My sincere heartfelt Ouch! to those ex-Barca brats. Geovanni had said ‘I feel sorry for Scolari because we’re going to beat his team’. Ouch. Fibreglass had said ‘Arsenal ladies team would draw with Spurs’. Ouch. I had the privilege of watching the Arsenal ladies hold Spurs last night. Football keeps teaching so many lessons but still these stupid, arrogant footballers never learn!
Didn’t get to see our match. Just saw the goals. Frank Lampard’s goal was sublime. That’s an automatic nominee for the goal of the season. Lampard gets better and better and better.
Felipao said this about Lampard’s wondergoal:
I think Frank Lampard’s goal was one of the best in the Premier League. It was a fantastic goal – only Frank Lampard can make this goal. It was one of the best goals I have seen in my life. He is a very intelligent player and he is a man that is never tired. There are many very good players in England, and one of the best is Frank.
Anelka on the scoresheet! The triangle of goalkeeper and the two centre backs made a mess of an aerial ball where Anelka was quick to smell a goal and stole for an easy finish. I’m still not convinced though. The highlights show that he was as crap as he’s been with us and just happened to nick one goal from a horrible error from Hull defence. A goal nevertheless. If Anelka’s goal is going to delay Franco’s inclusion, I’d have taken a 2-0.
For the third goal, Carvalho made a brilliant low cross, which was expertly finished by Malouda. By his current form, no way Malouda should have scored. Luckily for him, when it mattered, he had his head and feet at the right place. Hull did force some saves, had few shots hit the woodwork and all, but by statistics and by highlights, I can say that we completely overwhelmed Hull City.
And yes, I was watching the north London derby last night. What a shame! What a bad advertisement for football! It was terrible football, to say the least. The final score 4-4 says that already. When you see the match you’d realise how poor it was. There was one schoolboy error after other. Funnily, when Arsenal got 4-2 after 60 minutes, they thought, as always, that the match was over. I don’t know how many times they’d make this mistake. The goal celebrations for the fourth one was simply disgusting. Tottenham played well but for those defensive lapses and full deserved their goals.
Bentley’s goal was out of the world. Modric’s last second effort was outstanding too. When Lennon netted it in, I went mad!! Full credit to Lennon, to have the composure and skill to finish it in the last few seconds of the match, given the pressure. Credit to Arsenal ladies. They had it in them to take a 4-2 lead only to lose it to the MEN. Do you have Fabregas’ phone number? I just want to call him, laugh for a few minutes and then hang up.
Liverpool got a late penalty as if it was their right. Oh yes, Ronaldo got his customary penalty too. Chelsea are still no.2 in the table but I’m far more relieved after this match. We have tamed the high fliers Hull City and brought them back to earth and we also look like we’re back in business after a poor match against Liverpool. This Saturday we have Chelsea vs Sunderland, Man Utd vs Hull and Tottenham vs Liverpool. Has all the ingredients of an interesting weekend!

Anelka is a good player!!!!! he should be in about every chelsea match
anelka is good but isnt chelsea good…i think thats what differentiates everyone’s stance on his performances, compared to the likes of lamps, deco and ballack……..in mid and the defensive line up we’ve got..i believe that everyone’s expectations in the final third of the pitch are of the same level which he rarely can deliver. He’s good but not good enough for us. The number of chances that he gets being a “striker” i think his goal tally really should be more, especailly in crunch games like the one with liverpool where the chances teams get to score are slim need to be converted to get results. i just think hes not the guy for us. Chelsea can do better…
Someone need to tell anelka that he is a striker and the main job of a striker is to score=) cause I dont think he got it. wit that bein said. I dont think he was horrible this game, he was actually decent. Malouda? ma gosh..he is workin really hard to get the “miss of the year” award handed by me. he should have scored atleast 2 more goals.
mikel and lamps did their thing in the middle. imagin mikel bein a threat on offence, thats a scary thought fo the opponents.
what is the status on carvalho? hope he will be aite soon.
