Chelsea 0-0 Fulham | Slipping Away . . .

The one and only bright spot of the day - our home league record is still intact. Special thanks to Petr Cech. Did we deserve to win? Did we control the game? Did we dominate the game? Were we on top of things? My dear Chelsea! We would be 10 points off the table leader if they win the game on hand and this is only September. Is this going to be a jinxed season, this one?

May be, it all started on a wrong note, with the team selection. Three strikers upfront, may be two of them were supposed to work like wingers but they didn’t. Only Joe Cole as an attacking midfielder who could feed the forwards well. Two no-so-offensive minded midfielders in Maka and Sidwell. No Malouda. Ben Haim again as the centre back.

Not a team you would send to win the match by ‘more goals’. It was very clear that Avram did not want to lose and probably that was the first and foremost thing in his mind. How else would you explain a 4-3-3 with Maka and Sidwell only with Joe Cole, an attacking midfielder and no geniune wingers such as Malouda or SWP?

Here is Avram’s boring and dull post-match response:

I think we made seven or eight chances for goals today, so from this point it is good but we didn’t score. I can’t say anything about this because the last four or five games we didn’t score enough except against Hull. It was not our best game, and we need to improve this but again we created the chances to score. First we need to score, then we need to win. I can’t argue with this. Even with this gap, anything can happen. For this we need to score goals and play better. I think the players want to play better, they give everything they can, but need to improve a few things.

Now, let me answer those questions I had asked in the intro paragraph. Did we deserve to win? A neutral would say NO. I would say, may be. The reason why I say ‘may be’ is explained by the answer to the next question. Did we control the game? A neutral would say NEVER. I would say no. We had no control over our own game, so controlling the overall game was not in question. Were we on top of things? C’mon, you know the answer now.

Overall it was a disjointed performance. Many of our players did not know what role to play or did not know the roles of their colleagues. Shabby passing and complete misunderstanding at times. Don’t be deceived by the number of off-target shots, most of them were well and truly off target. For a injury-return, Drogba had a good first match. I thought Belletti was impressive. Joe Cole always looked like the possible source of a goal. Ben Haim was shaky and never looked a better bet than mighty Alex.

Tony Glover at the Chelseablog was completely upset at the result and the way we played. His verdict on Shevchenko’s performance was this:

He gets 1 out of 10 for putting the right shirt on. He has had his chance, and apparently he has had his day. Andriy - retire and play golf. You are not good enough for my club - 1/10

Shevchenko is indeed running out of excuses. I’m always a big fan of Sheva and have supported him all along. Now there is no Jose Mourinho. There is a different playing style or atleast there are claims of such attempts. His coach speaks Russian. There is no one against him as such. He has to do lot better to convince another start. He had this simple chance, a customary tap-in for a centre forward of any class, which he reacted a second too late. As per BBC, he was the popular choice for the worst player on the pitch. If it were Jose, he’d be out for the next few matches.

sheva.PNG

If you had seen this match, you’d have surely missed Mourinho. It’s not that he wins all the matches (but he has a better record than any other reputed manager). But atleast his team would give their all to win the match. You could see their desparation. You could see the tactics changing. You could players and roles changing. They would give more than 100% to win the match. If they still end up sharing points or losing the match, at least you’ll have this feeling that your team fought well. Today, it was just a shameful tame finish.

Okay, we had to sub Terry with Alex but still Avram had two substitutions to use in the second half to force a win. Pizarro comes in for Sheva at the 54th minute. In similar circumstances, under Jose Mourinho, you’d have seen Maka coming out for SWP and Malouda would have been in the team already. Avram did not take Maka out because, he did not want to lose at the Bridge. As simple as that. As someone pointed out, the Chelsea dugout’s reaction to Drogba’s red card was pathetic. Whether Drogba was on the right side or wrong, Jose would have been fuming and blasting and this psyche catches onto the Chelsea players on the field. Not just once or twice, almost every time Chelsea got a red card under Jose, our team has come out blazing and has even bettered the 11-men opponents in most cases. But Avram could not inspire or motivate.

avramfulham.PNG

In such circumstances, JMC would always a be highly dangerous and you could see even the top 4 teams going men behind ball and crowd their defence. Neither did we look dangerous nor did Fulham fear us. Fulham nearly could have scored not once, but twice, in the last 10 minutes. Avram’s heart must have stopped for a moment, when Konchesky had only Petr Cech to beat, but thanks to big Pete. Then again in a few minutes, Kamara wasted another one-on-one chance. I should say we were very very lucky to still keep the record, but this record will be gone soon. Be prepared.

Terry has fractured his cheek bone and he will be out for some days. While BBC Sports suggests that he would be out for about three weeks, the official Chelsea FC website says it’s unsure if he could play at Mestalla. Strange! We were missing Lampard, and then Drogba, and now Terry. Interesting to see how Avram manages these adversities. Before I forget, Chelsea has drawn Leicester in the League Cup. No, I’m not taking them lightly, not anymore.

