Felt like a 900-minute match. I don’t remember when Chelsea was last humiliated like this before. When was the last time we lost by a three-goal margin to a rival? This has to be the biggest Chelsea defeat of recent times. We did not deserve a point, leave alone a win. There was no desire, no hunger, no determination and no feeling of guilt. We produced nothing. We made the same defensive errors. We did not even trouble van der Sar. Did he even touch the ball? Scolari’s job is not at all safe. I’m sorry. I have no sympathy for Scolari. With what we have seen so far, he has failed and refuses to learn from his failures.
Surely this result does not have anything to do with Robinho not joining us. It does not have to do with one Essien missing in our team. It does not have to do with players being in their late 20s and early 30s. It does not have to do with us not having any dribbling playmakers. So, the fact is Scolari has run out of excuses and this defeat is so bad that he simply can’t make any excuses. Like many times under his regime, we failed to create one decent chance in a match of 90 minutes. And we managed to concede three goals while we had Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Ashley Cole, Bosingwa and Mikel. Can there be any excuses?
Yes, Drogba was useless today. He must not have played 90 minutes and still he was persisted. Anelka came in but did not play as a striker. Joe Cole must have been gone with Drogba by half time. Kalou should have come on instead of Belletti. Our 4-1-4-1 was found out months back by all our rivals and opponents. Fergie must have been happy to know that Drogba and Anelka were not starting in a 4-4-2. He must have even jumped for joy that we are playing our 4-1-4-1. I thought Scolari is a poor tactician but I must say he is a disaster, tactically. Man Utd had Evans, Neville, Fletcher, Park and Giggs; and we lost to them 3-0? Fergie didn’t even have to use Tevez! And we played one of our strongest team with Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Ashley Cole, Bosingwa, Mikel, Lampard, Ballack, Deco, Joe Cole and Drogba!
I think this is one of the worst Chelsea performances and defeats in Roman’s era. The scoreline is very humiliating. The performance was even more humiliating. Like the club website says, we let three goals in three crosses, two of them from set pieces. In fact, Man Utd had a legitimate goal from a corner ruled out. Our set piece defending is still awful. I wonder why we don’t learn from those obvious mistakes. I can’t believe that our defence consisting of Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Bosingwa, Ashley Cole and Mikel can be so poor? They can’t be. Not all of them and not so often. Something is fundamentally wrong. Very wrong.
We did not have one decent chance on goal. I can’t even count us unlucky or anything. While players like Drogba and Joe Cole were terrible, I have to say we created nothing. There was simply no supply at all. To be exact, there was ONE shot on goal and even that one was a pop. Such is our state, when Man Utd went up, I was sure that we’re going to be defeated. I was hoping that I would be proved wrong but not to be. After Man Utd scored their second goal, the game was over even though 30 minutes were still to be played. There was no Chelsea onslaught. Chelsea did not feel insulted or humiliated. There was still no urgency and desparation. Instead, what we saw was just dropped shoulders and unhurt egos.
Scolari admitted that this defeat has done a huge damage to our confidence:
I think it’s done big damage, very big damage [to our confidence] because we didn’t come here to play for this situation. We were thinking about winning the game but now we need to think about the result and what has happened with some of our players and some of our defending at set-plays. We definitely need to change something in the future.
If he talks about some of our players and some of our defending, then he’s talking about most of our team. There are too many things going wrong in some alarming frequency. Has he lost the dressing room? The next few days could be very revealing. Finally, he admits that he needs to change something. I wonder what he has in his mind when he talk about ‘change’?
I think we lost our confidence when we lost against Liverpool and we have gone downhill since then. This match, this result and this admission from Scolari is a milestone in his short Chelsea career. I’m almost certain that Scolari would never resolve our problem. That’s because he himself has been our problem or at least the root cause of most of our problems. It is primarily his job to bring the best out of his players, make them play to their potential, keep their feet on the ground and keep them motivated and inspired. If he doesn’t these things well, he would be our problem.
Yesterday, I was watching the season review DVD of the season 05-06. That was the second title-winning season under Jose Mourinho. That was a different Chelsea. We struck fear in all our rivals. We were ruthless, determined and we would kill to win. We would not concede that easil and if we did, we would come back like wounded animals. About one-third of our goals were from set pieces. I don’t remember conceding any from a set piece. We had organisation, discipline, team work. And we had Jose Mourinho. That’s a distant past. In another week or so, we could be in the third place and fighting with Aston Villa for the third place. With another 17 matches to go, that’s no situation to be doom and gloom. But as I have mentioned before, I don’t see any promise with Scolari. He has not improved us in any aspect. Under him, Chelsea has become weaker, undoubtedly. I don’t think you’d ask for a proof anymore. We have Southend United on Wednesday. Should I be worried about that match? How lower should my expectations be?

Thank you luis felipe scolari , you have screwed chelsea
in the last four year, never have a team lost by a worst margin that you have in the one single season. You have brought disharmony to the team , lost our home record , sold player and brought some useless brazilians.
and this 6 MM pound useless fellow doesn’t even know who is injured in the team as well .
When we had JM, we were strong at home and away
When we had AG, we were strong at home and ok away
With LFS, we have lost both home and away advantage ..
I am logging out ..
Well i just don’t understand how we couldn’t score one goal, what is going on with Chelsea, they really need to fix up and sort themselves out.
I think we have no chance of coming top now with this poor performance,
may be we might stand a chance in the Fa Cup/Champions league if they don’t go messing that up.
If I am roman, I would sell
Terry to Man City – 20 or 30 million we can pocket
drogba – any takers to what ever we get
ballack
Kaluo – some dutch club
Pocket the money as their stock value is falling faster than NASDAQ.
God dammit 3-0, that has to be the worst result we have picked in years, man this is jus pathetic. I don’t think even Man Utd must of thought that they are going to walk away with a one sided landslide of a result like that. 3-0 for fuk sake 3-0, great start to the year!! What hits like a ton of bricks is that if we feel like this then imagine the pain the chelsea players must be goin threw atm and this is only going to shake their confidense further. CFC your sayin exactly what is on my mind, home form destroyed, away form destroyed, what’s left for the competitors to fear now?? This result means we will most definetly go 3rd in the table, Villa only a point behind us, utd will top the table by winning their 2 games in hand and are 5 points ahead of us, liverpool 4 points ahead of us, so which eva way u look it atm under mr.brazilian were in hot water. Im jus thinking what the hell is next in store for us, southend knockin us out of the FA cup would be the icing on the cake i guess now. This is jus heart-breaking man, this is not our chelsea, this is not what we stand for, and all this in front on JM aswell.
epl race is over 4 chelsea
Thank you Scolari, for making me feel stupid for expecting a Chelsea win, now get the fuck out of here. Drogba can fuck off too.
Quoting heyjose
Hey the season will be over mid week . good thing is we have still 15 days for transfer window, lets sell some one and keep the money in the bank. player should be cheap in aug becuase of financial crisis.
@scolari
….now you are not only loved by the players but by every single fan…..you lunatic
Darkest Day in Chelsea FCs recent history…never before have i ever been so embarrassed to see my team play (if that even counts as playing). We were owned in every department by a Man Utd side that was hungry for a goal and a win. If the team thinks their in the same league as Man Utd, theyve gotta be kidding themselves, I’d say snap out of the dream, and come live reality…we’re playing like a mid-table team, Aston Villa, hell even Hull City are superior to us with respect to hunger and game play.
Tell me, how many times have you seen a Chelsea team not attempt to shoot at All ?! If Mourinho was removed for This kind of ”beautiful football” then I’m sorry, but our thought process is seriously messed up. Even Derby County outplayed Man Utd (albeit a weakened one) but hey this one wasnt the strongest either.
A Dark, Dark day it is. Scolari, get prepared for a trophyless season and a one-way ticket to Brazil by May.
We didnt deserved anything from this game.how can u score a goal without creating a single chance.where as united has got chance after chance after chance…..there was no time to show the replay of uniteds chances.there is another one.
Fergie come in and supported SCOLARI ,he wont get any easier Chelsea team to beat than that of SCOLARIs .
Jose would have smiled inside after he seen the game.

we didnt tries to counter attack the opponents.we want our 10 field players want to touch 3 times each before scoring the goal.by the time the opponents were bored by waiting in the box.we doesnt play long balls because thats doesnt contain in the books of beautiful football !!…
that man not going to study anything .why the players dont?…
Im sorry SCOLARI …u can go..
Even ag will do..

I wish Scolari is sacked tommorow morning !! Di Santo marking Berba ?? I can make better strategies !!
Scolari ………….. no good at all….
whr is the desire hunger the passion in players… our players
the Chelsea i`ve known is full of life and can burn MAN u anyday any time….
Roman Do Somethin Fast
Now this is looking comic, but we canno tdo anything till the end of the season. Expect bigger surprises next season. We may get a new owner as well.
We didn’t deserve to win this match as we are playing very poor..Look at Mr. Drogba, he just missed lots of opportunities to score goals and his clumsiness in handling the ball. What a shame that LFS did not retreat him off the pitch..Overall what i can say, Chelsea is in need of a new manager…It seems like LFS tactics is not working out in EPL for some reasons..This is what we need to criticize of,the pace of the game is not on track of what a top flight teams should be.We have been deteriorated days by days. This is the sign of new manager should be introduced. Since there is still 15 days before the the transfer window closed. FORMER BARCA MANAGER will be a great signings for Chelsea FC…
C’mon Roman, do something!!!!!