bc u said “completely overwhelmed Hull City” well I thought the game was tight and they were threatin cech specially in the first half. after we got the second goal thats when we started to play really great. the passes and movement before the third goal was awesome. thats chelsea at it best!
now on the trashtalkers, I guess Mr Giovani is working on his and the teams swagger.
but Fabri..wat were u thinkin son? is it me or have fabri been talkin alot to reporters latey. maybe his mum is ot of town for a quick visit to spain and he is takin advantage of the situation to speak his mind out.
am out like ARSENAL is out of the title race!
lampard had a goal of the season nominee last night, such quality i dont know why so many other popl give him stick, how many other midfielders are as consistently brilliant as he? none.
anelka is a poacher and looks for easy goals, he just doesn’t always capitalize, remember our pre season against ac milan?
i hope to see more from malouda soon, we need some of that skill we know he has
i dont fret over liverpool, spurs are very confident right now, Im not convinced rafa really has the right idea about getting the best from his team, he plays his strikers on the wings too often, like a certain mr grant. The right run of results will see us back on top, man utd are climbing slowly
liverpool luck will some day end . cheer for uncle harry to beat liverpool
Didier calling
Hey guys maybe we / Chelsea should to destabilize Manure and get some Oomph into our forward line at the same time by trying to buy Tevez !
Is there some kind of censorship /wait for moderation / screening mechanizsm at work, BC ?
Anyways Happy Depavali , BC and all u Indaian chaps on the blog and Cheers to the win at Hull.
hey guys,
Can some body provide me with the link in which Fibreglass gave such an idiotic statement?
@9 – the link is
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1081527/Fabregas-claims-Spurs-struggle-beat-Arsenal-ladies-side.html
i wouldnt want tevez, in a 4-5-1 the striker needs to be a big man, tevez is something like 5-4
we need a real striker in jan . DI SANTO MUST SCORE A GOAL TO BE IN CHELSEA STARTER LINE.
chelsea need to bring back power to stamford bridge with a stunning win on saturday .
a champion team must win most of his games.after liverpool defeat chelsea must win all of the home games.
we need didier back to kill of the top 4 clubs. and essien. very bad that carvalho is out but alex and ivanovic are very good.
For the love of God-Anelka isn’t playing as a striker. When will you people get this through your heads?
Anelka played quite well yesterday, forcing a top-drawer save out of Myhill with a fierce shot. His goal was the product of working very hard for the team too, which is an encouraging sign. He’s now scored 6 times in 13 starts for the club, which is a very good return by any standards. Malouda, too, played quite well although he was wasteful in front of goal. He’s got the most assists in the league out of anyone in the team, and he’s just scored his fourth goal. Again, good by anyone’s standards, if they’d just drop their biases and look and things objectively.
STFU about Anelka, you glory hunting piece of crap.
You know boys ! . I think last night was one of the best football night in my life !
i rememberd chelsea – aston villa match and TOT – Chelsea match . and now im happy… so happy.
They dropped two important points. its very important for us. now we have 3 points clear to the likes of Arsenal or hull and two points to Man Utd , if they could beat fulham . Nice to see how TOT will destroy Liverpool At WHi….Hear….Lea…
I knew this game would be a Blues backlash after their home embarrassment vs. Liverpool. What I still don’t understand is why so many people defend Anelka… he doesn’t have the quality to lead this frontline. If we don’t sign a striker in January I think it’ll be very difficult to contend for the premiership. We need Drogba healthy but there are no guarantees of that, we need help up front. I’d like to see Di Santo starting some games until Didier returns. I hope our management can see that our attacking third is one of the weakest out of all major contenders, good thing we have such a strong attacking midfield. Anelka has skill, but he’s not enough of what Chelsea need.
Out of potential signings this January, which players appeal to you the most? I’ve heard some Luis Fabiano rumors.. but I prefer signing Huntelaar or Podolski. Your thoughts?