Fulham manager Lawrie Sanchez said this after the match:

We kept a clean sheet for the first time in the Premier League and, as always, you sort one end out and the other one stops. We had a couple of chances at the end and I’m disappointed we didn’t get the three points. We had two one-on-ones with the keeper.

So when was the last time you heard a manager saying this at the Bridge? Disappointed about not getting three points!? This is fortress Stamford Bridge and Fulham talking about getting three points like nobody’s business?

The Stamford Bridge crowd was singing Jose Mourinho’s name all through the match and it got louder and louder towards the last 30 mins. Roman was watching this match from the Shed End. That should have helped him to understand the feelings of the fans. The televison cameras were always showing the reactions of Peter Kenyon, in the last 10 minutes. Kenyon had this grim face and appeared very restless and impatient. Must be wondering what will happen to the dream of world domination!

The Chelsea team was booed off by our own fans at the Stamford Bridge. Not a very nice thing to do to your own team. But the fans wanted to express their unhappiness over the recent happenings. We all know that it’s not against the player but against the club/team management. They’re bloody right in showing their dissent by booing. Now, it’s on the headlines and when Mr.Abramovich gets up in the morning and reads his newspaper with his finest coffee, he’d know that there are Chelsea supporting people with a different opinion, if he didn’t quite get the message in his Shed End seat.

table.PNG

I know it’s little too early to say the title is ’slipping away’. But there is something fundamentally wrong. It’s going to take some time and a good coach for us to settle down. All that I can say is that Roman is making a mess of a great Chelsea team. Of course, he bought the team while Jose built it, but that should not give him the right to dismantle it as we watch. I’d like to hope that everything will be allright soon but at this moment, I’m unable to define what ‘allright’ is!

True score line Fulham 3-0 Chelsea…..

Having a bad throat didn’t make it easy for me to curse my luck and my coach…My luck for seeing such a performance and my coach (when say my I mean Blues coach) for such a ridiculous team selection….

For such an ambitious club seeing a 0-0 draw at home is no better than loosing 1-0 to the away side…It doesn’t make sense to choose differently just for the sake of choosing to act 360 degrees from your predecessor or probably its just a Russian with a huge ego trying to tell everyone he is the boss around here…. Before commenting in the game I have to confess today that all my optimism for the clubs hierarchy and the “3 match cant make miracles” philosophy owners success as a historical emotion….

True Blue fans are unbelievable…. people talk about liverpooler’s being vocal about their emotions and backing the team when needed however today I must say that I am proud to be a Blue even if we are crashing & burning at the moment…You must ask why? Its because loyalty for the Special one and recognition for his greatness was still so evident on the bridge that it was untrue…They all like us want to believe in the romantic notion that you & I can make a difference and bring back the special one (not likely to happen), however today I believe that even bringing a below average, under-rated, even a homeless minor league ex-coach might be able to look between the lines and utilize his options better…While making this comment I do not blame AV as the clowns who think that they are going to paint the world blue with an ex-coach of a national side in the later part of his life with no ambitions for even personal glories is pure and simple love for fantasy….Also don’t want to blame the owner and the management as all of them want a piece of what Murinho had built as a legacy….A legacy that was designed around his charisma they could have gotten a compromise of fame with JM….

I would like to share with you what I missed most about the Special one today…Not his team selection or anything to do with the way the blues played today but it was his would-be reaction to Drogba being showed the red card…JM would have exploded in support of his player and that is where the blues from down & out positions used to bounce back like champions…Seeing no support from the bench Drogba had to take of his shirt to hide his face, never seen emotion from the Ivory coast star…. I have to confess that I did have a tear shed for him…. Football and all competitive sports are about body language not about how rock solid strategy it about the hope & spirit around you, being unanimated at the side lines wearing a Chelsea Armani suit (how cool did JM looked in it) like an over-grown puppet doesn’t make the guys on the field spark their gun powder…. In all fairness AV is not to blame he is an administrator at best not what we are used to seeing an aggressive, charismatic leader…that where AV’s competence ends….. Today should have been an eye opener for Roman especially if he is serious in making this club a global force in football…Bring back JM (highly unlikely) or someone with a personality in this sport we all love….

