Fenerbahce 2-1 Chelsea | What The Hell!

There goes the easiest champions league draw. There were no goals from a Chelsea boot but at least there is an away goal that keeps our hopes alive. Fener started poorly but their second half performance justified the final result. Even the colossal Avram Grant luck of an own goal could not prevent a defeat at Turkey.

I’m finding it really difficult to write reviews after such matches. When the champions league draw happened, the best Avram could have expected is Schalke or Fenerbahce. The defeat at Istanbul also conveys that if we had been playing any other team at this stage such as Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barca or even Roma, our campaign might well have been over. If the draw was not kind enough, we got the advantage of playing the second leg at home. If that was not kind enough, Fener were missing key players. If this was not kind enough, we had Fener score an own goal early in the first half. How much more luck would we need?

Of course the first half belonged to us. Of course we outplayed them. Of course we had our chances. If you compare the way Fener played in the first and second half, that shows you what a class manager can do. Fener improved so much in the second half to the extent that I thought we were playing a different team in the second half. On the other hand, Chelsea also changed, for the worse. Once again Avram Grant failed to read the changing game and make changes accordingly. It took just 10 minutes into the second half to realise that Fener were getting stronger and fearless. At the end of first half, I’d have believed that we would end the game with the 2-0 that I predicted. After 70 minutes, looking at Fener’s resolve, I was ready to accept 1-1. Few minutes after they equalised, I knew that Fener would win 2-1. After they went ahead, I just had to hope that the match ends soon. If we had played another 10 or 15 minutes, Fener would have ended the match 3-1. No doubts about that.

Before the match, Zico said that Fener will have to beat Chelsea at Istanbul. He’s just done that. He did the changes at the right point of time, his players looked very motivated and were very confident of coming back and winning against a champions league favourite. In the first half, Chelsea were playing in second gear while Fener were in gear one. In the second half, they moved to gear three and we came down to gear one. I’d like to talk about the key moments/decisions, that made the result:

1. Playing 4-3-3 instead of 4-4-2: With a fit Drogba and Anelka, I don’t see why we are not playing 4-4-2. The Chelsea squad has better midfielders than wingers. With the given set of players’ form and fitness, 4-4-2 should suit us very nicely. Drogba has not been at his best in 4-3-3 and his best periods were when he had a partner. Drogba was poor in this match which must have resulted in either removing him or bringing Anelka to play alongside him but not as the winger.

2. Essien at Right Back: AG started with Essien at right back. Even after we won against Arsenal with Essien at RB, I had mentioned that it was a blunder. AG continued with that and I’m speechless why we have to do this when we have two fit specialist right backs. At least against Arsenal, Belletti came in and Essien moved to the midfield. Fener had quite a few chances from Essien’s side but were they did not score. So I guess AG will continue with Essien at right back especially because he thinks it’s a masterstroke. Our specialist right backs, especially Belletti, must be feeling sick about this and asking questions.

3. Delayed substitutions: This is becoming a signature of Avram Grant. His failure to read the game and make changes has been costing us too much. It was quite clear that Fener were playing better and better in the second half. AG was waiting until it culminated in their goal. How many times we have conceded a lead to end the match in a draw or a defeat this season? This can’t be coincidence. His tactical ineptitude has cost us two trophies already and we’re no longer favourites to progress.

4. The art of holding on to a lead: This is not as difficult as the ‘art of coming back from a goal down’. Can’t we hold on to a lead for one half against Fenerbahce? Okay, having gone 1-1, can’t we hold on to that score, I’m not even asking for a win. Why is that we don’t control the game any longer. Be it any opposition, we are relying on things that are not under our control. We were not able to dectate the game, having gone a goal ahead. It’s only natural to expect Fener to come with all guns blazing in the second half. We should have been prepared for their onslaught. We looked completely not ready for what was coming.

