Heartbreak At Moscow | Proud Of The Blues

Injustice. Sheer injustice. Anyway congrats to Man Utd but even Fergie would acknowledge that the better team lost. As much as the defeat I could not stand the sight of an inconsolable Terry and a weeping Ballack. They do not have to feel guilty or ashamed. They played a great final and were just 2 seconds away from winning it. It’s cruel but that’s football.

I’m very proud of the way Chelsea played tonight. And yes, John Terry, I love you and I mean it. You’re a legend. Chin up, we’ll smash them all next season.

15 MM for Anelka . Can’t score a goal. Can’t take a penalty ..

3. - 21st May

@39 i don´t want to blame any of our players. Its God that was against us throughout the season and again in the final match. I feel miserable.

4. - 21st May

Jose Mourinho left with all our tropies…He was a good man

5. - 21st May

It’s not possible to be any closer to victory.

6. - 21st May

@40 – God gives us opportunities. We got to take them. 2 times the strike bar. Joe Cole also has a good chance to score in the second half.

Sheva – European Footballer of the Year – left on the bench. I feel miserable for him.

What happened to Drogba . The rules are clear, why raise your hand and that too in final. Hope some club comes buying for him. He has been cranky since Jose left..

7. - 21st May

@43 i would rather blame referee for today´s loss. For the similar foul tevez didn´t get even a card. He should have been sent out. and he was quick to show cards to chelsea players. and not 1 not 2, but more than 6 bad decisions against chelsea in todays´ game. i felt he should be hanged for his mistakes.

8. - 21st May

First of all congratulations to manchester united. Today the better team did not win. Chelsea did everything that could be possibly done, but it was just not destined for them to lift the trophy. We excelled in all the fields, from the keeper to the attack.United were obviuosly the second best team but that didnt matter. John terry, whom i dont isolate for blame, missed probably the most important shot in his career so far, i cant beleive how he must feel right now. If it is anything that we can take out of this game, it would be inspiration from this defeat. Sometimes defeat encourages you to do better or inspires you to do more, than if an acheivement is made. Under all opposing circumstances we took a full strength united team to the wire once again, but in this case, it was just not destined for us to win. So this has been the first trophyless season for a while, and hopefully next season we will be back hungrier, and stronger than before, and this time prove it with trophies. May the blue flag rise forever……Blue4lyfe.

9. - 21st May

@40 God was never against us.What we lacked was a sound manager who can win finals.Remember carlin cup.Now champion league. His decisions and starting line up in finals have always been poor.He seems confused in such big matches. Why start Maka? Why start Malouda?Mourinho never plays Maka in Manu’s games.Thats not Maka’s kind of games.Mikel would have been the perfect pick.Kalou would have made more sense instead of Malouda.Essien would have fair better in the middle. His progressive move forward brought us our only goal.To cut a long story short,Roman please get us a quality coach.

10. - 21st May

i’m so fuckin proud for our players .. from the 2nd half till the end we totally outplayed them so for this i’m very disappointed and especially for JT he really deserved to score the matchwinner so come on u blues.. be proud of our players ..

11. - 21st May

@44 – Agreed Referee was bad. But I feel in a final, our players got to keep cool also. Most of our players were complaining and walking on the rope. ( Maka & Joe , Ten Cate pulled Maka after first half whistle).

This spoils the image of our club and referees ( human beings after all ) have all this in their back of the mind. This is what I feel.

If Drogba was there , he would have taken the penalty. If a youngster does this, you can understand, but him with all the experience.

I had a great respect for him last season. He carried single handedly the entire season. But his attitude, this season has been bad.

12. - 21st May

@47 if the referee starts to give wrong decisions one after another, even a dog walking by would lose its cool. And after all this is final, and even small decisions make a difference. Thats what happened today, they just boiled at the end, when it was too much.

13. - 21st May

@47 – We can argue about this all day along. Referees gives wrong decisions, because of the image our players have created.

14. - 21st May

i know, its worthless to dicuss all that now. i can´t believe that i cried today.

15. - 21st May

I was very disappointed, but not sad at all. My chin is up, bring on the next year you buggers.
We deserved the 3 points, so to speak, after regulation, we outplayed them over the first 90, and then anything can happen in the penalties.
What a team!
KTBFFH!

16. - 21st May

its wrong to blame the game on any of our players today..we played a much better game than Man Utd. and we know that. we cud almost smell the trophy but yet we didnt get it… and hey, lets take it as a learning experience..trophyless season, fine, let that motivate us to go all guns blazing next season on all four fronts…because if theres one thing im certain abt, it is tht no team (and i mean NO TEAM) can handle chelsea FC at its best . Blues Forever

17. - 21st May

that was depressing… i have some close friends who are ManUre fans and i am sure i will hear from them. why is anelka even taking that penalty?? but also cech kept ronaldo out! great job by chelsea though… just wait till next year!

18. - 21st May

Thanks to all of you blue fans and to all of you BC bloggers for a wonderfil but trophiless season. Cheers to the boyz for great spirit against great odds. cheers to Steve clark and tein cate- thanks to Roman and Pete Kenyon. Thanks to Grant for at least having the desire to make it happen. Now its time to turn the page by doing what should have been done months ago- move Grant out of the seat and get us a world class manager to restore pur capacity for trophies.

I said it here, that keeping essien at the back was detrimental- we needed his surge and energy- fearful grant had no balls to do that. Jose used Essien there only when we needed to go all out attacking.

Thanks to average grant but time for him to move on.

19. - 21st May

Every kid can predict Chelsea line up – 4-3-3 . Only thing , one can’t predict is if Maluda will start or Kalou.

Essien was the best player and should have started in CM. Good that we got Bosigawa for that RB role.

JT – You are the best.

