I dnt see the need for the addition of another player if Robinho doesnt arrive

I mean it would be good if we had Robinho but I think we have enough depth in the team this yr to cope without him jus the same…….

And I am a bit selfish cuz I wanna see Scott and Franco get a decent run this season..

1) Captain John Terry. Many people argue Rio Ferdinand should be the captain because he is a better player
For what I can see, Ferdinand is an attack minded player, who defends like sol campbell, getting back with speed to clear the ball where as terry actually positions himself to neutralise the attacker
how many time has ferdinand captained man utd and how many man utd players have ever been given the captain opportunity, internationally or at league level? ask the same question of terry. Our Mr. Chelsea has been selected over the (i think) 5 international captains we have and the 2 (i also think) that the england team contains. Also, when the team is down, be it chelsea or england, Terry is always making plays to drive the team on, be it a tackle or getting foward to make an attempt at goal. In my opinion, the only other person who does this for the England squad is Gerrard.

2) Joe Cole staying for life, I would be gobsmacked if he ever left, he’s one of those players along with Essien, Ballack, Lampard, Cech and Terry I feel will see out their careers at chelsea.

3) The premiership title is ours. I thought man utd would win last season for the same reason we’ll win it this year, we have a squad known by the manager, a manager with plenty of talent and squad depth. we were plagued by injury last season, man utd is facing that problem now, they won’t win domestically this season.

4) Kaka. This guy is creative, not quite as flashy as ronaldinho but gets the job done. He has plenty of experience and was nurtured by scolari. Kaka can be utilised as a striker, centre foward, winger or attacking through the middle. With the squad we have, we don’t need him and if malouda improves, there won’t be any space for him. If we are going to go fro kaka after losing out on robinho, we should not make a ridiculous bid for him, milan need the money, sending sheva their way plus around £35 million for kaka, milan will be more than enough. If there is a player we should be chasing, its lionel messi.

in reply to a few comments on here already 18) Brian W, our centrebacks have always attacked, one at a time just without the added onslaught of the wingbacks, I have watched carvahlo and terry make runs across the middle of the pitch several times. I don’t feel they made much more of a difference against portsmouth, their defending was very dire anyway.
