The Best Chelsea Goals Of The 06-07 Season
The season is over. Now these guys can play as many international friendlies as they want. What do we do until July? Let’s keep talking and following football in some form or the other. In this blog, we’ll use this inter-season gap for some truly interesting debates and discussions.
In what ended as a good season after several turbulences, there were quite a lot of great moments, that you’d always want to cherish.
Let’s look back at those goals which stood out from the rest in terms of:
(i) the difficulty involved
(ii) the stage of the match
(iii) the importance of the goal
(iv) the drama around the goal
(v) the sheer joy it brought us
May be I’ve missed some goals that should be in the top 25 but you can help me.I actually thought of linking all these goals to the respective videos but that seemed to take too much of my time and that would also make this post to heavy to load. Please be aware that these are not in any particular order.
1. Shevchenko vs Liverpool in the Community Shield: This goal announced the arrival of the great Shevchenko to the English scene. Things started in a very promising manner for Sheva with this high quality goal. This was a goal that deserved to win the Community Shield.
2. Drogba at Blackburn in Premiership: It’s a brand new Drogba we got this season. If it was in the last couple of seasons, Drogba would have gone down in the box and might have earned a penalty or harsh criticism or both. Here, he maintains his balance, stays on his feet despite a difficult challenge and finishes as coolly as you would like. It was my favourite Drogba goal of this season until he bettered himself many times later on.
3. Drogba vs Liverpool in Premiership: This was the first of various super-Drog goals to come this season. When Drogba scored this goal, I thought Drogba just had a great match while he went on have a great season. Drogba scored many more goals in the same pattern where he received weighted lobs and chested them to blast into the net.
4. Drogba vs FC Barcelona in UEFA Champions League: There he goes again. One of the umpteen match-winning goals from Drogba. Receives a accurately directed long pass from Ashley Cole and embarrasses Barca defence. This goal was decisive in proving that the we are not going to be the casualty of the group of death.
5. Lampard at FC Barcelona in UEFA Champions League: One of the best goals of the Champions League this season. Lampard attempted a curved shot from a very acute angle to score a crucial away equaliser. If this goal was scored by some Ronaldo or Kaka or Henry or Ronaldinho, this might have been hailed by Press forever. As it happened to be a hardworking midfielder who plays for Chelsea and scores only 20 goals per season, it was not publicised as it should have been. A truly stunning goal in all respects.
6. Drogba at FC Barcelona in UEFA Champions League: Trailing at stoppage time in Camp Nou. No problem. Chelsea’s player of the season showed Barca what we are made of. Brilliant play from Essien and Terry to feed Drogba at a range from where he’d never miss. The single point gained in Camp Nou was not going to make a difference in the progression but we didnt want to lose to Barca and we wanted to teach them a lesson. While I was going ecstatic with this goal, I was going crazy with Jose’s celebration!
7. Lampard at Everton in Premiership: This match was a true showcase of Chelsea’s spirit and never-say-die attitude. With just under 10 minutes to go, trailing 1-2 down, Lampard quickly realised that he was given the time and space from his shooting range and blasts one to the top right corner. Vintage Lampard!
8. Drogba at Everton in Premiership: A match full of drama and goals, it deserved a perfect finish which was provided by a incredible Didier Drogba. Everytime I see this goal replay, I wonder how it went in! Drogba showed tremendous skill and accuracy, a combination that he went on to show all through the season. I wonder how many players would be able to put it in the back of the net from that range even without a goalkeeper.
9. Robben at Wigan in Premiership: How late can we score? Probably the referee had the whistle on his lips, when Robben’s low-driven shot gave us three crucial points. Those were difficult times - third choice goalkeeper, missing our centre back and inspirational captain, fundamental errors and still came out with three points. Credit to Robben for hoping that it would go in. Hope is what got us the goal.
10. Carvalho at Man United in Premiership: Pride was at stake. We can’t go down to Man Utd, wherever it is. We had to send them a strong message. Carvalho rises than anyone else to equalise and thereby forcing Sir Alex to settle for a draw. Very important goal in the context of the psychological battle between Jose and Sir Alex. After this, Jose could confidently proclaim that we’d beat Man Utd at Stamford Bridge (well, we didn’t have to, finally!).
