Just six points . . .

Why doesn’t it go beyond 6 points?
Once again the crucial weekend has been kind to us. Our loss on Saturday does not hurt us now that badly. Despite all the great football that Man Utd has been playing and all the injuries and other frontpage issues in Chelsea, we are still just 6 points from Man Utd.
I’m sure this loss would have done a lot of damage to Man Utd’s confidence and they must be awfully disappointed. For more than 24 hours, they knew that a win on Sunday would put them 9 points ahead. The fact that they lead for 80 minutes and still lost the game must have added salt to the wound.
In December, Jose had said that Man Utd have not taken advantage of Chelsea’s out-of-form displays. It was then seen as a part of psychological warfare. Now, it’s very clear that he was right and there cannot be a better instance than this weekend matches to substantiate his claim.

Jose thanks Fergie for the Sunday result but says I wont return the favour!Â
Remember, Man Utd’s next few fixtures are very risky away games which can go either way. They have put pressure on themselves by this result. If my wishful thinking comes good, we should be on par with them by end of February.
I’m watching this match between Barca and Gimnastic, which Barca is winning 3-0 despite some mediocre football. The defensive line-up is this: Marquez, Puyol, Thuram, Oleguer, Zambrotta and Belletti – all available for this match. I can’t help but envy their availability than anything. We have three central defenders – Terry, Carvalho and Khalid – none available!
Peter Kenyon has confirmed that we would buy a central defender before the transfer window closes. I hope we get two specialist centre defenders, even if they are not of the top quality.
This weekend should be considered as a major let-off for Chelsea and we should pull up our socks and do the Chelsea stuff.
Unbeaten runs are not good enough, it’s time for a winning streak!

thanks Henry
Thanks Fergie, I would say! Fergie’s defensive tactics gifted the match to Arsenal. Man Utd were not looking for the second goal, they were wasting time, they brought in Heinze for Ronaldo at 1-1, and they sat back instead of hammering the arses.
Anyway, I’m more than happy with the result. Man Utd still needs to play some crucial away games – Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham etc.
I don’t know I can say we are in luck or not.
on the one hand , our important players get injured, on the other hand , manchester lose a game that they are winnig.
I think If we add a CD , we wil have this chance to catch manchester.but but If chelsea does not add a CD, not only we will lose the title this season , but also I believe Jose will leave chelsea.
i really couldnt watch our game..on saturday…but wat do u guys say about cech’s perforance on return..??..is he looking the same??
there is a single reason for our under performance…two of our MFs(Lamps and Ballack) are least mobile in EPL….they don’t do much running….we have to do away with one of them or we will continue to perform badly specially in absence of solid defence…..
Yes Varun he made some saves , tried to inspire the defence and looked pretty confident unfortunately his pals Carvalho and JT were not there to aid him!!!!!!!
The Arsey’s hav done pretty well in defeating Manu , but we must remember we were lucky ,any other team could not hav done the same and such slip-ups time and again r not expected , already the draws hav slipped us too far away, any more slips and that cld mean the end of the race!!!!!!!!
Thank u arsenal 4 beating man u. The difference is still 6 points and now since terry, cech, carvalho are back i think we can get over our defensive worries. Will terry and carvalho be fit 4 the blackburn game? We NEEEEED to get on a winning streak. The title race is harder than ever. I have just looked at chelsea’s schedule and for the last five rounds of the premiership which are probably the most crucila, we will play man u followed by newcastle, bolton, arsenal, and everton. I have faith in chelsea and hopefully they will get back 2 thier form and win the EPL.
Plus here is a great vid about chelsea this season and the 6-point gap between them and man u.

Nah i say thanks HENRY!!
And hi im new btw, just googled this blog, pretty like it
Hey spooky, welcome!
Anyways, its been a long time since I posted (been away to alabama).
But I still dont get it. Why wont Jose get a reserve CB in the starting line-up? Who knows those kids can be really good sometimes.
Anyways, my point is that there is still a chance to win the EPL. This season can be history in the making and we dont even know about it.
José must be watching these kids in the training and reserve matches. May be, he feels Paulo as CD is better than Mancienne etc. What I mean is he would have already considered this option.
i think that we should use, what we have we should use a CB from our reserver,
6 points is still a big gap but like you rightly pointed out. United still have to travel to Anfield and the Bridge. Besides, they will be in WHite Hart Lane this weekend. (not easy by any means)
I am just curious, why doesn’t Mourinho introduce ANY players from the youth team. For even a 10 minute spell during a match? I am talking about a league game. Are all the youngsters so poor? Surely they gotta be better than Mikel!
