After the success (if I may say so) of the BlueChampions blog, here I introduce the BlueChampions Chatroom! Simply put, this is a forum version of BlueChampions. Most of you know a lot about forums already. For those who don’t, a forum is just an online chatroom where you’d be able to discuss on more than one topic, created by yourselves or anyone, at a time.
You already know what a pain I am when it comes to moderation. Bad news is, I haven’t changed. The chatroom will also have moderations governed by some rules and regulations. But I hope I can appoint some of you as moderators of the forum. Interesting but unfortunate thing is, unlike the blog, you have to be registered to create a new topic or reply to any topic. And you need to register afresh, may be with your same bluechampions login and password!
For those who are new to forums, you need to understand these terms – categories, boards, topics and posts. See the below image. There are some categories such as ‘Chelsea Topics’ as shown below, which holds the boards. In the below image, ‘Chelsea Transfers’ is a board that contains topics. Topics can be created by anyone except in certain boards where only the admin can create. If you find an interesting thing to discuss, you can create a topic yourself. Every reply to a topic is a post.
After you login, look at the icon I’ve shown above as C. If that icon is dark, that means you have some new topics/posts that are unread.
Some people had difficulty in knowing how to create a topic themselves. Once you click and enter into a ‘board’, you see the list of topics there. Above the topics, you should find an icon ‘New topic’ which does the obvious. Next to that, there is also a ‘New poll’ icon, which also creates a topic but with an opinion poll.
So, what happens to this blog? Will this be shut down? Answer is a big NO. Thanks to your support, I’m so big-headed now that I will not stop writing. The blog and the chatroom will co-exist. Here is the chatroom. Or you can click the above images or JM chin up image on the first block of the sidebar or click FORUM in the menu bar on top or temporarily the header image itself.
Good going so far. 22 members, 22 topics and 80 posts. Get in!

good addition mate! make this place complete i guess!
Err.. Why can’t i login to the forums with my blog login and password?
Cool! But why are there so many topics? Would it be possible to trim them down and maybe broaden things up a bit? I find it slightly confusing that there are so many specific topics!
i have not tried yet ,but it would be great.
@ Zola
Very valid point. I’m doing the changes right now!
I’m done! It should be neater now. I forgot to add this. You do need to register and get a separate login for the forum.
Suggestions welcome.

A Little Optimistic Article I Found on footy247.co.uk
—————————————————–
Chelsea Football Club was shocked by the departure of Jose Mourinho on 20th September, and after their 2-0 loss to Manchester United in Avram Grant’s first game fans would have hoped that it could only improve.
Now, however, with the news that Ten Cate has confirmed that he will become Chelsea’s assistant coach, it looks like Roman Abramovich will finally get some semblance of the attacking football he so desires. Henk Ten Cate signed a three year deal worth around £1.8 million a year, and will co-operate with Steve Clarke under Grant to try and make Chelsea fight their way back into the title race.
Henk Ten Cate has already been involved in managing football clubs for around seventeen years, although his first ‘big name’ club was Barcelona which he joined in 2003. Ten Cate stayed with Barcelona for three years and his spell there coincided with their return to the very top of Europe as they did the league and European Cup double.
I’ve said it before; I’ll say it again; Barcelona is a much lesser team without him, and you can see this in their team very well if you look at the decline of Ronaldinho. Ronaldinho blossomed under Ten Cate; why? Ten Cate’s tactics meant that both the Brazilian and Eto’o featured in the positions they played best; in Rijkaard’s new system, they just get in each other’s ways. Ten Cate was one of the main reasons for Barcelona’s fluidity and cohesiveness on the pitch; it is no coincidence that they have not looked as good since he left.
After leaving Barcelona, Ten Cate went on to become the first choice manager at Ajax, where he did reasonably well. Ajax under Ten Cate reached second place in the league, unbeaten and just a point behind Feyenoord. What you’ve got to look at is the amount of goals Ajax have scored this year- 26 goals in their seven games, six more than Heerenveen (who are in 11th place). Those achievements show that Ten Cate is capable of getting his teams to play attacking football; as an assistant coach at Barcelona and the main coach of Ajax, two of the most attacking teams in the world. This is why I feel Ten Cate will give Abramovich the football he so craves- Ashley Cole the defender will turn into the fearsome winger he was at Arsenal; Shevchenko the hold up man will turn into the goalscorer he was at AC Milan and this Chelsea team in six months will be unrecognizable compared to some of the dour stuff under Mourinho.
Mourinho could create winning teams; that is not to be argued. However, when you spend £500 million on a team, you do not just want to see them win; you want to see them win in style, outplaying every team they face. This is the reason why Abramovich got rid of Mourinho -despite what they claim was departure by ‘mutual consent’- Mourinho had been saved in the past by his good results with the team, and the poor start to the season was the last straw.
Will Ten Cate give Chelsea fans attacking football to watch? I don’t see why not, as they certainly have the players to do so. Drogba, Malouda, Lampard, Shevchenko and Ballack on their day are amongst the hardest to play against on the planet, and fans will be hoping that Ten Cate will give Chelsea’s season the kick-start they need so that they can start challenging for honours
@ 7 it all sounds very good, we have to wait and see in six months time wat will happen . has anyone else heard of this “ballack back in training”

