Again, people are doing everything to take the credit away from Grant. You are obviously not true supporters, because you are not supporting the MANAGER OF THE CLUB! In essance, you are not truly supporting the club. Shame on you. If you were true supporters, you would give support for the person that is responsible for taking control of the team. And that person is Avram Grant. Not ten Cate or Clarke for all you ignorant people who refuse to mention Grant. Although I’m sure they do a lot of work and I’m truly glad they are on the team, you must understand the person that controls the first team is none other than Avram Grant. And before people start bombarding me with pointless comments on how I must be only here to follow Avram Grant and (no racism intended here) that I must be from Israel, I am only saying this because I support Chelsea and by doing this I support the manager. It is simple guys, it is a lesson that most of you need to learn. So stop being pompous and start accepting that Grant is the MANAGER and that he controls the team and support him in this task. It is all that Chelsea wants from its’ supporters.

Grant was hardly a managerial genius here. The late equaliser more a product of Ballack’s hard work than anything else. Quite simply, Grant played for a draw and get very, very lucky.

i really appreciate grant’s tactics in getting ‘own goals’. he must be a master at it.

grant says ‘the team showed spirit and character and i’m proud of them’. thing is grant, only the team spirit and character is winning us matches, of course with the help of clarke and ten cate. the only favour that grant can do is by not doing anything at all!!!

@ isareli swp playing well last night was again another slice of luck for grant. this old man is simply riding his luck. i dont know when it will desert him. he is well supported by the owner who wants to give him more than 50 million in january itself.

with all this comfort, grant has to bring us trophies otherwise he can take a walk. it hurts to have a manager with no tactical understanding of football but it’s ok as long as he is our lucky charm and we win becuase of the luck he has brought,.

good win for chelsea despite poor substitutions and tactics by grant. will this guy ever learn football? he is just going thanks to a great team that we have, which has this winning mentality and just simply hate to lose! grant will be severely exposed when he plays with 4 or 5 of the players that he bought.

so who gave the half time team talk today? ten cate or roman himself?!

the performance was really cool and we created chances after chances until mikel made that cruel challenge to get a red card and put and end to a wonderful match he was having….

We should have killed the game off in the first half but Pizzaro just couldn’t score which is a bad news to me…he doesn’t have that finishing power which made me wish sheva was playing…

the Yakubu goal was fantastic and i am glad lescott put us ahead because he was killing off all our attacks so much i wished we had 11 men back..

Malouda was cool and joe cole was great until he made that challenge that got him injured,got a card and caused the goal..SWP was really okay today but i am still in doubt..not consistent enough for me…Sidwell was just there..had his chance to shine but was just there..

arsenal Vs To would be a great match today and i hope they take the lead over arsenal..

Great display from Chelsea, the scoreline doesn’t really reflect the game in my opinion. We dominated the first half proceedings with Everton barely launching any attack. Superb goal from SWP as he ghosted into the gap in the defense and curled his shot around both defender and ‘keeper. Joe Cole should have scored 3 minutes later, I feel he would have if he wasn’t fouled by Jagielka before his shot. Second half started really brightly, even though some would have expected Chels to sit back a little we were right up there attacking again. Mikel’s challenge was definitely not red card worthy. I’d say yellow at most, because he was going for the ball and it wasn’t a two footed lunge. He would have a four match ban due to this being his second red of the season but luckily for him he has the ACN. We conceeded from the aftermath of a set piece which is a little worrying, I feel we should have closed down on the ball. However, we fought hard and got the goal we deserved. Believe it or not Grant made good substitutions. We needed to bring on Sidwell as we only had Ballack in the centre, and I feel Joe was the right man to be replaced. And then Ferreira for Pizarro allowed Belletti (one of our best attacking players surprisingly or not on the night) to move forward and also for SWP to disturb the defence, which worked like a charm.

So overall, great display from Chelsea. Even Ben Haim performed well when he came on, a great clearing header and good contribution in clearing the ball in the goalmouth scramble at the end! Pizarro, however, wasn’t great again. I mean, he tried really hard and he linked up well but I think he tried to hard to impress which his touches and forgot about scoring.

malouda played very well, he should be an automatic selection for the left winger posion. He is out only natural left winger and needs to be played, he was absolutly terrific considering it was his first game in 2 months and got 90 minutes under his belt which is great.

whatever it may be it is good for chelsea. frankly i was not expecting us in the title chase till now after all the drama and grants appointment. we are going quite good but still cant quite find a reason why jose had to be replaced in middle of the season as the football we play hasnt changed much. Its still about the winning spirit and lever loose attitude with quality players. i would have loved to see sheva play the way he suddenly started to find his touch…