Deco, Drogba, Scolari, Ballack must go.As simple as that mates…
big reshuffling will happen this summer after a season this is setting up to be.
hugely devastating lose to have to watch cause the boys had a decent first half and just imploded in the second!
really hard to stomach to be quite honest, with my pride all shot to hell and all, but big things will happen this summer!
very big things. and Drogba gave the ball away almost every time this morning.
I couldn’t count one good pass play in succession from him! and the rest of the team weren’t any better in the second half to be honest as NO chances were generated?
that to me is just absurd!
No new manager this season though! It’s the mans first flight in Europe and if we are to make a change (which I’m hoping we don’t as we don’t need yet another coach with a 2 years span!) it should be done in the off season!
Franco di santo was marking berbatov for the third goal – It tells the knowledge about Scolari .
How did he win the world up . May be there was no other super power playing that year. Holland did not travel and unlucky Italy lost to controversial South Korea goal..
First this guy should be kicked out.. with nothing much to play in EPL, I would we can promote our youth or reseve coach till summer and wait to see if JM is available. If inter doesn’t go past Man U , then most likely there is a possibility.
Players that need to be let go for fresh blood…
1) Drogba
2) Ballack
3) Malouda (unfortunately)
4) Ferreira (should have gone a long time ago)
5) Deco (simply too old and looks to not care about what kind of performances he puts in)
6) Mineiro
7) Alex (we don’t need any unhappy players here)
I’d love to see some of the promising youth integrated into the first team full fold next season so they can start to come of age. And as far as our new purchases, they need to be youthful and have promise for low current buy and high progression/ sale value! No more of these 30 year olds who lack commitment to a cause because they are too old to either care or have no ambitions aside from a sturdy pay check.
I said it was needed from this summer and we waited a little too late! We can still keep the decent core we have and let go of those players that are on the fringe with some new promising talent as well as some youthful experience! We need to revert back to our wingers and we dearly need an attacking outlet that is actually potent!
@18…
I’m sure Scolari did not tell Di Santo to go and mark Berbatov so just stop throwing mud where it doesn’t belong because we are all frustrated at the lose! It was an in the moment marking match up as the game was practically over. What did us in was the fact that we were lazy in the second half and outworked by the likes of fringe players like Park Ji Sung! Ryan Giggs did major damage as well!
@20 – did you talk to Franco to confirm this.
Quoting joseisgreat
Lol!
@21
did you talk to Scolari to confirm your accusation?
Oh yeah, I was with him, when was blinking his eye and shaking his hands..
http://www.goal.com/en/news/1711/chelsea/2009/01/11/1055805/defeat-has-done-big-damage-to-chelsea-confidence-admits-scolari
Stupid fool . We lost confidence when we lost the home record. Idiot told we know how to mark ronaldo .. Avram grant knew that better.
Today was a good day………….for man u.
The turning point in the game was VIDIC goal, I hate him cause he is good defender and I hate to se specially him score agains us. WHY THE **** Aint for example AJole not positioning himself near the farpost. and the worst thing about the first goal was, they had warned us with their first quick-try. so we should have been on our toas. And Peter Cech.. damn thats stuff he should handle. I know it was a good header by vidic but cech is not bein superb the way he used to be. that really killed our spirit and lived up man us spirit. I was scared that if he didnt score quickly in the second it would be a long long day. second half.. forget about it..we were running around like headless chickens.
drog I been backing him up and defending him fo so far but today he was shit. everybody was shit beside Mikel. he did standout.
and we just made tso immortal now. I hate that shit. WTF was coach doing after they scored the second goal??????????????????????? why even bother put in da santos when it was like 6-7 min left? to do what? if your down and ur losing the only thing than can happen by making changes is u give ur side a chance to get back into the game if not atleast u tried cause u were already losing so it wont matter. but to be honest I wasnt surprised of coachs action or should I said non-action. seen it before.
I have this empty feeling that I really hate. am not even mad its beyond. its easier if you bast ur ass and really put up a fight and lose or if you have a bad day but this was just freakin embarrasing ppl.
its easy to point out heads and blame specific players but the bottom line is we arent playing in a system we feel comfortable in and we dont have any good team defence anymore (which i cant understand how that can just vanish from the surface of earth like that). We need to play teamball. we seem to be tacticly retardad. specially when we get behind. its like we are clueless out there. every time we had the ball on their halfs we didnt know what to do wit it or whom to give it to.
Today we got a reality check. this is our reality. this wat we have been afraid would when we were playing the smaller teams.
I been saying this all along..the team that is ahead of man u after the last game will win the league. Man u is the team to beat.
I want the old stubborn fart to realize that he cant really go on doing what he is. and if he dont stop this downfall pretty soon he will be on someones hitlist!!!
stay easy ppl
I think this season is finished for us!!!
one more thing..excuse ma spelling ppl. I cant do anything right now I betta stop writing here
its the response after the goal which irked me the most….even with a man down last year we tried to attack late on last year..n the year b4 that..the second half kinda symbolized chelsea..bt this time…**** ing idiots didnt wanna run around..drogba was useless…so was anelka..mikel played well but was at fault for the first goal…but lets still be optimistic..we r better off at this time than we were last year..so maybe we can make a comeback..we need some luck and loads more chelsea heart n courage…n hell..we need ESSSSSSIEN!!!!!!!KTBFFH!!!
Drogba, Malouda, Fereira, mineiro, Ballack, Deco, Alex out we need a refrsh right now we must give some more time to Di Sancto, Sinclair and of course we must sign some young players tha will really help the team to play better football. Look Scolari is not a bad coach but we need the right players like he has in Brazil and in Portugal if we can’t give them it doesn’t worth to stay in London…
I fail to understand the attitude of our coach . When we lead 3-0 , we don’t play Franco or Sinclair. Today when we were down 2-0, should we have given a chance to Salomon , who scored the equalizer at bridge . At least he has scored more than Franco for the moment..
I fail to understand .. even one consolation goal would have been respectable.. richardo and terry were very bad.. they have not played often this season, so I hope they might improve.. rooney should have got an yellow . I have to admit Rafa bring a valid point..
Is this the end of the season – EPL, yes because I don’t know how we will overcome a 5 point deficit, because our record in top 4 teams is 3 loses and one draw and the next two away games are not any easier – liverpool and villa..
FA cup – you never know . even if we win southend, our next opposition is also a championship side, once we reach semis may liverpool or man u might play a full strength side because they might be fighting for cl and epl.
CL – it all depends on luck , if we go past Juventus, and if we get to play home games in second leg – may be , but this year it is really tough teams..
Were do we go from here – depending on the outcomes of the next few EPL games, may be we start playing Scoot Sinclair on wings and Franco and Anelka upfront to see what we need to buy in Summer.. drogba is abusing chelsea too much ..
Dont know about EPL as theres still a long way to go, but after seeing such poor comitment to the game from some players I would put 2 or 3 youngsters rotating in team ASAP.At least they know they have something to prove and are willing to give their best.
Even Anelka was puting some pressure to recover the ball, something I didnt see from Drogba or Balack,I mean: even Deco in the first half was constantly trying to put pressure on MU half to recover the ball.
Droga didnt even tried to get one shot right, you clearly see his body movements that he doesnt even prepares the (few) shots he takes. Its just like hes there because he doesnt know “how can I get out of this?”.And the passes? How many turn overs on his clumsy passes?Would love to see some player statistics on this game…
And DiSanto for JCole?Im hoping Scolari doesnt pushes JCole trought the door…
Oh,and someone plz tell Drogba that respect, love and understanding is a 2 way street and the few fans like me are stoping making excuses for his lack of comitment.
Sry if I seem grumpy but Chelsea is giving me the Blues
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/7808369.stm ( way down , you can listen to video of Luis Scolari ) .
Oh no this is the worst thing, I’ve everseeen.I know how angry everyone is.Damn you Scolari, even I a fifteen year old can even field in a better team than you did and even better strategies.Even at my age, I always correct my mistakes.Same goal four times.Damn it, the whole chelsea team is fucked up. Scolari’s appointment was a big mistake Roman. Even Arsenal would have done better.Even with their youthful and less experienced squad they were able to beat Manutd.Oh man why is this happening. The shortest writing by BC I’ve ever seen.
Man, certain things need to be done.
1. Axe Scolari if possible(Appoint someone who has league experience and can make better team.
2.Damn double axe Deco(shit brazilian) he is killing the team(Even Rijkaard said he was the one who fuked up his team and sold him)
3.Let some players go and bring in some:
Mineiro(Shit Brazilian never added anything to the team(even Appiah would have done great than Deco and Mineiro)
Ferreira(must go long time)
Why did he sell bridge if he knew he had no left footed midfielder.Damn you Scolari.
Drogba(I thought he would come off good after sometime but everyone sees he does not care.Maybe because Mourinho was around his damn mind was telling him its Inter INter.Shit Drogba leave goooooo far from chelsea you are a nightmare.
Alex, if he wants to go let him go .We want some cash Scolari.
John terry my number one captain now looks like he’s aging and has lost the vigor he had in him(Replace him with Mancienne the guy is hungry to progress these are the players we need people who are determined to make it)
Bosingwa:Saw him as a revelation to the team but now hell no he doesn’t bother anymore.Even Rafael knows how to back track when he loses the ball he’s also a RWB but knows he has to come back to protect the team better change bosingwa.
