Chelsea 2-2 Bolton: Falling Behind!
Truly it was a defining day! While it was such a bad day today, the only good thing that happened was that I did not get to see the match today. If I had watched the match for all 90 minutes to see that our situation go from bad to worse, I’m sure I must have been much more gutted. Great performance by Man Utd. They fully deserve their current position.

I might sound like an idiot if I say that we still have a chance. Anything’s possible, so may be we have an outside chance. After all, they need to lose to Chelsea and lose to either to Man City or West Ham. If two stoppage time goals could have given Man Utd the champions league title and treble, then anything is possible.
May be I sound strange if I say that I still have hopes. May be it’s got something to do with my personality. I simply don’t give up – at home or at workplace or in whatever, wherever. Sometimes, I wonder how people can lose hopes! I cannot simply apprehend this. Especially as a fan, I dont understand how hopes can be lost. May be I’ll never understand this!
Jose was very clever in his post-match interview. He did not appear to have lost hopes, also did not want to sound too optimistic:
It is not over because mathematically there is a chance. When the chance is there, we have to believe. But it is almost lost, almost. They have to lose two games and we have to win all three. They are very close.
There was maybe a bit too much emotion on our part, but there was a lot of heart. We put them under pressure and we were close to getting a third goal. I feel sad but I have a big game on Tuesday night and that’s a good thing in this situation. We have no time to be sad.
May be this what even I want to say. Mathematically possibility of league title being one side, we have an important champions league semi final on Tuesday that could put through to the final. If the Chelsea players are as sad as Jose and if they want to show a reaction, all they have to do is to get a draw and a win – draw against Liverpool and win in the final.
Like you all, I’m with Chelsea and Jose Mourinho in their pursuit for glory. Efforts are what we can put in. Results have multiple dependancies and factors. I’m proud of the efforts of our players and coach. Our reader Abdullah put it so perfectly that I have to borrow his line – “It’s a disappointment but not a failure”.
ok… lets not be so hard on the boys , i know we keep wasting all the chances we had , and i think we now officicaly out of the copetation -to be honost-
but if you want to know the reason i think the main reason was that they were showing the man utd’s game score on the staduem screen !!
i was shocked i mean chelsea is a big team how he could fall in mistake like this!!
the botom line … we lost one … there still two more ( to lose or to win !!)
thats the question
its not over yet ,,,,,
the race is wide open……….
go JOSE…..go…..we are with you always………..
joeblue . . we all know what the problems are. just because we dont say “you’re right joeblue” doesnt mean that we dont agree with you. still, i dont agree with every crap you say. where you cross the line is where you make this childish remarks like calling Jose a ‘fool’. I can quote 100 other childish comments of yours. plase criticise but dont have to abuse our own player, staff, coach, owner, board and fans. generally people use abusive language only when they cannot convince people by their logic. your language should be much more matured for an informed man that you are. that way i like the way m_d participates in the discussions, simply his logic, theory and opinions – no abuses at all.
m_d . . you’re right. there’s nothing wrong in criticising the team and it’s quite natural for a fan.
hey zubinj9 . . i like your attitude! no ricardo for the anfield game and rafa must be jumping for joy. khalid anyone?
BC – liked ur article man. never give up. fight till the death. i liked the message.
mathematically not over and yaaahh its not… lets get our focus back… book a place in the finals of champions league first.. dont get bookings so that we can have a good squad for the finals..
coming to premiership i think forget the last two matches and come up with a win at the emirates…forget manu… lets give this a fight till the last game when we entertain everton and manu plays west ham… as they say anything is possible..
saw the man u replay … it was just possible because of 3 gifts… 1st one dreadful handling of ball by goal keeper.. 2nd one awesome goal by phil for man u in everton colours… 3rd one what shall i say.. creating chance for rooney by everton … ahhh and 4th wont have been possible had first 3 not come…
lets hope we can come up with a win at emirates and its still very much possible.. its hard but its possible..
cheers

The task at hand for CFC now is ,I guess :
(1) To keep as much pressure on ManUre in the EPL as possible so to make them
use all their resources to get that one trophy.
(2) To conserve as much energy as possible for the 3 big matches ,Liverpool on
Tuesday , The FA with Manure and the Champions league Final(with AC Milan I
hope ,ManUre again would be frightfully boring ).
(3) To turn all the negativity and disappointment of yesterday into demonic
concentration and drive that will bring us The FA and The Champions
league.
(4) To analyze the weaknesses of this season, get reinforcements and get
ready to bash the hell out of ManUre next season
If we look on the bright side , we really DON’T HAVE TO win next week . A draw with the youngsters is OK.But ManU gotta play for pride against ManC thereby using up a lot of energy and hopefully pick up an injury or two.