11. Kalou vs Tottenham in FA Cup: 2-3 down in a knock-out match and at home with 4 mins to go. It was pressure all over. Chelsea was not destined to go down. Kalou who has been little inconsistent, had his chance to become a hero at home. Martin Jol could hardly believe that his team blew off a 3-1 lead with 25 mins to go. Surely, Chelsea are not going down.
12. Shevchenko at Tottenham in FA Cup: Payback time. We had to avenge for the crucial loss at White Hart Lane in the premiership match. Shevchenko produces a moment of magic which was very very ‘the-Sheva-we-knew’. When he ball crossed the line, not many realised that it had really gone in - the commentators, chelsea/spurs players, fans - everyone was stunned. ‘Has Sheva found his scoring feet?’ was the talk around then.
13. Wright-Phillips at Tottenham in FA Cup: SWP was having his best season at Chelsea. He has been very consistent with his quality of shots and finishing when he gets the ball in front of the goal. This fantastic goal shut Tottenham out of the Cup. How sweet was that?
14. Kalou at Watford in Premiership: 0-0 at the 93rd minute. It is all over? Well, not yet. It’s Chelsea and it’s 1-0, thanks to Kalou. Precisely this is what Jose has given us. The undying self-belief and the hunger to go for the win as long as we are on the pitch.
15. Essien vs Arsenal in Premiership: Chelsea has been involved in some incredibly exciting matches this season despite what the biased media reporting says. Once again, from being 0-1 down after the 80th minute, we could have easily won the game 3-1. Essien scored a screamer that no goalkeeper could have stopped, to make it 1-1 and send shivers down the goners’ spine. In the last 10 minutes, we simple scared the shit out of the arses, which was pure fun to watch.
16. Wayne Bridge at Wycombe in Carling Cup: Jose tried Wayne Bridge as the left midfielder in this match. Wayne, like the other Chelsea midfielders, showed that he can score goals too. For someone who plays as a second choice left back, his finish was simply superb. Unfortunately, as he chipped the ball over the keeper, he collided with him and was stretchered off. The post match comment by Wayne Bridge saying ‘anyway we got the three points’ after the knockout tie, was legendary.
17. Drogba vs Arsenal in Carling Cup: Well, he scored twice in this match but I refer to the one where he skinned sorry Senderos for 274th time. A classic centre forward goal, as they call it. Drogba rose above from nowhere to head a superb Robben cross and showed the difference between boys and men.
18. Shevchenko at Porto in UEFA Champions League: It’s a general belief that Shevchenko’s buy was made with an eye on the champions league. He did not disappoint me, when it came to the cups. A smart pass from Robben and a super-cool finish from Sheva kept our European dream alive.
19. Ballack at Blackburn in FA Cup: Michael Ballack deserved this moment. He had the passion and the determination all along. Like Kalou and Sheva, he just had to get accustomed to a new league. This goal was very important for Chelsea and for Ballack. This was not most difficult of finishes but he was there at the right place at the right time and held his nerve to score. The shirt-swinging celeration got him a yellow card after this goal, he didn’t seem to care a bit about all that.
20. Essien at Valencia in UEFA Champions League: History did not favour us. No English team has ever won at the Mestalla. Essien wanted to re-write history at the stoppage time in the massive Mestalla. Very Chelsea-like, Essien did the unpredictable to catch the opposition unawares. From an angle where everyone expected him to cross, he thought of a little surprise gift.
21. Joe Cole vs Liverpool in UEFA Champions League: I missed Joe Cole as much as Jose would have missed him. He has this positive vibration and energy, that really lights up the game and his fellow team mates. A tired Chelsea was playing a fresh ‘holidaying’ Liverpool but that didnt stop us from winning. This was a classic counter-attack initiated by a wonder Carvalho pass that Drogba crossed to Joe Cole, after losing his markers in style. The transformed Joe Cole takes every chance he gets and makes something worthwhile with them. This goal put us in the driver seat in this tie.
22. Wright-Phillips at West Ham in Premiership: May be, our players were annoyed and angered at themselves for letting in a league goal after a gap of 3 months. We started from the kick-off after the Tevez goal and in a swift blitzkreig, we put things back into perspective. SWP’s finish was awesome and I wonder why he does not display this too often with consistency.
23. Essien at Arsenal in Premiership: Centre backs dont score those kind of goals, do they? That goal would make the centre forwards proud. Michael Essien is a centre back cum right back cum central midfielder cum right midfielder cum attacking midfielder who can score some superb goals. Talk about versatility. Sir Alex later on said that he was in agony watching the last 30 mins of this smatch. Essien’s goal started it all.
