Chelsea vs Man Utd - 9-May-2007
As I enter my modemless second week, we play the newly crowned champions (hate to call them so) at the Bridge. You can expect both the managers to field a second side. We still have to win this for our pride. If we play like we did with 10 men in the second half against the ‘Goners’, we can give the redchampions their first defeat since winning the title.
Once I get back my modem & broadband, I’ll put up a new post on ‘Where & How Our Title Was Lost’.
I’m curious to see how José would appear on the dugout - would he be calm, would he be pushing his team in desparation to beat them or would he be indifferent. I expect to see second teamers such as Sinclair, Sahar, Woods and Cudicini. Players such as Lampard, Cech, Terry should be rested.
The title is lost and the Chelsea second team will play a ManUtd second team, but believe me, I’m as interested in this match as I was for the reverse fixture.
C’mon Sahar/Sinclair!

The only bad news is that is it confirmed that carvalho will miss the Fa Cup final…..such a shame. Other than that looking 4ward to thrashing man utd. Blue4lyfe

Ballack is also missing the final…
But cancorus, adding on to your point… The very near future is looking quite bright as well. We had unimaginable injuries to our back four and goalkeeper, and still we are the best defence in the Premiership. When healthy and gelling, we’re truly a magnificent, impenetrable defence!

I have a bone to pick with Joe Blue and Mid-field decider
You guys have been very clinical dissecting the faults and defiencies oF Chelsea this year. And I will will tell u that you were very good at that too.
But predicting something after or as it happened ( Like after the 3 draws in jan /FEb)) is OK . aNY TOP TEAM AIMING FOR THE tITLE IS GoNNA have a major hit in its hopes after that, everyone knows that.
But what about now when the season’s about over what ur predictions for next year ?
I’d like to refer to them 12 montrhs hence .
No animosity or spite in my question.
It’s just I’d like to see how ur predictions fare with reality for the next year.
And also Joe Blue u didn’t answer all my questions, Back Track to thsoe u didn’t.I’lL TICK EM RIGHT UP HERE HERE SOON IF U CAN’T FIND THEM
The ones u did answer were great but why be selective and leave those u feel
( if u mind me stating so )have a bias to ?
U say We are Jose Lovers. Yes I could admit to that 75%
But How much are u a Jose hater ?( If u would excuse the phrase cos I can’t think of another right now)
So What are we gonna be next year ?

Yes I am drunk while posting the last one and this one too.
What are we gonna be ?
How are we gonna fare ?
Are we to get better or not ?
Will we have a lot of horrendous injuries or not ?
Will Sheva and Ballack get better / acclimatize to the EPL ?
Who will leave ?
Will Manu be as good next year ?
Will the African contigent’s playing in the African Cup be as bad as the injury list effect tghis year?
And is JOse a better or a worse manager cos of this year ?
AND the big Question :
HAS CHELSEA GOT THE BALLS, BRAWN, BRAINS TO BE EPL Champions next year. And have a good chance of winning the CL ?
Cheers

I know I am not the one for whom the questions were intended but I thought I would have a go at answering:
1. We will be a methodical, mostly defensive team that occasionaly finishes brilliantly and wins mostly 1-0, 2-0.
2. We will win the EPL because JM has learned his lesson and will not carry a lean squad that will be so easily defeated by injury.
3. We will be healthier.
4. Hard to say.
5. Yes, look at the way others have struggled in their first year and then bounced back. The EPL is a different kind of football, it takes some time.
6. The Cannibal. Beyond that, who knows. Perhaps Maka, I think Mikel is quite capable of filling his spot on the squad.
7. Yes, they will be.
8. No, because we can plan for it.
9. Better if he learns from some of his mistakes. Worse if he does not.
10. Yes, all three were in evidence this season, injury and the failure of another striking option to appear beside Drogba were what held us back. As for the CL, God only knows.

what a terrible game i was gutted that neither team gave anything i mean i totally understand the strategy displayed, save all tricks for cup final but it wud hav been nice to show the fans what theyve waited for all season! i know this comment will be slated as ” we must preserve for the final” but balls to that any manure chelsea game shud be made special no played down! im speaking purely as a football fan here i wanted to see a game! but i guess roll on the fa cup!
Not the best of games but there were a few things to take pride in.

2) We rested some key players like Lamps and Didi,as well mourinho confirming robben’s fitness 4 THE fa CUP.