It’s easy to go on and on about what is resulting into a spectacular display of immaturity however let me comment about the game before I can take a few pills to ease the pain, no event was more noticeable than the team selection. How can any one assume that the number of strikers is directly proportional to the number of goals you score? My game comments are as follow:

Kicking off with an aggressive lineup (in AV opinion or under Roman’s instructions) of 3 strikers or 4 forward players having Sidwell & Maka in the center was a little out of the box in the start which did make a some real good football stick out with some poor performance for the guy they named European footballer of the year…. Its bad form or lack of it, I have simply no words for such a poor finishing, passing & kicking display by Sheva (all respects to your previous glories but you don’t convince me for a second anymore). After which we saw wasteful free-kicks from the tip of our sword, didn’t mind it as much as his attitude of stealing away the ball from other deserving players who could have done well with the dead ball situation…

Chance after chance went flying here and there or barely in the net…that’s where you see lack of belief…ooooohhhhss and oooopppsss!!! Were everywhere in the first half, most noticeably by Sheva & Kalou…. Don’t blame Kalou he is too young & will be a great future for the club……Terry was the most out standing individual of the team as showed what a prized fighter is like!!! Fractured jaw isn’t a joke…. So even if they blame JT for JM’s departure its ok, as he is a True Blue leader, way beyond our wildest criticism’s there is a great leader in our ranks….

In the first half and across the second Ben showed a poor running, I never could imagine such sloppy work from the Israeli (probably CFC isn’t an equal opportunity employer anymore)…. Alex should start along side Terry in place of Ricardo….

3 strikers at the top were like a messed up formation for a system that works with a solid mid field in a diamond having a striker at top…. I could hear my brother laughing out loud when all three were after the same ball at the same time on the same side…crazy, absolutely crazy!!!!! I did see the team trying to believe their manager and play for the club however the screwed up formation caused them to play eventually within themselves…Maka for change played well however I feel his instructions were to pass the ball to Sheva, he was like Sheva’s feeder….

Joe Cole’s performance was marvelous as usual however Belleti & Ashley were not effective due to a slim mid-field…. You can’t move forward through the wings with such a weak center…

Second half start till Drogba’s dismissal was positive however Sheva still wasn’t making any sense in London…. Difference number two from the old Chelsea to the new one comes here again down to ten men they used to still win matches as the system of a thick strong mid-field didn’t change anything. Today the greatness of Petr Cech was re affirmed when he saved those great counter attacks, if I had to pay 30 million pounds to him for just staying around for the next year I would write a cheque this very instance…. Alex & Ben in the closing stages were just spectator as we couldn’t hold the ball in the mid-field… Belleti was doing a great job even when all were huffing & puffing against a bottom of the league team…

The Malouda case at the dying minutes replacing Ashely could only be because of his limping on the pith otherwise that change made no sense even for a poor manager like AV…I don’t know what going in Steve’s mind when he looks at such a formation & team selection; the man has to have some nerve to sick around in this job…probably the love of the club keeps him around…

More last minutes negative’s for you are as follows:

1- Such performances would definitely make sure that we would not have many left after the January transfers.
2- The above would result into a much weaker squad & the reputation of the club would make sure no one in their right minds would want to join the blues for junk loads of money.
3- Another new disease of no delivering corners past the first defender.
4- JM’s eye for players like Pato, Aliu & Alves was an act of a visionary however now no chance that these player would feel a development of their game with the likes of AV.
5- AV’s lack luster style should not be compared however giving him the benefit of being too new is like saying we are willing to wait for him to improve however we wanted instant success from JM, what hypocrisy!!!

Any positives from today, Yes only one!!! The blue performance wasn’t a player issue but more strategic in nature therefore I believe all this will motivate Roman & the clowns to double their efforts (if any) for a worthy predecessor for JM “my special one” he’s the one who made me love this club…

Park you all with the words of the banner at the sidelines that replicated my thoughts by saying “THANK YOU JOSE”!!!

Thank you Jose!!! Go on blues!!!

Hi Guys,

The match report published in the official chelsea website says Essien n Shaun were injured in the game aginst Hull..Thats why they were missing it seems

2 more points dropped..any of you here seriously think we can win the EPL this season??..we are already 10 points or so behind Arsenal, n we arent showing any signs of improving

I dont know what to say or whom to blame…we dominated again..yet no positive result…

Sheva, Kalou N Drogba had more than enough chances to bang in 1 goal atleast..The finishing was just horrible

AG’s startegy baffles me..

What was the starting formation today???…4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 4-2-4????

n Where was the Midfield today???.

there was no link in the middle..just joe, sidwell, kalou running around without any aim or purpose hoping for something to happen..Maka was sitting in front of defence in his customary holding Midfield position..Where was the link?????..

n why the heck is TBH starting?????..If anyone should be sold in january, its him..Big Sam wanted TBH..please send him away to newcastle..even if its on a free transfer..this guy gives me a heart ache in the centre of our defence..hes slow, lacks presence, lacks understanding, throws his arms around in the box, gets too close to forwards in the box..all the makings of a horrible CB..I dont know whats wrong with him..maybe hes trying too hard to impress

AG’s strategy n man mangement skills leave a lot to be desired..he doesnt know what substitutions to make n when..he should have introduced Malouda for Maka by around the 55th or 60th minute…we still hadnt scored at that point, so we should have sacrificed the Holding midfielder n surged further ahead..keep sidwell in the middle..play joe n malouda on either side..n let Kalou, pizzaro n drogba create havoc up front…attack with some shape n structure..not what AG was doing..put all the attacking players up front..put all the defensive players back..leave the midfield empty..he doesnt seem capable of motivating the players to go that extra mile to achieve success..hes laid back n the team is looking laid back as well now…

AV dude, show some emotion n passion man..u want to win over the fans, show us the passion…this guy always keeps a grim face n never reacts to anything..n his post match reactions are horrible..we are chelsea, not some 3rd division side making their 1st appearance in the top flight..u dont have to be extra nice n pretty when u give post match reactions

n We dont have a single player in our ranks to take a good free kick or corner??????????????????????

cant they parctice it while training????..if its just 1 or 2 bad ones, its ok..now all our free kicks n corners are horrible..

