Short post today. Some quick news roundup on how Jose Mourinho wants to change his personality, on what Terry thinks about moving to/playing in USA, why Khalid thinks Jose made a mistake and some ‘positive’ developments at Man Utd, Liverpool & Arsenal. Also, my second thoughts on the LA Galaxy game.

Chelsea played really really well against LA Galaxy. I know I’m awfully late to say this, nevertheless the truth remains. I just watched the highlights again in Chelsea TV online, a few more times. It was very obvious that there is change in Chelsea’s style of play. We were unfortunate to end up with just one goal but it should have been many more.

The Drogba’s disallowed goal was pure magic by Malouda, Kalou, Sheva and Drogba – Sheva in particular. You could see that was very unChelsea to be that patient to build the attack being so close to the goal post. I’m convinced that this would be a much better season.

Berlusconi has a fair chance of getting shot by me, if I ever get to Milan. I’m sad to say that this is still news. Milan still seems to chase Sheva or atleast gives that impression to their supporters. From Chelsea’s side, we have made it clear that Sheva is not for sale, even if they present a cheque with 15 digits in there.

There is this interesting piece of news on Jose Mourinho on Telegraph and TimesOnline. Jose says that we would see a more mellowed version of himself. Among other things he says:

I will be more mellow this season. I’ve thought about it and it’s something I want to do. I am what I am, but at the same time people use my personality to create something that is not true. If I am emotional or react to something I think is not fair, it’s normal. But I feel that over the last couple of years people have created an image that is not correct. I shouldn’t feed it. I’m a bit more mellow.

Well, he does go overboard sometimes, occasionally embarrasses with his pre-mature statements. On the whole, he has been a great source of news for the Press, with his ‘unmellowed’ version. I have a feeling that he wouldn’t change because being direct is very much his nature, in his speech, and as you know, in his football too.

Elsewhere, John Terry says he’s the son of the soil and would never leave England, even if he were to be made President of United States. I know it’s like saying ‘Ronaldo dives’ but still let me say it – for a young, fierce competitor in Europe, hungry to achieve a lot, USA is certainly not the place.

Khalid vows to prove Mourinho wrong. Well, he should vow to improve rather than to prove. Even if he is successful at Sevilla that’s no guarantee that he would come good at Chelsea unless he realises that the problem is with himself and not with the coach.

And you know what, William Galloss is not alone. Now you have Ljunberg questioning Arsenal’s future, as he stepped out of Ashburton Grave to join West Ham. I like this guy, him game and his commitment. I’m sure it would be West Ham’s gain and not sure if it’s Arsenal’s loss, given that they use a flat 4-4-2 often.

Man Utd gets into more and more legal mess as Rafa Benitez decides to consult their lawyers over the suppressed move of Gabriel Heinze. With Arsenal future questioned by their squad players, Man Utd and Liverpool into a legal battle, Chelsea changing their formation with new players, there is no better time than now to start the new season.

Chelsea plays Feyenoord at the De Kuip stadium tomorrow at 6 pm UK time. More news on that tomorrow. See ya.
