Neighbour’s envy, owner’s pride!

A small tribute to the most impressive player of this season in English Premier League. Didier Drogba’s best goals of this 2006-07 season so far. Drogba has scored 20 a whopping goals so far with just about a half season to be played. For the first time for Chelsea, he also scored his hattrick in the Premiership and in the Champions League.

When Sheva was signed, not many people would have given him a chance. There were rumours about Drogba leaving Chelsea claiming that Sheva’s presence would harm his own chances in the team. Even the most popular chelsea blog once claimed that Drogba looked like a Sunday league player when compared Eto’o. He has completely transformed himself into a new player and he has just rubbished all these nonsense with his football. He has not only challenged the world’s best but also aspires to become one.

Hats off to Jose in keeping his patience with Drogba and supporting him in every controversy and also signing/retaining/extending him in Chelsea.

Out of all the goals he scored so far in this season, my top 5 personal favourites are:

1. Volley against Everton at Goodison Park
2. Equaliser at Camp Nou
3. Against Liverpool in Stamford Bridge
4. Solo against Blackburn
5. Winner against Barca at Stamford Bridge

Drogba is a symbol of Chelsea’s power, resilience and atitude. There are already odds for him to score 50 goals by the end of this season! Impossible is nothing!