Petr Cech is worth 100 million according to me..if not for him n some horrble finishing by the Fulham forwards, our historic unbeaten streak would have ended today

AG please do something…this was a feared n respected team all over europe..dont take them to the NEXT level..but please dont take them 1 level BACK..

get ur strategy n planning right..select the best players to play..dont play ur favourites…put on a smile atleast for the cameras..motivate the players..bring in the passion n emotion that was charteristic of JM’s Chelsea..

valencia away next..i just hope we dont lose…

cmon team..settle into some rhythm…start winning again

positives from the game:

1) a clean sheet
2) Petr Cech Regaining his confidence n improving with each game
3) Pretty decent performance from players Like Belleti,Ashley, Joe etc

Negatives:

1) Strikers not in form
2) Not a single person to take corners or free kicks
3) Fans Booing the team off the pitch
4) Horrible team Startegy

AG..we are ready to back you..but please make us believe in you..make some sensible decisions n show more passion on the field man..

Cmon CHELSEA…

I have just got back from the game. Yes people I was there. Let me give you the low down

Chelsea was rubbish. They created chances but couldnt put them away. 4 goalless games on the run in the league - Villa and Man Utd away, Blackburn and Fulham at home!!!

JT had his face cracked in as early as the third min - both the ref and his assistant missed it - a clear elbow by Dempsey - and JT doesnt go down that easily. Now we know JT is having surgery tomorrow (Sunday) and could be out for up to 2 months.

Sheva has lost the fans love. He was booed off after 55mins and his performance was his worst ever.

Didier talked himself into his first yellow card - he was adamant he should have had a penalty in the first-half - his second yellow, was a joke. As far as I was concerned it was HEAD to BOOT eheheheheheheh?

? for you. Drogba got the captain’s armband when JT didn’t return for the second-half, who was the last Chelsea captain to be sent off?

Grant tried to do a Mourinho. He pulled off A Cole and brought on Malouda. Fulham could have scored THREE times, thankfully they didn’t - a super Cech save, and brilliant Makelele tackle and a fantastic Alex block.

Chelsea for me this season - WILL NOT WIN A THING - if they do - it will be a miracle!!!!

However, I was there when we were shit and I will still be there.

KTBFFH

But at the moment, Chelsea is ‘rich boy’s plaything!!!

I wish I would have went fishing rather than see the live broadcast this mess of a game. Grant’s player selection and strategy was shameful. Pizzaro handles the ball much better than Sheva and should have played up front with EITHER Drogba or Kalou. I don’t recall Chelsea ever starting 3 strikers even under the “Tinkerman.” Why didn’t Malouda start? And as far as Sheva chosen to take free kicks, that should not happen again! J Cole, Bellenti, and Cech were true studs for the team today. But the overall performance was sorely lacking and I blame Abromovich for getting rid of a fine manager and not having an adequate replacement on hand. Heck, even naming Steve Clarke as a caretaker manager would have been a better choice than the mess we’ve witnessed today.
Blueblood 58, I highly respect you for your long years of supporting this club. But, I confess I don’t know how long I’ll back Chelsea if Abromovich cannot provide a better article of football than this.

Oh my ,We played football with “FLAIR” , oh creepy . I read an article about grants drilling session that it is 20 years behind time and the stupid rich man employed him ?. Sheva is a huge disaster, all he a has left is a spark of billiancy whereby he can not hold the ball for more than 2 second .He is such a jerk . What a creapy team . RA is toying with the genuine love of chelsea fans across the world by bringing his stupid friends to come and be part of chelsea story. He is compromising the spirit of chelsea fans for friendship and there are lots of chelsea fans that can compromise a whole lot of stuff just to watch chelsea play . Grant is not and will never be the right choice for chelsea …Lets see how it goes .

I am one of those who have for long kept faith with Sheva. I formally wish to declare that after yesterday, I have finally realised that it’s a lost cause. Sheva will never be the same. Jose is a real Seer. The guy is past his prime, no doubt.

Belleti is so impessive. I cannot believe Barca let go of this guy so easy. He is real quality. And am glad many are gradully realising the real quality of Piz. he is the most creative striker- cast your mind back to the bham game- he was the creative spark.