5. Lack of motivation: If possible, I’d like to see the videos of the half time talk given by Zico and Avram Grant. What did Zico say that made Fener playing like a completely different team in the second half. What did AG say which could not help the Chelsea players hold on to a lead and concede two goals in 15 minutes. Our players thought the match could never be lost, otherwise I don’t know how none of our guys closed down Deivid for the second goal. We underestimated. We thought he was not gonna score from there. We thought he did not have the ability to do that. We were complacent.

6. Fantastic home support: That was one of the most noisy home support I’ve ever listened to. It was hell, really. Full credit to their fans. Fener fans have a good team and a great manager. They supported their team all through and very rightly expected their team to come back. If we had Zico and they had AG, I’d have also had that confidence that my team will come back and show what they’re worth. My thoughts are with those away fans who travelled all along to see another match gifted to the opposition.

AG said in the post match interview that ‘this is football’. Easy excuse everytime single time we surrender a lead and draw and lose like mid-tablers.

We played good football, we deserved to win 3 or 4-0, that was I think the normal result but then one minute we were sleeping and let them back into the game. Then Ballack had a good chance to make it 2-1 but they then scored from 25 metres. Normally it is not a bad result when you score away but because of our performance, I am very disappointed. We spoke at half time that we needed to score more goals. We didn’t.

What Avram didn’t say is that Fener also helped him with an own goal. We did not play good football. We created chances but that alone does not mean we played good football. I’m getting sick this false propaganda by AG. Fener also created chances and considering the gulf in the quality of these two teams, they played good football. They scored an own goal, they equalised and then they won.

Zico deserved the credit and respect:

In the first half we gave Chelsea the chance to play with the ball and these types of sides can destroy you when you do that. We needed to fight for the ball and second half we did the right things. People who saw the first half could never believe this would be the result.

That’s exactly I also felt about the game. In the first half Fener were very poor and we did not take full advantage of that. Fener allowed us to play, did not put pressure when we had the ball, and were lacking in self-confidence. When Fener raised their game, we were still playing like we played in the first half and paid the price.

This is hardly the end of the campaign for us. Back at Fortress Stamford Bridge, we can beat any team with any goal difference that we would need. We have the quality and ability to come up with a 2-0 or 3-0 at the Bridge that would erase this defeat. I can be confident but not cocky. I cannot discount Zico and his team. We need to be very aware and careful. I don’t fear Fenerbahce, I fear Avram Grant.

This match made me sick to my stomach….hasn’t the idiotic toad learnt not to play Essien at right back? We’re now in danger of another humiliating defeat to a relatively easy drawn team.

I can coach better than this guy. These are the things i would have done today:
1. Take out Drogba after like 60mins and put Anelka up front.
2. Take out Malouda and replace him with Kalou.

What did you expect? Zico boasted he would win and he did it. Our coach is too short-sighted to chane a ame. I expected Mlouda to have been removed a lon time earlier for anelka. The only contribution he made to the game was the own goal. Manutd would have dispatched this team easily.

Grant must leave with his fellow israelite Ben Haim in July. He has proved over and over again that he is not the right an to make us achieve glory.

again the stupd toad doesnt know what hes doing!!!
he brings on a more defensive player(mikel) for lampard!!!
what…does he want to defend a 1-1 scoreline? is he that scared to try and grab the win?
he is definetly the right man for this job.

Now 2nd issue….Drogba….yes,drogba!!!
he is the most selfish striker i have ever seen…yes he is meant to score but cant he assist aswell?
that is why i envy anelka….he is good at assisting and finishing!!!
Sooooo many chances drogba could of played lampard or ballack through but still he goes for goal on the edge of the box!!!
One chance avram grant went bizerqe when drogba missed a huge chance to play lampard one on one!!!

3rd issue…set pieces…yes,set pieces!!
this was one of chelseas strengths during the mourinho days, we were good at defending set pieces and were also good at scoring them!!!
everytime the opposition…. no matter which team(even sunderland) get a set piece i am on the edge of my seat hoping chelsea can clear the danger!!!

So things to improve on!:
Get a world class manager
Get a striker who can score and assist or teach drogba how not to be selfish
and finally get better at setpieces especially defending them!

I watched all the action on TV here in Istanbul.