WOW that Lampard goal was freaking amazing. But on to Anelka, I think his the only proper striker that we have. I mean if his crumbling under pressure what would happen to Franco? I just think Franco should play just behind Anelka for now
Anelka’s role at Chelsea is a center forward. how many times must that be told? and center forwards are normally not natural goal poachers. they make goals for the team. And lay off Malouda. I agree, he’s very very wasteful indeed, but compared to last season, I prefer him now then the douche he was last season.
and Uncle Harry’s Spurs will definitely beat those shit lucky Liverfools. Spurs are like high on confidence now. If only their backline and Calamity Gomes can improve a bit.
If Anelka’s role is a centre forward, then he sh1ttier than I thought. centre forwards are generally very intelligent players who play a very influential role in the team play ala Rooney. Anelka HAS NEVER EVER played an influential part in ANY Chelsea game. To call him a centre forward is giving him a life line. When you have Kalou and Malouda as wingers, and there is no license to shoot for Lamps/Ballack like before, Anelka cannot be a centre forward. He is a striker who has been failing miserably. Period.
If it were Drogba churning out performances like Anelka, we’d be bombarding him already. I know how a lot of you were losing patience with Drogba in a season where he scored more than 30 goals. Just don’t have the double standards. This time I’m telling you :-)
STFU about Anelka, you glory hunting piece of crap.
And you, add something worthwhile to the discussion or just get lost. I’m sure you’ll agree.
Is there some kind of censorship /wait for moderation / screening mechanizsm at work, BC ? Anyways Happy Depavali , BC and all u Indaian chaps on the blog and Cheers to the win at Hull.
There is, but I don’t see any of your comments getting filtered! The most secure way of seeing your comments published is by posting comments after you login with your username and password. Thanks for the Diwali wishes. Did I tell you I was in office for about 20 hours on Diwali day?
And here are the statistics – Anelka has scored 6 goals in 11 starts this season. NONE of the six goals were the first goals of the match Chelsea. NONE of those goals were winning goals. For a so-called centre forward, he has made ZERO assists this season. If he is a centre forward, he has no assists. If he is a striker, he’s scored NO memorable goals. I don’t understand. And now, Frank Lampard (that useless cement sack as some used to call) has scored 7 goals in 14 starts this season. Scores the crucial goals very often. He has made 5 assists this season. Is there something about Anelka that I’m completely blind about? Enlighten me.
See Anelka WAS a very good striker. I myself had a lot of respect when he was playing for Bolton as an opponent striker. But now, he is not Chelsea stuff and even age is not on his side. He is not trying enough is my verdict. If he tries he can be better. You may or may not agree but I’m convinced.
who wouldn’t want tevez in the team….he is strong fast skilful hardworking and can score…i really think chelsea should get him. he can play anywhere upfront in the 4-3-3 formation…seriously he is a gd buy…
———-cech———–
bosingwa—carvalho—terry—-acole

Well Jo, I’d grab Tevez given a choice. Tevez is a Chelsea player playing in Man Utd shirt. Tevez has all the qualities of being a blue. His mentality is top class. I’d be proud to have him here.
poldoski is a bd buy too….i will like a torres kind of striker….our squad is very gd…just tt we need a striker that can score even on his bad day and possibly a winger tt can bombard the defence just like robben….tevez/poldoski/villa/robinho/benzema/scheweingzer
yep BC….upon seeing the news tt fergie has given up on tevez….i am already relishing in seeing tevez in a chelsea jersey…as u can see our match against liverpool, riera was very dangerous, babel too…kuqt work very hard….he were disappointed by the failure to score as well as the team spirit…need a player like tevez tt work hard for the team…
People who slate Anelka have no idea what football is all about….Anelka brings to this team what a player like Drogba can never…Anelka adds more dimensions to our attack…he is not just shoot and jump….he is much much more…..and someone mentioned Rooney here….what about his profligacy till very recently…he would had been dumped if it was not for ManU’s habit of always scoring 3-4 goals for last 2 seasons…no team can afford missing so many chances as Rooney did….people must understand Chelsea is full of players who want to socre…Lampard,Ballack,Deco,Malouda,Kalou,Belleti and even Terry and Bosingwa want to score…so how much space is left for Anelka….when Drogba plays everything has to pass through him and that was the reason we scored so less and whenever he is down in a game we are no threat….this is no more the case…Anelka can pass, move , create spaces…all that is needed to score goals…merely touching the ball going to goal scorer is not an assist…
chelseaforlife…..sure i noe tt…i am worried tt drogba may nt fit well into scolari system….but u have seen anelka missing easy chances….he is a gd player but he needs to score more…tts wat players like torres does….hopefully we can see anelka scoring more…
LOL – that’s surely a joke. Whatever Anelka contributes to this Chelsea team now, how difficult it is for a Pizarro to do? How difficult it is for a Franco to do (Franco ‘moves’ a lot lot better than Anelka). Anelka does to us what Baptista did for Arsenal.