20. - 21st May

i feel so bloody bad for jt, and all the boys, but when the club means so much to him that must be one of the worst feelings in the world.

i think if grant gets himself and the team sorted, next year we will win the premiership again, and possibly the champions league. We just need to find a replacement for drogba and i think we will only improve.

21. - 21st May

in the first half, i tought we were playing FA Cup game against Cardiff City.. only few minutes b4 half time our defenders give too much space for the blue champion resulted in Lampard scoring.. p/s:with the help of our defender. and the rest is history.. we were outplay by chelsea. good game to chelsea. u prove that money almost can buy success. and ur player can actually play a good physical yet attractive game. one thing for sure, in 2nd half, our passing were terrible, giving out possesion and still u cannot take that advantage.anybody who watch the game should agree with me.

22. - 21st May

JOHN TERRY just made himself to be a legend!!!!!

I can honestly say That I am proud to have this guy as our captain!!!!!!

I have never been so proud to be a Chelsea fan in my entire life……….

The spirit, passion, determination and courage showed from the beginning of the first half to the end was just fantastic!!!

Ballack, Terry, Lamps, Makalele, Ashley were just amazing today……so much passion!!!

Thank you boyz…….

23. - 21st May

@cap123…What!!!You are still talking about AG coaching the Team next season. To the left with that nonesense.I dont want to see my team get to two cup finals and lose again.Thats more hard to take than losing in the second round.Anyway,I still thank God for thus seeing us this far.

24. - 21st May

@chaka

well i too would regretfully like to see him leave, i think he seems like a nice bloke whose tried his hardest but is a little out of his depth.

But it seems like he will stay, wasn’t there a recent quote or interview that said he’s almost sure he’ll be here next season? and especially with the recent amazing games, roman is being entertained despite losing and will want to move on with this entertaining formula.

25. - 21st May

I wrote in the preview that definitely ronaldo is one goal due against us and we helped him by offering essien at RB. ronaldo gave him very tough time in the first half almost like we are playing no RB infact. We were lucky that it ended at 1-1 at half time. 2 easy chances missed by tevez and that move started by rooney of his own half was a charm to watch. Our goal was really a luck one hitting 2 defenders and landing in front of super frank who rarely misses. In some sorts it resembled essiens goal against fenerbache where he was benefitted for continuing his run. I think it is really lampards speciality to find spaces and goal scoring positions yet critised if he underperforms in a single game. Super frank you are a hero.

2nd half and extra time we could have easily killed the game but were very unfortunate not to get back of the net. hitting post twice. lampards turn and the kick was great so was drogbas effort of no where. I think ballack wasted a lot of shooting chances which could have atleast been on target. he shot almost 7 times from promising areas. bad day at office german. The 2 free kicks also didnt induced any save from keeper. One chance of essien when he blasted his shot over later to see even a half shot would have been a goal as keeper had slipped off. man utd meanwhile were geting poor from bad.anyways 1-1 full time ill take it.

On to penalties and in come balletti. I wonder why sheva didnt came in place of balletti. He is a proven penalty taker. something is definitely wrong . its not just about football there with sheva.
After seeing cech going wrong way for the first 2 penalties scenes of liverpool started coming to my mind. I wonder how worlds best keeper cant save penalties. cech proved me wrong and stopped ronaldo telling him he better keep his foot on ground for future.4-4 it was and we were european champions just millimeters away. But destiny had something else and terry missed. rains made him slip and the even when the goalie was going wrong way terry missed target. finally the inevitale happened and the 15million striker with 2 goals missed . van der sarr again proved that their success in last 2 seasons has a lot to do with him and not just ronaldo.

Its actually easy to take such defeats when no one really wants you to win. everyone wanted man utd to win and they won. Lets be a team which everyone wants to win next season.

26. - 21st May

I feel sorry for terry for what he has to go through whole his life. I have had a similar event in my life and believe me it haunts big time. you will always come across a few non sense people who would directly blame the indivisual for everything. terry is strong person but it will still be tough.

for me terry you are always a hero. It was your clearance of giggs shot on open goal which brought us till penalties. It is your partnership with riccy which has won us so many trophies over the 3 yr jose span. i would always have your good memories.

27. - 21st May

Great, None of strikers even in the first five penalty takers. We need two defenders to do that honours.

JT, you are a great hero and you had the will & guts to take that spot kick ahead of our strikers.

28. - 21st May

Drogba – One time Asset, now a liability !!

Even after Sheva scored against Bolton and considering his Champions league experience, felt depressed, that he could not even come as a substitute.

29. - 21st May

john terry is absolutely the best
hes a great capt. and it breaks my heart to think that he thinks he’s blown it for chelsea
the boyz played great out ther and im genuinely proud to be a chelsea fan today

30. - 21st May

KTBFFH !

Congrats ManUre too !

31. - 21st May

all played well xcpt that sulking anelka
get that guy out
he doesnt hve that chelsea spirit
shuldnt blame any OTHER players
we ll b the champions next year
chin up

32. - 21st May

Even though i am a Man Utd fan i must congratulate you guys on how your team played. You guys are probably smarting about your loss right now but you guys have nothing to be ashamed of. Eventually one team had to win it and we had that extra bit of luck that was needed. The game itself was wonderful to watch and i must thank you for that. Fair play to you lads and better luck next time.

33. - 21st May

I hav just stopped crying,it’s been whole night i just can’t digest the loss.
I hav made biggest decision of my life is not to follow football ever.Apart from the whole world, even The Almighty(God) was biased for mancheaters united.I didnt expect that at all.