Ballack has to go he’s damn old about 34 this guy is only interested in the cash, he’s lost his uniqueness and is now shit since he’s damn aging.
Even a 40+ Anelka has even gone serious about things.
Malouda has got to go(We can’t keep injured players but must get a replacement because he’s somewhat good)
Joe Cole oh I’m dissapointed in you, used to be one of my favourite.Bad times boy.
Cech needs to go on Rehab to get his superb reflexes back after his injury it looks like he’s somewhat of his IQ.Gotta get serious boy at least try.
I believe we all have shown the better side of our faith in our team. Chelsea fc will forever remain, what about you/us? we all have failed. We all have lived in the glory. lets face this reality. Scolari, was highly praised wen he was hired; now you want him fired. what a rhyme! Deco, Ballack, Drogba, name them. I am not writing as you all did, but i will give scolari till the end of the season. i don’t care what we all have in mind, but lets be logical. Every team wants a pound off chelsea. Every player needs a better pay check playing Chelsea. Every fan, needs a comment like we all have done. What do the players need? You and I.
This may sound dumb, but the season is almost over. Kudos to all that have contributed to the failure and success of the blue champions. we remain champions, because the records will forever hold that.
I blame Steve Clarke myself, running out on us a couple of weeks into a new season to go to West Ham, of all places, instead of sticking around to provide some sort of continuation, and link for the players, and Scolari. He was the reason Avram Grant did as well as he did last season. Get rid of Ray Wilkins and get Scolari someone who can really help him to boost the players morale, and confidence. Even Terry has lost his passion, and belef in the club.
Sinclair is my number one player for the wings, bring him on despite his age or inexperience teach him the basics and let him add some asset to his dribbling and pace. 4-1-4-1 is bad no width and heavy in the midfield stupid formation even in game i wouldn’t even play this formation.
Give Sinclair and Stoch the wings and I know something would happen for chelsea.
If Arsenal had Sinclair in their team.I reckon Wenger would place him and Theo on the wings and he definitely expects something great from them.Since Robben we aint got any good winger fix sinclair into the left and he would be excellent.I have faith in him.
Horrible…..Horrendus….Pathetic…..Useless…….Down right Infuriating….saddening performance from chelsea……………..Absolutely shocking display from once the strongest club in europe (it seems so freakin loong ago)……This i cant beleive is happening ………..
Every chelsea fan out there must feel pain which they have never felt before …….pain tht we thought was non-existent..to us……Pain which we thought were destined to impose on every freakin club tht came our way ………..for years…!!!! ,
How could we lose 3- nil man 3 whole frekin nil…..when did tht ever happen man ???……We didnt create one bloody clear cut chance……..Wht were our shots on target 0..ZERO………!!….zero people …..bloody hull scored 3 against this inflated man u side…!!!…
This man u side is not superior to us….we proved tht over tht last 4 yrs…we proved it in the cl final……….honestly speaking hell they were average today..nothing great……..they gave away possession too easily…..Their passing wasnt good…..
All this but still we lost ….u know why??….cause in our heads we never thought we could win…we never though we could rip them apart to smitherins at their own stinkin ground…..!!!…hell i am sure we never thought we could get a draw!!!!!!!!!!…We had zero passion….Zero confidence…..!!!!!……we were once again tactically outwitted!!,,,,Those scumbags MANUREs had the audacity to try tht ancient corner trick against us!!!!!…….hell even though it was wrongly diallowed we still didnt learn…and napped liked babies for the next corner..!!!….
Di santo was brought on 85 th minute when we should of thought of doin damage control!!!!!…..hell if he wanted to win the match wht the hell was he waitin for in the 2nd half…….get kalou remove ballack…..get some width and freakin go for the kill Damn it!!!!!!……Bloody play for winning not to put on pathetic useless show by doin 3 touch crap passes…!!!..why the heck dont we shoot!!!!!…Shoot A*******S..!!!A B C of foot ball shoot!!!…and they dont or cant …hell they know it!!!!………..
van der saar could have as well brought his blanket and slept near the goal post…..he had nothing to do …other than jump like a maniac….when his team scored goals…!!…..
And i mean useless goals….1st one terry had to handle evans and vidic. together…!!!!….great!!!….2nd one…..rooney sticks his foot between ashleys legs..when ball is coming towards ashley….another shit piece of defending…..!!…3rd goal…..they were so confident they hatched a plan right there…..vidic bullied that helpless di santo kid ..into a block!!! and berba scores…..!!….man these are such easy goals we gave them….its makes me cringe….!!!!!….thinkin that scolari was defender in his playing days!!!!!!!!!……
i dont know what will happen to this club …got no hope of anythin this year….!!,,,,,i just hope Abram realizez wht a great folly he did…by lettin go of JM….U hit by recession??…u dont wana buy new players???…then get Jm..here he will get the best out of these guys u have got!!!!…..kich these ray wilikin and all these ghost workers out!!!!,,,,.
……….In the end …i would like to say this…..Great teams are built by great coaches…….And scolari isnt…..a great coach…………
yeah that the beautiful football you wanted abra ha ?!! so enjoy it and also fack yourself and peter fu-ck you too . big bastard phil what else you wanted from fu-ckin us . isn’t it enough ? please take you money and go please please man go and fu-ck up another team else where . we can’t take it anymore .
we have 17 more games…?!.. I don’t think he can win 7 let alone the 17 of them …. why is that we are the only ones you see that we are in a hot hole!!! and we can get our…..scolari cant get us out..!!! O how I said it months ago .. this man will not lead us to the promise land.. so thats 3 seasons now we could have won the EPL … and had it fcuked away from us…. really the management it fcuking us so hard its not even funny anymore, I want scolari gone…
maybe thats why they wont give him anymore right….. let a new man come in .. and build his own team.
this is some shit!
Our season over very soon.Shame to this team. They fucked up every thing.JM is the happiest man in the world.I dont wana see scloari anymore.
Every team in the world is improving, except chelsea. It all started with jose sacking you russian bastard. You destroy chelsea by your hands.
you know thats the fcuked up ting about it!!! not one fcuking chance!!! NOT ONE!!! SCOLARI SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF….. AND JUST QUIET!! he cant do the business
Bring on rijkard and Hen Ten Cate together and our style will be improve.Chelsea need a great clear out and a revolution .Chelsea need to get younger.
@45 – Hen Ten cate will not come back . That was the only change we needed in summer . replace grant with Rijkaard.
Rijkaard, ten cate & steve clarke .
Will the board back Scolari? Is he the right man? Is it too early to get rid of him? We have lost against all the ‘top four`, does he have the tactical know how?
Giggs is 35 and runs harder than J. cole, Deco, malouda….. what the fuck is going one. i feel so bad…….. it really hurts!!! gutted!
about your right…. one change.. was to be grant out!
by the way brace your selves cause he is gonna fuck us out of the CL as well!
40 | Michael…..a very disappointed blue….
i would like to correct you….
Great teams are built by great managers! ….scolari isnt a great manager…….. he is a coach!
Quoting denver
If giggs doesn’t run, Sir Alex will kick him out .. btw, I think the score was 5-0, two goals disallowed for ronaldo , which were legitimate.. Ref saved from humilation.
thanks ref!
i don’t think they sack him because it’s the fcukin blatant for them.
Very disappointed fan! =(
Our form has been very disappointing and this really rubs the salt.

there is one simple solution, SACK SCOLARI AND GET A DECENT MANAGER, and you´ll start loving the hardworking guys you mentioned to leave again!!! Earlier players used to wait years to get into first team, now they all wanna leave. Who´s fault is it?
Correction– “Earlier players were ready to wait years to get into first team, now they all wanna leave. Who´s fault is it?”
I have lurked on this site for a long time. This is my first comment. I understand the frustration. I agonize with you. On the other hand, let me say this and I hope I speak for all of us. I am not excusing what happened today. I am gutted, but these are the days when I love my club the most. These are the days when my Chelsea blood is the bluest. These are the days when nobody else gives a damn about us. These are the days when all we have is ourselves. These are the days when we are truly “Care free” and “we don’t give a damn whoever you may be cause we are the famous CFC! I’d rather be wearing a blue shirt, following our side in the Blue Square Premier, than spend one second in any other shirt of a side that is “top of the league and having a laugh.” So, as any good Chelsea fan, I say down with Tottenham, Arsenal, West Ham, Manure, and…..the Doleboys! Keep the Blue Flag Flyin High! Chelsea!…Chelsea!…Chelsea!…..’till the day I die! Here’s a link to one of the greatest sounds in the world. Have it ringing in your ears today! http://www.fanchants.com/football-songs/chelsea-chants/carefree/
i actually released tears today
if we placed a marker where each shot that scored was taken, im certain they would be more or less in the same place,
we fielded the formation exactly how expected, scolari surprised me by taking deco off at half time, i would have subbed ballack for belletti as he just wasn’t cutting it today. Ferguson always surprises me, fletcher? park? giggs? fair play to ryan, he had a good game, well, it played to his advantage
the first goal conceeded, at first i thought you had to wait for the whistle before corners, but now I see that it was a legitimate goal, i watched the game on sky, two players saw rooney drag it out of the corner reservation, one moved, but quickly stopped, why?! in all fairness, a very clever goal had it not been ruled out. And rightly said (cant remember who) but that should have woken us up, and it didnt’t. Now funadmentally in most sports, always watch the ball and your man, were terry and ballack doing that? no. I know it isnt always easy, but at this level of football, no excuse. ballack dropped off evans, realised his mistake but by that time, terry had taken his eye of vidic in an attempt to reposition and that gave vidic the space he needed. United sat back more than usual, they usually go all out for the first 20 minutes and then sit back, but not today. Avery sparse attack, it made me laugh the amount of times I saw them breaking with berbatov jogging and finally walking. I said this match would depend on cole and rooney, ronaldo was neutered as usual, all the energy came from joey and shrek. Rooney got very malicious and although the ref is very poor, I fail to see how he stayed on after that swipe on the left wing at bosingwa when the ball was already out of play, in front of webb? poor.