24. Drogba vs Everton in Premiership: A Premiership record was at stake. To remain unbeaten in home league matches for the third season and to equal Liverpool’s record, we needed Drogba once again. It was a goal from a man in top form. Now, all it takes is a draw in the first home league match of the next season to create history. Truly this was a very vital goal in the bigger scheme of things.
25. Drogba vs Man Utd in FA Cup: Drogba’s most important goal of the season? Well, I’d say so. It’s given our second trophy of the season, Jose’s sixth trophy and his first FA Cup. It’s gotta be the most important of the season. His wonderful season had to finish this way. On the 116th minute of the 56th match he played this season, he had enough hunger to make a precise 1-2 with Lampard and finished with the most delicate of touches.
All these are magnificent goals in their own respect. If I’ve to choose only the top 5 of these goals, it will be in this order:
1. Drogba vs Man Utd in FA Cup
2. Shevchenko at Tottenham in FA Cup
3. Essien vs Arsenal in Premiership
4. Drogba at FC Barcelona in UEFA Champions League
5. Drogba at Everton in Premiership.
Which of the above 25 goals would you rate highly and in which order? Remember, the criteria considered are (i) the difficulty involved (ii) the stage of the match (iii) the importance of the goal (iv) the drama around the goal and (v) the sheer joy it brought us. Come up with your views.

(1) Drogba vs Man Utd in FA Cup
i choose this one, Although it was not the most beautiful, at least this goal gifted us the FA CUP.
if we won the premiership , i would choose (3) Essien vs Arsenal in Premiership
(3) Essien vs Arsenal in Premiership , this goal is the best goal that i have ever seen in my life.
3. Maysam
by the way , as you know, chelsea is comming to the U.S.A this summer.

4. danski
Iv alredy started searching for the the above listed goals to try and create a compilation of them! will put them in order and you may have it if you like!
Drogba’s goals against barca and looserpool made my heart skip and my voice disapear!!! many a fond memory in the above list!
Great blog BC been a pleasure following the page over the season! same again next season buddy!
bravo danski! thanks a lot man. you’re saving my time. i’d love to have your compilation in this blog (with credits to you, of course!).
6. vikii
The best goal was Drogba against Everton. That was an absolute thriller. Essien against Arsenal comes a very close second. Drogba against Liverpool at the bridge should be third followed by Lamps’ goal against barca. No.5 here is Esssiens goal against Valencia and Carvalho’s against Spurs
7. cap123
Essien’s is the best in my opinion, such a strike.
8. Al
Hey BC,
Lamps goal against Barca deserves to be in top 5.
Goal out of nothing surely deserves to be there.
9. Ashton
yes it was a fantastic goal but it did not win or draw the match and we had another 40 minutes in the match. so i too think it was a great goal out of nothing but i won’t put it in top 5, may be 6 or 7.
10. fwembt
The Essien goal was incredible, a wonderful strike. This is off topic but there is a very interesting article at http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/fink_tank/article1851667.ece that ranks Lamps as the second best player in England… and Gerrard at 80.
11. boruff
essien wonder strike against arsenil was the best in EPL.
drogba’s goal in the final FA was the best in all cup matches
12. Manish
In terms of greatness, Essien’s against Arsenal stands at top…it was a mathematically calculated strike form a player not known much for such adventures…precision was of topmost quality and we all know it came at a very crucial stage…Lampard’s pile driver against Everton was also an amazing effort with all the ingredients Essien combined…precision, power, placement and crucial timing in the match…
but in terms of sheer joy(or relieve)I would go for Robben’s last minute strike against Wigan and Drog’s blinder against Everton….
BTW,after Sidwell who else is going to join Blue juggernaut…
my wishes….
1. as rumours are that Lamp may be on way out and Barca is in pursuit, so y not go for Ronaldinho swap..
2. Tevez/Eto….
3.Also rumours are that Sheva may return to Milan…so y not get Kaka in exchange….giving Alex if they also demand him…
13. Alby
guys it don’t care who players will come at Chelsea but I don’t want Lamps to leave …
14. fwembt
Manish,
I enjoy Lamps as much as anyone here but there is no way we are getting Ronaldinho or Kaka for him. Lamps and Alex are not prying Kaka away from Milan either. Tevez would certainly look nice in blue.
