League Cup: Wycombe vs Chelsea: 10-Jan-2007

WycChe.PNG

Sheva and Ballack to score!

I dont expect a second team to be fielded at Wycombe, with some of the first team players yet to show their worth. The back four would be most unlikely set of defenders you would expect play in those positions. Essien might start this match as a centre back along with Paulo.

Lassana Diarra should play unless he misses the team bus or something. I wish Ballack plays at a more attacking role, possibly the attacking tip of the diamond. Sheva should score - whether he gets the service or not. In Lampard’s absence, I would prefer Sheva to take the spot kicks, if any.

Interestingly, it has been an eventful period even though there were no premiership fixtures. Among other things, Peter Kenyon has rubbished the rumours about Jose leaving, and Jose has defended Michael Ballack:

He is in the team because not the fans, the president or journalists pick it, but because I do. Michael has not done anything amazing yet, but he is a team player and sacrifices himself for the team. That is another reason why he plays.

When asked about the media story about players unrest about the inclusion of Ballack, he said:

I know nothing about the story. I have read a few articles like this but I know nothing about it. Reports about problems in the dressing room are not correct. Do we want more from him [Ballack] in terms of performance? Not from him, from everybody. And if the objective is to put some kind of pressure on me then no chance because I pick the team, nobody else does it. Press opinions, other player opinions are not for me. Tomorrow he plays, and I hope it is the first step for him to play his first English cup final.

It will be a two-legged tie. If we win this one comfortably, I would prefer to see Ben Sahar, Scott Sinclair, Michael Woods and Mancienne in the playing eleven. Before that, we have to beat Wycome with some confidence and authority.

For me, a 0-3 result would be sweet enough.

Is Robben fit for this match ? If yes, he should play atleast 1 half.

Anyways,

my team for 2day’s match.

Hilario (No option)

Geremi —- Essien —– Paulo - Bridge

Ballack ——John Obi —– Lamps

Sahar / Sinclair ——Sheva ——- Kalou /Robben

Bench -

Drogba, Maka, A.Cole, Hedman,Sahar / Sinclair.

I know there is too much experimentation in this team, but still i would go with it. I would like to see more of John Obi, Sinclair and Sahar.

Kalou and Sheva must score today & John Obi should get chance to play for 30 - 45 mins.

don’t know their preferred positions of Sinclair and Sahar. Please forgive if any mistakes.

Thanks

I hope that atleast one reserve player gets to play 90mins. Other than that I’m quite sure that Sheva, Obi, Kalou, Bridge and Ballack will play.

Hi guys,

This one on January transfers

I think we should sell Ballack or give him in a loan. He was rubbısh at the World Cup and has been so since then. Waste of space! We can also get rid of Ferreira and Bouhlarouz. Maybe of SWP too.

We need to buy 4 more players. One striker, one CREATIVE midfielder and one fullback and one right-back. For a striker Milan Baros would be a perfect deal since he is fast and used to EPL and will not complain of benchwarming (used to that too).

What are your thoughts?

I dearly hope never , Essien has been the best performer this season and has even been drafted in the dream 11 of 2007
what r u talking abt analyser i never expect Essien to score goals , he has been versatile and fit for every match, he will be one of the best midfielders ever mark my words!!!

Anyhow he does not play in a role which demands goals he is going to suceed Maka and how many times hav u seen Maka score, only twice cuz hes not supossed to!!!!!

why should we sell ballack?
he is an asset to us.who told in world cup he was poor. he was at his best.its because of him argentina eliminated. he is a true footballer in every sense. he could take and make goals on freekick from any range.but he is not getting the chance .
he will surely respond to this media speculation very soon…..

Ballack is a world class player but we hav to admit that his prime is over and not anymors can he tear apart defences on his own for me there was no need for Ballack as we already hav Lamps whos better and younger instead we should hav gone for either Deco or Ronnie or Kaka they r the type of players we need to create something out of nothing !!!!!

okay guys prepare for the bad news RA is getting frustrated with JM’s methods despite repeatedly asking JM to play ‘beautiful football’ ie bring flair and style to the team JM has stubbornly remained with his defensive ideology !!!!

Another factor in the spite has been JM’s inability to win the Champs lg. and his outspoken nature which has prevented CFC’s entry into the G-14!!!!!

And if JM goes everyone knows whos gonna replace him ………….. Dutch great Guus Hiddink!!!!!!!

Let him go wherever he wants

He cannot even beat second division Wycombe. What a fool!

