 formation, Full backs can give the width and pace needed, didier can hold the ball up, and bring midfielders in to play , if the ball is over the top, anelka can be lethal, as he always like to play at the last defender, just a suggestion,, so pls comment,
Hi BC, posted this on the Liverpool report and thought it might be ignored there.
Hi BC, just lurking from Chelseablog. A very nice write up. Sacking Scolari now would be utterly senseless as any new incoming coach would have the same set of players. There are possibilities as to why RA is not funding a rebuild.
a.) A possible ground announcement, rumoured for the Annual report.
b.) He doesn’t like what he sees in Scolari and the fact that he seems unable to get the best from the current highly paid squad.
c.) Scolari is already getting the Mourinho ‘January’ treatment
d.) Very few worthwhile players are available during the transfer window unless you want to be ripped off. Something I agree with Kenyon on.
e.) Scolari will have made his mind up by now about who stays and who goes IN THE SUMMER and that’s when the rebuild to an attacking attractive team really starts
f.) RA is skint
g.) Kenyon and RA are getting the books in order for a possible sale of the club.
Whatever the reasons the daft mentality behind chucking huge amounts of money at very man and his dog is doomed to failure. Man City will find this out as surely as Real Madrid did during their Galactico years. We need decent young players to be bought, with hunger, during the summer and we should ship out deadwood such as Drogba (who doesnt give a shit), Malouda (the worst I’ve ever seen in a blue shirt), Deco (here to fund his retirement), Mineiro (what was his point exactly?) and perhaps Ferreira as well. Alex is a worthy stand in for Riccy and Ivanovic has been nothing short of superb in his appearances this season. The boy deserves his chance. get a couple of pacy wingers (Quaresma if he shows his worth could be one), a new striker (Agbonlahor perhaps) and promote some of the youngsters such as Stoch, Sinclair and Di Santo. take a leaf from Manures book who rarely buy more than 1 or 2 big players per season. Anelka is still dangerous, Belletti a good utility player, Ashley Cole may well be the best this season. JT is still a rock, Ballack and Lampard are so much better without Deco getting in the way and vastly experience. The key is the mixture of experience and youth. Fundamentally not a lot is wrong, we’re just a de-tuned engine at the moment and the new mechanic hasn’t learned to way to fix it.
If Scolari does go then stop crying for Mourinho, it ain’t gonna happen. Zola and Clarke need more time and experience together and in this league. We don’t need ‘European experience’ so stop with the lists of Italians, Portuguese and Spanish….there are two very good candidates in the EPL already. Martin O’ Neill and David Moyes. I quite fancy Moyes as he has the advantage of youth and seems to have the healthy disdain of authority, the hard headedness against egotistical players and the tactical nous to become our own Ferguson and build something long lasting. Scolari may well stay, although at 60 one has to wonder what his long term commitment is likely to be, mind you if he turns it around then he may have another 10 years at this level.
This season is not yet a disaster and maybe if this is our weakest season before we rebuild and start to conquer again we’ll all understand why this was necessary.
cfc
i like that idea, i think bc mentioned it in an earlier blog
we have alot of centrebacks at our disposal so it keeps players like alex happy, it means we keep our solid midfield and we have more attacking threat, just to add to ability, bosingwa now has license to charge up and down and doesn’t need to worry about tracking back so much
i’d always thought that january signings are panic signings which is why i didnt expect any arrivals, until we lost bridge, we should of signed a left back. Im not making excuses, we are still chelsea, but we have been on a decline and I would like to see Scolari complete another season, as far as I am aware, in terms of touted youth talent, germany portugal and brazil are where it’s at
managerwise, I like scolari, had faith in him, he needs to earn it back and i want to see him do so, so perhaps we should reassess come december this year. If we were to change managers, moyes or o’neil would be brilliant, Im sure im not the only person who looks at everton and villa and thinks “wow, imagine what they’d achieve with world class players and money”
Quaresma vows to make an impact at the Bridge
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=615854&sec=england&cc=5901
He’s a skilled player, even though he is known for being a flop, but nobody has ever seen him play in the EPL yet, so give the guy a chance. I’m sure he doesn’t want to go back to Inter after his nightmare spell, if Scolari can bring the best out of him he should make his loan a permanent stay. If the Drogba-Robinho swap rumors are true, we could possibly have a Quaresma-Robinho pairing as attacking wingers. We’ll just need to fill our striker void. Let’s finish this season strong, with pride. Essien should return soon, and Quaresma seems he is determined to help us win any silverware we still can.
Tony Glover,
Good write-up. I think even Ballack, Joe Cole deserves a exit this summer(Ballack for cleaning up books and Joe Cole for his mediocore performance throughout his chelsea carrer

352 doesnt work against the 1 striker style that many teams use these days.
Chelsea plays a 433 because its the most rounded of the formations in terms of midfield strength. That said a 433 really relies on a great striker and we dont currently have one.
Quaresma on the same side as bosingwa will be a waste as the right side will be very weak, its what happens with having a very attacking RB like maicon, bosingwa who goes up, leaves alot of space in the right wing. Also quaresma can play on the left just as well since he can cut in and do this outside of the foot cross. At least malouda will have some1 to challenge his spot.