15. Adonis
I screamed so much at the Essien goal against Arsenal, I literally lost my voice for a couple of days. I screamed for about five minutes. So, I’d say that was the goal of the year concidering excitement. But overall, Drogba’s goal in the FA Cup final has gotta be goal of the year for us.
As for the trade rumors, I’d be delighted if we signed either McCarthy, Tevez, or brought Crespo back… And for CB, I’d like to see Alex or Manuel Da Costa in Blue.
16. Manish
Guys, I am of the view that we seriously need a world class playmaker like Ronaldinho or Kaka….
17. Alby
Manish,
I agree with we but mustn’t give Lamps to take Kaka or Ronaldinho because the work that Lamps makes in our midfield anyone can’t make it as well as Lamps!!!
18. Manish
Guys I know everyone of our players is an important cog in Chelsea ‘machine’…but when I wish for any specific player I do so keeping in mind a very important aspect of transfer market….it’s that most of world class experienced players
look for target team’s footballing style along with money when pondering transfer
and it definitely helps in bringing down rates…bringing in these players will definitely add to our style of play and attractiveness…..with all respect to Lampard I am not sure he can be that instrumental in this regard….if we don’t bring these flair players we will continue to pay exorbitant prices…moreover these flair players also play a major role in adding to fan base which is a very important aspect in any club’d success.
19. joeblue
JM has a lot of catching up to do in the transfer market arena , he is one of the worst if not the worst manager in the transfer market currently among the big clubs!!!!
RB…… has been a problem since his arrival , has only added the slow and not-good-enough Ferreira ,this pos has been our bane for far too long!!!
CB……JM has managed to weaken this aspect as well , except for Carvy he has signed only the shit among all defenders Boula , and has let Gallas and Huth leave , guess he couldnt do anything to keep them but atleast cld hav signed better replacements!!!!
LB……first he lets Bridge go on a loan with no cover and signs the utterly useless and injury-prone Del Horno who becomes a flop , is sold and JM calls back Bridge and even sign Ashley for no sane reason ,only the season before we lack a LB and now we hav 2 good ones we cant keep happy!!!!
GK……JM hasant done anything big enough to mention in this area has only signed Hilario our no.1 and no.2 r Ranieri’s signings!!!!
CDM…..Maka has been the master of this position but now hes getting old ,Essien looks a perfect replacement(signed by JM)!!!
CAM…..Ballack has been rubbish , Lamps is still our best bet JM has not brought in anybody good enough to either replace Lamps slowly or shoulder his responsabilities!!!!
Wingers……Joey and Robben r full of class but r pretty prone to injuries , no replacements and no subs , except for the grade 2 player SWP!!!!
Strikers…..Shev was a disgrace , Kalou too young and inexperienced to harass premiership defenders and Drogba the only saving light , hell we cant depend on him scoring 50 next season , he needs help!!!!
Conclusion——– JM has signed only 3 top class players in 3 years incharge and we r still dependent on Ranieri’s signings all over the pitch , Mr.Jose please pull up your socks Roman hasant given you 250mn in 3 years to sign only 3 good players!!!!!
20. Maysam
JOEBLUE ,
I beleive Roman Should have kept Ranieri. all effective players were bought by him.
I personally don’t like my club to buy big players or at least the players who are so famouse in the world such as Sheva and Ballack. I agree with you about Sheva and Ballack. eventhough i beleive they will be among the best players of chelsea next season.
I am really heppy that chelsea bought Sidwell instead of a big player. I am really excited i want to see him and his play. I was not that excited when Ballack came to chelsea or Sheva.
by the way, I think Mourniho is not the only guy who decides about buying new players.
21. Adonis
I agree, Maysam… I doubt Mourinho would have signed Sheva and Ballack on his own… there are many young, less expensive, better players than these two, and JM is certainly smart enough to know that. And Joeblue, you never mentioned what was perhaps our best signing this year… Mikel. He’s certainly the better choice for us at CDM, as that would allow Essien to play a RM role, where we use his talents better.
I agree about Sheva and Ballack not being the best signings in the world, but I’m sure at least one of them will be worth it next season.
