The long drawn negotiations are finally over. Lyon has agreed for a 13.5m pound deal for Malouda and his is all set to appear for his medicals on Monday in London. And yes, the official Chelsea website has also confirmed this.

We might argue all day long on why we have have been hell bent on signing a winger while we have an apparent problem in the right back position. But the fact remains that he is coming to Chelsea and we have another three weeks to go in the transfer window. When Boulahrouz was signed, nobody could smell it all, well of course, he started stinking later on. Now I expect a similar coup to happen for the right back role, if the Dani Alves move fails.

malouda1.jpgIf the signing of Pizarro put enormous pressure on Kalou, Malouda’s arrival could simply shut off his first team chances. He is still young and has a great future but I dont honestly think he can make it to the first team this season. It won’t be a bad idea to loan him to a somewhat mid-table Premiership club. So far, there has not even been any murmur about such a possibility. If we make him available on the last week of this month, there would still be takers in the Premiership.

So how does Malouda fit in? See, it’s kind of getting clear that we’re going to play 4-3-3 this season. If Jose offloads Maka, 4-3-3 would become nearly certain. With both Robben and Joe Cole being fit (touchwood), SWP and Sheva still available, someone has to get ready warm the bench for long periods of time. I won’t be surprised if SWP becomes an out and out domestic cup player. Or Joe Cole might retreat to the side midfield which is not something new for him.

Malouda has formed successful partnerships with two of Chelsea most important players – Essien and Drogba. So, it should not be too difficult for Malouda to settle down, both professionally and personally.

Chelsea’s chase of Drenthe must make Ashley and Wayne feel jittery. Bridge had a very good season and Cole wasnt too bad either. If we are going to land Drenthe, he can even challenge for a first team slot. If you haven’t seen Royston Drenthe play, probably you won’t understand why at all we discuss the name of some 20-year old Dutch who had not existed a year ago.

You’re tempted too, right? Hold on for while until we sign him ahead of all those jealous european giants.

May be Tevez has left West Ham but has not joined Man Utd. He is owned by West Ham but only Kia Joorabchian has his selling rights. Man Utd have to pay Joorabchian because his company own the Tevez label, while they have to pay West Ham as they have already bought the player from Kia Joorabchian and not from his company. And Man Utd will have to pay his salary to his dog and the bonuses to his postman. It’s all fcuking confusing and awfully fishy.

And finally, the software upgrade has happened in bluechampions in the backend. I also thought that this is a nice time to replace the theme to give us some more professional ‘look and feel’. As always, wait for it to grow on you. And if I haven’t told you already, this blog is best viewed with Firefox browser, which is simply the best browser available. I’m still giving those finishing touches to this theme and it should win over you in the next 2 weeks.

If you haven’t done the survey yet, go do that right away!