And next season all the other teams will be shutting down Cronaldo while Scholes and Giggs are gonna be much slower.
I want CHELSEA to win the FA Cup and the Champions League. And if this is our darkest hour this season, I believe our time of glory is near on May 19 and 23.
Keep the Faith ( And a lot of positive criticism too )
And have all ur friends who support ManUre celebrate their EPL victory in style treating you to big expensive dinners and barrels of beer and wine.
After the premiership drought of 4 or is it 5 years they should be very generous and we should be very gracious and extend congrats and enjoy their grub and drink.
I will make an after-dinner speech in which I will tell them that putting Phil Neville into the Everton team to score the important OG was a brilliant stroke.Even better than JM’s hiding in a laundry bin .
Trublu , frustration is a part and parcel of the game , do u know what JM calls people when he gets angry ……… PUTA , in public , during matches , do u know what that means???? It means whore , so now what???? What do u say to JM’S childish remarks????
The worst thing i hate abt people is their short-sightedness , whats childish for one is frustration for another , and what do u mean OUR own players , staff etc. etc. they r PAID right through their noses , players r earning the hugest salaries in Europe , JM is the highest paid coach , so atleast I expect good results almost always!!!!
Standing by the team in crisis is necessary , but realastically , who inflicted these problems??? JM himself , why shld we hav such a big crisis at CB for a match as important as the CL semi-final????by losing only one player we hav to play our best midfielder in CB , what does that make JM??? It does not take a genius to figure this out but only elementary knowledge, which as we can all see is JM’S weak point!!!
I dont need to convince anybody , i know what i say and every person has their own opinion , hav i ever questioned u abt urs?????
Lets face it Manu hav played like champs throughout and they deserve the title , not because they were much better than us but cuz they planned MUCH , MUCH better!!!!!
Chelsea, Chelsea… How can you mend my broken heart?!…
joeblue . . just because you’ve typed in 1000 words in 4 paragraphs, you can’t be right. you’re still wrong. stop comparing yourself to jose. please dont confirm your IQ level. soldiers kill enemies in war, so you’ll also go ahead kill people and say that ‘soldies do it, so will i”.
stop ranting about the players/staff salaries. what do you expect? becuase they’re paid well, they need to win every match and every competition? they’re human too.
jose mourinho is the best coach in the world. on this, i’d take opinion from fergie, rafa and arsene than a peanut like you. he has done everything right and that’s why even on the 1st of May, we are in all competitions.
i welcome your opinions but stop abusing anything that’s chelsea.
you know whay, I am sure Manchester will lose some points, but there is a question, will we win all three games ?
Back to back Priemerships and two Carlings in three years. This season, one of the Carlings, and FA Cup Final, Champion’s league Semi-final, and a 2nd place finish in the league. And some of us are calling for Mourinho’s head? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; the sun don’t shine on the same dog’s behind every day. Chelsea controls it’s own destiny for two more trophies. And if they win either one (I believe both), who among us will wish there were another manager? Who else would you defeatist choose?
Okay, Jose can be a disagreable, arrogant pain in the buttocks. But, the failure of Ballack and Sheva to play to their potential and injuries to Cech, Carlo, Terry, J Cole, and Robben played a big role in our 4 point diffrence from Man U. Think about it, Chelsea had to play weeks into months with a third string goalkeeper!
I’ve had my doubts about winning a third straight prem since Christmas. All in all, this has still been a pretty good season and still has possibilities. So, let’s stop whining and pray that they will keep winning. And if you really want a team to cry about, try West Ham. GO CHELSEA!
Chelsea is my favourite and united might be too confidence of the title making the remaining 2 teams who are hunting to kill the lions to make records succed mathematically but we must be steadfast not to loose any game again.I hope so,nobody is to be blamed.Everyone is doing great job.Wish us well on tuesdaay night.
Joeblue is right; we made a titanic mistake in not having at least one more CB, and not signing one in the January transfer. How much was he going to cost?? 20m pounds? That’s chump change for Abramovich, and it’s certainly worth a title. I do believe this season has been quite a positive one, I do believe Jose Mourinho is the world’s best manager, and I do believe that we’re focusing too much on the negatives. But it is certainly an interresting thought, had we had a center back to fill in the gap, Essien playing in midfield, and Cech between the posts for the whole season, what we could have accomplished.
It was really like a see saw ride switching between channels looking for scores in both the matches….ManU deserve the title….they were hungry for EPL….I think that made the whole difference…..now we should just concentrate on CL….CL title will be a great triumph for a club which went through all sort of possible problems….