And I’m very glad about Steve Sidwell’s signing, as well. He’s a sound midfielder who’s very similar to Lampard in many ways. He will certainly add depth to that position and allow Lamps to rest next season.
22. Arul
Somebody on this site is talking about the blues having the last laugh. Let me take the privilege of reminding you that you are no longer the “Blue Champions”.
We muscled the title away from you this season and there was nothing you could do about it. In the cup final and in the Stamford Bridge encounter one might feel we must have had a just penalties on both occasions. Considering all that somebody is talking ill about Giggsy for claiming the cup final goal. The ref did not award a free kick to chelsea in which case the goal should have stood coz the ball had crossed the line. Anyway it was not as bad as cech claiming that the ball never crossed the line.
This season we are going to be even better for the addition of Owen, Nani and Anderson and guess what we bought them from the money we generated from the club and did not dig into our owner’s wallet. Come on Devils
23. Adonis
Arul… it was apparent that Giggs kicked Cech into the goal and that Cech first stopped the ball clearly outside the line. Giggs didn’t score, he fouled. The ref should have called a foul and awarded a free kick. Also, Cech didn’t say the ball didn’t cross the line. He said that when he stopped it, it was not a goal and that after the collisions, when he could see clearly and wasn’t obstructed, the ball wasn’t completely past the plane. As for the Stamford Bridge encounter, it was pointless. Neither team truly went all out for the win.
Manchester were the luckier team by far throughout the course of the season, especially with injuries, yet their record against Chelsea was two draws and a loss. They deserve their crown-don’t get me wrong-but they didn’t show anything to suggested they could beat Chelsea in an injury free match. And when they had the chance to truly show Chelsea who’s boss on the big Webley stage, they were beaten, fair and square.
So, my friend, after all that our teams have gone through this season, it was Chelsea that got the last laugh, the final piece of domestic hardware we hadn’t won under JM, and we’ll set our sights on the League and Champs League next year.
24. Arul
My dear Adonis
I have the utmost respect for what Jose has done at Chelsea. Don’t get me wrong but isn’t it a bit of a shame to be ranting about injuries after spending 200M over the past two years. The policy of Chelsea has made it difficult to compete with them over the past two years. We just have to identify a player for the blues to come in and flex their financial muscle and nick him right under our noses. Robben, Mikel, Essien ….. We have learnt our lesson. Frankly nobody saw the Anderson deal coming and I am happy we have concluded the major chunk of our shopping without making any real fuss. surely victory is sweet when you guys have had to wait 50 long years for it to arrive but it is a great deal sweeter when you earn it instead of buying it. I am even surprised Jose is putting up at Chelsea. I personally would like him to make decisions on players and all other footballing matters at Chelsea but sadly that is not the case. You wont gain recognition until your policy changes.
And finally pal we too have had injuries to contend with Neville,Smith, Park, Vidic, Heinze, Evra, Giggs, Ole, Saha…..the only difference is we coped and you guys din’t. All that was needed for your title bid to crumble was a couple of months on the sidelines for JT & Cech.
25. Maysam
hey guys, as you kbow Ranieri joined Man City. I am very happy , I like this guy. and I am telling you he is dangerouse. he is very clever and he knows players very well.
I beleive Manchester City will be one of the best next season.
Good Luck Ranieri.
Let me guess one thing, He will bring Dmien Duff to Manchester City. :)) his mother loves Duff :))
26. Arul
True enough Maysam
Ranieri has got acumen in the market as he built a good Chelsea team with minimum resources. He also has the required tactical knowledge. He would be good for them.
But coming from the red half of Manchester I hope not.
27. Manish
Arul, if you think that Giggs’ was a legitimate goal then you are either a fool or you are just trying to hide your team’s failure…you were not even a threat in final and that too when almost half of our team was injured….ManU played well nodoubt but it was a season of transformation for Chelsea…we had to play differently from other seasons to accommodate new players while yours is a team of seasoned players and then our best wingers(Robben and Cole)were too out for major part of season….ManU has scored a single win in 9 facoffs since Jose’s arrival…this stat is sufficient to show that ManU is a crap against us…your Ronaldo can scare off lesser teams but against teams like us and Milan he seemed to be afraid of touching the ball…Rooney started as a striker but now he is relegated to being an attacking MF and you are looking for a striker now…lol…just dying for new season to begin to show u ur right place.