We did very well at holding possession around the box as we do, but for some reason, today, no crosses, we concentrated on outpacing vidic and evans which is a game i dont like. Our final ball, very poor, the best pass i saw was bosingwas mid cross that didn’t quite reach an unmarked ballack. Second half I expected us to come out and score early, expected anelka to start at the half but was shocked deco came off? knock? cover story. The problem I noticed in the first half, is Drogba was lazy, he refused to muscle over vidic and evans, nor neville so the gaps for lampard and ballack were not opening. He had to keep tracking back to recieve the ball and even when anelka came on, they were still recieving mid way between the half way and penalty box. We should have kept the penetration game going, and changed drogba for anelka as we weren’t playing much of an aerial game. The only players I can say made real effort today, were terry, cech and mikel. You can blame cech for some goals, and he did make a fumble but to even get a hand to vidic’s header demands respect, maybe in form he would of kept it out, but we shouldn’t demand that from him. We demand the power on our set pieces
Next thing to slate, ricardo carvahlo. Chelsea epitomises class, greatness. When you grab a players shirt, especially a fellow international, it is disgusting and even worse when you argue with the ref and call him a diver. Ricky C had a horrid performance today, another example of why I prefer Alex. In the build up to Berbatov’s goal, why is an inexperienced di santo left to mark berbatov? carvahlo should have been with him, I don’t care about height, Di santo does not have epl instinct, you cant expect more of him, terry could have done more to stop berbatov but it was smart play form vidic.
Ashley ashley ashley, really should of at least got an on target shot earlier but doddled as did everyone else in the box. With rooney’s goal, why was ashley’s foot not meeting it? why was rooney able to toe poke it through his legs? It seemed today there was no desperation, no urgency from the majority of the team With all our long range shooters, why did i not see many?
mikel did make some serious blunders, but he kept working, and when we went 2-0 down, he showed urgency to try and push the ball up the field and open up space for drogba, this season will be a learning curve for him.
I question the belletti for bosingwa move. Was scolari praying for a long range strike? Bosingwa and belletti are similar in the idea of not tracking back so why bother give us the problem we had last season? Bosingwa was directly responsible for rooney’s goal, surely he should have tracked back as he saw the ball rolling, challenged evra? nope, didnt bother, just like every goal we conceed
We needed joey to take the ball past players, attract markers, but with all the one on ones he got, he simply didnt, he let me down especially as rooney wasn’t much better.
it seems to me, scolari has put emphasis on the passing game but cant pressure our team to do what they used to.
So whats going on? surely kalou could have been brought on, why bring on franco for 8 minutes? why not kalou at 60 or 70? why leave ballack on the pitch? why leave drogba on the pitch
what has become apparrent, is many players don’t love chelsea
some respect it as a newly established superpower, some have come here to become great players and make a name for themselves (drogba) some came here to follow their friends (ferreira, deco) and others are here as a last ditch effort to win something (ballack)
our players simply aren’t doing what is standard anymore.
I don’t care about titles so much now, I’d much rather see our team playing well and losing from poor refereeing than see them consistantly play like they just got out of bed.
belletti needs to go, he was bought as a temporary hold because we could not get daniel alves who is doing just fine at barca, ferreira could not adapt to play the way we need him to, and bosingwa is tempermental, adding dimension as well as taking it away. sell belletti and ferreira, bring in someone who is hungry for the position, mancienne? cork?
i am not a big carvahlo fan, he does make terry look alot more comfortbale, but id be much happier watching him with alex who wants to start, so let him, carvahlo is 31 i believe, alex is 26/7, let it happen, plenty of years together
it is apparent bosingwa is having positive impacts on ashley, but his roaming is pushing joey more infield where he won’t dribble which loses space, and his refusal to track back is costing us
ballack is winding down, today, he seemed to have the right idea, but his body quite simply couldn’t do what we required of it, so some young central midfielders need to start making a name for themselves, i think michael johnson could do very well here, im not sure how lee sawyer or michael woods are getting along these days
left wing position, sell malouda. I am very favourable of messi, and podolski, but failing that for whatever reason, we have sinclair stoch and tejera so why dont we try it
di santo can develop into an all round striker, drogba and anelka are not what we need, i dont care if anelka is the top scorer, does he really do us favours right now? i do not think so. Drogba is not hungry, he said himself he has no passion, that is not a chelsea player, he is there for his paycheque, so lets give him that private jet again and send him back to france, i defend him no longer
integrating our youth players seems like the thing to do, it could solve our shortages, without having to splash out on big names ie podolski
let today be a wake up call, we are mortal, we do not accept this feeling, i never, ever want to see a day like this again
Man utd were not brilliant, they were very wasteful like us, they played a very paced game and scored all their goals from all the same places
still recovering from the bomb shell that scolari dropped three days ago – not knowing the player who is injured in his team that I am bombarded by another result.. Should stop watching the game for sometime before I get normal..
I want to give a free advise to scolari – play a very defensive formation now on – 4-2-3-1 .. with the way we are allowing goals, have two defensive mid fielders – miniero and mikel, and play lampard in the center with joe cole and kalou or maluda . play any striker as I feel both of them are useless .. need 10 chances to score one..
Pathetic. We will struggle to make the top four this season. We need to a new young coach like Rikaard. Drogba, Joe Cole , and Ballack need to be sold.
Read this article. Literally went to tears. Sir alex planned for this match 2 weeks in advance.. everything was planned. God knows what is going on at chelsea training ground .. Good that Roman did not watch this because he must be wondering what more to do after spending 700 MM.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Darren Fletcher and Ryan Giggs were the slightly unusual combination that Alex Ferguson selected for this afternoon’s crucial face-off against Chelsea at Old Trafford, not a choice that many observers would have inked into their potential line-ups.
But the master was proved right yet again, as the young Scot and veteran Welshman combined to dominate the centre of the park and help United to a highly impressive 3-0 victory.
Giggs, indeed, received a standing ovation from the Old Trafford crowd when he was replaced late on by Michael Carrick.
“Honestly, Ryan was fantastic,” Ferguson gushed to MUTV, before claiming, “I kept him particularly for this game, I rested him.
“I told him two weeks ago he and Darren Fletcher would play against Chelsea. I thought this game was made for them, given Ryan’s ability to hold the ball and beat a man in midfield with that left foot. Ballack couldn’t live with him really.”
Ferguson also revealed that he was perfectly aware that it was a gamble he was taking though, and a gamble that could have backfired, but the risk had allowed his team to reap a rich reward.
“It could have been a mistake – it’s very easy to make a mistake when you’ve got a squad of 23 players. Genuine mistakes of course because you want to pick a team that wins and the supporters understand that. But today it worked and I’m glad it did,” he added.
Giggs also supplied the cross for United’s disallowed goal, a headed effort by Cristiano Ronaldo that resulted from a cunning corner ploy. After United were awarded a corner, Rooney put the ball in the arc and quickly rolled it into play for Giggs to collect and cross. The Chelsea defence were taken by surprise and Ronaldo netted, only for it to be chalked off because the linesman didn’t see it properly.
Ferguson was not amused, his irritation apparent from his unfinished sentence: We’ve worked at that. When you work at it and it’s disallowed because the linesman’s not watching…

I woke up this morning excited at Chelsea facing united I’m goin to bed tonite feeling degenerated and frustrated. Our players simply didn’t turn up however much of the blame also lys with the fans. For too long SB has been an unatmospheric dump last time I was there I could have read a book without a problem. Set pieces are a disaster for us we never put men on the posts which only can be a direct instruction frm LPS. It’s ludacris how we operate in deffense. We have no ‘flair’ players especially on the left since we sold duff robben etc we have let’s face it been shit. Scolari can’t speak fluent English how does he hold a dressing room full of big names and egos!? Impossible he sounds like borat most of the time!!! I think Chelsea’s season is kaput. Players which we should be looking at to come in are….. Affley, di angel, messi, aguerro, possibly kenwye jones as a long term drogba replacement. Players out are malouda, deco, ballack, and our weakest link jon obi mikel. We need a good inspirational manager martin oniel is up there with the best our main priority would be to BRING BACK JM!!!!!!!
players out: anelka, drogba, balack, deco, malouda
players in: benzema, bellamy, g.bale (for bridge), g.barry, ben arfa, (ribery)
the selling of the players will bring in money for this types of players.
benzema strong and a hope for the future, bellamy a great striker that wants more than west ham. ben arfa and ribery very fast and good and the bouth wants out. g.barry wants out and a hell of a player. gareth bale a great left back for the future.
we need changes and let them be smart. and for managers i would kill the so harry redknapp and steve clarke..