Dear Ray Wilkins,
as a former Manchester United and Chelsea player I have never really liked you. It’s nothing personal, it’s just that you are tainted by association. I have to admit I took umbrage at your remarks yesterday in which you claimed that playing young players in the Carling Cup devalued the competition.
To my mind this was an obvious dig at Arsenal. In a way I can understand it. You say your focus is on winning the Carling Cup so you’ll play your first team players. It’s a decent bluff, in fairness. Chelsea have a good record in the competition as Arsenal fans know only too well. Your lot did us in the final a couple of years back.
But let’s be honest. The real reason you play your first team players in this competition is because you don’t have any kind of youth system to speak of. As your team has been assembled by the chequebook there’s no need to waste any time on anything as paltry as young players. If a star leaves you can simply buy another star.
While Arsenal see the Carling Cup as a way of blooding fresh talent and giving them the chance of first team football, Chelsea see it as just another trophy. Which is fine, one man’s meat is another man’s poison and all that. But surely as a former Chelsea apprentice, who made his debut in 1973 having just turned 17, you’d like to see some young players get their chance. Imagine if you were a youngster at Chelsea now. You wouldn’t stand a chance of getting anywhere near the first team. Chelsea would simply go out and buy somebody who could pass the ball sideways rather than bring through a youngster who could pass the ball sideways all day long.
You said “Playing a young or weakened team undermines the value of the competition. And we have not and will not do that. We want to win it, big time”. Far be it for me to suggest otherwise but perhaps some young players might have approached the game against Burnley with a little more effort than some of your ‘big time’ players.
Oh, you can put it down to a freak result, these things happen in cup football, blah, blah, blah, but we all know that’s not true. Chelsea lost because you happened to open your big mouth and then you sideways passed your own foot into it. You totally and utterly jinxed them with your comments. And it’s brilliant.
Did you see Arsenal against Wigan? Did you? Do you really think seeing young players enjoying their football is undermining the value of the competition? Do you think Arsenal slashing ticket prices so more fans, especially young fans, can attend the games is undermining the value of the competition? Do you think those young fans seeing incredible young talent like Wilshere, Ramsey, Vela, Djourou, Merida and Simpson is undermining the value of the competition?
If you do then you might need to step back and have a little rethink. Surely Chelsea’s ‘big time’ players bottling a penalty shoot-out undermines the value of the competition more. Surely Didier Drogba throwing a coin at the crowd, Carragher style, undermines the value of the competition more. Surely even playing Drogba (a man whose behaviour in the Champions League final was so appalling that most clubs would have sold him in a heartbeat) ahead of some, young, eager teenager undermines the value, not only of the competition, but of your club. That’s assuming there are any values there to begin with. Which there aren’t.
We beat Wigan with kids, you couldn’t beat Burnley with your first team. That’s proper ‘big time’. Anyway, I’m rambling here. I’d best leave you to work with those ‘big time’ players. What joy it must bring you to coach £140,000-a-week been there, done that, worn the t-shirt players and have them lose in a cup game to a team with Ade Akinbiyi in it. I’m sure it’s nothing like the pleasure gained from taking young players, developing them the ‘Arsenal’ way, and seeing them destroy a Premier League team. Not that you’d know.
sincere regards,