Sep 30, 2007 @ 8:54

well , another poor game with no goals, i want to be positive while everyone has been negetive, its about 9 points drift from arsenal, a matter of 3 or 4 games win or loose situation, i personally dont think arsenal can go on and be on top all the way, as soon as the fixtures pile up with PL, Carlin Cup, FA cup abd CL, most of them , including chelsea will start to struggle. and as African cup starts few players from arseal and chelsea including (toure, eboue, adabayor) will be out for 3 or 4 weeks, so they will drop points,

as far as man utd are concerned they are some how winning playing their spectacular footbal,(huhu huh ), they are winning like chelsea last year, 1-0..

playing against valencia on wednesday would be a tough ask now, JT injured, Essien not sure, SWP most probably out, sheva as spectacular as always is the only hope, (i must be dreaming, lol), not sure wen RC is back, so defence will be Alex and TBH, as some one said in one of their comments,, this guy, TBH gives me a heart attack everytime he touch the ball, he is no Ricardo Carv, he is hopeless, according to me he should only be on the bench, best to bring him on if we are winning by 3-0 just to defend the lead,

IF Mr AG wants to play any attacking football he should go for somthinng like this, i dont know how many of you agree with me, pls do give your views on the formation,

chech
belleti, tbh, alex,acole
joecole, mikel, maka, malouda
drogba,kalou
bench- sheva, pizz, sid, paulo, bridge, carlo,

i personally would prefer to see 2 big man up front, drogba and pizz, wid mikel and maka sitting back wingers attacking , creating passes and whipppin the crosses, drogba scrored plenty of goals with his head in the first 2 season and last season since we hardly played with any wingers everything was to his feet and ofcourse him being in a fine form last season didnt had any problem with ball to feet but i am sure he will score if we can get our wingers to whip in crosses, hes deadly in air, pizz had so far impressed me well, he has very good first touch and ball control, good in air,and am sure he will come very useful during african cup,

the one player i used to admire a lot and one of my all time fav, andriy shevachenko, what happened to this guy, can anyone tell me, a player cant go down soo soo bad, with in a year or so, no one becomes the european player and win dozens of trophies and score 50 odd goals in europe with out any talent or skills or whatever you want to call it, his performance today was so pathetic, i felt sorrry for him, when he scored the goal against spurs last year in fa cup i had a feeeling he might come good this season once hes used to the pace and style of premireship, but i dont think there is any hope left now,i would seriously consider letting him go on loan to his old club dynamo kiev who were interested to loan him during the transfer window, plssssssssss sent him away,
we never had a chance to play with all our squad fit , my formation would be somthing like this, again plss comment ur formations,

chech
belleti, RC, JT,acole
essien
ballack,,,,,,lampard
.swp…drogba…joecole

1 DMF and 2 AMF players with 2 wingers and 1 striker, we can always chop and change them around with mikel and maka as DMF and essien or sidwell going in a CMF with one AMF player lampard or Ballack, Kalou and Malouda can start or be on the bench if we need more wingers and sheva and pizz to partner with drogba or kalou if we are playing a 4-4-2 from 4-3-3.

lets all hope for the best and be positve , am sure the things will turn around and we will start winning and we will win with style.

Am i THE ONLY One who thinks avram is over critisized………….his starting line up’s were quite decent……….he is nowhere jose but still we cannot qualify him as a muppet……..we need someone better than jose and if i m to believe “Jurgen Klinsmann” is the right replacement for jose…….a fairy tale story can be we get jose back but that’s simply not going to happen………roman will rather sell CFC than eat his own actions and brin back jose………..and unless roman seriously melts down there is no way jose returns.
in simple words jose is not returnin we must simply live with it.
another thing as jose is gone and gone caus he never gave the sexy footie roman desires…..[i m not sayin this]…………to start off few points which “joeblue” was spot on was we cannot play sexy footie which roman craves for with the current squad[which symbolises never say never, winning mentality and team work]
players which fit into the system which roman wants
————————————————————–
*Joe Cole-By far the most creative player in CFC Squad
*Ashley Cole-World’s 2 best LWB[Phillip Lahm is the best accordin to me]
*Juliano Belletti-We have stuck upon a gem who unfortunately is on the wrong side of his career
*Salomon Kalou-joeblue doesn’t like him but i insist under proper guidance and training he can be the next big thing
*Michael Ballack-joeblue won’t agree but i think he is creative damn creative and will give cfc what lampard has been offering to cfc if utilized in proper way……..and AM I THE ONLY ONE who thinks his first season was average not bad as many point it out to be
*Michael essien-first point CDM aren’t meant to be creative so he easily fits into the system
*,Cech,JT,Carvalho,Alex,Bridge[Our defense is practically flawless]
*obi mikel,swp,sidwell-raw talent, need to be moulded
*Pizarro-mourinho is genius……..this is the most unselfish guy who is more concerned about creatin chances, yet a clinical finisher….perfect for a supporting striker role in 4-4-2