But
continued….
But I still believe this season must had been a great learning experience for Jose….he made mistakes in signing of new payers especially defence…we really need to beef up our defence…
Firstly Trublu JM is not a GOD ,u might consider him the best manager but i doubt u take language lessons from him( i surely wld never), being the best manager in the eyes of a crazed fool like u does not mean that he is the best at everything he does!!!! Hardly even close!!!!!
So u want to say that just cuz a runt like u has written some crap it has to be right???? Take opinions from Rafa and Fergie???? Are they ur pen pals day-dreaming nut ??? Or u been playing with them since childhood???? And if u hav them why come to a blog , after all ur in such elite company!!!!
Those players R humans , but they r getting salaries worth gods , even Ronaldo is not paid that much then what do U expect??? Well a dreamer like u might luv Shev’s form and Terry’s performances , or even the way we concede 2 from second-string Bolton at home!!! LOL , that might be the best U can think of , but then u always had the imagination of an ant!!!!LOL!!!!
people – joeblue is a man united fan and he’s having some fun here at our cost. you find such people in all blogs.
joeblue . . you suck and you don’t know anything about football. once again, you showed that you’re a kid with your abusive language. congrats! you’re team is no.1 in the table. you must be happy! enjoy! oh i’m sorry, you don’t know anything about football, right?
this has been my suspicion for so long. good that you clarified it tru.
joeblue is a man utd fan, having fun in the chelsea blogs. cuz no chelsea fan wud abuse our own players and manager like this. i name him joered and henceforth want all to call him this way.
joered(blue)! your language is a disgrace and the way you pounce on people, the moment you’re confronted, that is even worse. dont be an immature kid. learn to convey your message with dignity. grow up, in short.
Thank you BC for using my line:) i greatly appreciate it. Now lets hope we qualify to the champions league final. Go Chelsea! Blue4lyfe
U Trublu u ask me to clean my language whereas i hav not even downgraded to the extent of yours ie calling people s*** etc…!!!! If i’d be a Manu fan i’d be celebrating the title not arguing with dolts like U!!!! Shame ON people like u call urselves CFC fans whreas all u love is the stupid manager and the under-performing players not CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB!!!!
All of u shld go and join the ‘I LUV JM’ blogs , cuz here we want CFC to be sucessful and be respected not the manager and his rash comments!!!!!And who the hell r u whore(i mean puta) , ‘this has been my suspicion….’ heck i dont even know u non-entity , and i just heard ur name for the first time , what r u to change my name!!!! And Ashton STAY OUT OF THIS when two people r talking u shldnt sneak in and start giving ur crap moral lectures!!!!
AND SINCE U HAV NOTHING MORE TO SAY TO MY EARLIER COMMENTS TRUBLU EXCEPT FOR THE CRAP MESSAGE ABOVE , U R NOT EVEN UPTO MY KNOWLEDGE OF FOOTBALL , SONNY…..SO HEREBY I WANT NO COMMENTS FROM U ON ME AND I WILL DO SO VICA-VERSA!!!!!!!
FROM NOW I DONT KNOW U AND NOR DO U , ME!!!!!! END OF STORY!!!!!PERIOD!!!!
Hey guys calm down,
Joeblue is a CFC fan in frustration, that’s all.
I don’t know if he is a kid or not (guess not) but he always points out real problems our club has. You may not like the way he criticizes but you should accept that he is right.
Everytime some of us start to criticize some player or the manager in some context we receive responses like “Without him we wouldn’t be in 4 competitions bla bla bla”. Do you know what a generalization is? That’s exactly what those responses are. Ok it’s a fact that Jose is one of the best 5 managers in the world. He is a very smart guy, he knows how to put pressure off his players, he is second to noone at motivating his players, he is probably the only manager in the football history who managed to win so many big tropheys in such a short period of time. But like every human being he has his weaknesses. So he is not perfect. Thus we have every right to criticize him when he makes a mistake, especially when it is an elementary mistake. And we (FOOTBALL FANS FIRST OF ALL) are clever and educated enough to point out to some football manager’s mistake and be right, even if that manager is one of the best managers in the world. Thus when one of us says that Jose’s mistake is this or that it’s just CHILDISH to give a response like “Do you know better than Jose?” Instead of that response you should analyze that mistake and give alternative explanation if you think that the critic is wrong.
In conclusion to this issue we are right at saying Jose’s mistakes are having a small squad for 4 competitions (what was he thinking about at the start of the season? Only God knows), having no back-ups to CB position (did he think that his main CB’s were injury-free supermen? Only God knows), not resting his main players for the whole season + having no proper tactics to play with subs and win a game (if he thinks that he is a special one he shoul manage it).