34. - 21st May

Avram should start with Kalou instead of Malouda, big mistake to play Essien at right-back.. it was an easy free header C.R took, bad marking. And I think Avram should bring on experienced Sheva in 2nd half. Anyway I’m proud of Chelsea and the players except for Avram. Forget this bad miserable season.. all I know is that we will give no more chance to MU, Pools nor Arsie next season. We don’t even gonna give luck a chance cuz we will not play by luck anymore. For that Mr. Abramovic, please kick that Toad’s fat ass outta Blues’ seat, and hire a better man. He don’t even fit to be our Sport Director.
Get a good right-back, and a super striker to replace Drogba. Rumors have been linking us with Geovanni dos Santos. He’s a right wing ataccker, good to have him to compete with Joe Cole. Hunterlaar or David Villa in the center and Kalou gonna have his place.

Peter Cech

Dani Alves??
Carvalho
JT
Asley

Ballack
Mikel
Lampard

Kalou
Villa / Hunterlaar
Joe Cole / G. dos Santos

@BC

It’s such a bad feeling. But last night made me the proudest blue ever.I have never been more proud of our team.

We started very poorly and took almost 40 minutes to settle in……..manure’s could have been easily 3-0 up by the time we settled in.
for first time i saw big-game bottler cristiano being the best player on pitch…..essien was being humiliated……joe came to the rescue………together they were able to completely vanish the threat of ronaldo.
malouda had one of his better games in blue shirt………..drogba was in his off mode though manage to hit the bar.lampard, ballack and makelele were brilliant.
but once we settled in,there was only one team who controlled proceedings and that was chelsea.
long live chelsea………..i m proud of terry and very person associated with our club

” There is only one team in BLUE playing football “

” The best team lost the match”
——————————————— TSO

Though he is the manager of Manure, congrats to Sir Alex, and his famous quote

“Football, bloody hell”
————————————————-

You know, Terrys is the best captain of all the football world playing right now. Only dissapointment of the match, apart from the loss, for me is that Anelkas substituted ahead of Schevas.

————————————————–

The loss only made us even more stronger.

37. - 21st May

ballack,j cole, lamps played supereb and we deserved a win but we lost it and ballack missed so many long range shots, and he is not in full form for chelsea still..because i have seen in germany playing many important matches and he used to score regularely..

38. - 21st May

i m in pits….really heartbroken….just few inches wide shot cost us the title…but then this is football….lets pull ourselves up for next season..

39. - 21st May

I am gutted. We deserved to win after the fantastic performance of the lads today. We are the best team in Europe no doubt.

A few points:
1. The referee had a terrible game. Very stop start, undisciplined, definitely favoured Man U in the 50 50′s

2. Essien was awful at right back. Really bad, outjumped and out of position for the Ronaldo goal and every time down the left channel, Ronaldo and Evra killed us.

3. Mental toughness. We were tougher. Dominating shots (almost double that of United) and strong in the shootout.

4. Luck. Sometimes it is just misfortune. Especially in a shoot out.

5. Next season, look to Mikel and either Sheva or Anelka to make a push for the first team. We must keep Carvalho, Drogba and Lampard and add to the team. Much like what Ferguson has done around Ferdinand, Scholes, Giggs etc. New players around a core.

6. Winning the CL is not far from our reach given Roman’s money, the spine of our team and our collective spirit and our experience. Next year we could very well push through to the final again if we plug the (obvious) weaknesses in our team at RB (Bosingwa) and left wing (missing Robben). Given our progress in beating Liverpool and eventually making the final, we should be able to do what teams like Valencia and Leverkusen have done and go the distance again.

Finally, whilst it is so bitter to lose to any team, especially Man United, we can have our chins up, and acknowledge that we are a big club, like Milan and United, and we will be there again. Next time though, we will win! History never remembers the losers, so next time we will make history as blue champions.

Go the Blues.

lolz adonis.. reminds me of essien post match interview where he also spoke something like that after some champions league match that we deserved 3 points… :)

45. - 21st May

well we deserved to win no doubt about it .next season we will bounce and win epl and ucl

46. - 21st May

What a heck of a way to end a season. Grant starts Malouda instead of Kalou, Drogs gets himself a red card, JT slips, and Anelka misses. But, any team that can finish second in the Prem and CL (and the Carling) has nothing to be ashamed of. Yeah, we can all talk about how we won stuff the last 3 seasons. But, if this is a bad year (and it is), a lot of other clubs wish they had our bad year. Just ask Derby or Arsenal.
Now comes the real deal; OFF SEASON DECISIONS. My predictions:
Thank you Grant. Now go back to your office job.
Steve Clarke, it is your team now.
Drogs, Essien, Carvaliho, Lamps; good to see you again for 08-09.
And, let’s try to snag some raw, young striker instead of trying to get Robinho from Real for 55million.

47. - 21st May

@34, Are you alive??? There is no Daniels Alves, I guess you forgot that we already got Bosingwas. Again I say, No more strikers to us unless both Drogbas and Schevas leave and I have said ’10′ number of times that we need a genuine No.10 playmaker in the MF. And may be a Left winger or LM, bcos I want Kalous to play more as forward than winger.

Grumpy, Go get Diego or Kaka and do one good thing before u leave, and yeah thanks for your stinking arse, though it did not work in the final.

48. - 21st May

why was grant given two medals at the presentation?

what would have happened if penalties had reached 10-10 with chelsea 1 man down?

49. - 21st May

chelsea is cursed when Mikel was stolen from Man Utd

50. - 21st May

If Drogba was not red carded, John Terry might be the sixth player to take the penalty. And that if Drogba is not red carded, he might be one of the first 5 penalty taker and we would have won it by then with JT no need to take the penalty and celebrate it. This words has its own truths.

51. - 21st May

Sell:benhaim,sidwell,drogba,anelka,SWP,ferriera,bohlahrouz
buy:quaresma,vanderwaat/robinho, and one young gd striker…

52. - 21st May

Drobga should be sold. With this recent outbursts, he is become a disgrace.