Bring Guus Hiddink.

Well I was telling a friend who bets to go for wycombe yesterday.
Kinda had the premonition that it was going to a negative result for chelsea but remember Saturday’s date with Wigan is infinitely more important . I personally wouldn’t want to win at any cost ( well there was not gonna be any- -any- cost- fling for the winning goal either with a team depleted by injury and suspensions)

The ups and downs
The frustrations and all
makes for an interesting season but my priority / wish :
I want the EPL title this year so CFC goes down in history as the first team to take it three times in a row.
Correct me if I’m wrong about that

Saturday It’s us

Do you remember that Man Utd has been eliminated from League Cup this season by a team called SOUTHEND.

So, Alex Ferguson should also quit now?

what BC commended was great.
dont blame on just three draws(epl), and one now at carling cup.
when we won two on a row(epl) ,every one praised JM and now we r facing real problems with injury.its in the football.we played against wycombe with only one left back. the other three defenders were all midfield players and they did their best.
keep supporting and motivate our pride players and JM and they will surely do it for us…..

Well as Chelsea fans
as I see it we got two alternatives for this season

(1) Be positive and supporting and then lose or win the title
or
(2) Be pessimistic and win/lose the title

Now for me I am taking the first the . Always have , always will. My gut feeling tells me it’s a bad season, but I am enjoying the football and if just if we do break outta this situation , it’s gonna be indescribable.
If we win it would love to buy u all beers ( ten rounds) then
Even now would buy u 2 rounds .
My optimism as fan is intact. I guess.
Why don’t we get together and start rumours about Manure.
That would be real desparate on our part

And also all this talk of the manager and club in crisis , antsy with the owner and leaving cause of a slump even though he did an incredible job done in the past years.

Sounds like Sir Alex Ferguson 2 years back. LOL LOL LOL
Come on guys JM’s a legend too.
]
And when’s the transfer door closing?.
Well if I were the board at CFC I would use some speaking with forked tongue stuff and bring in people at last minute or secretly line-up re-inforcements . Make for much better business and tighten the stiffness in Manure’s chest.
The circus goes on
Anyways
Cheer up guys .

do any one knows if JM leaves chelsea.?
then he would be on great demand in epl.
in this stage liverpool will grab him and then if fergi try to stop workin then MANU, and if any of these two happens then chelsea fight in epl for future would be tough. he knows chelsea very very well than any others. he knows each players strategy.
so its important that JM stays here @ stamfordbridge.
JOSE please dont leave chelsea.

We all here support the same team but our notions of football may differ and noting is more natural than that.

I understand what RomanHoliday says about support but I am agree with Joeblue on this matter. BC claims that even Mancs were defeated by Southend but Mancs never played the rubbish football Chelsea does. When a team plays a brilliant attacking football and still lsometimes loses nobody will criticize those players and the manager. Why? Because it is obvious that the team lost either because the opponent played better or because they were unlucky. And at least that feeling of beautiful football remains in your heart which promises you the bright future. And that is the way the likes of ManUtd, Barca, Lyon and some others have been playing football. But when you look at Chelsea you clearly see that the problem of such called “crisis” is not an opponent or a bad luck but it’s your own display. Boring, messy, rubbish football. We should ask Jose: “Why on earth are playing this SH*T?” Untill now he has had all the resources to bring the best players in the universe to the Bridge and to some extent he did. So why is he so afraid of playing brilliant football. In fact this year playing attacking, safe football is not even a real problem. The real problem is TO PLAY AT ALL. Chelsea do not play football. There are no connections between the players. Some of them do not run, some do not pass, some mispass, some do fouls very often, some cannot score. So who is guilty? A schoolboy will answer to the question this way: “The manager” and he will be right. The question is that simple that even a schollboy will answer. Change the manager change everything.

2-2 AT HOME TO READING (A.Cole’s own goal, JM should keep GALLAS AT ANY COST)

0-0 AT VILLA AGAINST A TEAM WHICH LOST 4 PREVIOUS MATCHES (WHAT A SHAME!!!)

there is no need of keeping gallas.
u mentioned instead of bringing old legs(shev and ballack) JM must have bought and played young legs, then why are we keeping willy.
ashley is doing well and he was in prime form against MANU who fought till the end to ronaldo.
and also carvalho is doing very very well…
he played his last four matches with angle injury coz he knows the responsibility of defence moreeee if terry is not there…
CHELSEA GO ON WE ARE WITH U ,ALSO JM U R THE BEST….