under desperate circumstances in which we need aerial threat and strengt, we can play both strikers upfront.
for fa cup or when chelsea is winning,di santo, stoch, michael mancienne(if ivanovic leave) should be given more chances
improvement needed to be made:
1) determination in players
2)work rate(ballack and drogba are becoming lazier)
3)aggressiveness(provided the ref is nt biased against chelsea)
4)make more crosses, try more shots(instead of passing and lose the ball)
5)mikel should sharpen his shooting skills
6)scolari tactical changes(need more than 1 attacking appracoh…)making it more unpredictable
7)against teams like liverpool, they press players alott, giving us less space..need to be able to deal with such things.(we allow liverpool to bombard us wif attacks as we only implemented zonal marking)
8)strrikers need to be lethal like torres/berbatov
and correction…ivanovic and replace bosingwa to give a more defensive approach while belleti can play as a utility player in terms of RB or DM
forget abt mineiro…he’s like nt much use to us nw

personally if i was scolari i would charge bosingwa 1 weeks wages and drop him for the next game due to unsportsmanlike conduct. He has hurt the clubs image and appears to have got away with it too easily, the fa rescinded lampards red so lets show good faith and punish bosingwa as well. Mineiro was bought in to be the final choice if every other player got injured kind of thing. Since the DM role is so hard for kids to play(either need alot of strength or good positional ability) not many teams have reserves of them.
Replying to ish:
r u serious? bosingwa was just pissed for the red card and the way they played. ive done so hundred times during games. i belive he did a nice job kicking a pools ass. i laughed my ass off
@57hahahahaa, very true, i wish someone gave a kick on Stevie G’s ass as well, such a diving Ba******. he should hav got a yellow for the tackle, and second one for diving, he should hav been OFfff before half time.

i think this is the best formation that we can play…i think that is better the 4-4-2 that the 4-3-3 this doesn’t suite on Chelsea…
cant belive pleople playing anelka before drogba. even if he wants to leave he is still bether than anelka and have done so much for the club. i still love him and wish him the best. but i would like him to be replaced because he dosnt want to play in chelsea any more but instead i wanna se a good forward like benzema not som one like anelka. as long ass drogba is playing for the blues he should be on the pitch.
out and ins this summer.

Does anyone know what number Quaresma will be wearing in the Chelsea blue? No. 7?
Inter’s plan is apparently to let us keep Quaresma if we send Drogba the other way. I won’t have a problem with that at all if Quaresma can perform in England, as Drogba’s days at a dominant striker in a Chelsea uniform are over. We must then invest in young talent in the offseason. I like Zhirkov, Di Maria, Benzema, etc..
it seems he got the the number 18…. thats odd
ok – I finally got a chance to really look this guy up. Well.. LFS wants a dribbler and if this guy is 1/2 what his demo reel is it will be a breath of fresh air and needed width. The guy runs like Ronaldo (those fast little baby steps) and loves to play the ball on his outside boot.
Unless he can turn water to wine I still think LFS will be out of a job at the end of the season.

enjoy
if he stays after the summer he will ask for the number 7 for sure…. or unless we sign villa
guys what happened to sheva….?? what will we do with him??
sheva?? i think his move to milan was a permanent one, wasnt it? or is he on loan?
I think he is on-loan but surely he isnt coming back. Inter can have Drogba if Quaresma does well. Didier is just not hungry anymore and looks like he cant be arsed. Let him go and bring in another front man or play Kalou or Di Santo but not Anelka on his own, He needs a strike partner.
it was a loan for sheva but no doubt it will be a crespo style move
im certain drogba will leave at the end of the season, i dont think he has a good relationship with scolari, nor much of the team right now
This will be Scolari’s dream team with the squad he has:
Hilario; Ferreira, Carvalho, Alex, Bosingwa; Belletti, Deco, Mineiro; Quaresma, Anelka, Malouda (These two buggers keep playing even though they have not been doing much as of late)
anelka is a decent striker to have, he is an old head that is calm in front of goal. Chelsea style really doesnt suit him yet he is still leading scorer in EPL, malouda even though missing much of the competition on injury had one of the highest assist rates in the EPL. Malouda is so frustrating to watch, some days he plays amazing with little bursts of speed, great crosses and good vision. I think the problem is chelsea play him as a winger when in reality he prefers the role of Left Mid. He really cant cope with the speed needed in the EPL either while i think if he played in italy he would flourish, for a mid tier side like fiorintina, napoli, roma(snigger) he would be quite useful.
I want to see how quaresma goes but at the moment im not holding out for a hero, more a player who can provide something interesting. My biggest problem has been essien’s injury, that has hurt us the most.
Also why are people saying scolari is always playing deco, for the last 2 or 3 games deco has been coming off the bench.
quaresma was training with the number 18 shirt it doesnt mean anything. he could still get the number 7!
Deco trained with number 19 when he first came.
guys we have another striker, did u guys forget that claudio pizarro is on LOAN, we can easily get him back for next season.