53. - 21st May

@48 – second medal was for drobga

54. - 21st May

chelsea wee lucky to score, all season chelsea had tatrum drodba, and next sulky anelka, grant should be sacked for buying anlelka a known loser, and has been, and for playing two light weights balleck and lampard in the middle and essien chelsea best player all season at right back madness, maluda a luxery player, very sad when the winning team sat on the bench, come back clough all is forgiven.

55. - 21st May

48@ one for him and one for Drogba and if the penalty had reached 10-10 then will start again from the first player from Ballack again ..

56. - 21st May

Well was a good match of 2 halves.
But I think it is in good hands the trophy, after all ManU had the hardest way to reach the final.
Pity I wanted Chelsea to win, but not this time, many believe that Chelsea will be in the final soon, I have my doubts, if Lamps, Drogba, Carvalho leave, these are players really hard to replace, the skill and experience hard to find.
Ryiskaard said that he would like to take a 1 year sabatical, so I do not know if he joins Chelsea.
Chelsea really needs a new manager, the players were motivated by themselves, did not see AG giving any instructions when Chelsea was losing 1-0 and could have been 3, if tevez or rooney had scored. But the 2nd half chelsea was better.
Well now for the European Nations Competition.

57. - 21st May

no . words .. I have been subdued ..feel sad 4 Terry

58. - 21st May

Changing the manager will not bring attractive football. Players should be changed also . Drogba and Anelka – two useless strikers. We need strong reinforcements there.

59. - 21st May

@BC

I am unable to concentrate on anything at all……………tears keep coming and i sit hopeless.
I wanted to speak a few things

1.John Terry is LEGEND-There is no other word that defines the man……..i pray to god that he will come back stronger mentally.

2.The Spine we need our squad to be build upon
Cech
Terry[World's best Captain]
Carvalho
Ashley Cole[Absolute class.....i don't know anyone who rates Bridge anymore than him]
Essien
Lampard[He has won me over with his attitude]
Ballack

These are the guys who care……who gave us their all inspite of all that has happened.

3.Didier Drogba NEEDS TO BE SHIPPED IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER HE WANTS TO STAY OR NOT.
I won’t forget the red card which drogba literally pulled out of refree’s pocket at such a crucial juncture and crucial moment in such a crucial match. If he had little care,he wouldn’t have done the act.[he was destined to take the fifth penalty]
What pissed me that vidic did not provoke him and yet he ran 50 yards to pull the red card out.

4.Avram Grant-99% CFC Fans hated him when he arrived……..there is no way i can prove it but from whatever i have seen from the following [Orkut Comm,Rivals Comm,CFCNet,CFCBlog]he has won over more than 60% of fan base at minimum by his attitude, the dignity he has shown throughout the season, results.
And yes he cares………..he is not Jose Mourinho and even if he goes Manager resembling mourinho in working style is not going to come.
For instance last night Grant motivated and was on by lines giving instructions much more than SAF who was almost a spectator.

As a poster on CFCNet summed it up

When he collected his medal last night, his face came up on the big screen. There was genuine warmth in the applause for the guy. He deserved it.

To be a leader of highly driven, high ego people, it isn’t necessary to have a bigger ego yourself. Jose was the best organiser I have ever seen but you did it his way in his structure and there was very little flexibility in his approach, which is why we could never win against Liverpool. Benitez worked out that Mourinho couldn’t adapt, so score first and sit in.

What Avram has shown, especially in his treatment of Frank Lampard and in his consolation of JT last night is that he is a human being, not Robomanager. I’m impressed with the man. He clearly does not have the track record as a manager that Mourinho did but Jose’s trouble started as soon as players started to believe they were worth what we were paying for them. Avram has got more out of them individually than Jose ever did. He has been able to retain the best of the Mourinho era but he has added to it, making use of the same players.

Last night, Ashley Cole was magnificent, his best performance in a Chelsea jersey. Malouda had his best game for Chelsea and was no longer the scared child he looked just pre and post Jose’s departure. Michael Ballack has become a force under Avram and his performance in the second half was wonderful. Frank is motoring again. We were the cavalier attacking side last night and Manure the dour defensive mob (after 30 mins!). These guys are performing for someone. It may be for themselves rather than for the manager but that may be a better way for a team to perform and play than by being subjected to the rigourous structure of Jose. One thing is sure, the focus is now on the players and not on the manager, his pronouncements, his “mind games”, his walking out at the Nou Camp to draw the attention upon himself (sorry, to take the pressure off his players). Maybe some of them like that.

I STILL THINK HE WILL BE PUSHED UPSTAIRS But I Will give a rallying cry to all the fellow blues to give the man the due credit irrespective of how he got the job.

5.Standards of the comment on Blog
BC,don’t get me wrong…..i m at no point trying to say that standards have fallen caus commentors praise jose all the time..or critisize grant all the time………i m taking about intelligent posts and non-intelligent posts.
For Ex-You create a Man Utd-Chelsea preview thread……….the comments remain the same………sack grant……sack grant………bring mourinho etc………i.e comments which are posted more due to hatred.
Like you,Nihongo and some others put their point in intelligent manner and certain section of commentors just come for critisising and rarely contribute anything to blog except for their hatred and their uni-dimensional views.

60. - 21st May

guys whats the news on transfer front…which players r to come and which ones r leaving…

61. - 21st May

It started way back at the beginning of the season with a loss to Man U on penalties in the Community Shield, and so it ends. We’ve gone full circle. Cech, Essien, Carvalho, Terry, Ashley, Makalele, Lampard, Ballack, Malouda, Joey, and Drogba are champions in our books, and we’ll certainly be back in the final, and we’ll win it, too.

