Liverpool vs Chelsea: 01-May-2007 @ 19:45 UK: We Are Not A G14 Club; Are We Allowed To Go Through Please?

This could be a historic night for Chelsea. If we manage to win this tie, for the first time ever, Chelsea would make it to the finals of the Champions League. It can’t be a tougher task than to knockout Liverpool at Anfield. Well, it’s tough but certainly possible. Arsenil eliminated Liverpool from two competitions at Anfield, one of which was humiliating like hell. The task on hand is not to beat them by a three-goal margin like Arsenil did. All that we need is a draw or a score loss with one goal margin.

Chelsea 2-2 Bolton: Falling Behind!

Truly it was a defining day! While it was such a bad day today, the only good thing that happened was that I did not get to see the match today. If I had watched the match for all 90 minutes to see that our situation go from bad to worse, I’m sure I must have been much more gutted. Great performance by Man Utd. Chelsea vs Bolton: 28-April-2007 @ 12:45 UK: All set to cut the gap!

Could this be the defining day of Chelsea’s title defence? Anything can happen on this Saturday when Chelea is hosting Bolton and Man Utd travel to Goodison Park. On one side it appears that we are destined to cut the gap tomorrow, with injuries in Bolton and Man Utd, Everton is top form and we play at home and Man Utd play away. On the other side, it could be a tough task with fatigue really catching up and some of our top players badly needing some rest. Out of the 4 matches left to be played, Chelsea plays 3 at home and Man Utd play 3 away from home. So, this Saturday may still not be a ‘nail in the coffin’ types, for Chelsea.

Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool: Now You Can Say The ‘F’ Word!

A thoroughly clinical performance by Chelsea. The scoreline doesn’t do justice to the way Chelsea dominated the game. It was one of those days when almost everyone had a fantastic game. Going by the way the game was played, for a moment you might thought that it is Liverpool who are in all competitions. This match was a quite a treat to watch. It wasn’t a goal fest but you could see the tactical battle where Liverpool was worn down by our superior midfield which was missing Essien The Engine and Boom Boom Ballack.

Chelsea vs Liverpool: 25-April-2007 @19:45 UK: Payback Time!

When Jose said that Liverpool are the favourites for this tie (because they are on ‘holiday’) it was more of a mind game than an honest admission. That was more than a week back. Now, the night before the first leg, it is not too far from the truth. In the last 30 days, not only Liverpool have played less games than Chelsea but also they are out of the domestic cups and left with inconsequential matches in the league which explains Jose’s ‘holiday’ jibe. Certainly, tomorrow night Liverpool will have the fitter squad.
