It took just one press conference for JM to hit the headlines and ruffle up weathers again. Here he talks about his love for Chelsea, his desire to come back, the pressure-free manager and something else too. There was a tongue-in-cheek slant in the whole interview which if you miss, you won’t get the whole point!

JM insisted that he still loves Chelsea which is nice to hear. I’m sure he cannot hate Chelsea for all that he had done for Chelsea and for the support he received from his players.

I still feel that the club is part of me and I want it to succeed. But I hope to play them next season in the Champions League and I want to go there and kill them.

That is JM in a couple of lines. Sentimental but aggressive like crazy. He did not ‘vow to kill Chelsea’ like many papers claimed. He certainly wants to kill any team, not just Chelsea but given a choice I would not prefer playing his team. The chances are he would end up with mostly Milan, Real Madrid or Barcelona, in that order. Of course JM will have an upper hand as he would know the strengths and weaknesses of each of our players unless Grant does a complete overhaul by summer, that is, if he is to stay beyond summer.

He also made a jibe against Arsene Whinger.

A unique team – their coach hasn’t won for years, but he’s an idol. There are no pressures at Arsenal. But do not say he’s growing young players into talents, because he takes jewels and polishes them.

If you’re a good enough manager and you’re given loads and loads of time to do your stuff, odds are you’d come out good. I can understand this as JM was sacked for getting just two domestic trophies. Also he is only one who boldly makes this statement about ‘Arsene taking jewels and polishing them’. In common press, it is like blasphemy. No one would like to question the so-called ‘professor’. I’m in complete agreement with his statement about Whinger.

Arsene’s response to this statement was very very cheap. He talks about people winning 100 metre sprints by cheating etc. Arsene generally thinks that the only way his Arsenal team can lose is when the opponent team cheats. Such a bloody joke. Whinger’s teams have a history of being a bad losers (remember the pizzas and crying), his teams being the most dirty playing teams, the worst horrible tacklers and an arrogant bunch. And suddenly now he is talking about sportsmanship! Arsene can’t get over the fact he could not beat JM with any of his teams and in fact lost to him a few times. We’ve heard it many times before! You win and it’s beautiful football and you lose, the world is against you and are teams are playing ugly, dirty football to beat you. Nonsense and typical Arsene.

After Arsene, JM goes on to dismiss our dear old Avram Grant like he doesn’t even exist.

I feel nothing for him and everything for the club. I was in the club for 3½ years and we shared the same club for a couple of months, no more.

How can the journos not ask him about the 39th game.

I’m so much in love with the English game and so much in love with Premiership that, if I was in position to say yes or no, then we play every Premiership game in England. If they want to do something abroad, why not a Charity Shield in New York, maximum, or a Carling Cup final in Tokyo or Seoul?

Surprisingly, this was my exact feeling which I wrote in Premier League: Going Global or Going Insane.

He thinks he would end up coaching in Spain or Italy next season but certainly would work with only those who really wants him and believe in his project:

I don’t want to return now. At the moment I am studying, but next year – yes. Either in Italy or Spain, and afterwards I want to go back to England, and then finish my career as coach to the Portuguese national team. At the moment I love the pitch, playing two or three high-level matches per week. As a national coach too much depends on the the work of others. As for Italy or Spain? Whoever really wants me. Whoever fully believes in my project. Whoever thinks I am the ideal person. I am free, I have neither a pre-contract nor a gentleman’s agreement.

Something tells me that he would coach Milan next season.

Now comes the most surprising part. He says he’s in touch with Kenyon and Abramovich and you know what, doesn’t rule out a return to Chelsea!! When he was asked about a possible to return to Chelsea:

Yes, why not. I would love to do that, of course, of course. I was speaking to Mr Roman Abramovich and Peter Kenyon on the phone last week as we keep in touch. I was telling them I wished them always good things, that I wished them always to succeed and I wished them always to win. But we talked mostly about family and friends and our lives. We have friendly relations – It always was. The reality is my leaving was a mutual agreement. We are happy to talk to each other. One day back to Chelsea, why not? I still feel Chelsea is part of me. I have Chelsea in my heart forever and I wish them only good things. I have been gone for five months and you wouldn’t get a bad word from me.

Didn’t we think that Roman and Jose had a bloody fight over something and broke up? I simply cannot wait for the next edition of his autobiography. There is some untold secret. And yes, he has not said one bad thing about Chelsea even after he left. Even when he was managing Chelsea he was talking about lack of support from top management but after he left, he has been very quiet while the Press were longing for an interview with him about what transpired or conspired in the Chelsea board room.

Would I prefer to see Jose back in Chelsea. Yes, but not now, not this season or next season, but surely after that. What do you feel?

Gary Cahill to Chelsea?

Knowing Jose, all this could be his games to get himself the best offer at the right club.
