My sincere heartfelt Ouch! to those ex-Barca brats. Geovanni had said ‘I feel sorry for Scolari because we’re going to beat his team’. Ouch. Fibreglass had said ‘Arsenal ladies team would draw with Spurs’. Ouch. I had the privilege of watching the Arsenal ladies hold Spurs last night. Football keeps teaching so many lessons but still these stupid, arrogant footballers never learn!

Didn’t get to see our match. Just saw the goals. Frank Lampard’s goal was sublime. That’s an automatic nominee for the goal of the season. Lampard gets better and better and better.

Felipao said this about Lampard’s wondergoal:

I think Frank Lampard’s goal was one of the best in the Premier League. It was a fantastic goal – only Frank Lampard can make this goal. It was one of the best goals I have seen in my life. He is a very intelligent player and he is a man that is never tired. There are many very good players in England, and one of the best is Frank.

Anelka on the scoresheet! The triangle of goalkeeper and the two centre backs made a mess of an aerial ball where Anelka was quick to smell a goal and stole for an easy finish. I’m still not convinced though. The highlights show that he was as crap as he’s been with us and just happened to nick one goal from a horrible error from Hull defence. A goal nevertheless. If Anelka’s goal is going to delay Franco’s inclusion, I’d have taken a 2-0.

For the third goal, Carvalho made a brilliant low cross, which was expertly finished by Malouda. By his current form, no way Malouda should have scored. Luckily for him, when it mattered, he had his head and feet at the right place. Hull did force some saves, had few shots hit the woodwork and all, but by statistics and by highlights, I can say that we completely overwhelmed Hull City.

And yes, I was watching the north London derby last night. What a shame! What a bad advertisement for football! It was terrible football, to say the least. The final score 4-4 says that already. When you see the match you’d realise how poor it was. There was one schoolboy error after other. Funnily, when Arsenal got 4-2 after 60 minutes, they thought, as always, that the match was over. I don’t know how many times they’d make this mistake. The goal celebrations for the fourth one was simply disgusting. Tottenham played well but for those defensive lapses and full deserved their goals.

Bentley’s goal was out of the world. Modric’s last second effort was outstanding too. When Lennon netted it in, I went mad!! Full credit to Lennon, to have the composure and skill to finish it in the last few seconds of the match, given the pressure. Credit to Arsenal ladies. They had it in them to take a 4-2 lead only to lose it to the MEN. Do you have Fabregas’ phone number? I just want to call him, laugh for a few minutes and then hang up.

Liverpool got a late penalty as if it was their right. Oh yes, Ronaldo got his customary penalty too. Chelsea are still no.2 in the table but I’m far more relieved after this match. We have tamed the high fliers Hull City and brought them back to earth and we also look like we’re back in business after a poor match against Liverpool. This Saturday we have Chelsea vs Sunderland, Man Utd vs Hull and Tottenham vs Liverpool. Has all the ingredients of an interesting weekend!