Players who don’t fit into roman’s system[i m not sayin they are crap]
———————————————–
*Lampard-many will argue but fact is fact we love him caus of his scorin ability ,not caus of his creativity.
he cannot hold the ball, easily tackled, cannot bring out killer passes[compare him to Fabregas]………so to put it simply he lacks vision……he is more or less our third striker………and about his assists……when you play CAM then you are bound to end with assists…..robben even when injured was very near him when assists were concerned

*drogba-again i m goin to get abused but the fact is
1.his last year performance was more or less due to sheva’s[lack of] form and his assists……….sheva created space for him as no defence will take sheva lightly[they may now but i talkin bout last year]due to his reputation as world’s most danger striker………
2.he is approachin thirty,we will profit by his sale……he has reached his peak n now can only detoriate.

*malouda-cannot get past defenders, more of a central player, doesn’t fit as a proper winger, more focussed on scorin instead of creatin
*makelele-legend but he is too old now………..it will be better if some youngster from academy or any club comes to fill his boots
*cudicini,hilario-former deserves to be 1st choice goalkeeper, latter is already 31 let’s give some youngsters chance
*ferrieira-i m okay with him but is uncomfortable goin forward………bring someone young let him be a understudy to belletii who is nearing the end of his career
*TBH-do i need to give explanation……..if remains 4th choice no problem
*Andriy Shevchenko-Last but not the least
Players to be bought
————————–
*Ricardo Queresma-Replacement for robben
*Diego-Young,great talent,not overpriced
*van der vaart-will come for cheap,available,excellent talent,young
*RWB-Young,talent,not over-priced,if possible for cheap
*Sameer nasri-Another talent…………young, said to be the next zidane
*David Villa-The only striker which comes to my mind,young,talented,over-priced but no other option.
*Lone Striker-yOUNG,NOT OVERPRICED,TALENTED……no names coming to my mind right now

So our final squad something like this
———-
——cech———-belletti/RWB——-ricky/TBH——terry/alex———cole/bridge—-
———————————–essien/mikel——————————————
————van der vaart/ballack—————————-diego/nasri————-
—–JOE/SWP—————————————————–Quersema/Kalou—-
————————————–Villa/Pizarro—————————————-

It’s a great feeling to note that so many good comments are posted over Blue champions with some genuine suggestions & concerns. It is really heart warming to be around such like-minded people.

It is very easy for me to understand what is going inside our Mecca (Stamford bridge executive offices), even if I have no contact with any of the executives even the janitors (figure of speech to show hierarchal diversity-not a discriminating comment). How do I know all this? Simple, many of you live in different parts of the world and have diverse environmental stimuli that develop our understanding of what is ideal & what’s not. I consider my self extremely lucky to have such stimuli that make me understand the current Blue’s woes in a blink of my eye.

I live in Pakistan which is going through what my beloved club is going through for the last 8 years & you would ask what is your beloved club going through? CFC is going through an ugly patch of a single individual demonstrating his urge to be supreme commander of all that goes around in the club or in our case the whole country without having a single of the consequences to the supporters or in our case the people of the nation. We have a General & the club has a billionaire, I do not intend to make this post political however I am only trying to relate how clubs are like micro countries having their own residents (fans), friends (allies), enemies (rivals), intellectuals (you), ministers (management personnel like Buck & Kenyon), heroes (JM), puppets (AV) & the Supremo (Roman)-all of you can come up with more examples. So in a case where you have absolute power or single strong owner there is always a support structure available that only talks the talk of the Supremo in social or locally acceptable language even if they personally disagree to the decisions. Kenyon & Buck are a part of the support structure, which in any state are the ministries & judiciary and more appropriately in my state are completely manipulated in which they make decisions, comments & actions which are in coherence with the limited glass house vision of the Supremo (Roman in this case). I live in a third world country so it is understandable to have such problems however to have people acting so strange in an intellectually superior environment I come to the judgment that these all human attributes free from borders & societies.

I guess enough pain has been shared amongst you to make an understanding of how these decisions are being made and no one within the ranks disagrees, as the ranks are an extension to the Supremo.

After reading CFC’s comments I was glad he had so many alternates for many of the current lot, I would not be that knowledgeable to give you more than two alternates however I believe that it not about replacing the lot with newer and better player (arguably better), it really is about utilizing the current resources. Not even for one moment in the game against Fulham that I believe that we had substandard players or less effective first team or ineffective bench or ridiculous reserves. We are just not utilizing the resources for success we are utilizing them based on like and dislikes for someone or “Change for the sake of Change”.