We are beaten by Fener but still are in a driving seat.

Where are those fools of this blog (AGfriend, Wayne79, Arthur) who were underestimating Fenerbahce saying that they are teh weakest team left in the competition? I watche Shalke-Barca game yesterday and can tell you that this Fener is much stronger than Schalke and even current Barca without Messi, Ronny and Deco. I say to those fools “Before writing something in this blog use your inexistent brain”.

If Fenerbahce hadn’t had a habit to score an own goal Chelsea today would have been knocked out. Today’s own goal is the 3rd own goal of Fener in this competition.

Still there’s nothing to be afraid of because we can beat them at Stamford Bridge. 1-0 will do.

Why did he subbed Anelka in at 86, with only 10 mins remaining ??!
Well never underestimate your opponents. Well earned victory for Fenerbahce. Though if Cech could play, it would be entirely different. Fenerbahce has a good lead but the own-goal was reaaly bad for their chances. In London Chelsea would be the team to qualify.

Or maybe not with this manager.

how can one characterise AG? tactically deficient, inability to motivate a big team maybe too light words to use. although had it not been for the selfishness of the shyte drogba, we probably could have wone with a big lead.

however it is not over yet but i guess its quiet pathetic to lose in such a tactical manner. good enough AG did not bring in alex for joe cole or lampard. next stop at the city……….

Hopeless Team Selection .
a) Why would you drop Kalou for Malouda .
b) Again picking up Lampard for this crucial game without any match practice recently from injury ? Should have gone for 4-4-2.
c) Should have started with both anelka and Drogba in front. With the gaps available in the first half , could have easily scored another one.

Looks like it is packing time and after after 8th, we would be just in the premier league and with our fixture list - Man City (a), Everton (a), New castle (a) and Man U . Getting the second place is also good .

Frustrating !!!!!!!!!!!

He waits for a move to be made before even deciding the next one.

My mind goes back to the Gooner match when Grant sent in Anelka to play up with Drogs and how silly it was for him to play Essien at back and then put in Belletti for Ballack who did have some good shots. I kept thinking, ’surely Grant will play Drogba and Anelka up front from now on with Ballack somewhere in midfield. Surely, he must see these three players can put up the offensive muscle to put balls in nets.’ I guess I gave Grant too much credit.
Thanks to Fener’s generosity, Chelsea still has a chance to advance in the CL. But, with Grant’s decision making, please forgive my lack of optimism.

Hey guys dont jump on the manager straight away. Of course he had a part to play in the defeat but the defeat is actually because of our poor finishing and good goalkeeping by fener goalie. Grant couldnt have done much apart from anelka for drogba as we were creating hell lot of chances. Our finishing was piss poor. Ballack could have easily scored 2 and assisted 2.

reminds of the roosenberg game where we had lot of chances but no finishing and bad luck. Here it was an astonishing goalie.

Zico was tactically brilliant with moving the players around the pitch and changing formation to almost 4-2-4 at one time. We were winning everyrhing in the midfield, always had acres of space still only ballack was able to produce some good plays.

The second goal of fener was just some magical piece and happens rarely. The own goal scorer nullifying the own goal with shear fortune. Again our defence didnt close him down. The realistic scoreline was 1-0 to fener.

The return leg is in stanford bridge and i have no doubts we will kill the tie in first half itself at SB scoring 2 past them. Essien is suspended for the return leg may be a blessing in disguise that wll play a specialist RB. Makalele took good care of alex so he willl do in the return leg. No problems what so ever to proceed in the semi finals. we have the luck and wll make it count ;)

cheers

Our biggest luck today was the absence of Fener’s right-back Gokhan Gonul due to suspension. The own goal came from his side. If he had been there it wouldn’t have happened. But next game he will play.
Besides, Fener’s left-back also was absent due to injury. You know him - Roberto Carlos. He too can be available for the next game.

With this stupid toad, we ain’t going nowhere. I don’t see Abramovich sacking him either. Abramovich was talking on fox soccer channel that Grant is “the best man for the job.” I guess the fans should help by shooting him to death at the bridge.

