Chelsea FC would unveil the new home kit for the 08-09 season on 08-May. The new feature in this new kit is this white collar that won’t go unnoticed. I’m not a big fan of collars in football jerseys but this one looks fine. In fact, I can’t wait to buy one.

I liked the above image of Ballack, SWP and Ashley Cole. Hence the change of the header image. Looks pretty nice and neat . .eh?

They are okay, I kinda liked not having collars though.

Ballack looks slick. So does Cashley (sorry). But SWP? I thought it was Kalou at first, and got excited. Now I’m quite dissapointed. If they’re going to put a younger player up there, why not Kalou or Mikel?

The header looks great, BC. Just change the text on the header to white (otherwise it lacks contrast with respect to the image).

The new kit looks good with the collar, perhaps because there’s matching white stripes on the shoulders.

Now what we want is a Champions League to go with that in Russia

does lampard and drogba not being picture suggest that they might leave next season?

what happened to riccy contract talks… i heard they are on going about 2 months back… real has real interest in riccy..

It looks an awkward fit. Makes the players seem somewhat gawky and small.
The material gives it that polished look, that’s alright. But that big-arse collar is flippin ugly!

Won’t be getting this one. Whobout the away strip - has that one been released yet?

I dont really like it. i saw the away kit about 2 weeks ago. it was horrible! its still yellow but it’s not the bright yellow that we have now.

the away kit you saw is a fake and they even announced that the third kit was also a fake!!!!

Cool with me. I remember how some of us condemned the electric yellow at first but overtime many blue fans have tended to patronize that even more. For some superstitious reason though, I will not like us to wear this one in moscow. my thinking is that it is noty yet fully saturated with the blue spirit. lets wear the tried and tested original one and finish off manure. we have lots of time to try this new one.

the current home kit is brilliant with the other two quite ugly
i could cope with the new kit, if we don’t have some obscene fluorscent and unrelated colours or collars in the away and alternate kits.
We need a dark coloured kit, black and blue? got a ring to it don’t you think

As with all new kits, I will adjust to it. The one we’ve had for the past two years was better than the centenary one. The two things I dislike about it is that:

a. The stripes don’t go all the way down the sleeve like they did on the old ones, which makes the end stick out more.

b. The yellow at the end of the sleeves should be white for balance. The yellow is covered in the collar and the badge.

It will be fine.

Colar is a disaster…. No style and no improvement on recent years.
OK, end of the day its always an excuse for the club to make more dosh but even so it should be a welcome spend… and this is downroight dodgy. Not buying it.
IMO the last 2 kits have been by far the best… even the new keeper kit in orange has more balls about it….

I don’t like collars in football jerseys either, but this one looks spot on. I like it.

Looks suspiciously like the kit we wore when Coors were sponsoring us under Vialli… Think I might dig that one up from the bottom of my Cupboard.

I have this kit and i think its awesome. I really like the look of it. Its like a mix of our Coors 95/97 and our Autoglass 97/99. Its a shame tho that we’re now changing home kit every year which has been announced. The Yellow and the Black away kits are not fake by the way, we shall expect to see them pretty soon. The Black looks excellent. The yellow is ok, but its very Chelsea so i love it. We really wearing this kit in the CL final? Anyway whatever we wear, let’s show the trophy stamford bridge for the first time.

This makes them look like they have boobs and stil the best shirt in the world. I support chelsea but even in this shirt we will still win that cr*p team they call man u. i no this fact because I am “carefree”

but the thing is that they come on the pole position in every cup and league with this kit

hmmmmmm….for now i dont like it..may be as the season commence i may develop interest for it…i see this new jersey as a losing one unlike the previous jersey…oh what winning jersey..its better if we go back to use the old one..nd also replace our old coach(jose mourinho)so we will then go back to our winning ways…yeah i mean it…
