Arsene Voyeur . . . errrr . . . Arsene Wenger finds Chelsea under pressure again!

“Let’s do some talking, it is easier than winning”
The voyeur is at it again. He just can’t stay away from talking about Chelsea. It sure makes him feel comfortable. Three weeks back Arsenal was reeling at the bottom and couple of wins against the relegation battlers and here he is again. And what has happened in the last three weeks – one win against Man Utd which could have gone either way, win against Sheffield Utd (#18 in the table) that inluded an own goal, a lucky lucky win against Charlton (#20 in the table).
The below is what Arsene Wenger said yesterday:
It is pleasing to think that Chelsea won’t have a monopoly on success, even with all their money. Chelsea can be beaten in the Premiership this season. I am profoundly convinced they can and I believe we are the team that can beat them. It is not easy for Mourinho. With all the superstars in his squad, he is under heavy pressure to deliver. As for myself, I have the pleasure of watching youngsters like Manu Eboué, Johan Djourou, Mathieu Flamini and Philippe Senderos make the breakthrough. That has been an additional bonus for me.
This is desparation stuff from Arsene when he says with all superstars in the squad Mourinho is under pressure to deliver. Is Arsene not under heavy pressure to deliver? Let his management say so. Someone needs to tell him the Chelsea management expects to win only one Champions League title by 2010 and two by 2015. And by winning back-to-back titles, Jose has, in fact exceeded all expectations.
When Jose arrived in England, he was perceived to be under heavy pressure to deliver, he did deliver. Again in the next season, he was under heavy pressure to deliver more, he did it again. Now Arsene says Jose is under pressure to do what? To do what he did in the last two seasons! Arsene will do a lot better for himself if he concentrates on his team instead of fingering the Champions while he himself was a clear 24 points short in the table.
I always believed that Arsene is jealous of the success Jose Mourinho has enjoyed and this jibe on Chelsea spending money etc is pathetic. At least Jose Mourinho is a European Champion with a Porto team that had no money. Arsene could not win the Champions League in a decade’s time and Jose did it in few years of being a manager. And it takes a lot of courage and skill to be able to manage a team of superstars. I’m sure not many people can do this better than Jose and Arsene is certainly not one of them.
When Arsene was making similar remarks last year Boss said this:
I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea. It bothers me because the guy is speaking all the time. We never speak about them.
You can do it when you are top and you have a big morale. When you are on game number 11 and you still can’t win away from home, and when you are without Thierry Henry and he can’t win a game, he should be worried about them. He’s worried about us, he’s always talking about us. It’s Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea. I might be worried if my team made a defensive mistake. I shouldn’t be worried about what Arsenal did at Tottenham. They are always speaking about the other families. I don’t know if he wants my job, I don’t know. He loves Chelsea.
While I’m eagerly awaiting Boss’ response to this, I wouldn’t mind if he does not respond at all concentrates on our three points and a clean sheet.
May be Arsene has planned to do this every October. Last year he did the same thing in October and to his embarrassment, his team just, only just, made it to No.4 and they had to celebrate the fact that they have made it to the Champions league spot. Having the risk of missing out on Champions league next season, the team under pressure now is certainly Arsenal than Chelsea.
As he is so excited about this new feeling of winning away games, you may not be able to stop him from talking. So, I have some suggestions for Arsene Wenger on topics to talk about:
1. The perks of being a member of G-14 and having your vice-chairman as the chairman of G-14
2. The benefits of having your vice-chairman in the FA and having your fixtures done as per your script
3. Henry’s poor form that he could not shoot a free kick in the radius of 5m from the goal post and missing the goal from point-blank range when the goalie has given up and started crying
4. How diving for penalties/close-range free kicks has improved Arsenal’s beautiful game with English values
5. His inability to form a good defensive unit as all these babes will ripped apart as the season goes
6. What happens if Jens Lehmann goes out on injury for 3 months or so
7. What would have happened if Henry had joined Barca end of last season
8. On why “he ziz noz zee ze inzidenz” when he was at arm’s length in the tunnel (no, we won’t forget this!)
If Chelsea wins the hattrick of title it is the icing on the cake and if Arsenal does not, they may not win it in the next few years. The pressure for Jose is not from outside but from himself that as a champion manager, he always wants to win and win everything. He is a born winner. Let Arsene Voyeur do the talking while Boss does the winning!

That was unnecessary from wenger. his team is still weak and only he has a lot of work to do while Chelsea is sitting pretty.
good post. one more topic for wenger – why a bigger pitch in ashburton grove is causing problems for his team
Thats a good one too!
arsene always has this habit of talking about other clubs. he did this with sir alex and now with chelsea. its about time he concentrates on his team which is still a question mark despite the last few wins.
HILARIOUS caption!
Wenger just won’t leave us alone,he’s obsessed,