62. - 21st May

the team did great. my hart goes with terry. i really feel for him i cried when he missed i knew it was over. chelsea was the better team and even the fvckin utd players know it. what drogba did was selfish. you dont do that to your team mates. he is not a real blue player. he has done good stuff for uss but this was a wrong ending of his stay at chelsea. let him go to milan with the other cry babies. chelsea is a club for players with heart and love for the club a player like terry and cech and you know who. next year we will be back with a stronger team with moore fire and we will win every trophie. CAUSE WE ARE CAREFREE. CHELSEA FOR LIFE!!!

63. - 21st May

We need to buy a decent winger, a proven striker and an up and coming striker to support him. Then we will be champions.

Quaresma please for that first position.

64. - 21st May

Umpiring mockery, biased decision, lack of concentration have cost us this lost. Time only can heal.

65. - 21st May

i cringe at the thought of JT crying. why oh why are we so ill fated this season.

oh heck, next season, HERE WE COME!

66. - 21st May

Hi guys..

Grant’s obsession with Essien at RB finaly caught up with him..

We have 2 Ex UCL winning RB’s in our squad..Both fit..n he opts to play essien there..Before yesterday night, forget scoring, Cronaldo has never touched the ball while playing against us..yesterday he raped essien during the 1st half..Ferreira has always been more than a handful for Cronaldo n rooney..but Grant drops him..

Malouda starts on the left wing..why???..Kalou has been great on the left throughout the season..why start malouda???

Essien should have started in maka’s place..so lamps, ballack & essien in midfield..

Why didnt he bring on sheva???…proven player..penalty taker..experienced

Then the penalties..

Common sense says that a striker or a midfielder has a greater percentage of scoring than a defender

why did we have 3 defenders taking penalties in our top 5????

kalou n anelka should have been in the top 5..

Anelka missed alright..but maybe it would have been different if he had taken a regular kick instead of the sudden death one

Grant is a good coach..but not a GREAT one…

Chelsea need a great coach to drive them forward..someone with Drive n desire..someone with a ruthless attitude..someone who hates losing

————————————————————————————–

I am surprised some of you want Drogba to stay..For what???…To hear him bad mouth us again next season????..or for him to repeat something like he did last night???

what he did yesterday on one of the biggest nights in CFC history was unpardonable..Hes 30 years old..experienced n at the peak of his career..what was he thinking when he hit Vidic in front of the ref & linesman??..Irresponsible to the core..I WILL HATE HIM FOREVER n I HOPE HE LEAVES CFC

He has been firing his mouth off right from the start of the season..all his crying about leaving marseille n all..then his post match interview after we beat arseanl 2-1 at home..”CHELSEA FANS SHOULD GIVE SOME RESPECT TO WILLIAM GALLAS AS HE HAS DONE A LOT FOR THE CLUB”..Chelsea fans should respect someone who says he will score an own goal against us????..Please LEAVE DROGBA..n take ur dear friend Gallas along with u if u love him so much

For Next season we need

1)A good manager who has HUNGER for success..someone with a proven track record

2)We need a striker in the mould of Ruud Van Nistel Roy..someone who lurks in and around the penalty box n knows how to score

3)A good winger on the left..someone FAST n pacy..

***************If possible Micah Richards as well..because he is the FUTURE..the next Rio fedinand or JT in the making*******************************************************

=====And The manager should make the team practice penalty shootuts daily==============

OUT

Ben haim, Beletti
Makalele, Malouda,SWP
Pizzaro, Drogba

I was hoping we sell Bridge n get Lahm..but Lahm has commited to bayern..so we stick with bridge

RA n Kenyon wanted 2 UCL titles in 10 years..5 years are up..we have 3 UCL semis & 1 UCL final in 5 years..NOT BAD
Forget 2 UCL titles in the next 5 years, i just want us to win once atleast in the next 5 years..I want to see JT, RC, Lamps, Ballack, cech etc lift the trophy

Once again..Grant..please resign..Drogba please LEAVE

Chin Up guys..we will be back stronger n meaner next season

67. - 21st May

My only gripe about yesterday’s performance is that Ferdinand was obviously, visibly injured a bit and at 50% and Chelsea didn’t take full advantage of that !

68. - 21st May

@64 “2)We need a striker in the mould of Ruud Van Nistel Roy..someone who lurks in and around the penalty box n knows how to score”

We have Sheva and still don’t use him ..

Roman , Please sell Drogba .. Useless fellow . Now even saying TSO used to plan yellow cards.. This guy doesn’t deserve to be in CFC, speaks foul mouth of club & Managers.

69. - 21st May

@46. Johnarejr….. bang on with that point mate
@47. MoiBlue….your right kalou is a striker and we should use him that way!!!
we should expect a rebuild at chelsea now… so real flair players.. but we should not go for expensive players like Messi or kaka, Ramos and Ronnie, maybe some real stronge English players with real HEART like JT!!! Essien MUST go in the midfield now because Bosingwa and ivanovic/Fererra are there, we alos have an unexpected arrival in”Alcides” from PSV released from his load so we are over loaded with defenders now, we must teach him to play LB(Taye Taiwo is a great LB we should look at him ), we should go for Veloso to back up Mikel. we MUST get Queresma and Dos Santos and any cost though and some real classy MF players to rebuild the core of the team !!!!!

70. - 21st May

@64. TrueBlueInd…”Chelsea need a great coach to drive them forward..someone with Drive n desire..someone with a ruthless attitude..someone who hates losing”… like Jose the special one!!!!
i wonder if Rijkaard had that ruthless attitude????!!! what about Zenit’s coach!! i hope they beat manu!!!!