PLEASE ROMAN ABRAMOVICH READ THIS
Nothing more to say. Chelsea sunk to the absolute bottom. It simply cannot be worse. Avram Grant maybe was not a top coach, but he at least had a competent team around him and was able to learn from his mistakes. Now we have a Brasilian circus, unable to speak to most of the team (how do you want to motivate players at half-time with a translator? To set up fire in them, the will to die on the pitch and turn things round? Just imagine – half-time after a 0-1 first period… Scolari comes to the dressing room and starts creating some… sentences… with his English all the players listen carefully to try to catch the sense, when they should listen to the emotional, motivational speech that makes them stand up and fight… what effect can this have on the team???) Moreover, and this is worse, they are reluctant to learn from their mistakes. In short:
- set pieces – Chelsea again did mistakes that could suit to a conference team, not a European finalist!!! Players simply unable to organize marking of opponents, stay with them and react to their moves…
- starting line-up and substitutions – di Santo against ManUtd is the same nonsense as Stoch against Arsenal. What does Scolari expect to them in the last 10 minutes of the match of the season when we are losing? When they are not good enough to get a chance in the starting line-up even against fucking Southend?????
If this is the policy of “growing youth talents into stars”, then the whole board should resign with Scolari and go to hell. But more probable is that the old man is simply not able to think in advance and simply puts attackers when we are losing and defenders when we are winning. How distant is the past when AG was a target of jokes for this lack of competence (“now Hilario for Drogba – two goalkeepers”), but he has learned since then, what to do and when. Scolari seems absolutely resistent to any process of learning. No surprise when di Santo finally makes a mistake while defending a corner kick – what could he do when the whole team playes so awfully?
I’m a gooner and to see your team play like that was shocking. Top defenders making school boy errors.
You should blame Abrramovich he should’ve left Mourhino do his job instead he buys a Donkey for 30 Millions “Sheva” and orders the manager to play him. Guys if I was you I’ll be worried. If Abramovich calls it a day it starting to look like it, you will be left with millions of debts and an exodus of your top players. One moment I saw during the game which summed up the attitude of this team, when Lampard lost the ball he stood and watched he didn’t even bother to try and retrieve the ball. for a 130 grands a week I’ll bloody run like a maniac around the pitch.
Wtf..
MUST GO: Drogba,Ballack,Malouda,Ferreiera,Deco,Alex,Anelka
BUY NOW:Ben Arfa,Di Maria,Benzema or Robinho.
I think with the reluctance to buy , most likely we will have a new coach in summer. Roman doesn’t want to buy some one for 6 months and then in summer pay again to buy new manager wish list..
Will we be able to finish 3rd this season ??
What is he saying
Luiz Felipe Scolari has reacted angrily to his team’s defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford today, but rather than criticising his players for their inability to compete with United in the second-half, Scolari has focused his ire on referee Howard Webb.
Although things had been even up until half-time, when a Nemanja Vidic header put United into the lead, the Londoners failed to keep with the Red Devils in the second-half, and when Wayne Rooney volleyed in a second for Alex Ferguson’s men, the match was over as a contest.
“We conceded a goal that changed the game because after this goal they played more free,” Scolari said of Vidic’s opener on Chelsea’s official website.
“We tried to put more players in front and gave them the space they wanted to play.”
Although he made that concession that perhaps his tactics were wrong, Scolari soon switched focus to the match officials.
“They were better than us in that time but scored one more goal by foul,” the Brazilian continued.
“It is one more mistake (from a ref) and in that time, sure, 45 minutes they played very well, better than us.”
Scolari was also somewhat dramatic when he summed up the situation regrading the title, claiming that Chelsea must be “men” and regroup quickly.

It has nothing to do with loving them again! I love the boys we have, but I also am aware that in order to stay relevant in world football, when your players are aging, YOU HAVE TO REUP WITH FRESH BLOOD! It’s not that I don’t like the players we have, but if you haven’t noticed… the environment about Chelsea is very stale. We are basing ourselves on a reign (JM era) that is no longer here! The fact is it is not 100% Scolari’s fault as he should bare a good portion of the blame as he is a high calibre coach no performing on a high calibre level.. I understand that as an underlying fact! But I also understand that winning championships comes in cycles of relatively 3-4 years and we were fortunate to have five VALUABLE years out of the boys we have and I am ever so proud of them. But if you look closely at a team like Barcelona… many thought that the clearing out of their “stale” players was going to be a detriment to their performances as they too had two stale seasons using pieces that had worn out their stay. It is only natural for a team and its confidence and its aura to eventually run out of steam! Again with Barcelona, they kept certain players and then looked to their youth and a few buys to rebuild around that core while selling those who were surplus! Ronaldinho and a host of others were sold although I must say that move was easier to suffice when you have a player like Messi to take over the creative influence, but still… a revamp was needed!
And to that extent… I felt as though our revamp should have come this summer as a majority of our guys have passed their peak in many respects and they need to make way for new blood so that we can start to build a younger team that if not immediately next season, but the season after will once again challenge for titles on all fronts! We need to build this team the way Scolari or which ever coach has the reigns this summer and that is the bottom line. The players we have now will not win us anymore trophies like I said in my previous comments you highlighted! They are simply tooooooo olddddddd and don’t have the legs to carry on a challenge on all fronts year in and year out and will wilt under the physical pressures. I say we keep the likes of Lampard, Terry, Essien, Mikel, Joe Cole, Cech, Bosingwa, Ashley Cole just to name the more obvious ones and let go of the ones that I said in my last comment. It makes perfect sense to me as championship teams come and go in cycles and ours has been pushed to the max after last season! It was an amazing run with these boys but we are in dire need of some change and some freshening up (just as Barcelona did!) except this time around… we need to be smart with our buys and be mindful of our purchases age range!
and 66 is spot on… for those looking to blame someone… how has no one blamed Roman for sacking the very manager that you all worship so much?
another great comment by Ron at 38!
Hi, man u fan in peace. I really can’t belive you lot are saying this, you have one bad game vs the best team in the world and lost – it happens, you are only 4 points off top and you have to play liverpool – win that and you are 1 point off top… We still need to win 2 games vs the second form team, wigan, and the team with the 2nd best defence in the league, fulham. If we slip up away @ any of these games we could fall behind you guys.
Chelsea has played some great footie and i expect Chelsea and Man utd fighting it out for top spot come end of the season.
Two coaches have been fired so far for not producing results, that is dealing with symptoms and not the causes of the problem. The issue is that the team is not balanced, Scolari can’t do anything with this team, it needs changing and freshening up. Its silly, you bring a new coach and ask him to produce results with players he did not buy. Until Scolari is given funds to buy his own players, play his strategy I won’t agree with this nonsense that he must be sacked.
The problem is the players, they are old and past it,lack comittment , some must be sold and replaced with young hungry players. All you say JM this JM that, you have to realize is that they are very few brilliant coaching talents in the world, and in his last season JM could not do much with the team because it was not balanced, he even said most were Grade 2 eggs. Scolari is a great coach but he does not have the tools.
Look at Man U’s attack today, all of them can walk into our team and get a jersey. Team is depleted. remember when we won the league Joe cole never used to make the team because we had so much talent, now he is assured of a jersey and is not even trying.
enough of bashing the coach, get the team right first.

I don’t agree with you . are you saying we don’t have good reserve players . How come Scolari has not even started till now with even one youngster even in a carling cup match .
. Wenger plays with kids, you saw today how Fergie started with Evans or rafael di silva or welbeck.
. Capello talks about our defender mancienne..
why can’t scolari start a match with a sinclair or di santo or stoch or mancienne and try them out . I agree 100 % with roman, if we want good players, lets sell our youngsters and then let him buy whomever he wants and he was the same person who told we will win the quardable with the same set of players…
Now Man U is going for the quardable..
It is not just a shame for chelsea but for every other epl team . Man U has played, 4 matches more than every other team (3 of them away from england ) and by weekend, they can top the EPL..
I blame the Man city sheik for all our problems . Had he come earlier than Aug 30, possibly in June, this joker and his dwarf ( deco) would be in blue side of Manchester.

Man united are a very good team, i respect ferguson for what he has done, this is like a family for him and he knows each of his players inside and out, he is a very good manager but man united are not the best team in the world and they aren’t playing like it. In fact, man united were very wasteful in front of our goal today, i spotted a chance from berbatov and park that should have been buried
round here, we don’t accept that statement, no shame in losing to the best for us it is no shame in playing the best
today, not only did we not do that, we were completely stripped of the status we have worked so hard to achieve
right now, no team is playing better than barcalona, even when man utd played them last season in the champs league, they were majorly outplayed but hung on
but back to vl and sly, we are very much set up for change, i always foresaw us moving to a 4-2-2-2 and half expect essien and mikel to play in the middle together
i want to see a youth team play against southend this week

This has really been a bad day. I will loathe this day for the rest of my life. I actually had to find an axcuse to cry todayl. I had to say i was sweating through my eyes. But now to the important matters, Scolari can go home, he looks like a niece guy but he can f**k off for all i care. We need a real coach. I think Louis Van Gaal would get the job done or atleast bring back Grant. I did not see the chelsea i loved to watch.

Sw6, thank you for making such an uplifting post. You are completely right, these are the type of moments where I am truly reminded that I love Chelsea and my blood is the deepest blue. Yes, this feeling of losing in such a fashion hurts a lot, but these bad times are what make the good times so much better. It sounds weird, but my love for Chelsea grows when they struggle and are down. I will stick with them always through all the tough times, true blue for life. Keep the blue flag flying high!
