Buena Shevchenko es un maestro. Yo vi un partido de Milan vs Fene rbache (en al uefa CL 2005/2006) que Shevchenko hiso 4 goles y pudo hacer 5 pero lo erro. Lampard tambien es muy muy muy bueno. Tiene la mejor patada de Inglaterra junto con Gerrad. Espero un ida ir a Inglaterra y si voy obio que voy a ver Chelsea al Stambor Bridge.

Sheva does seem to get overlooked by some of the other Chelsea players sometimes. But as his form returns they’ll gain trust in him and look to feed him the ball more often. Obviously it wasn’t just the majority of fans that had lost faith in him, it was his own teammates listening to the media also.

Also Essien looked incredible. I believe the only weakness in his game, perhaps the only thing keeping him from being an absolutely perfect midfielder, is his long passes. If you watch, he always leaves those to Lamps and prefers playing short passes. Which is fine because Lampard is great at those. However, I question his playmaking ability and his effectiveness without a real play-maker beside him. VDV anyone?

King Blues, I’m sure there’ll be one or two upsets. I’d prefer Fenerbahce to go through and us getting them!! But out of the team you mentioned? Porto for sure.

M_D, now to say that there’ll be no upsets in the Champions League is certainly foolish. On any given day, at least 8 teams can win against any other team. But all I’m saying is that Olympiacos and Fenerbahce are the smallest (and I say that relatively) teams left. But I’m sure that Inter would rather play Fenerbahce rather than Liverpool (even though I think they’re better than either of them.)
Joeblue, we never hated Roman Abramovich. You’re right, Chelsea owns too much to him for any Blue fan to complain. Last year many people felt (and I still feel) he cost us a lot by not signing a center-back, even though for about two months we had Essien as a right back or center back. That damaged our midfield as much as our lack of center backs damaged our defense. I’m positive we dropped about ten points because of this issue. And remember, we only lost by six points. It’s all a bunch of if’s and but’s, but had Roman bought a player or two, we wouldn’t have had such grievances against him. Anyways, what’s done is done, it’s in the past and behind us. All we’re thinking of now is 2007(2008 soon!!). And in 2007, it seems that Roman is yet to make a mistake.
Let’s hope this trend continues in the soon-coming year!

footballer @ 55. brilliant comment. i have been a chelsea fan even before walked in. roman is good. he is still superman. chelsea is still a business (’toy’ if he interferes with football, like he did with jm). chelsea is a hated club because of roman and whatever respect we have is because of JM. it was roman who chose to splash millions instead of building a team he assembled a team. he was impatient, for him it is just business. i won’t be too worried even if he leaves.

Well TBF, good work at least some one pulled out some stats about the financial side of the club, Man utd are in heavy debt, liverpool not in a good state owned by guys who r in football just for money, and arsenal, well in heavy debt as well, anyone with common sense can see Roman is not interested in chelsea just becos of the money factor, he has enough for another few geenrations. i think he truly belive chelsea can be a great club under his leadership. and i admire his commitment. how many of the topclub chairman or owner you see watching every match on a saturday afternoon ?