Please don’t ever compare Anelka and Rooney. They are in different planets. Rooney has an amazing work rate and a huge influence on the Man Utd games. Rooney is a real centre forward, truest to the term. Show me one game where Anelka was influential or a game you can say we wouldn’t have won if not for Anelka’s contribution.
You can have your opinion but to claim that the people who have different opinion have no idea about football is . . a bit childish.
cant wait for transfer season to start…we need some touch up
BC ,on Diwali you were 20 hours at the office ? The credit/banking crisis probably !
Well the most possible best good luck to you at work !
Hey you guys ! U think Liverpuddle has it in them to hold on to top spot very long ?
BC, Rooney isnt a centre forward, hes a striker and a secondary one at that, Berbatov is a centre forward.
@30….Franco moves a lot better than Anelka?
Is it…have u ever played football…off course on green grass on full size pitch, not with those FIFA 08 or 09 softwares…
Assertions
Di Santo moves better than Anelka.
Rooney is a centre forward. Berbatov is a striker.
Anelka is the worst chelsea player in the last 15 years since I’m following. That in relation to his playing minutes, his competition within and outside his team.

We’re tired of you old boy. You were slating lampard last season (now you have your tail between your legs). Was Lampard of last season poorer than Anelka this season?
Rooney started his career. Now in Man United, he is an out and out centre forward. It was Fergie who converted into a CF.
Assertion no.1 – Anelka be a Centre Forward – Right now Anelka is a crap
Assertion no.2 – Anelka be a striker – Right now Anelka is a crap
Assertion no.3 – Anelka be a midfielder – Right now Anelka is a crap
Assertion no.4 – Anelka be a footballer – Right now Anelka is a crap
But anelka can be better, if he atleast improves his first touch.
Saw some news in Tribalfootball that chelsea are willing to sell Bridge, malouda and Ivanovic. Actually i’m ok in seeing these 3 out of chelsea team this january. But what about anelka… I think whoever buys these 3 players will get anelka free.
Give anelka back to bolton. Bolton needs him… He will defenitely perform well there.
blue devil lol
to compare rooney wit anelka.. come ya.. even anelka would be like..nah thats not fair to rooney!
Chelsea4life you said “Anelka brings to this team what a player like Drogba can never…Anelka adds more dimensions to our attack…he is not just shoot and jump….”
Chelsea dont need anelka to add mo dimension to our attack, we got lots of ppl doing that. his job is to score. thats why we got him in the first place.
I would luv teves on our team, but I doubt it man u will let him go..specialy not to chelsea.
Anelka chocks under pressure, he doesnt have the balls to cope wit the big boys.
HAVE chelsea tried to get zlatan ibrahimovic? cause inter just made him the best payed play in da planet just to scare chelsea and real off!!!??
I dont think Liverpool have the strength, both mental nad physical to hold on to the lead that they ve got right now. They ll lose to some team and hand the lead back to us, for sure. And those ppl who support anelka, GO ROT IN HELL. He needs to be sold this Jan for sure. I dont care if he performs a lot better, starts scoring goals, gets a hattrick or some glorious performance. He has had enough chances. we need to get rid of him ASAP.