Its purely and completely our failure than ManU’s victory. The Intensity for a goal is Zero from every one. There was not even one sincere attempt in the entire 90 min. We deserve the result the way we played.
Vijay Anil
Every one Sticked to their positions. The positions in where they were during the match, they returned exactly from there after the match.

I think we should sack the board..Kenyon goes home with 3m anually but can’t see that his team is going down. This guys are just wasting Romans money, they sacked JM(Special One) but yet no results.I think Roman wasn’t sure of his cfc team that is why he chose to stay away from the game, cos would have been a disaster to loose with JM beside him…..
Yeah – on top of everything that has been said to watch the game and see Jose in the crowd seemed to hurt even more. We know he’s not happy at Inter. We are pretty sure a man like Jose can only be happy running the biggest club in the world. That club is only going to be in the EPL and in my hearts of hearts I don’t see him replacing Sir Alex. In my biggest dreams I often hope Roman would tell JM he was wrong and to come back and let him run the team the the way a manager should. I’ts a longshot but what a day that would be.
heh..
It’s a massive failure. Scolari should be OUT. This is not a knee jerk reaction. We have been crap for some months now. Scolari has ruined my team. Under Jose Mourinho, it was all going fine. If JM had remained, we’d have won the champions league. Even otherwise, Chelsea would be playing 10 times better. If we play like yesterday, Juventus will maul us, home and away.
Every minute Scolari stays from now on is detrimental to the team and the club. He should be OUT.
Where is joeblue? where is that joker who was making useless stupid arguments? what would he say about this match? where is TBF? adsconding? It’s all too familiar. When we are doing badly these characters will disappear and they will come back once we start doing better again. Plastic morons.
For once I agree with The Sun:
JOSE MOURINHO had the stone-faced look of a man attending the funeral of an old friend. And, to all intents and purposes, he was. For this was the day when the all-powerful Chelsea side he painstakingly built and took to two Premier League titles was finally laid to rest. A black tie occasion, the day a team died. As Manchester United toyed with the visitors in the second-half, the Old Trafford crowd taunted opposition who had been their closest rivals for four years with the question: ‘Who are you? Who are you?’ Mourinho would have been at a loss to come up with an answer. For the shambles out on the pitch bore no resemblance to any Chelsea team he had ever known. Yes, they may be second in the table but Chelsea are still heading in only one direction after three wins in 11 games. They seem to have totally lost their way under Phil Scolari and cannot afford any sort of slip-up at Southend in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
Yesterday’s loss was their fourth this term in all competitions — plus their penalties defeat by Burnley in the Carling Cup — and, by some distance, their worst. In fact, I cannot remember too many as bad as this in the last five seasons or so. It’s no exaggeration to say Manchester United could have scored six. On recent form, it was hardly a surprise. But, in terms of bodies available, it was considering that Scolari had every first-team player available bar Michael Essien. God knows what Mourinho thought as he saw the team he made the most difficult to beat in English football dismantled by a United side who are closing ominously on the top two.
Very disappointed. The PL was what I wanted the most but it doesnt look good, still there is a long time to go for the season to end.I am not expecting silverware in other competitions except for the PL.The Champions League Final along with this defeat has put more scars on the club. These will only go away by hurting Man Utd and no other team.Well now, what we can do is just hope everything goes our way in the future. And I hope LUCK is on our side.
BLUE TILL I DIE
OH NO its all going downhill again, come back Avram all is forgiven…. we have become no hopers with no fire in our bellies as we used to have with our true leader JM. Avram as we all know inherited Jose’s team who were then still brimming with the confidence Jose had given our team. Now we look a tierd, slow, weak, fearful and shot shy. At least Avram kept that fire alive for a season but I fear that Mr Scolari doesnt have the answers. The team have lost their way and its going to be a long second half of the season. Of course I am optimistic as ever with the blues and if we can turn this around then all hail and praise Scolari but somehow I just cant see it. Im still as we all are hoping that Jose will return and make us the force and kings of the prem we once were under his guidence.
whtever denver………….
socalri is not fit to be at chelsea,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,…..

Every little hope had been destroyed by this result. There is no reason to see scolari on chelsea bench. Our lack of tactic and spirit was obvious.I wont watch any football games is 2009,because i lost my hope .Even JM was sad although he was laughing.
Leave the players alone, all the fault is Scolari’s , He choses not make play Ballack and Drogba in recent games, now they under perform Whose fault?. He choses to include Deco in the midfield, all the oponents gain posession in the middfield , because we lost a man ib recovery ,it means less balls to the strikers, He desmotivate other imortant players that used to sacrifice in recovery and keeping from loosing , all this is due Scolari, Deco does not recover the ball, even he’s a great player, we loose the middfiels when hes in the pitch >
Mr Abramovich I’m a recent fan less than 2 years , Please sack this stupid Coach before we loose more players and confidence, all the attacks to the players must be avoided if we want to recover soon, dont delay the boot in the ass to that succer. tks
Tragic, isn’t it? For some reason, i think Felipao has brought this on himself. I am not sure whether it is his command of the english language or lack of it, but it appears to me from the outside that he has lost the plot and the dressing room. However i wont be quick to call for his head. Which begs the question, “what the heck was he brought in for?”. He keeps talking about his 3-year contract and so on. Felipao through his actions has come out as a “week” manager, unlike the tough Big Phil, player punching, passionate manager we were made to believe he is. For one the players have become lazy, even under Grant, we were always better in the second half. I keep asking this question over and over again,”Who the heck is our fitness coach?” the fellow needs to be offloaded pronto. No wonder it came out the players wanted more physicals. Cos it seems they r training the boys like they would in a national team. The team looks worn out in the second half, that is why we always want a response yet it never looks like coming. I also dare say Ray Wilkins is definitely not doing anything to help the course. I mean anybody at all can gather dvds and talk to the media occassionally. What the heck is his contribution to the team. I think Felipao is surrounded by sycophants. No one dares challenge his views and we r left to see the outcome. i have always said Drogba is the problem and not the solutions. He is a 30 year old man who behaves like an 8 year old. Personally our seasons started deteriorating when Drogba came back into the team. He plays against Burnley in his first game and goes about throwing missiles into the crowd. Mourinho is gone, his team must follow. I dare say chelsea needs to rebuild pronto. My only worry is Roman, I hope he sticks around in these troubling financial times. The old legs must go, surely. We can’t keep players who always talk about wanting to leave. It does nothing for team morale, no team would tolerate it.
Vidicu, Srbine, Srbija je uz tebe! Vidicu, Srbine, Srbija je uz tebe! Scolari Dragutinovic has sent you greetings.
When compared to Scolari Avram Grant is Nikola Tesla of football , great innovator. If Grants coaching methods were ” 25 years behind the times” Scolaris coaching methods are 1 century behind the times.
We have a saying: An old tree breaks before it is straightened. Have it in mind.
Bane get the fuck out of Chelsea, sinking boat.
Bring Maurinho back his the best motivator in the business and still loves chelsea. The author of the article say “when was the last time we mere humiliated by a 3 goal margin” well a few weeks ago in roma again thx Scolari you are useless.
Should have played 442 simple as that…
If anyone readin the headlines on all the sports pages outhere…………i must tell u guys to look away………………..manu thrash chelsea ….slice chelsea….rip chesela……….this is wht i hear everywhere…………it hurts man ….it seriously hurts………Just get back murinho ……….just get him back for the love of god roman…………..Plz…………..just get him BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I have watched Chelsea for over 40 years and I have never been so embarrassed. I even phoned a mate who supports MU to apologise for not even trying to give them a game. Player for player we should have at least matched them. The problem appears to be a coach who has lost the confidence of his players. Drogba must go NOW. He is a very bad influence and clearly has no desire to play for Chelsea. The thing is, no-one wants him.I say give him away. Ballack is also a liability.Deco may be ok in European games but cant play in the EPL. Malouda has only played well once.Obviously Scolari must go as well. What really worries me is that RA appears to have lost interest in our club. If he does not fire Scolari by the end of this week then I fear we are in for a very bumpy ride for it will show that he no longer cares.
(Look what they did to my chelsea)=this would be the JM words at old trafford. He is the only man can save us.We must sell 6 or 7 players to get rid of scolari and bring back him.It all RA faults, you russian bastard.3:0 defeat will be in chelsea players mind until end of the season.
I never saw chelsea players like this before.MU killed chelsea in front of our eyes.
@56 | SW6
Great post mate
its monday and I still cant believe what hit chelsea yesterday.
I try to come wit any kind of excuse but damn this was really the perfect game for us to really do some damage or atleast STAND u to man u and challange them. We just simply got schooled. and man u didnt even have to unleash their top guns to do so.
how can u not want to show up on one of the biggest stage on the planet????
I wanted this game to be the turning point for our recent slump..but I guess it have to start wit the game on wednesday!
IF we could challage both titles last year despite the fact that we were going through coach-change, ACN tour, and injuries then we sure can do it this year to. We dont have to surpass or exceed out selfs, we just have find back to our chelsea level of recent years.
I believe we can do it, even thought this is the last thing I should be saying after yesterdays display. But its not like we have a choice we gotta stick together and hope.