All I’m saying is that Fener is much stronger than Schalke and may not be weaker than Roma.

We screwed it up??? Don’t make me laugh. Fener was playing without their two backs, Gokhan Gonul and Roberto Carlos. Do you realize that if they hadn’t scored the own goal and the game ended 2-0 then Chelsea would have been knocked out???

Isn’t it enough for you guys to realize that Fener is a strong team just by looking at the opponents they played and beat? Andelecht, Inter, PSV, CSKA Moscow, Sevilla. They played stronger teams than Chelsea did. Chelsea conceded only 2 goals until this game and tonight they conceded 2. That says a lot about the teams Chelsea played.

Hi Avram.( U do not Know What U r Doing…………….)

Look at Avram tactics and Substitution

1) 4-3-3 and Essien in Right Back haaa…..

2) Substituting Lampard out and bring Mikel when score was 1-1, Fenerbache was puting chelsea under preasure. He should have brought lampard for a Ferreira and essien back to Midfield.

3)Substituting Joe cole out with ANELKA at 86 minutes, when chelsea was 2-1 down, anelka was playing as a winger…LOL LOL,

Drogba is a selfish player,He want to take all freekick’s and missed lot of chance’s.Anelka was better a quality player than drogba, even if he not scored he will pass the ball, Here After Drogba should be dropped, Sheva should be back to team.

Ballack had few chance’s but he had a good game ystrday, lampard was not fit for this game,Till 70min chelsea was controlling the game, Then Zico used his brain to defeat brainless Avram Chelsea.

Ruturn match at SB, we will kill Fenerbache no doubt in that,Even if we win EPL or Champion’s League this season (Only 0.001% chance because Avram is our manager), Chelsea should sack Avram, because he do not have the caliber, character, decision making and knowledge to defeat a stronger team managed by a tactically good manager, even our Indian Football team can defeat avram’s chelsea, because under pressure Avram donot know what to do.

If Avram is not sacked this season ,then when chelsea come’s to tour Asia, please visit India, because we want to develop football in INDIA,if avram is manager any one can defeat chelsea.LOL LOL..LOL….

Sorry Avram … Belated Happy Birthday to U (April Fool) ,avram grant did not celebrated his birthday on April 1 because he was preparing for fenerbeche game, Avram go and enjoy ur birthday .

@mike ayad

agree with your drogba post…….first thing a person should reliaze this strength and weakness………..when you are not a dribbler like henry it’s better you don’t try to emulate him……..similarly it will be foolish if henry starts playing with his back to the goal and start chesting the balls………..

@BC
The truth is i was unable to find fault with our football,PLAYERS PERFORMANCE……..we were pathetic against boro and i admitted it…………….PEOPLE WILL CRY ABOUT ESSIEN AT RB AND SUBSTITUTIONS BUT DID WE CONCEDE EITHER OF THE GOALS CAUS OF IT………..fenerbahce barely got a sniff of goal………….if drogba wasn’t as greedy we would have probably won by 4-2 or something………actually even drogba was good except he was too greedy………….if we can carry on this performance at SB fenerbahce can’t stop us from entering semis

@Everyone

Brilliant review on the times

Roman Abramovich will live in hope that Avram Grant’s turbulent reign at Stamford Bridge has not found permanent expression in this second-half car crash. At the moment, it appears as though it is a fitting summary.

Cruising to victory while playing some of their best football of the season, Chelsea suddenly were on the end of a shock defeat after conceding two goals in the space of 16 minutes, the first from Colin Kazim-Richards, a former Football League striker whose lack of European pedigree is shown by the fact that his first transfer was the result of a competition sponsored by Coca-Cola.

The Chelsea first-team coach cut a sorrowful figure while failing to provide a reason for the defeat, although few others present could offer a plausible explanation, other than the blindingly obvious — Fenerbahçe took their chances.

It is Grant’s fate that he is blamed for all that goes wrong regardless of whether it is his fault or not. Good managers find a way to win matches they should have lost, while poor ones lose games that were there to win. On this occasion, however, such analysis does him a disservice.

