Meh and all other doubters… Do you really think that without lampard we would have got to where we were last season? not only did he play 90%+ of the games he scored more than sheva, ballack, kalou, essien and a good few more players! he is relaiable and solid, he may not have the flair or the imagination but come on they guy has been a solid player, id happily bet money that he had a hand in 75% of chelseas goals last season even if it was a one-touch pass!!!!
saying lamps should leave is like saying hey iv got 2 testicles lets get rid of one!!!! u need it for the team to work lol!!!

Maybe Adonis, but look at Arteta controlling at Everton , he too is not a huge guy but he was one of the best players in the EPL last season , he too had come from the spanish La Liga but showed his class , Lamps is bigger than Aimar but wats the use???? He takes the set-pieces so there is no chance of a header anywhere , thats wat Aimar is specalist at as well , so why not???

For me Riquelme is ruled out , he is too slow and slothlike to be in the EPL , and i think he wld flop , we need a fast , creative and intelligent midfielder , but with ample experience as well , Aimar is perfect for it!!!!

if we have to think further , not many people come to my mind , Sneijder or Vaart wld be dream come true , even Deco wld be good , Kaka is nigh impossible though he fills the bill perfectly , but JM never goes for that class of players , so if he leaves it will be only for REAL , Fabregas is another example of small players playing in Spain and carving out a career in EPL , i mean he got 13 assists last season!!!!!

We are talking about the best chelsea player for the last three years. If Michael ballack can earn 130000, then SuperFrank deserves 140000.
the guy who says lamps is phenomenal due to Essien’s presence, i will refer him to Frank’s best season ever —2004. essien was still in olympique Lyon at the time.Frank Lampard is chelsea and Chelsea is Frank Lampard

I like Aimar as well, joeblue, but compared to the size of Lampard he’s a toothpick. Aimar could be controlled in the English game.
Maybe we could have a few suggestions for replacements for Lamps… Van der Vaart, Aimar, Deco, Riquelme… Anyone else we could possibly get?