71. - 21st May

I could have been ashamed if i had been a chelsea fan.
The game played with utter respect and foul plays. How dumb can ballack be for arguing every decision. How pathetic Drogba can be for acting in things which they knew were wrong.
They did throw ball outside rather than giving to keeper twice and still went out to argue with ref. What do they think of themselves.King of this world!!They way ballack was posing himself-his hips on his hand- really was hopeless to watch.
I still dont think why do u think they deserve.
Do they deserve cause they striked the pole twice.Do they deserve for the bloody noses they caused.Do they deserve for igniting useless chaos in match which was so precious to their manager.
Chelsea players consider themselves more than their team and thats what that cost u.
Thats a big difference for winning twice around and winning for 19 years.

72. - 21st May

we should take drogba to mental doctor get his head right if recovers mentally then he should stay dont forget he has scored important goals this season but he was not at his best except agaist arsenal and liverfool in cl in first halfof season oct nov period he was awesome .

73. - 21st May

@Varun..

Hi Dude !!!! Chelsea was the better team yesterday, only because luck and Stupid Drogba ur MANU team won the final.

Even Alex Ferguson told we were better team…LOL.

“I thought we were fantastic in the first half and should have been three or four up and they got a lucky break right on half-time,” said Ferguson.

“It gave them an impetus because I thought they were the better team in the second half, extra time, they had more power than us. ” by Alex Ferguson

I feel down as a BLUE Fan, However i still love and admire Terry and all our Players and MR. Avram Grant, I agree i expected Kalou to start instead of Malouda but Grant knows best, any way deeply disappointed but still wearing my CHELSEA Jersey proudly. This season has made us stronger it was a rough one, i mean after Mourinho left we could have gone down but we STOOD FIRM and CHALLENGED like true FIGHTERS and thats the Kind of spirit and heart we need to carry in the next SEASON. I think we maybe be saying goodbye to some of our players notably DROGBA and some others however we should have a competitive side next season i love CHELSEA FOREVER

76. - 21st May

we need to take our chances

77. - 21st May

John Terry should be ashamed of himself. He gets paid over £100,000 a week to be a professional footballer and yet cannot score a penalty kick from 12 yards. He has let the team down, his manager down, the club down and every single fan who paid to go to Moscow to watch them down. Captain Fantastic? I don’t think so. Captain Hang Your Head in Shame and Stop Crying Like a Girl and Pay Back Your Wages Whilst You Are At It You Loser is more accurate. The sooner he follows Jose to some European backwater the better. I certainly will not be paying to watch another Chelsea game so long as he is in the team.

78. - 21st May

Absolutely Gutted. We dominated the 2nd half and ET and once it went to pens it was inevitable. When was the last time Chelsea won in pens? We lost v Red Scousers in CL SF, Man U in CS & even v Charlton in CC. Lamps was the man of the match from both sides – absolutely incredible. Unlucky with the chip at crossbar as was Drogs. Upset at JT’s miss – he had a fantastic match again, especially that brilliant clearance. Let’s be honest we would have been nowhere near CL Final and taking the Premiership to the last day without him. The club was in an absolute mess after Jose was “sacked” and he got everyone together which was almost an impossible task considering Jose’s influence in Chelsea and his relationship with most of the players. JT & Lamps are true legends at this football club & we couldn’t give a f*** what others think. I also don’t understand why everyone is concentrating on JT’s penalty miss only (he was not even supposed to take the pen as Drogs was the 5th penalty taker) and it was Anelka’s miss which handed the title to Man U anyway. However, in in the media you wouldn’t even know that Anelka missed a penalty! Strange…

Not sure why Malouda played 90 mins either – he was absolute rubbish and Kalou scored 11 goals for us this season (and he missed 2 months because of the African Cup.) Joey was poor as well, and to be frank if he was not a Chelsea fan during when he was a child he would get a lot of stick – no one wants to blame him for anything! He was fit and available for the entire season (possibly the only player for us this season!) and he scored 10 goals for us in a 4-3-3 formation. How he can win the Player of the Season is beyond me really – well, “he’s a Chelsea lad through and through”…great! Lamps missed quite a lot of matches because of injury and other reasons and he still finished as our top goalscorer with 20 goals and with the highest assists as well. He was not even nominated (in the top 3) for Player of the Year!

Anyways, hopefully Lamps, Drogs & Riccy will stay at the football club but I wouldn’t put my money on it. I have a feeling all 3 might head for the same football club. Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen.

Keep the Blue Flag Flyin High!

79. - 21st May

At least this game had a good lesson for Roman. You do not need to play beautifully in order to win trophies.
Just a stupid person believe Man played better than Chelsea, but at the end of the day they won.

80. - 21st May

@77. Trevor Bannister :
You do not watch a Chelsea game anymore, Who cares? :) ).

81. - 21st May

of course. ALL THE EXCUSES ARE OUT the BLIND chelsea fans are about

blue champion im dissapionted in you, “fergie would admit the best team won”? is tht the united tht shld have been 3-0 up in 30 minutes and had a goal cleared of the line.

yeh chelsea dominated the 2nd half, hit the post and bar twice. and a half of dominance each was seperated in extra time.

so how exactly wer u the better team? did u completly miss the 1st half and the goal line clearance?

if u ever wondered why chelslki are hated, it is because of blind loyalty like that

the game was equall, it went down 2 a lottery in penalties, and man utd won.

ps i dont feel 4 terry it was partly his fault drigba was sent off, creating an argument 4 a tevez nt giving the ball bacj, JUST like chelski did TWICE!!!!

so arrogant it unbeliveable.

neway CHUMPS MAN UTD r the champions of england and KINGS OF EUROPE. eat ut heart out. ha ha ha

82. - 21st May

oh and HOW LUCKY was Lmpards goal 2 deflections. bet NONE of u saw tht right?

83. - 21st May

@77. Trevor Bannister

Do you know anything about football. Ronaldo is getting paid either more than or equal to Terry. Didn’t he miss two penalty out of three ?

The culprit was our crib baby : – Drogba .. We have to ship him to Barca and get Etto.