As for the Premiership, I don’t find it right to chase Mancs after this point because we have to win Champions League whatever the cost is. Chasing almost unrealistic League Title can cost us realistic Champions League. If we win CL this year this will be the greatest season in Chelsea Football Club’s history and nobody will even remember that we lost the Premiership. You know what I am talking about. At this stage of the season all players are very tired and injury-free (Carvalho, Ballack are examples). Thus if we will play them to beat Arsenal and ManUtd in the league then we can lose EVERYTHING.
May Tuesday be a memorable day in CFC’s history.
Good luck Chelsea.
Sorry,
I meant “At this stage of the season all players are very tired and injury-prone (Carvalho, Ballack are examples).
Guys, I liked these words told by Mourinho after the Bolton match:
“When we lost the semi-final (to Liverpool) two years ago, we beat Bolton two days before, we celebrated the Premiership title two days before. And who knows, this time we lose two crucial points against Bolton and we go there and win the tie and go to the final.”
Is it a coincidence that 2 years ago we played Bolton before the semi-final 2nd leg at Anfield against Liverpool and we played them this year too under the same circumstances? I hope not. I hope it is a destiny.
what a stupid piece of shit you are JoeRed? You say as if you’re talking to trublu from your mobile phone or something. Idiot, this is a blog. You’re not speaking to each other. You’re posting it for everyone to read and respond. It’s only because of stupid fans like you, Cheslea fans get a bad name.
it’s high time you’d gotten civilized. we’re in 2007.
I want SWP to start tomorrow.
Thanx for the vote of support M_D , these guys were attacking me from all sides , half of them i hardly know(though i never even want to)!!!!!
Do u guys seriously think a kid can point out the mistakes of JM and discuss these topics with such a wide range of knowledge???? Guess not!!!!!!
M_D u r absolutely on the money , the facts r in front of us that JM has made elementary mistakes which if i start listing r one too many for this post!!!!
I admit JM is a very good manager , but on this blog it seems it is criminal to point out any of his mistakes!!!!
It seems JM was never prepared to fight on 4 fronts , he hardly gives any respect to the Carling Cup and i think he expected us to be out of the FA pretty early as well , a squad of 23 is not good enough to compete so vigorously , another factor has been that this season our subs hav been low-class , as JM has only signed slowpoke Ballack and past-it Shev , on the other hand we hav lost Duff , Crespo , Gudjohnsen and Gallas all versatile and experienced men who hav not been replaced well enough!!!!
Our bench is very weak SWP was a horrible signing , Ferreira has been a burden for far too long , Boula is not good enough to play in the EPL!!!!We hav so far survived only cuz Drog has been outstanding , and Carvalho has stood as rock!!!
But JM’S failures r too many , yes he is a genius, yes he is a great tactician but he is also prone to making mistakes , its better if people start to admit this!!!!
You are welcome, joeblue!
Guys, as I said before, there’s no need to dispute.
Discussion is one thing, dispute is another.
Let’s put the fat bloke Benitez (oh how I hate him!) and scousers where they belong to on Tuesday.
Cheers.
Joeblue:
1. It is not criminal to point out mistakes. It’s only the language of yours that was sickening. I read you above post. Now you’re talking like a man. Well done.
2. Dont put all the blame on Jose for the poor signings. It was all for Roman, by Roman and to Roman. If you’ve been following Jose since his Leira days, you’d know that he never goes for star value.
3. We could not do much about Gallas and Crespo. They wanted out at any cost. Duff and Gud wanted more first team chances. They were good but certainly I’ll cry if I see them play when we have Robben and Joey.
4. Boula is good enough to play EPL. It’s only his first season which was injury-ridden. He certainly has the potential. Carvalho was crap when Jose bought him.
5. Now you give all the credit to Drogba and Carvalho (how about praising Jose for these two wonderful signings?). Do you think Man Utd would be on top of the league table, if Cristiano Ronaldo was not outstanding for them?
6. Jose is human and like any human he can also make mistakes. If we, Chelsea fans, are not fair in our judgment and assessment of our manager, who would then be?
U Ashton whats ur problem???? Its was a post talk between me and Trublu , seems like ur a loner trying to bang into posts between other people , or r u Trublu’s servant or maybe ur uneducated thats why u write joeblue as joered???? Any way i hav never tried to post anything for u , go get a life!!!!!
Hereby i will ignore all ur foolish comments as that of an attention-seeking , slave-servant , ignorant runt!!!!! Goodbye to u and ur master!!!!!