@40.
Actually, Man U have no say in the matter. They have him on loan. Problem is can we actually afford to buy him seeing that THE BOSS wants the club to run itself these days.
On Lampard;
He’s a great player, a better midfielder than Deco, so I’m happy he didn’t leave ( to me even Ballack is better than Deco in our midfield except he hasn’t hit form this season at all). I’m one of those that give him the stick but I never call him a sack of anything, I’ve always seen him as gold. However, when you look at it without the kind of bias with which Cancorus and co drive Pensioner crazy over Mikel, you will agree he doesn’t show up in the big Matches. Even Champions League final, he scored but did he play. The times the sticks have come have always been after mAtches against the other members of the Big four. That said you only need to beat these others for pride, you dnt need to win them to win the League has Man U have demonstrated. One reason Lampard is doing very well this season is that he is actually passing more and shooting less which justifies all the bad will Anelka gets.
On Anelka;
Bent, Yakubu, Santa Cruz. Seriously, look at these chaps and tell me they wont do a better job. Even defoe. Yet this is the one saddled with the responsibility of top gun of the attack. Centre forward or Striker, we need goals and he doesn’t Deliver QED.
Malouda is crap he plays well on ly against mediocre teams.
Chelsea vs Sunderland :P
Cech, Bosingwa, Terry, Alex, Ashley Cole, Kalou, Deco, Lampard, Mikel, Malouda, Anelka.
OUR BLACK HITMAN IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got to win more home games .. admits scholari ..

Chelsea easier than stoke

i have came up with a january transfer market list for chelsea….
Buy:
striker:
first choice:aguero
second choice:benzema
supporting striker/winger:
first choice:tevez
second choice:schweinsteinger
oooh man I wish Malouda would have put in 1/2 of the chances he had. I predicted 4-0 and even though I was 1 goal off it was still the game I was talking about. Chelsea responded exactly the way we wanted them to meanwhile Liverpool squeak out a late spot kick. Unless it is early May, I’m not worried about Liverpool in the slightest. Manure is still much much more of a threat.
As far as the Anelka thread ~ the results on paper look good and if he can keep them coming and more importantly have the goals he score be the difference makers in the game then I got no problems with him up front.
Who is so sure the Drogs will come back like the Drogba of 2 years ago? Talk about someone that is going to need to re-prove themsleves.
And what’s this talk of Tevez? There is no way in hell ManU will let Tevez come to the Bridge. That’s just obtuse thinking about how the system works in the EPL IMO.
I am Scolari just admitted that he has no Plan B……and he puts that blame to failure in signing Robinho….
I am afraid Scolari just admitted that he has no Plan B……and he puts that blame to failure in signing Robinho….
Actually Crespo in my books is better than Anelka…….. and he always looked dangerous and scored difficult and important goals unlike the sitters that have to be on the plate for Monsieur Sulky !
I just want to see Anelka CREATE AND SCORE a goal.
I’m sick of tap-ins and defensive blunders gifting him goals. I want him to climb for a killer header in the 87th minute between two central defenders and glance a header into the net. Or I want him to take on a right back, beat him, and blast the ball in the corner of the goal. I’m tired of all this forward/creating space/movement crap. There’s no excuse whatsoever for how much he sucks. He’s missed about three or four chances this season that I would have scored, and that’s absolutely not an exaggeration. He was bought for FIFTEEN MILLION POUNDS because as a Bolton player, he was a game changer, a match winner, and could score bloody good goals (Remember the rocket against Arsenal last year???) He is lost in our team, utterly lost. He’s become an attacking midfielder! He’s too often offsides, and that’s not because he’s trying that hard. It’s because he’s too lazy and not getting back!! I admit, he’s had a couple of good games, and I believe that the Bolton Anelka would fit nicely into our team. But he’s a completely different player than the confident, on-form striker he was the couple of months before we bought him.
I want to see Di Santo start against Sunderland.

Completely agree!
