its sad to say goodbye to makele, one of the best playersover the last few years, at 35 he could still be playing for england on merit, chelsea have yet to find a player to fill the role makele played so well.

Personally, I’d want to see Essien take up the No.8 shirt if and when Lampard does decide to leave. Its the same number he wears for the Ghanaian NT.