Chelsea would be doing cruel injustice to Sheva, if Drogba will be sold to Milan. CFC has tortured Sheva just too much.

84. - 21st May

Champion’s league final was the best football game i have ever seen.Chelsea was the best team in the final, but luck was with MANU.John Terry will be our best captain forever.

I am going to list Some points because of which Chelsea lost the final.

1) Main Reason is drogba, why player of his experience do such a silly mistake ,John terry was not in the list of five penalty taker’s ,only because drogba was red carded john terry took the Kick.We should Sell drogba, because now he is no longer loyal Chelsea player.

2) Playing Essien in Fullback position,Ronaldo and Evra outplayed Essien in first half, joe cole was most time defending and with essien in first half but in second half essien and joe cole dominated right side, but Still we lost powerful Essien in our Midfield , Essien was the trump card of chelsea just like ronaldo to MANU, Whenever essien attacked Manu defense were stretched.

3)When chelsea was dominating the game , we where not able to kill MANU,if we moved to 4-4-2 during second half ,we may have won the game, but avram brought Anleka as winger when Rio Ferdinand was struggling with an injury,if avram played Drogba and Anelka as he did in ARSENAL game then we may have won the game before 90min, also avram didn’t used Sheva’s Experience.

Avram, thank u for our contribution, u should move away from manager position, because this season we had a clear chance for wining all the four trophy but we lost all the trophy ,it is mainly because Avram is a good Manager but not the best,Chelsea will bounce back next season, but next season we have to rebuild our team, also we should give main priority to EPL than Champion’s league, because next year European powerhouse REAL MADRID , BAYER MUNICH AND JUVENTAS are back, so it will be very difficult. We Need good strikers for replacing Drogba and Pizaro go for Berbatov and David villa , also we need one good winger to replace Arjen Robben.

Come ON Chelsea , Next Season We will be the champion’s.

JOHN TERRy U r Simply the BEST……

85. - 21st May

Will Jose get a job next week after Copa Italia final. Hope he comes and takes Drogba with him..

Need a complete revamp in our striker dept – Drogba ,Anelka, and Pizzario to be sold.

Imagine the Champions league final penalty shoot out and it is 3 defenders and 2 midfielders taking the firt 5 penalty.

Big thumbs up to Terry, Lampard, Ballack, Essien , Cech , Carlavaro, Ashley Cole. They played breathtaking football. If not for one stupid’s mistake, we would have been the champions.

86. - 21st May

Drogba has disgraced Chelsea in their first Champions’ League Final. I’ll admit Vidic was owning his ASS all night, but that slap was digusting. This scumbag should be banned for life.

87. - 21st May

It is good to see that the Gods of football are weighing the scales of sportsmanship. Last night the balance was restored. When the ball is kicked out so our player can receive treatment, we must return it. We failed to do so twice last night and once, decisively, against Arsenal. It’s a real shame and it bit us back last night.

88. - 21st May

Earlier in the season, I was think that AG should be replaced first at the end of the season. My priority has changed – Kick Drogba out !!! .

Not fit to wear the blue dress anymore. Gifted the champions league.

89. - 21st May

we need a new replacement for DD. he has lost all of his spirit and he has no disire to play at cfc anymore. he just needs to go. we should sign a good young striker like aguero who will still be going in 7 or 8 years.

90. - 21st May

basically the game was balance.. looking back the 1st half domination by Man Utd and after that it was Chelsea all the way.

We-Man Utd did created clear cut chance(in 1st half), whereas u guys-Chelsea are just lingering aroud the penalty box and playing shooting from distance. It’s a very difference scenario.. in another word, U CANNOT PENETRATE OUR DEFENCE.

having saying all that, i would say u had a very good season despite the troublesome transition period that u have. for certain player such as drogba, they should move on. their loyalty left Chelsea together with Jose.

Chelsea now and b4: b4, defensively very tough and hard to penetrate. Cech is not as good as b4. maybe becos of previous injury. lampard and ballack together didnt bring the best in Lampard. when Lampard is not playing, Ballack did excellent job and so did Lampard. Drogba is not playing to his full potential, same case with Etoo at Barca.

91. - 21st May

what do you guys think about going for Brazilian Diego……

92. - 21st May

2 mins to go to penalties and we had one substitution left … just in the hindsight i was thinking will grant bring on cudacini for cech.. i do not feel the same confidence with cech for penalties as any other keeper in premiership. It would have been really hard on cech but may be given a thought to have a penalty specialist keeper for cup matches… it wont hurt to prepare our 3rd choice keeper as a penalty shootout specialist and have him as an option in subs bench for cup matches…it can shake the opposition mentally as well before they come to take penalties.. 2 yrs loosing on penalties is tough for me. however i should say cechs performance this yr was very good.

93. - 21st May

Luck Error : luck credit limit exceeded. The user has used all his luck quota for the season as well as next. please wait for fresh stock to come. The user has already exceeded the limit and the balance will be deducted in future regularly.

94. - 21st May

@90 amiaq_ferguson

You had one clear cut chance, we hit the bar twice. Ballack missed a long range. You can write about your defense, but it is your luck which saw you through.

95. - 21st May

guys i feel very sorry for grant….. he really tried.. but i guess the club has to pay for no replacing JM with a world class manager….. Thanks for the effort GRANT. but i dont want the club to be sacking managers every season if they dont get the right result….

96. - 21st May

@ 93. Nihongo Blue hey man i dont have faith in our chelsea player worst of all CECH why would any one sub cech ??? Penalties are u predictable…you have to guess !!!!

97. - 21st May

I’d have to say, before submitting this comment I have to agree that it is a fair one. When you published your article, you’d hope your opinion was fair, yet, Chelsea unlike you think were definately not the best team on the night. They were certainly unlucky with the ‘wood’ work saving United on 3 occaisions but Manchester United were only inferior in the second half of extra time. Like Riise’s own goal in the 92nd minute against Liverpool, Chelsea had luck. Against United it ran out. United SHOULD have been 3 up by half time but for the heroics of Petr Cech.