Grant is in the invidious position where credit for success will be given to his players, whereas blame for any failure is thrust firmly at his door, but the men on the pitch should take responsibility on this occasion. Chelsea created enough chances to win several matches but failed to take advantage, thwarted by casual finishing and several outstanding saves from Volkan Demirel.

Didier Drogba was particularly culpable, although Grant could be criticised, too, for failing to make a change after Fenerbahçe came back into it in the second half. The introduction of John Obi Mikel for a tiring Frank Lampard was a case of too little, too late.

The ultimate irony is that, for much of the night, Grant appeared to have got all the big decisions right, with Michael Ballack outstanding on his return to the side and Michael Essien getting through the work of two men at right back as he frequently stepped into midfield to drive his team-mates forward. Even Florent Malouda contributed on his first appearance for the club since the FA Cup defeat away to Barnsley four weeks ago, with his cross from the left silencing the crowd as Deivid put through his own net in the thirteenth minute.

Chelsea had started confidently enough, with Claude Makelele dictating the pace in midfield and Joe Cole providing a good outlet down the right and, after taking the lead, they dominated. Essien hit the crossbar with a powerful drive from 30 yards, Drogba headed across goal from the Ghanaian’s hopeful cross and then brought a smart save from Volkan after a clever ball from Ballack.

Chelsea’s biggest problem at that time appeared to be overconfidence, the only possible explanation for Drogba’s poor decision to shoot from the edge of the penalty area when Essien was unmarked in space to his right. Other than their own profligacy, Chelsea’s only moment of concern in the first half came when Mehmet Aurélio burst down the right and Ricardo Carvalho failed to reach his cross. Fortunately for them, so did Mateja Kezman.

Drogba spurned a great chance to kill the game just before half-time, shooting straight at Volkan after another magnificent through-ball from Ballack, a miss that proved costly when Fenerbahçe improved. Alex headed wide and Kezman aimed an overhead kick straight at Carlo Cudicini before Kazim-Richards grabbed the equaliser with a goal that could have been inspired by Neil Warnock, who signed him for Sheffield United.

Aurélio’s long ball caught Chelsea by surprise, no wonder given they had not conceded in this competition for more 11 hours, with Kazim-Richards outpacing Carvalho to shoot past Cudicini. If Grant’s sudden elevation to this level was a surprise, then that of Kazim-Richards has been even more astounding — the 21-year-old scored only nine goals in three seasons with Bury, Brighton & Hove Albion and Sheffield United before moving last summer to the country of his mother’s birth.

Spurred on by their fans, Fenerbahçe pushed for a second and were rewarded in the 81st minute when Deivid atoned for his own goal by beating Cudicini with a swerving shot from 30 yards. Chelsea still have it in them to progress, but if they fail to do so, the Champions League could claim the scalp of the club’s second manager this season.

Three questions answer them

1.did you find fault with essien at RB……….Didn’t essien played at RB many times in mourinho era?

2.why you find 4-3-3 such a bad formation and wasn’t it used during mourinho’s era?

@Arun

Chelsea should sack Avram, because he do not have the caliber, character, decision making and knowledge to defeat a stronger team managed by a tactically good manager, even our Indian Football team can defeat avram’s chelsea, because under pressure Avram donot know what to do

just give some logic, explanation for your comment[above] insted of “i-m-saying-so so believe it”

@TBF

U r correct essien was good in Right back ysterday , even beter than our normal right fullback but we need essien in midfield .

In game against arsenal avram used essien in rightback position to mark both vanparsie and Helb, because essien had the physical strength to fight both these player , also Avram was confident with our other three defender’s . But in ysterdy’s game Ferria or belletti was enough to deal fenerbahce winger’s,We needed essien in MIDFIELD.