haha sorry guys i just read he got number 18
Totally agree with Tony Glover
About David Moyes that is. He’s young and hungry, he preaches hardwork and team spirit and he’s nt one to complain about lack of resources. See what he’s doing with Everton right now. People make these noises about O’Neil. No doubt he’s good bt I jus think Moyes is better. Little money, yet he manages to stay just outside the big 4 every season, even breached it once.
Seriously, the only other team in blue I follow to any extent is Everton, which is down to Moyes and his style of play which screams hard work.
On the subject at hand. I’m not so sure about Agent Q. I was even surprised when JM went for him. He doesnt fit the profile of his kind of player. I guess he thought he could mould him- like he has done Ibra. Lil wonder he had to let him go when the clay proved too stubborn. If JM cnt make a great vessel out of him a doubt Felipe can do anything.
Never mind the shirt number for now, his performances are what is most needed. I believe he’s a good talent but I’ve reserved my excitement for the day he starts to deliver. I wish him very good luck to achieve something great with Chelsea.
karma is a bitch, Rafa!!!!
everton has a good squad thats why. i tell u in 2 years u gonna se rodwell and gosling be top english players. and they have cahill lescott neville also 3 good players. their squad is good and they have english players that fight. chelsea team is staritng to lack that with all the old brazilains and portugues players. no offense to carvalho
IMO Quaresma is a pretty decent player and i hope he will help us make a comeback
bluefan#1
Everton players are good, bt nt as good as chelsea’s- in every position. Notice they are always called the band of brothers. They together with great team spirit that is what a good manager brings to the table. I agree with you on English players. They are more commited than most. They understand the history et.c
On the side, i’ld lke to start a new discussion.
WHAT DOE CHELSEA HAVE TO DO TO GET INTO THE GOOD BOOKS.
Check these out;
We more first team players in the National team than any club
The Captain of the National team plays in this team
We are no longer the team that waves huge capitalist monies at every player
Our coach is so nice he’ll say sorry to a mosquito that just had a blood feast on him
We have absolutely no malicious player on our team ( cmpare with the pools Alonso and Gerard, Arsenal’s Diaby Fabregas, Eboue. Manu’s Scholes and Ronaldo- the world’s best footbller at diving
What else do we have to do
Q: What does Stevie have to do to get a red Card
A: Put a gun to Fabregas’ ( another well loved player) head and pull the trigger.
What does Sir Fergie have to do to get FA reprimand
A: Call the Queen#!@$%^*&())*^%$#@@#$%^&
I had the good fortune to see Quaresma when still in Sporting of Portugal, his debut under the manager Boloni, the guy was light years better than Ronaldo then, and had a fantastic season with only 18 years of age . If he manages his temperament Quaresma could be as good if not better than Ronald.
The problem is going to be if Scollari, will tame theis “mustang”, in form he is much better than Robinho, but maybe not as disciplined.
Expect to see some of his goals with the outside of his boot.
I hope he really delivers all his ability with Chelsea, the guy can be a fantastic player.#
I sure will be going to the matches that he plays.
i think quaresma will come good tommorrow, I see a ridiculous scoreline of 6-0
Ish, I agree with you. We all miss Essien. He was inspirational. With him and Terry we do not need a football tea. I hope Quaresma is not going to be another sulky prima donna. We have too many of them. Anelka, with the amount of opportunity that he has been fed, if he does not score, he will be as valuable Sam Dalla Bona . I wish we have Makele instead of Mikel. At least he is not drunk on match day. Which Chelsea Pub was he loitering in. I hope it is not the World’s End, it is now Chelsea Bar. Fab place just the place for a true blue. Burgers are ace much better than Bodean or Gourmet burgers
Bring back Makele. John Obi Mikel is playing ok. It’s Mourinho we really miss.
I can’t believe these so called professionals on £50k per week and upwards are playing so badly. In the old days under Batesy we expected under achievement & mediocrity. I agree that with the special one & Abramavich’s dosh we got spoiled. I can’t believe they are spending all their time in pubs & clubs. I also went in Chelsea Bar (The Old Worlds End) & it is very nice – none of the players were actually in there at the time. Maybe they were resting? (Perhaps they were doing Karaoke in the downstairs lounges). There is a rumour that Frank Lampard Snr & our Frank have just bought a local pub. Is it the Chelsea Bar (It definitely wont be Rileys along the road aftwer Mike Rileys straight red card….)

please read this.. anelka is so right!!
LOL
NOT excited AT ALL
i still remember the long post here about how chelsea were going to beat man utd for the champions league. Apart from how convincing it looked, it was bullshit to many. So yea…maybe u can consider packing your bags and get sold by abramovich who is losing interest in your pathetic performance more and more
love the blues and hate chelsea a very stupid club
