I’ll do it again, and again, and again . . .

Among all trophies, Carling Cup is the least respected in England. Clubs are ready to field weakended teams and they dont make a fuss even if they lose to some second division club whose name resembles that of a supermarket. The league cup is relatively so small that it is not even broadcast in Asia. Now you know what I mean. Yes, I couldnt see this match too. I hope at least the semi-finals and finals of the league cup are broadcast.

Going by the reports, we played bollocks and once again a doube D killer blow won the day for us. Expectations on Chelsea are very high and that’s why the above statistics are reported as bollocks. We are expected to thrash every team that comes on our way. We’ll deal with it. We did not play our best team, as per Jose. And that is the only reason why Sheva started while Drogba was on the subs. Few months back, I wouldnt have imgained that I would ever say this. Sheva starting ahead of Drogba, because we dont want the strong team to play? I still remember, when Sheva signed for Chelsea, not many gave too many chances for Drogba. As we had not expected a 4-4-2 then, it was natural to think Sheva would always start and Drogba would be sitting with frustration in the bench.

How things have changed now? Drogba vying for the player of the season and also becoming the most pictured player of this blog lol! Twice in the same week, Drogba comes in after 70 minutes and scores the winner. Drogba himself and Jose should take all the credit for the transformation of Drogba from good striker to great striker. Though the introduction of Sheva has given Drogba more space and less markers around him, it was only a collateral happening. I dont think wat transformed Drogba is just the formation or composition of the team. Mentally, he is very strong player now and his techniques and skills have grown manyfold and while these are happening the formation has also helped his/our cause.

Among other things, Jose has apologised to Everton and AJ for his pre-mature outburst. Fair thing to do because Jose was wrong. In fact he should thank AJ as he tried to avoid colliding with the goalkeeper unlike the brainless Stephen Hunt. I’ve seen worse things. Remember Arsene Whinger calling van Nistelrooy a cheat?

Okay, we are through to the Semifinals of the Carling Cup. Important game at Wigan coming up this weekend. Well, in reality, any premiership match is as important than the other. How about a Chelsea win in Wigan and a Man Utd defeat at Villa Park?