Chelsea at least lost gracefully, with JT spitting at Tevez and Drogba slapping Nemanja Vidic. This was echoed in London, with Chelsea’s decent supporters rioting in Fulham.

I have listed the following points:

1) United were over-all the better AND luckier team.
2) Drogba is scum
3) JT is scum
4) Chelsea’s fans are likely to keep the stereotype of ‘morons’ should they continue acting they way they do. Maybe they watched ‘Football Factory’ one time too many.

I’d like to add that I was happy for Frank Lampard to score for him and his mum.

17 League titles and 3 BIG cups… that’s what we call history.

98. - 21st May

Denver – Deigo is amazing. He would be great replacement for Lampard,if he goes.
We should also sign Moutinho, another tireless midfielder.

In the front, go for Gomez and Amauri.

Will Roman spend so much. Reports in Newspaper say he is not interested any more..

99. - 21st May

i am even more gutted now knowing the winner would have played in intercontinental cup in tokyo and i would have got a chance to see my team play live . really i have missed a realistic chance. chelsea come to tokyo.

100. - 21st May

Left winger. Sincerely, dont do stupid things and buy another big money signing, we already have the solution. PROMOTE SCOTT SINCLAIR.

101. - 21st May

Super Mario, Mario gomez that is needs to be bought, the guys a freak. Hes like RVN hes bobs up in the areas and reads the play well, can also score screamers. this season 19 goals in 25 games and last season voted german player of the year. and about the left wing problem, we have never fixed it. Ever since duff and robben left we are lacking there. We where once feared in thw ing department. Now its our biggest dissapointment, yes its even more dissapointing that the right0back problem. The right back problem is fixed now with Bosingwa. We should go for RIbery, Robinho and sell Malouda in a part exchange deal with Dos Santos involved. Diego is wonderfull, if Roman wants to see buetiful football he needs to be bought, along with VDV and Hamsik. Even if Lampard stays we still need to get one or two of them.id love chelsea evon more if we played like man utd or arsenal.

102. - 21st May

MOIBlue Sinclair already is promoted, if you Where a true supporter you would know that.

103. - 21st May

Jose Mourinho in an interview by the Portuguese sports paper “oJogo” said that you was very sad with Chelsea’s defeat.
He said that there are fantastic players in the Chelsea team and they did not deserve to lose, but he congratulated Alex Ferguson and the Portuguese polayers Nani and Ronaldo.
So you are an ex manager, probably the most successful ever to manage chelsea, still feeling Chelsea and sad by the defeat, hardly a man with any kind of rancour towards the club. I like this hardly the “arrogance”" that some try to imply.

104. - 21st May

actually of all 5 romans season we have had, we have only won silserware with jose as manager.. this yr atleast FA cup and league cup were very easy to win.

105. - 21st May

Gruesome match, and undeniably, the worse team lost. Reminds me a bit of 2005 and 2006 finals.

In 2005, Milan was 3-0 up. Imagine their heartbreak ;)

And in 2006, Arsenal played better football throughout, and yet lost by a goal that was injustice (the ref who allowed it, was also seen earlier posing with a Barca shirt).

I think we’ve been lucky to get even until here (imagine what would’ve happened without Rise’s own goal – we’d not have reached finals), and to say Manure won by luck alone is not fair.

1) The stupid refs who always gives decisions in favour of legacy clubs like Manure, Real Madrid and AC Milan (I’ve said this before here at BC).
2) Michael Essien played at RB. Even then, he surged forward in creation of the first goal. Imagine if he played center midfielder. I hear folks who say first goal was lucky. I disagree – after hearing of Essien’s searing long-range shots against other sides, I’m sure atleast one of Manure’s defenders panicked when they saw Essien lining up his shot. And the first two guys couldn’t react quickly enough (which is why it deflected), which is why Lamps got the goal. I remember some Liverpool fans saying they were afraid of Essien, that he looked like a freak and that he was the only Chelsea player they’d have loved to have at Anfield.
3)Not sending in Sheva even in extra time. That might have made Terry think twice before stepping up to take penalty, but oh well….

All in all, I think we’ve had a fair season. Some absurd referee decisions were evened out by luck at Fenerbahce and Stamford Bridge in Champions League, and many more in EPL. Perhaps more consistent performances could have prevented last minute equalizers. A better manager would augur well for us next season.

Many are pecking Avram Grant, and I have done so too, but looking back, he was meant to be a temporary placeholder until a better manager came. And in that position, AG has done admirably well. It is only when people think of him as a real and long term coach that he fails. As for his stupid tactics and oxymoron looks in matches, they’re God-given, and he cannot do anything. He talks positively (or tries to do so), and says they play good football, but in the end, every player and coach would do so because doing anything else would be suicidal to players’ confidence. And try to look at the positives – Ballack, Joe Cole, Kalou etc. have done well under him, mostly better than they did under Jose Mourinho. In terms of man management, I can blame him for only a handful of failures by otherwise exceptional players – Sheva, Anelka and Wayne Bridge.

I wonder what’s up with Shevchenko, though. Everyone reports that he’s been positive during training, and has returned to reasonable fitness, trained hard and played in reserve matches. Even then, after more than a half a decade of being one of Europe’s top marksman, he was not even subbed in when penalties became obvious. Maybe Grant is jealous or not confident enough? It is probably the former, because he has shown faith in others like Ballack and J.Cole, both of who have paid him back with match-winning performances.

106. - 21st May

drogba is gonna leave…….we need a young and skillful striker….villa in mind!
and i think that if we got dos santos from barca then we can have back up in left mid and then we can sell malouda…..