I am not a jose fan , but i like jose’s because, even with 1-0 lead we had feeling we will win the game, how many time jose’s substitution changed the game, even under pressure from opponent howmany time we won game at injury time.JOSE had all that quality that a manager managing top club should have.Even Derby county is having good
manager than chelsea.Football is a tactical game, when player’s are not playing manager should use his footballing brain to change game, SAME(footballing brain) AVRAM DID AGAINST ARSENAL.

What Avram doing till 75 minute for making Substitution, that too mikel for lampard , then joe cole for anelka at 86 minute.Zico’s substitution gave fenerbahce the win

Chelsea is big club,we have to win big game’s , jose was master in defeating strong opponent’s, Even though his football style was not attractive,we won important game’s.

TBF all that you do is copy and paste comments and articles from everywhere. tell about your opinions. don’t always borrow opinions or have others think for you.

what’s your stance for today? are you still an AG stooge or you want him out like few weeks back? any knee jerk reactions or you’ll get one once we are knocked out in front of our home fans?

Ladies and gentlemen; I support FENERBAHCE and next game you will feel a new surprise because it is impossible for Chelsea to win agains Fenerbahce with the players Roberto Carlos and left-back Gokhan Gonul. And also it is bad for Chelsea to feel Fenerbahce as an easy team.
GOD HELPS YOU CHEALSEA!!!! Because you need real help:)))))))))))

Excellent comment from Habs at chelseablog:

Wow you certainly know what you’re talking about as i was referring to Avram’s total failures not just his latest disaster against Fenerbahce.

1. If you don’t think he is tactically inept then you are either blind, stupid or both. Just to repeat for you and Avram, ANELKA IS NOT A WINGER and yet another example: bringing alex on against spurs and playing 5 at the back for the first time - tactical masterstroke from your hero Avram as it got the desired effect a 4-4.
2. Being devoid of passion affects the team as none of the players are willing to play for him anymore and no-one even listens to him. Picture extra time in the cup final with Avram scratching his head (a weird obsession of his) whilst JT performs a teamtalk. Anyone compared to Avram is a riot and calling Jose boring!!! When were we ever off the backpages? Any news is good news and his controversy created a siege mentality which brought 6 trophies to Avram’s how many? I’l let you remind me. I’ll even let you count the great haul he had in the footballing hotbed that is Israel.
3. Frank was ill and drained. well fit enough to start and having watched Chelsea TV he played the FA Cup Final when ill for 1 week (watch the re-run) and how long did he last? Oh yes it was 120 mins. More evidence that no-one gives a shit about busting a gut for Avram.
4. In your words team talks have nothing to do with anything. OK then so why is it that Jose was able to change games with a TEAM TALK. Also interviews are important. Jose’s were hilarious and influential by putting pressure on referees or just adding to the siege mentality with controversy or taking pressure off the players. His headlines allowed the players to concentrate e.g. i’m more scaed of bird flu, or him naming the whole barca team before the match… the list goes on. The only headline of Avrams i can remeber is: ‘I am the Normal one.’ Wow! That didn;t even make the back page.
5. His appearance. well lets just say he has as much style as Jeremy clarkson. Jose brought style and class and his actions on the touchline were passionate and he helped bond the team. Who would see Avram sliding down the nou camp to celebrate or running on to join the team after beating barca 4-2 or spurs in the last minute thanks to gallas? His appearance and passion was typical of the old Chelsea in the 60s and 70s and created jealousy and hatred from other fans which the team played upon.
6. OK then i know that Clarkey is qualified but AG isn’t. Just think how embarrassing it is that we have hired an old man who has to jet off to Israel every Monday because he hasn’t taken the right exam yet. It is a joke. I know hundreds of people who go on trips abroad why not hire them? No matter what you say he hasn’t got the required qualifications otherwise why leave? Is he just bored of fucking up our season?
7. Cech’s form has dipped. Why? Well the loss of Silvino must be looked at. He doesn’t have enough staff otherwise why is a gk coach helping with tactics? Why has he only got 1 scout?
8. No denying he is an idiot - this is the man who thinks anelka is a winger and that we have improved since his arrival. Remind me Sid if losing the Carling Cup, being knocked out by lower league opposition (never under Jose), having fewer wins, scoring fewer goals, fewer clean sheets and fewer premeiership points is an improvement?
9. Another point - camaraderie. I’ve seen how fun Jose’s pre season tours to LA were. The team bonding, the events such as film premieres with Snoop and playing an 11 vs 11 against the press when Jose went in goal. The team and the press loved it and him. All the fun has gone out of Chelsea and will only return once this toad is gone.

