El Clasico – Barca battered
Real Madrid just continued what Chelsea started with Barca this season. The in-form Barca who scored a brilliant 3-1 win over Sevila (Ronaldinho scored two) were completely outplayed by Chelsea last week. And Real Madrid made the best of the battered confidence of Barca. Barcelona once again gave away a clean sheet but this time to a first choice goalkeeper of top quality.
Two of the finest strikers in Europe scored for Real Madrid. Raul’s header was simply fabulous and that’s a goal that you can see several times.
It was only Madrid who looked like the team with an interest and intention to win (Madrid was held by a third division team in King’s Cup today, but that’s another thing!) as Barca’s lacklustre show continued. I hope it continues for another week.