I gotta comment on LFS saying; this result hurting our confedent, shit its not like we have been playing wit the blue-swagger all year.
therefor I think this was really good. Cause now hopefully coach and allt he freakin players get a wakeup call. its not about names or previous stats. its all about what u do now. Am amazed on how drogba and ballack actually struggle so much, specially ballack. they have lost so much of what used to be their strenght.
where were Mr lampsy yesterday? Deco.. well there is a reason he didnt play much with last year.
and to the person who said LFS is having a touch task cause he doesnt have the good set of players he had in like portugal.. you gotta be kidding me. We do have a good team. WE just dont seem to play like a team. defend like one and soar together like one unite.
lets stop wishing for jm, its not happening!he moved on lets do the same.
We got a much better change of going the quaterfinal (CL) then inter
am out /k
cant sack head coach midseson instead ray wilkin should guys 35 year makalele would have stopped united get essien as possible play 4 -4 -2 damn it we had lost playing 4-4-2 start studying juve now now go to italy to scout them dont want another humilation in feb march
buy a striker now tell drogba i have another loan out disanto 4 a month to stoke hull whatever get scott sinclair
bring in younger players give him money give hime time if we keep sacking managerevery season it will not work get steve clarke back please
he should played paulo ferriera agaist ronaldo he has good record agaist him
play bos as winger
essien is the heart of team bring him back remember bridge clash last year champ league final second half he should play get a cover 4 mikel and rotate him bring back as soon as get him match fit till juve arrive
essien can play right central anywhere winger he
need another left winger
best team
4-4-2 ———cech
bos —–terry—–riccky——acole
mikel
essien joecole/kalou
lampard
anelka drogba
can even play 4-2–2-2
bos terry riccky acole
mikel bellati
essien lampard
drogba anelka
then his strategy of bos and a cole may work
note ballck/deco can play as supersub
tell drogba there is another striker by getting that player
and this is infront of jm thank goodness i didnt watch the humilation i just read from bbc at 1120 pm ist in bbc people overheard him say chelsea were half not even half as good as under me. jose come back soonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
The only time we caused any trouble in United’s box was when a cross came in from the wide positions. i know these crosses were few and far between, but that is the key to fixing this mess. Scolori has said that he does not have the players to change the system, but 4-4-2 is simply this only answer at this point. With joe cole running down on flank and malouda/kalou down the other, put anelka and drogba together upfront. but an option like this doens’t seem to be on the horizon. i had a suspicion while watching the game that this group of chelsea players are trying to get rid of Scolari.
two things…am sooooo damn tired of all this JM talk, JM is history ppl
second… Why does the coach have to motivate the players. this is one of the biggest games of the season against the best team at OT, how can u not be motivated? Plus they get played mad cash to represent CFC. they need to freakin show up for each n every game and perform. Even the lowly man city play wit more fire and will then us=(( on this department I think we are the worst team in the league 4 the moment.
am a baller, so I dont understand the soccer tactics verywell. but one thing that I cant understand is, why dont they hustle and work like a team? why do we look so clueless out there.
Eventually we gotta rebuild, but just trading player or buying in new wont really help our case this season. we are talented enought to be a contender. I dont care what just happend I still gonna believe we can/will get our act togehter.
come on chelsea
You see, when I had the guts to come out and say that we are going to lose 2-3/0 I was right away targeted by Vinton Lindo lol, now tell me am I still wrong?? Exactly the same scoreline as I had predicted, but then again I let myself dream for a few days of the old days when we were unstoppable, but oh well reality is different then dreams. Why am I sayin all this because we all need a reality check, we need to stop dreamin of what if and stuff. Fact of the matter is were simply putting it shit under scolari, the main cannot change the direction were heading in to save his life and that’s FACT!! It’s proven that we cant beat big teams but now we just cant beat anyone no matter what devision they belong to. The game yesterday was so humiliating that I was sat with a mate and when we went 2-0 dwn I said to her another one is on the way and exactly that happened, and frankly speaking it could of easily been 5-0 if utd took all their chances, it could of been even more humiliating then it was. All I want to say is I have no hope or faith under Scolari and yet I hope he proves me wrong but I dont think that will be anytime soon, because we have completely lost the plot!!
can u believe it only 56 percent think that we can beat stoke on sat and 26 percent now say we will lose to stoke on chelseafc website
reflects fans dont trust the team
http://www.goal.com/en/news/723/serie-a/2009/01/12/1056845/roberto-mancini-in-pole-to-take-over-at-chelsea-reports
Personally, I would go for Laurdup or didier deschamps or rijkaard . Mancini has never done well in Champions League..
I’d like to point out that chelsea were lucky to finish with 11 men. Beletti shudve been sent off for that freak challenge on ronaldo. He missed the first time but made up his mind too kill ronaldo’s legs. Saying that, Rooney cudl also have been sent off for 2 bookable offences. And Ballack…wow!! He shud take part in the olympics. Cudnt have seen a better swan dive than that and then PARK gets booked for what! united shudve had a penalty for carvalho’s rugby tackle on ronaldo. Chelsea seem to have lost their pride…. and played disgracefully. EGG ON CHELSEA’S FACE!!
I think we have motivated United. Last year, also United had a very slow start 1-0 wins, goal not coming at all and suddenly we go to united and come with a 2-0 loss. thereafter united started this freaking goal streak , 4-1 wins over villa, middleborough etc
The same is going to happen. Have to admire Fergie for planning this attack 2 weeks in advance while our own amnesia patient doesn’t know which player in our team is injured even 2 days before the game..
jools, dont take things too far, bring back avram? lol
lets stop mourinho wishing, we love him, maybe one day he will come back, but lets not call for it, we need stability, give scolari another season, see what he does, he responded well today, saying buyin new players now will not save us, but he needs to improve the team as it is. We are full of too many players who don’t seem to care so get rid of them. I would be happier watching us field an 11 week in week out that loves chelsea with no bench than a team full of decorated names that are looking for their next media outbreak, throwing coins, saying no-one cares, not pulling their weight
i ciuld hardly sleep last night, i had an exam at uni today and could barely concentrate. Let me ask you this, in the second two goals, how many lower league players would you see throwing themselves at the ball, probably everyone, bosingwa didnt do that yesterday, ashley didnt do it, ballack didnt do it, 3-0 did it
LOLOLOLOL
so chelsea has seen its 5minutes of fame and now its over
back to the middle of the table biatch!
Guys,
it’s monday and I dnt know what to say, still. Shame, shame, shame.
I never expected a win. I was almost sure we were going to lose, bt as a fan I kept hoping. My head said loss, my heart clung to win.
It wasn’t Chelsea that played yesterday, it was arsenal, surely. This reminds me of the 4-0 trouncing arsenal suffered at the hands of Man U.
This reminds me of how Arsenal got to Champion’s League final and then imploded. Bring back Chelsea.
Seriously, no point asking for Mourinho back. No point sacking scolari also. Of course he’s useless. For those that keep saying it’s not his fault, tell me whose fault it is when we concede from set pieces week in week out and the same mistakes are made. Last week, it was Drogba an attacker marking another attacker in his own box, against Arsenal it was Lampard marking one of the best strikers in the premiership. I’ll leave di santo out of it. poor guy. Tell me what they do in training if wek in week out we concede goals that wont have got in if there had been people at the post. Sometime early in the season, I remember Mikel heading the ball out of the goal area inside the posts. I remember BC pointing out thatarsenal were arsenal bcos they would never do a thing like that. Now what we get is Mikel staying in the same useless position in front of Cech everytime. That is definitely the instruction given. How is it nobody marks the posts.
2 seasons ago I had a bet with a mate that no team would put 3 goals past chelsea. Such was the confidence I had in the logic and strength of our 5 man defence. Not anymore. Last season, I had a theory on how to identify a bad team- inability to defend set pieces, this effectively in my opinion put Arsenal with the rest of the rubbish teams, now we have joined that ignoble class.
Also, it will be obvious to anybody who has followed the premiership in the past 3 seasons that when the top 4 play one another, it would definitely be decided by set play.
Now on Stupid, Senseless Scolari. Obviously, Man U practice set pieces- see Vidic whispering to Berbatov on how to go. Has there been any kind of creativity from our set play all season.
We wont be rid of Scolari, no point asking for Mourinho. The honourable thing is to bring back steve clarke.
Bt who am I to say a thing like this. Just a miserable TV fan who cant even afford a ticket.
My two superstitious cents about the reasons why Chelsea is in its present state of desinegration/( temporary) decline / confusion / shite /disarray whatever- -you- may- call- it !
Reason no. 1 = BALLACK : the guy wears a No. 13 jersey and therefore since he arrived, no titles
Reason no. 2 = Most of the unmarried players got married and had kids or at least have kids now which makes ‘em lose sleep and
concentration ( if you can kick a ball all day,you can change a few nappies ! )
Reason no.3 = Big Phil thinks most of the players could be like Kaka and is giving team talks with a religious and salvationist bent and
asking them to pray,repent..confess, be sprayed with scented holy water b4 games
Reason no. 4 = Chelsea are jinxed / under attack by witch doctors, ghouls and teenage girls met by players at nightclubs causing stuff like
making Safe Cech, the bungler he is at present
Reason no. 5 = RA the Real Madrid-sexy-football-wanna-be has erectile disfunction and can’t think of anything else but getting it up again,
combined with the shock of losing 50% of his market value in a poof , so is a half-witted twat 908% of the time.
