Cech & Cudicini injury videos

Cech being Hunted!

Now you can see video of both the injuries yourself over and over again. I would advise you to see each of the videos atleast five times and scrutinise like FA does.

Here is the video of the injury to Petr Cech. The camera angle from behind the goal line is the perfect one as it shows the real impact and seriousness of the reckless tackle by Stephen Hunt. This was not a 50/50 ball, Hunt knew that Cech would catch the ball and he cannot make it. But some god damn reason, he went on with his run and dashed his knee on Cech’s skull at top speed and may be, ended Cech’s season.

Peter Hamlyn, the eminent neurosurgeon says that

If Petr Cech returns too soon from his head injury, the result could be fatal. He risks what is known as ’second impact syndrome’. With that in mind, I would think Cech is likely to be out for at least six months. If the brain underlying the fracture has been greatly injured, his time out may be even longer.

For Cudicini, the demolition man was Sonko, whose foul went unpunished or even unnoticed by Mike Riley. See where the ball is, and see from Sonko comes from and where he ends up. Looked like he had only Cudicini in his mind, when he went up the air.

Chelsea FC official website says the the Club has reviewed the video of both incidents and they endorse the post-match comments of José Mourinho regarding the seriousness of these incidents. Chelsea will be writing to the Football Association with our observations.

Henrique (in case you dont know his first name) Hilario, who would play against Barcelona in the Champions league match on Wednesday, has sounded very postive on his role:

I have a lot of respect for Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini, but I came here to play and take my chance when it comes and make it hard for Mourinho to leave me out.

Let all ‘title contender’ clubs rejoice the state of keeper-less Chelsea. But I feel, these incidents should only fire up the Chelsea squad and we would come out strongly and show ‘that’s why we’re Champions’.

forget Reading fc he was probably one of the idiots who was singing BARCELONA BARCELONA as Carlo was being stretchered off.

Anyway Carlo was at Chelsea’s training ground today and he thanks everybody including folks from Italy for sending their best wishes for his recovery.

Chelsea FC will be announcing shortly a statement on the condition of Petr Cech

    Here you go
Petr Cech was well enough to receive visitors at the hospital – John Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford – today and most of the first team squad were able to travel down to visit him.

Carlo did some light work of the training runner (about 15mins) and he said on Chelsea TV tonight that he will start work again properly on Wednesday (subject to medical advice) Carlo claims that he will be available for selection for the Portsmouth game.

    COME ON HENRIQUE
    COME ON CARLO
    COME ON PETR

    COME ON CHELSEA!!!!!

I just hope Carlo is ready in another week or two!

Good gesture from Sam Allardyce who has offered to loan a goal keeper, when we are in times of need. I think Carlo should be back again and we should be out shopping in the January window for a GK on loan.

[...] After Cech’s and Cudicini’s injuries at the weekend Chelsea will have to face Barcelona tomorrow with reserve ‘keeper Hilario and will have reserve goalie Yves Ma Kalamby on the bench. I kind of feel sorry for Chelsea, I mean Cech could’ve died apparently or had some serious brain damage. Cudicini is a great goalkeeper but he’s going to be out for a while too. Our German no.1 has had his say on the events: Jens Lehmann: [...]

    I hate one sided websites.
i am not a reading supporter or chelsea. but i bet all you narrow minded people would not say the same if if had been the other way round or if it had been another team.

go to a different league and buy the title there instead.

Well as this is a CHELSEA blog. We are entitled to be one sided. But if you took the time to read all the posts and comments, you will see that this Blog is as impartial as anybody elses!!!

As for buying titles – thats old skool. Please come back with something more original.

    COME ON CHELSEA!!

I’m A Reading fan and was at the game when the keepers got injured. Reading dont cheat. least we actually won a league without buying it. Where were you when you was poor?? it is a shame the two keepers got hurt but sometimes thats football, steven hunt picked up one yellow card in 66 previous matches for the royals. I think the whole thing disguised the fact that chelsea nearly could have been beaten and your football isn’t as grat as it was last season. all that money and you finish second, your blame that on Reading too i guess. get over it, last seasons top goal scorer Dave kitson got badly injured during the middlesbough game on the first game of the season by a foul. do we hate middlesbough, their fans or their players?? no. so get over it and enjoy second spot.

Reading Till I die – I was there when we were s**t and that included the day that Chelsea could have been relegated to the old third division.

Waste of my time – cos you wont read it LOL LOL LOL

  22. avatar 22 | joeblue Reply to this comment

Why are some people defending Reading are they blind or nuts both the fouls there was no intent for the ball but for the keepers you should be ashamed to defend such horrific and distasteful football you play!!! so stop blogging gits!!

Simply put – its becoz it is Chelsea. If Chelsea players were to have done exactly the same thing – there would be absolute murder called for!!!
Had what happened to other goalkeepers there would be nothing mentioned, but becoz it is Chelsea, nobody has sympathy for the boys in Blue.

  24. avatar 24 | joeblue Reply to this comment

Whatever hell breaks loose the men in blue will be up at arms and beat Manu ! i know all the other clubs are just jealous of us
all they need is an opportunity to have a go at us and they even defend such actions…… can you believe it that there was no action taken against either Sonko or Hunt even after chelsea lodged a complaint , our keeper could have died.
And we see our players sent off for nothing (Robben last season for goal celebration, Terry for doing absolutely nothing against spurs)…..THIS BIAS IS GOING A WAY BIT TOO FAR!!!!!!!!

[...] There is too much hype about reception of Hunt and Sonko at the Bridge after their moments of stupidity which has had a substantial impact on our season so far. Essien  also says that they need not fear about a revenge in the Bridge. Those were not intentional fouls, those were just negligence, carelessness, poor judgement and recklessness. These things do happen on and off the football pitch. I dont bear any grudge over Hunt or Sonko. I’m not against booing them. They deserve some punishment for their recklessness and so far, they have been left scot-free. But I’m certainly not for brainless death threats. [...]
