What are GRAVATARS? Globally Recognised Avatars which are used worldwide by millions of internet users in blogs and websites. They are your own thumbnails that shows up as your online identity in blogs and websites that are gravatar enabled. BlueChampions has just become gravatar compliant.

Here is a simple guide to get your own gravatar.

Just visit www.gravatar.com and type in your email address.
After confirmation, just upload any picture to the gravatar site
Adjust to the gravatar size and submit.
Clear the cookies/cache in your browser. That’s it.

After you submit, it should look like below. General mistake is that after uploading the image, people may not click and select it to make it display next to your email address as shown below. For those who are not able to see their gravatar should try this now.

Whenever you post your comment in BlueChampions or in any site that is gravatar-enabled, you’ll see your thumbnail popping up next to your comments. For a demo, see my comment below. Give a face to your nick name. It’s fun to see your thumbnail next to your post right? Just try it out.

The image on the left is my gravatar. You can upload multiple images in your profile in gravatar.com and keep changing your gravatar images as and when you like. It’s worth the try. Check it out!

but it dont work.

Make sure you go to the main Gravatar page and give your icon a click so that there’s a green box around it.

I think it is because of the slow internet i have here, it takes a while before the image shows up. It is really fun.

It works for a lot of us. old timers like you should be having your own gravatar. c’mon don’t give up. Tell me what have you done? i’ll help you and get your gravatar up and running.

Oh wait! Only G rated gravatars are set to display in this blog. So if it’s PG rated or X rated or something, you won’t see that displayed here!

By the way, an Avram Grant picture is G-rated :-) No offence, just a bad joke.

BC for many people i think problem may be old cookies or cache.

just clear your private data of the browser you use and reload the page . it will work.

i use mozilla and it didnt appeared at first for me but after clearing private data it worked

Simply follow the steps as mentioned above. Please remember that the gravatar is linked to your email ID. You must use the same email ID for the gravatar.com site and bluechampions.com