Reason no. 6 = Since Steve Clark left, the training ground is now a picnic ground and the team has collectively gained 1000 pounds
Reason no. 7 = Big Phil doesn’t really speak English and can’t communicate with the team at all except the portugese-speaking ones who
incorrectly translate stuff into rudimentary English which in then, in turn translated into French,German and Ghanian and
everyone then nodding in “full” agreement and comprehensionand all that culminating in 3 goals for ManU
(BP probably has hired private translator and memorizes whole sentences to deal with every situation possible )
You never know, stranger things have happened on this earth !
hey guys cheer up ! If we are to have a few years of this shite, so what ! ManUre’s winning titles again and again and CFC player’s heads dropping down and down again will spur that RA to straighten up the jackass of the club he has with JM or a JM Mark II.
So in the meantime for me : KTBFFH !
Reason no. 8 = According to BP Chelsea players now have to “be” men, so does that mean no more monkey business in the hot showers after games if such things were going on ? Like they were really never “real men” but “men with a twist ” and so only pretending to be men ?
Or they were “men” once and now because of him have lost their “men-tality” and now have to find their mojos all over again ?
And this be the cause of all this unrest and bad results ?
Scolari’s tactics need a major revamp. One of the main flaws in his tactic is reluctance of playing aerial balls..we have players like Ballack and Mikel who can head very well and Drogba who can chest and strike in a deadly manner. Yet, Scolari refuses to play the football in the air, accepting crosses via Bosingwa as the only way in which the ball should be lifted above the grass.
Secondly, we need a 4-2-2 or a 4-1-2-1-2, we should mix it up a little as you guys have so often said…4-1-4-1 and 4-3-3 is so predictable that even Southend will favour a win against us.
Scolari must brush aside his ego and accept his mistake and try new tactics…isnt that what he was hired for in the first place ? Effective tactics and style of football that can win us trophies ?
Of course, the stupid senseless one will field the same set of players on wednesday. The man has no clue. Take no joy when he says he needs to change something in the future. Notice the tone, WE NEED to change something, not WE ARE GOING TO CHANGE. It’s all about himm wishing. Plus, he said this before, even though he was the last person to recognize this fact- apart from the insensate board of course.
Seriously, the only thing we need to change is Scolari. Of course, he leaves with his country men including Bosingwa I dare say. OK Carvalho stays, bt the rest? How do you say get out in portuguese?
Chelsea need to be young and a big washout .I prefer to have a squad like arsenaL,Low paid players.Yesterday when the result was 3:0,i told my uncle that (that number 8 is paid 130,000 a week ,but i will play better for chelsea with no cash in my pocket).shame to this players. Our striker can not beat a 20 yo defender,Can JT and FL look at the video of their game ?
WOW how 2d are Scolari’s tactics. He can only manage well if he has a whole country of players to choose from!
Quoting Sly the Blue Spy
Thats RIGHT
Quoting SW6
That what’s all about, SEE We gotta stop BITCHING, & THE TEAM HAS TO STOP DREAMING & START WORKING WITH REALITY. Oh AND GET OVER IT (I’m trying, I swear)
to me Scolari is a manager with no modern tactical knowledge and who seems stuck in the ways of international management. thats spells disaster for Chelsea!
rebuild this summer. We need Abramovich to either sell-up to someone with interest or we need Abarmovich to become interested again(c ome out and say something to us!!!!). We also need a new manager, one proven in English league management (or bring back clarke!! give him the team our us him and Mancine combo/ or a clarke/Rijkaard combo) and with the cajones to buck up the ideas of some of the big egos in the squad. We need a player overhaul, getting rid of the uninterested free-riders and bringing in young, hungry, talented players.
If this happens we can have a long, successful, happy future and the years 2007-2009 will just be remembered as a small blip in Chelsea`s glory.
Note we need wingers and full backs as well as mid fielders who an get past a defender
so my plan is :
new manager (European experience- know to have a efficient teams mancine or rijkaard, are my likes)
Player over haul:
outs: Deco, Juliano Belletti, Florent Malouda, Mineiro , Didier Drogba, Michael Ballack , Ferreira?, Kalou?
Ins: Deigo (Bremen)/Vander vaart *(lampard’s future replacement), Ben arfa, Zhirkov( Utiltity player for the left side), Podolski, Bastian, Orlando Sa
Promote Stoch, Sinclair, Mancienne, M woods, J.Bruma
4-3-3
——————-Cech——————–
–Ivanovic——-Ricky——–Terry——–Zhirkov–
–Essien————-Mikel————Lampard–
–Bastian————-Podolski———–Ben arfa–
Subs: Cuda,Bosingwa , Anelka, Deigo, J.Cole, Alex, Kalou?
At the very least,Scolari needs to let Drogba and possibly Deco and Malouda out of the squad until the January transfer window closes, when it does, Drogba (and maybe Deco/Malouda) will realize he’ll have no option but to work his ass out to try and get a spot on the team.Mourinho realized that with Adriano and Balloteli. These players are day dreaming about moving somewhere else and not focused on their team.
why cant e sign players now and make the join next season .. bayern have done that with Olic!!, he will start next season!! why cant we!!
what is the best way for chelsea to move forward?
for me the only man is JOSE but it wont happen now…. we will have to ride out that contract at inter first!!!! then get him back ……
or we make Mancine our new great one why because he is efficient !
we could also get back Clarke to hold the forth…. get back some respect … and unite him and JOSE after the 3 years…
So let me get it straight….
we could get mancine…
quick fix…. get clarke….. the when Jose is finished with inter or has 1 year left we get him… to rebuild…. and fire Frank Arsenn.. or anyone that will stand in Jose’s way! and allow him to do it his way!!
Let me be clair.. Im not really for sacking a manager in the middle of the tour however there comes a time like this (crisis) when one has tomake big decisions… its not only that we wont win anything…(though its a factor) but we have roled back 20 paces!!! in a matter of months!! its quite clair that we cant wi little teams let alone big ones…. what has happen to the team that drove feahead and wear into the hearts of any team in Europe….?? no it didnt just disappear!! but “someone cant get it right” and we have to face that fact.. Ice burg are heading straight for it!! (have we hit the Ice burg yet guys??) sure feels like it.
This was the same thing that Madrid did and Spurs…. the manager was just not clicking with the players.. and lost the plot
——————-Cech——————–
–Ivanovic——-Ricky——–Terry——–Zhirkov–
–Essien————-Mikel————Lampard–
–Bastian————-Podolski———–Ben arfa–
Subs: Cuda,Bosingwa , Anelka, Deigo, J.Cole, Alex, Kalou?
NICE TEAM !!
Almost the same team that took us to CL finals and 2 points? of winning the EPL last year. It’s pretty evident that LFS’ head must roll. I have a feeling this current Chelsea team won’t perform unless it’s under our old playing style and old management. It was always a disaster in the happening to change our players into “creative and flashy” football. To me there was nothing more beautiful then to see Chelsea dominate and decimate any opponent it came across. Now we are nothing under this fat man trying to turn our team Brazilian.
Quoting denver
because if a new coach comes in summer, we will have to buy again ..
“Mourinho’s Blues were ruthless, super-fit, brilliantly organised and, most importantly, extremely difficult to beat”.
Quoting denver
Real Madrid dumped their coach mid season, just because he said barca are unbeatable. Barca coach , two time la liga winner, one time CL winner was sacked and not given one more season.. Why should be we ?? By end of the season, if we don’t even qualify for cl action next year, no one will want to manage no player will want to play. 2 weeks ago, we were chasing liverpool, now we are chasing man u and liverpool and 2 weeks from now we will be chasing Villa and Arsenal..
Quoting cfc
yes but that new player can be in the plot!! for example Podolski.. great striker!! one of the best out there and cheap enough . if we wait we will loose him …so just to hold him…. buy him now.. the thing is we dont have money to go for a Villa, or a Benzema….and if we do .. will either of them come?
its a sticky situation!!
we need Mikel to be more like a daniel De Rossi.. he can pass tackle and score… but our boy cant score..why?
guys I think based on what I have been reading, Frank Arnesen might be replaced!!! because he has not been producing enough talent!! and Roman is not pleased!! this is good news because this is one of the main persons why JOSE was fired!!!
note
since the board decided they needed to put a structure in place that would outlive the reign of Mourinho (Ironic how that same structure – the appointment of Arnesen and Grant – triggered the departure of the club’s best-ever manager, having led to a bizarre recruitment policy which seemed to bypass the manager’s wishes)
WE NEED WINGERS!!
Up you blues!!
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2009/jan/13/chelsea-luiz-felipe-scolari
read this!!!
the main problem is….1/we only pass but there’s not many crosses and shots.
2/ we dun attack the ball with determination anymore.
3/we atttack the same way, easy to predict
4/no more fighting spirit
5/mikel cant shoot(with essien back its better)
6/useless strikers(drogba was rubbish in tt game)
heard tt chelsea wants iniesta …he’s gonna be a gd addition but we have too many midfielders…we need gd winfers…and striker…
if we need to fund the buying of players,
we have sold wayne bridge
1.sell malouda
2sell drogba/anelka
3buy zhirkov
4.buy iniesta/hamsik
5/buy world class striker
we will probably need to replace anelka as well…. he told the coach he wont play in the position .. the coach want him to play in !!! that cant work at chelsea!! look at essien…. he said ill play any where for the good of the team!!! but not this anelka guy!!… he really seem like a sulker now
i nv see chelsea in such a plight for a long time…very disappointing…nw i think chelsea will have a difficult time against wigan ,villa, boro
c’mon chelea …we have a chelsea backlash and a storng reaction against opponents