28. Arul
Manish I feel sorry for you. You just don’t seem to understand the situation at your own club. Even if Robben and Cole are fit Jose prefers to play a 4-4-2 Diamond and anybody who knows football would be happy to explain why you cannot play wingers in a diamond. Chelsea play better football while playing 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 as some prefer to call it. It gives you more speed on the counter which is so important to a pragmatic team such as Chelsea. But that clearly wasn’t the case this season you played it with the much documented diamond so any one or more probably both would not have played anyway. If you know football well enough you would probably have understood Rooney is not an out and out striker he is a rare talent who plays as a supportive striker and is given freedom to roam about the pitch. This does not in anyway undermine his importance as you have said. True enough Ron did not create the kind of magic he is capable of against Milan and Chelsea he looked a bit jaded but with a fit Park and Nani to provide depth he will be much fresher this season. You are right I am just dying for new season to begin to show u ur right place.
29. Manish
Arul, u said what I said…we opted for new shape for our new players and every team takes time to adjust to a new scheme…u won nothing under Fergie in first 2 years..regarding Rooney, ur club bought him as a striker but he is nowhere world class, so please stop throwing this crap that he is more of a supporting striker…27 m for a million striker…it’s not a good deal at all…ur club has already started search for so called world class striker….u have already started counting ur eggs as far as Nani is concerned…let him come, play for some time then only one can judge him…and btw where r u going to fit Nani et al…in place of Giggs, Scholes etc…if u try this u will be rallying at 3-4 spot my dear.
30. Manish
typo….
its ‘27m for a supporting striker’
31. Arul
buddy you still haven’t understood we are looking for a striker to replace Van Nistelrooy and not Roon. Anyway 27M for Rooney is worth every dime compared to 35M
for Sheva. Rooney brings more to the team than a out and out striker in his place.
Sparky was like that people always said he did not score enough goals but he proved his worth both at Man Utd and Chelsea.
32. joeblue
Another Manu punk it seems , i smell blood , ill-informed as u Manu fans always r and of course u also hav the amnesia problems relating to ur domination in the 90’s!!!!
UR team signed every player good enough to challenge ur team in the 90’s and the only great one u couldnt get was Shearer who took away ur title single-handedly , but did u give up??? NO , it makes me laugh for Manu fans to talk abt money domination ,whereas thats what u were doing until Roman came along!!!
Looks like it dosent feel nice to be the underdog after such a wonderful decade of complete domination???? Do u guys even NOW spend less??? Just cuz its not from Glazers pocket makes ur money white and ours black???? Tell u what buster , we werent a massive club like u so our club does not garner as many bucks but stand back theres a new sheriff in town , cry as u might we will see who has the last laugh funny kid!!!!
Yours truly
Joeblue
33. joeblue
And dont give us the Giggs crap , u r a funny lot , i wonder how u can dare to call kicking the goalkeeper in the goal legitimate , while ur own goalkeeper fumbles the ball into his own net and that goes unnoticed , guess its not just the bucks with the fans huh????or shld i say some special contracts with the refrees???
34. Arul
I don’t talk about Barca or the Galaticos coz they deserve every player they buy so do we. But you? Huh still you cannot compete.
35. joeblue
U deserve players for what???? Dominating the EPL and not letting anybody compete ??? or buying the best players of every rival??? or maybe cuz u hav the special refree protections???? Get out of ur virtual simulation kiddo , CFC hav arrived accept it , stop crying act like a grown-up and face the world as it is!!!
36. Arul
Where have you arrived you are not even part of G 14 which is a shame in itself and what have you won? Nothing compared to what we have achieved. Now stop acting like you are a big club with a rich history and face it. We are the champions.
37. Manish
27m for assistant striker….lol….I am in splits….
so if u paid 27 m for an assistant striker then what r u
gonna pay for ur main striker…50m..lol…btw papers
say u r going for Anelka…Anelka for 50m….Arul u r
a fool….what more can I say….
38. Arul
Manish you can claim I am a fool but you are again and again revealing your footballing naivety by undermining Rooney’s importance coz he doesn’t score enough goals he has scored 23 goals this season and has a even greater No of assists. Further we paid 1M for Keane whereas you pay 37M for Essien now who is spending crazy. That says something doesn’t it so its shut up and put up time for all Chelsea supporters.