The glass tower strategies are a part & parcel of too much wealth combined with reasonably early successes (even through JM) that have resulted into complete blurry of visions eg; JM had to win everything while AV comes up with statements that “we are creating chances but goal shy and need to work on this problem” (not a quote however it is summary from recent AV sayings). Completely disoriented approach of our Supreme owner wanting to call the shot to become the most acceptable and cheered personality of an organization, club or country. This would never happen because a Russian will never be able to become the darling of the club as he has not worked his way up the ranks to become who he is at the blues or we can simply put it this way that he has no mandate from the people of the blue (us), the only way to receive warmth from the supporters was to have front men like JM working in the greater interest of the club, now minus JM and addition of the puppet AV you will never be able to become loved by the fans. The way we all heard the boo’s from the fans were not because of the players they were for the glass castle inhabitants exactly the same is happening in our country for the General where anybody and everybody who can make his voice heard has made sure they say something in socially acceptable or unacceptable manner.

As I had mentioned in my match analysis comment I feel that AV is a good administrator, a good friend to the owner but not an animated, charismatic, visionary & killer instinct holder. He is not good enough for a managerial position for such a passionate club that wants to move forward rather than moving forward to go backwards.

Let me finalize some more important facts for all of us:

1- Malouda or SWP would have been JM’s favorites this season however just being the loved ones of the sacked (arguably) will always make them second stringers having no motivation to play cutting edge games.
2- Specifically for Malouda he has no history with the club & thus increasing his probability of a January exit.
3- However you select the team TBH is very sporadic in his efforts, flashes of brilliance to splashes of idiocarcy, a definite 3-string defender (accept this fact even if he is an Israeli.
4- Terry still deserves to be my blues captain.
5- Loosing Lampard at the end of this season along with Drogba would be the biggest consequence of Roman’s decision to have a non-prolific coach, not AV’s fault.
6- Hanging on with Sheva even for a bench warmer is stupidity and will be a burden on our salary expense, the club has given more chance to him than any other, I would suggest you give guys like Bridge a chance before they leave your club.
7- Severely stupid philosophy of clouding the front with strikers and forwards does not make you aggressive as a team; look around you in the league to support my claim.
8- Time is not lost to bring in a better coach like Klinsman who would save some of us with more embarrassing moments when almost three players are running for the same ball (even I had a laugh about that, imagine what the rival fans would have done).
9- Current team minus Sheva is good enough to go forward for a campaign having 4 trophies at the highest level.

Greatest fear;

1- It is only one; AV screws up CL (not fiction will be witnessed by us) as without Lamps, Drogba and now Terry don’t expect him to being belief into the less played boys where they would go and get themselves killed for his word. After the CL screw up, poor sow up in PL will result into CL qualifying which he cannot even dream to achieve (Roman can try it himself) & you are left struggling with really old players from top flight teams as no one wants to mess up his career at CFC. Over paid & practically injured roaster for the new manager or AV.

If without any billions in my bank account I can figure out these things than why cant a guy in his late thirties having billions can understand it??? How?? Is it too much Vodka or just plain simple dumbness or maybe I am not a billionaire just because I can figure out these things.

Please remember that all the people at the blues are exceptional, all due credits should be given to Roman, AV, Kenyon, Buck etc and hats off to my living hero Mr. Steve Clarke loving known as Stevie or Clarkie (will write about him soon). Giving them what they deserve let me park this comment by saying “all is not lost all that has happened is that you have lost sight through the romantic notion of invincibility”

My blues the only real blues !!!!

as we are slipping away, we see lesser words and lesser participation from people like joeblue and manish! strange coincidence or natural progression?!

now we need a poor collapse from arsenal which cannot be ruled out. what if fabregas or van persie or toure get injured for 3 months? man utd are catchable and liverpool will take care of their own downfall.

My Post match Comments

Get rid of AV!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dnt care what none a ya’ll may say abt giving him more time or that crap!!!!!!

I beleve its an insult to fans and supporters to hire an unknown like this as manager of CFC!!!

Aint none a ya’ll notice how our club is being ridiculed!!!!!

Who is AV……….What da hell is Abromo***** thinking????

Or what is he not thinking???????

I’ve officially taken a leave of absence as a CFC fan until I can get explanation from Abromo***** as to his plans for the club…..cuz really I dnt think this guy is doing this in the best interset of the club!!!!

So until we get a decent manager(with credentials)…where even if we lose….we can see that we have a tactician whose capable of lifting Chelsea, then I no longer wish to be a part of AV’s system. We neeeda manager who will not be a puppet might I say one even more blatant than Mourinho to Abromo*****!!!

Capello, Klinsman, Van Basten, get me one of em……& I’ll give the club a chance……….If u sack our most successful manager we are at least owed a suitable replacement!!!!

Av hardly fits that bill!!!!

Here’s to a trophy less season……….
Thanx a lot Abromo*****!!!!!!

Abramovich went into the Shed for the second-half and sat with the fans. I guess he is/was frustrated as we all are - but the decision he made to part compnay with Jose - is laid firmly at his door and nobody else’s.

His decision and his responsibility.

The ‘faithful’ has lost faith in Sheva I am sorry to say. He lasted less than 10 minutes of the second-half and he was booed by sections of the fans when he left the pitch.