Another excellent comment by Habs:

Last week i wrote how Avram compared himself to Vicente Del Bosque. In many ways he is right… both are Gordon Brown lookalikes who are duller than watching the preverbial streams of paint dry. Both failed to motivate their sides who rely on a team full of World Class players to get them out of jail. Both failed to communicate passionately or clearly to their teams and both will ultimately meet in the unemployed managers scrap yard alongside steve mcclaren. However there are some key differences… del bosque won 2 EU Cup finals whereas Avram has won 0. Del Bosque won a league title as well whereas AG has won nothing and Del Bosque had some qualifications to thrown in as well.

I know many of you are too tired to rant but we mustn’t stop in our ultimate goal… to drive this inept, boring, passionless, fat and ugly man out of our club. He complains that he came in to a difficult situation in succeeding Jose and that he has made the team progress. F**K THAT and F**K HIM. He deserves to be booed and ridiculed for even comparing himself to Jose. I would be upset if he compared himself to me let alone the greatest manager in EU at the moment. Here are a few problems with the self proclaimed NORMAL ONE:
1. Tactically inept - too many examples to fit in tonight but Anelka on the fucking wing!!! How big a sign or loud a chant can we sing at Man City to tell him that the only idiot in the world who thinks Anelka is a winger is him. 3 games as anelka as a winger (Spurs cup final, Boro, Fenerbahce). Please remind me in how many of those we played well in?
2. Boring - No passion, no leadership and no ideas. No-one gives a shit about playing for him (picture DD running and shooting wide when we had 3 men free). JT, Lamps and DD would run through fires for Jose whereas this team are playing like individuals. I don’t blame the players (apart from Belletti and Malouda who are a waste of space) because they are running on cruise control or auto pilot and are rapidly running out of fuel. How i long for a return to the headlines of Jose. Press conferences are so boring i wonder whether the press need to turn up.
3. Subs - He has no fucking idea. NUFF SAID! I think he wants to ruin our club as quickly as possible. He hasn’t lost the home record yet but Ronaldo is awaiting and subbing Lamps and his reaction is only driving our best players out faster. If Lamps was ill then don’t start him, move Essien to midfield (he is a midfielder) and play Paulo (we did give him a new 5 yr contract).
4. Team talks and interviews - As he speaks worse English than the Tinkerman he can’t motivate or even talk to his players who show an amazing lack of respect towards him (Cup final Extra time)and he doesn’t deserve any. And have you seen his interviews. He called this defeat a GOOD RESULT and his answer to any criticism is that ”this is football.” Fucking idiot.
5. His appearance - Don’t judge a book by its cover was Chelsea TVs defence of Avram because even they accept he has the tactical nous of a monkey and a dumb one at that. But we should. Jose brough theatre (sliding on the Nou Camp Pitch, running down Old Trafford with Porto) and style (his coats which raised money for Chelsea’s charity and then his scarves) whereas Avram brings an ill fitting black outfit or tracksuit and why does he keep SCRATCHING HIS F***ING HEAD after every goal we concede and then turning round and sitting down.
6. No qualifications.
7. No staff - Christophe Lollichon has fucked up Petr Cech and as a GK coach he should have no input over tactics yet he does. We don’t have enough scouts and are using the youth teams fitness coaches because AG doesn’t have enough contacts. Where is Brendan Rodgers? He deserves a promotion. Remeber Jose’s crew e.g. Rui Faria who led the team to victory against Bayern with that famous wooly hat?
8. The fact he is a f***ing idiot.

Keep up the boooing. I’m proud of you my fellow believers that the only way is up…that is when Avram finally f**ks off.