39. joeblue
Shut up time for CFC supporters on their OWN blog???? And that too being ordered by an extremely foolish Manure fan ,LOL , u really got some guts(or maybe no brains) kiddo ,now allow me to enlighten ur pity worm-bed brain!!!!
1.Nobody cares how good Rooney is or aint , who cares for a striker unable to score in the national team colors for 2 years and breaking a goal drought abt 3 months ago in the CL from 2004, so abt time U shut up!!!!
2.So what if Manure hav the richer history???? Mark my words , what CFC r doing is MAKING HISTORY , so that future Manure runts like u can shut their mouths up big time , u pride in being in the G-14, big deal , what the shit hav u achieved with it over the years???? And isint it the same organization Platini sneers at and is asking to get dissolved????OH poor u guys , now where will u hav ur christmas parties????
3.Ur club paid 19mn pounds for a complete and good for nothing shit like Carrick , and 17 mn pounds for Hargreaves , 35 mn pounds for 2 youngsters ,is that what u call wise spending???? Ur poor team were suing Roman for not giving them a couple of mn pounds for Mikel whom ur crooks kidnapped , filthy beggers asking us for pocket change!!!! Guess u dont like being second best , being poorer , being so pathetic , so insecure , does it scare u????? Cant u sleep at night??? Look out behind ya , oops i mean in front of ya its bigger , better and much more sophisticated BLUE!!!!!
40. Manish
Arul, u really have no sense of time….for u 1m decade
back is same as 1m today…..u forget u paid 27m for
Veron who proved to be flop of the century…27m at that
time for a player is same as 40m today for a player..
u simply ignore ur flop signings….these are very first
signs of a frustrated person as he/she tries to hide
facts for fear of loosing the debate…well leave it…
as far as Rooney is considered he was brought as a
striker…no one splashes 27m for an assistant striker…
lol..and after all this crap u have guts to mention
Essien’s signing who everyone knows has been the best
MF in whole of the league and that too just in second
year of his tenure…what can be a better proof of your
ignorance or rather arrogance…really speaking I was
expecting much better from u as a ManU fan…but u
really disappointed we Chelsea fans….now we all will

Manish you just don’t seem to see sense at all. Rooney is rather a creative player who likes to get the ball and create oppertunities for everyone around him. That is a quality in itself and he was brought to the “Theatre Of Dreams” for exactly the same reason. Further instead of speaking of your team’s strengths you are trying to defame me which again is the attitude of losers. The fact that we almost signed Essien for 17M until you hijacked the deal and signed him for 37M goes to show the negotiation capacities and policies of our clubs. Further when we bought Veron he was one of the top players in the world and you have to pay that kind of money for players with a worldwide reputation and even then it was not so bad as you are pointing out coz you bought him for half the price from Man Utd. He was a even bigger flop at the bridge. For you to not mention the fact that you bought Veron from us goes to show who is suppressing facts and who is not. When you bought Essien he was relatively unknown outside of France and dis not have that much of a reputation in Europe. Don’t get me wrong here I am not saying he was not a good player all I am saying is that he did not have as big a reputation as say Ballack or Gerrard. If you buy Gerrard for 37M that is acceptable coz Liverpool won’t let him go for any less but that was not the case with Essien. Jean-Michel Aulas was talking about 20M before you guys came in and the fact that you bought him for 17M more shows how you are being held at ransome. Now who is talking crap buddy. Stop your moaning and learn respect muchacho.

Now for you Joeblue. First of all come out of your dreams and face it we are the champions and you were second best. Why did you pay 12M for a player who never played for us??? So we know who did the nasty thing. And stop complaining coz we got two of the brightest prospects on the planet. Lets see whom you sign. For all I know Mourinho might have an ace up his sleeve. Let me guess Peter Ramage for 35M.

2.How do u already know ur trash boys r gonna be heroes even before they hav played a tour match???? Putting in ur own predictions???? For ur kind info we hav till now spent …….nothing , nil , zero for 2 awesome players whereas u hav already spent 50 MN pounds , whats next????? Anelka for 16 mn , LOL , atleast we hav spent big on Drog and Essien , not Veron , Carrick , Rooney , Hargreaves etc etc!!!!!!

And RH this Arul is a disgrace on the Manu fans(i hope) , hes trying to prove we dominate the EPL thru money , and his team i.e Manure is much greater and better just cuz they hav a richer history , and r part of the G-14 , LOL , well its a big