Four times during the course of the game - fans sung for Jose Mourinho. I didn’t what’s the point, he has gone and won’t be back.

Somehow we have all got to find the strength to ’support’ the club.

Managers come and go. I have seen some dreadful Chelsea managers and I have seen some brilliant ones - they left the next came in and so on and so on.

Grant will never in a million years replace Mourinho. Stories in today’s press speculate that Grant will be gone by Christmas and Steve Clarke WILL BE leaving within the next two weeks.

KTBFFH

Manish, you said another two points dropped. That is a fact. But fact is if it were Jose, you will not have stopped there but go one step further to tell the world how it was all down to a bad manager. So the truth is that you are being pretty selective yourself. Or is it that the current manager is not responsible for our results?

Pooh! I made a comment with no mailicious or abusive words and you’ve replied like this. I remember of what Jose said about Ronaldo: “it’s got to do something with your education, environment and civilization”.

all those hundreds of (pointless) comments of joeblue and yourself, were all made while you were rejoicing that Jose won’t win the title. After Avram took over, your and his participation, number of comments, size of comments have come down considerably.

Is this a strange coincidence or natural progression?

So, I give you another chance to come out with a civilised response.

Reason why kafka catches you and joeblue is that for every comment against your ideas or opinions, you both would respond like how you have done @ #28. Keep doing this and have yourself sent off. I’d never have a problem with my comments and I do it very sensibly, with no abuses or cheap insults.

@41, style vrs performance? That is a question for you to rather answer. Jose has always maintained that players can keep their chin up even in defeat once they give everything they ve got up to the final whistle. Can you honestly say that yesterday saw us giving everything we have like we do when the going is rough under Jose?

That is what i mean by performance. A spirited performance even with one man down. Not the kind of performance that makes us pray for the final whistle to be blown lest our Jose inspired nearly 70 unbeaten runs comes crashing.

We lost at Villa but we knewthe boys gave it all they got and Oneil confessed after that his team was fortunate to have won. we drew against Rovers but anyone who watched that match knew we cannot compare what we did to what we saw yesterday. That is what we are talking about.

Why is so hard for some of us to see the calamity we are facing since Jose left and this Avaramovich took over? Or we are scared that by making that admission we will be hearing “we told you so” from the overwhelming majority of discerning blue fans?

Opposing teams and managers used to contend with two major obstacles: 1. the quality of our squad 2. The Wizardry of our manager.

Now they have to contend with just the first- even that factor at the moment is not highly motivated given the crazy decisions taken by fanciful dreamers chasing a crazy mirage.

No wonder Fulham could actually be cursing their stars for not collecting full points at the bridge. how art the mighty fallen?

when the cat is away, the mice have a field day indeed. Yesterday it was Fulham, how long will it be before the bridge is reduced into the playing ground of visiting teams?

O Roman, what a Visionary you are.

None of you blues supporters/media has mentioned Frank Rykaard (Barca manager) as a possible replacement for Mouriniho.

Its just Lippi, Scolari, Capello or Ronald Koeman and Johan Cruff (which made me laugh)!

ps: Mouriniho leaving Chelsea does not spell the end for Chelsea FC, I think if a good manager came to the club like Rykaard (who has proven himself, just recently)

We could over the next decade be the biggest club in Europe.

Wow. Are we all Chelsea fans or what? Bicker, bicker, bicker that’s all I see in these comments. Look, now, more than ever, we need to stand together as fans of the great and mighty Blues.

And yes, we are still mighty. Sure, recent results may not reflect that, but be sure our players haven’t forgotten it.

Regarding this West London derby - Sheva should be benched, plain and simple. His first touches always, ALWAYS, let him down and he squanders possession. Also, he was playing much deeper than he should, with Cole the one to run into defenders. WTF?!. Plant yourself in the box you nitwit! Belleti was magnificent, I’m glad we got him for RB. I was actually very satisfied with Sid’s performance: nothing flashy, nothing spectacular but give him a few more first team picks and I don’t think he’ll let us down.

You could see how badly we miss Lamps. Those corners? Give me a break. Sheva on free kicks? I almost threw up.

I don’t like AG. I don’t like how my club has been f***** over by a billionaire with delusions of footy knowledge. I don’t like our current form (who here does?). But I’m steadfast in my support. Wait till Lamps is back. Him and JT have always been the axle that CFC turns on.

Just checking out the BBC Sport web page. Seems that Grant may have received some racist and anti-Semitic abuse. I hope and pray this is not the case. We can boo the man for his poor management and the way he became the manager. But, we ought not get personal in our criticism.
I painfully accept the fact that Jose ain’t comming back. But, Abromovich has to find the BEST availiable manager and leave him alone to do his job. I don’t blame Agent Blue for taking a leave of absence from the club. Abromovich is taking fan loyalty for granted. If Grant isn’t gone or doesn’t do better by Christmas, I may go into exile myself.
